Thanks guys. Your hard work is a gift to us all!!!!
These guys have some serious endurance man.. that was such a super intense performance session and they played flawlessly. Bet they slept well that night.
Never heard of this band until tonight! Whoooooaaaaa!!! Had to grab the handles on my recliner to keep from getting blown about 20 feet backwards! Petruzzi is a master guitarist, Portnoy comes as close to Peart as any drummer I have ever seen. Levins is playing a bass I am totally unfamiliar with, and Squire, Pastorius, et al probably never dreamed of it. Buress (sp?) is playing a Roland that I would die for...and would spend the rest of my life not getting to half as good as him. Wow! Just freaking wow!
This is really a masterpiece concert from one of the most amazing bands of all time! As simple as that!!! An unique, creative and powerful endeavour. Give me more!!! More new albuns, please!!!
Kindred Spirits will always be my favourite LTE track. The harmonized solo between Jordan and John at 16:42 is an absolute masterclass. The outro of the entire song still gives me goosebumps, and I have been listening to this song between 300 and 400 times a year since I first heard it, and that was in 2004.
It puts a smile on face face every time to see how much these guys just love making music together and what joy they get from performing that music for others.
I am quite shocked that their are only 143k views on this over 7 years! Knowing that I account for hundreds of those I'm in shock that this hasn't reached the millions yet.
Me myself have also seen this several times but sadly it doesn`t count for more than one time when you use the same IP adress. It has counted upwards since you put in this comment but yeah - should have been more. Lovely music with real artists.
Awesome, awesome music and performance. Beautiful, rich, complex and virtuous. Such a pleasure to hear and watch this master class musicians. I only wish they the would make more music like this. I listened to it many times. I can't get enough of it. Maybe just orchestral TD? One could only wish, right? Bravo John, Mike, Jordan and Tony. I wish I was there.
All due to John's broken amp, so most of it is pure improv. Only when John successfully played the first notes on his new kit did Jordan revert to the original song. What an amazing solo!

Man! I wish I could find a copy of this DVD. This is a masterpiece in anyone's estimation. I have the albums, but the live performance is the best way to hear this music. It also allows for expansion of the ideas in the songs.
Muchas gracias por este tan dedicado trabajo … fui con todo mis familia y ahora lo volvimos a revivir en junio de 2024 ….. muchas gracias viva DT por siempre
Have not heard about the band before - my fault - but as it was running in the backgroun, I felt it was Dream Theater... and surprise, surplrise, when I had a look at the video, I recognized John, Jordan and Mike... Great music, like always! Thanks to Champion for sharing...
Oh My Gosh , How in thee heck did I miss this !! Double ding dang, they are so darn good !! all way round. Loving the complexities. Hugh level talent & full on creative expression and more...wow, wow,wow !!.... play on gypsy's play on !!
A lot has been said about these 4 guys---their achievements, excellence in their craft, there's them-and-everyone-else with their instruments, etc. And they've certainly earned it. But these guys are explorers. Successful explorers. They find continents and other worlds every time. Oh, and I'd hate to be a cymbal, string, key, or pick in these guys' hands. You get no rest and the shit beat out of ya. :) Sweet misery, for sure. Bravo LTE.
i just noticed that. i was hearing kinda oblivious doing other things and then it strucken me... "this sounds like Count of Tuscany". I checked it was released that same year. Awesome

Caught this tour when they stopped in Chicago. I found out about the show day of, called in sick to work and drove 8 hours by my self from Minneapolis to get there right as the first song (Universal fuckin Mind) started. It sounded odd and the guys were kind of looking confused at eachother -- it turns out Jordans keyboard was somehow a few cents out of tune. Jordan ended up using his razor and grabbed a guitar for a few songs (mostly improv) I was a little bummed to not hear the discography live, but this was still an incredibly amazing and unique experience. Here in October 2024! Never gets old. Absolutely spectacular musicianship and live performance!
Absolute monsters, legends, veterans, idk what to call them. Glad this was recorded.
thank you algorythm for recoomending this to me several times. at first i was hesistant to click, but when i clicked i never went back.

Port always looks like he's having so much fun playing drums. It's infectious. Love him.
I’d look like so even i can only play highway to hell at drums, if petrucci played it
as a drummer, i really enjoy watch him
Who wouldn't have fun playing with the sharpest musicians of our time

And I think they played two shows that night...

Rudess(Jordan) is a Roland endorsee, Levin was one of the first Chapman Stick vituosos who has played with everybody ,almost
These guys have made their way into some great combos over the years. Check out Transatlantic, Flying Colors, and OSI for starters
They're not all in each combo, just great bands to check out if you haven't heard them.
Sir; that bass you are unfamiliar with is called The Chapman Stick. Ya need to go find instruction on it; absolutely fucking awesome...
still impressive to watch in 2019!!!
Forever.
This music never gets old. I’ve been listening since 2010.
It could never not be impressive
LTE is Timeless
Or 2022...
Why is this new to me? Quite frankly one of the most awesome gigs I have ever watched. If they ever do this again, I am there. No matter where it is!!
Same. Had not heard of them until this year :)
they put out a new album last year, so keep your hopes up!
WHEN THE WATER BREAKS OH MY GAAAAAWD IT'S SO GOOD STILL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I CAN'T TAKE IT OOOOOOOOH YASSSSSSSSSS!

With that bass player?
this is a gift from universe for us on this planet !!!
Did Petrucci and Portnoy ever settle their differences after Portnoy quit/was fired from Dream Theater?
They have remained friends but I doubt you will ever see Portnoy behind the kit in DT anymore. Unless Mangini decided to leave of his own accord.
Could not agree more, the more I listen to more geniality I find.... modern masterpiece!!!!

I have poured a part of myself into every tone of this masterpiece. One chord, one heartfelt emotion, from the deepest laugh to the saddest cry."
Tony just shows he can play anything - mind you if you can play with FRIPP and Gabriel you can probably play anything.
I am quite shocked that their are only 143k views on this over 7 years! Knowing that I account for hundreds of those I'm in shock that this hasn't reached the millions yet.
That's no surprise. They're better known as live performers so most of their music doesn't get much audience. Hell, there's only two of them now IIRC.
I'm doing my part... I listen every day, I'm hooked! =)
Though 143k is a lot of people
143k in 7 years,
242k in 8 years.

I had to rip the audio so I could have a hard copy for the iPod....cut all up into the separate songs.....very nice.
This experiment is so awesome that even Rob Halford plays the bass for them.
