I got the P790’s (2017) and I’m in the market for some PXG’s. I have a fitting scheduled for Wednesday and I’m so excited. I do think that the P790’s are good clubs but I just don’t get much distance out of them, I got the NIPPON Modus 120g shafts on them and love the ball flight and I stick them on the green with the high apex I got, but I’m tired of having to rely on longer clubs when I should really be hitting a mid iron on approach or par 3 holes. I play from the tips and I just don’t get enough distance from them. I’m a 10hdcp and I’m really excited for the PXG fitting experience, I got my mind set on the 0311 gen 3 XP’s but who knows I’m open to all of them, seen some great reviews for mid-high handicappers on the T’s, P’s as well as the 211’s, even interested in testing some graphite shafts!

I bet with what you're telling me that the T's might be something you could consider as well. But I will say, I didn't get any improvement with the Gen 3's over the Gen 2's. @@MattWilliamsGolf appreciate it Matt, I did check out that video before this one. That was interesting because I saw other reviews saying the gen3 did have significant improvements from the gen 2. Will find out tomorrow, if I don’t get much on distance I’ll probably just stick to my 790’s.
If you want more distance and more forgiveness, but still not a hard feel. Perhaps try TaylorMade P770, Titleist T200 or T300, Srixon ZX5 (not as much help with distance), Callaway Apex or Apex DCB. Let me know if you end up trying any of these.

i have mizuno 921 forged., i think i need a little more forgiveness and distance but don't know where to go. the p790 felt hard and clicky to me.
