12:00 Recap
---
One of the most challenging parts of being in sales is closing over the phone.
Sometimes you might not know what to say to move a deal forward or get to the next step in the sales cycle.
Not only that, but phone sales requires a much different sales skillset compared to talking to someone over email or even in person.
I remember my very first sales call... I was nervous and didn't know what to say, and the prospect hung up on me and told me never to call back again.
But with practice and persistence, I became significantly better and effective with closing over the phone.
So in this video, I'll be sharing my top 3 tips to closing sales over the phone.
1) Tonality: How the sound of your voice is one of the most essential factors in phone sales and closing over the phone.
2) Ask Questions: How to use the 80/20 rule to make sure you're only speaking 20% and asking insightful questions, while the prospect talks 80% of the time about their pains.
3) Closing Techniques: We'll be going over the top closing techniques I use to close sales over the phone.
By the end of this video, you'll learn how to sell practically anything over the phone.

So true, if the voice is nice, i actually like to talk to the person for a while longer.
I've never done sales now after hiring on with a new company I find I'm cold calling trying to sell a product that 10 other businesses are already selling. Thanks for your videos. I'm training myself so I can keep my job lol
Glad you're finding the videos helpful Lisa. Best of luck!
How's it going? I'm about to hop on a career in B2B sales, with some cold calling, which I've never done before. A bit daunting.
Remember that if you aren't the cheapest, value is built in other areas.
I am in a similar situation. Were you able to keep your job. If yes what helped you.
How you making out in cold calling?
Spot on.. What if they say they need to talk to their significant other or boss first and they won't/can't budge?
Love the "Is there anything else you need to see in order to make a decision today?" - especially as someone who is showing people "all" of their options, this is a going to be key! Thanks Patrick!!
Man I left hospitality after 17 years and started my first phone sales job today.

Closing is the challenge and handling objections
I love your vids
Hi. Great information video. My #1 challenge on sales is following and trying to close without seeming pushy or desperate.
Thanks, yeah, it's a balance most salespeople have to get used to.
You the guy.
Great lecture!
from Korea to America. Hyun Keun Kim.
Closing over calls , a pitch for B2C would be great, also make a video on how to build rapport on first call.
Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll add that to the pipeline!
Great work Patrick, liked your video. I'll try all 3 pointers into my sales call and see how it works. Will share the feedback too.
best of luck!
partnerships deal often fall apart when comes to who pay the money (to build the product), how would you advise where do we come in and round it up again?

Hi sir , I have deferent situation right here , we deal with online laundry services. how can I retain the customer over phone. How to introduce our new service to the customer (customer can pre book their slot for period they require laundry service, once they placed automated order an order will be placed automatically on particular they decided ). If you have any solution please make a video, Thank you
Best same day sale closing technique?
My number 1 sales challenge is presenting myself properly
Learn on how to handle objections better and actually closing the sale
Same thing I do
Patrick, I am actually selling something that won't cost the client any money. I'm selling unwell people their health back through a benefit of their existing insurance. They cannot believe there isn't a catch. I can't seem to get past that. People don't believe that they are getting something for nothing (because it's included in something they already pay for). Would love your thoughts.
This is awesome! Do you happen to use Chris Voss's Never Split the Difference as your reference too??
Thank you Patric am really thank full to your video
I got promotion as a sales person just 4 months back every month i need to get 1 sale per month that is on solar for Australian people but most of the time customer tell. i don't want to go
After the first call they sound really good but when it comes to move forward they don't think its not worth
After lot of effort when customer tell am not going or we will wait I feel really low
its my problem so any suggestion from u Patrick
Wow great video!! So so useful! my n°1 challenge during a call is lack of determination, I give up too quickly :(
Thanks! Just keep going and you'll get the hang of it soon!
@@patrickdang thank you ❤️ your videos have been very helpful 😍
thanks for the video and tips! how would you act differently if you are a technology startup selling a pilot project to evaluate the value for the customer - so he understands the potential vs the "pain" of not having it now
I would actually take the same approach. Ask questions the probe into what pains your prospect may be experiencing. Once that's established, get the prospect to talk about what their ideal situation looks like. At that point, I would then pitch your startup's solution on how you can solve their pain and get them to their ideal situation.

I've watched all the vids like this I can get my hands on, & put it all out there, have been told " great tonality" & I don't stop trying, & nothing is working, I stink, real bad, it's timeshare, & I don't like the product, am older, I can't handle the loud hip hop being played in the office, I've figured out this gig ain't for me, telesales SUCK......!!!!!!
Can i use this techniques to sell websites
Thank you for this. I'm new to sales and it's been fucking rough! Soul crushing.
ThAnk you, I get nervous before the call. I'm a new owner, provide a service for home owners. The call when they need a roof or repair
Everyone’s so scared of generating leads by themselves.. I’m terrified of the amount of calls it might take to close 10 leads 😂😂
My major sales challenge is usually at the end of the call during closing my prospects say I need to check with my family/anyone close to them...
So how do I handle that? What if they want to but because someone else said no, they will not be going ahead with me...
Ideally you want to set up another meeting with them, the person they have to talk to, and YOURSELF. You want to be the one selling the product/services to the other person and not the prospect you're calling. You can try "Let's set up a meeting with you, [the person they want to talk to] and I'll be there to answer any questions you may have. etc."
@@patrickdang No. Sorry respectfully disagree. IDEALLY you want to qualify your lead/prospect at THE BEGINNING of the call not the end of it. This is Sales 101. This prevents you from wasting your time/ getting your hopes up/ pitching non-buyers / getting negged out / etc. by qualifying them at the beginning after your warm-up. A buyer doesn't mind being qualified. Only non-buyers get offended/upset at qualifying questions ( your welcome). And personally, in my sales industry , we have found the "partner" objection or "wife/husband" objection is a b.s. objection used simply by some buyers/leads as a tool to not buy today/ blow you off without buying. Overcome this by asking, upfront at beginning of call, if all decision-makers and partners are on board with this project? ESPECIALLY THE WIFE/HUBBY. And do they need to talk to them before making a decision here today or do they already have their blessing to move forward without speaking to them if they find right product at the right price...if they need to talk to a partner before deciding either you are about to get stroked or do your job as a closer and get the other person on the hone. Not tomorrow. not later today. Now. And give lead an incentive or benefit o get partner on board now. Ultimately, They are not buying without partner ...if can't get em on phone now blow them of nicely yelling them to cal back when they get partners blessing/ on board and move on to next lead. You would be amazed at how many leads using the "partner" objection turn out to be straight strokes/ shoppers/ non-buyers. Finally, Muskan: just bc you overcame lead about their partner the doesn't mean this lead doesn't sill have another or several more objections ready to use on you to not buy today. Qualify correctly and right after: hit em with a spbq ( If/Would scenario) right between the eyes. Good luck and don't get discouraged...youre asking how to get better/ overcome objections so obviously you are on the right path/ can be a closer.
@@karlshorb3811 🎉🎉 wow Iet me right this down to make sure I captured everything.
hey ive recently been watching ur videos and i dont mean to be disrespectful or anything, but how old are you ? im currently 17 right now and i want to be able to get money and idk if inbound closing is worth it for me. i would love to travel and work when i want to so just wondering if you have any advice
Patrick I want to know how can I start my sales career
When doing cold calls, I usually get response like how did you get my number. I want to know how I can handle that.
It's a funny one, I would say someting along the lines of 'my predecessor kept your details on file and was convinced that contacting made sense i believe' Another way to get to your point is to say the same and add your question to it
The hand gestures makes it feel like he is rapping lol
The 3th Question l.What if they say yes.I like to how much you earn monthly should you then show them ?
What sales role close client deals? Are they BDRs, AEs?
