      Hey, friend! Thank you kindly so much. Always remember, that whether you do or don’t have experience with any type of artwork, it’s never too late and nothing should discourage you. As a matter of fact, not having any experience is going to be one of the best parts because you enjoy that fresh thrill of getting into something new and exciting. So keep dabbing, and remember to always make sure it’s fun for you. Thanks again! 👍

    I did this yesterday 9/7/21 with acrylic paint as I have too much of it and can’t afford to switch to oils. This is my second attempt on the evergreens and I appreciate the way you break down Bob Ross techniques. I now watch Bob for fun and you to learn and follow along.

    • @Kennysgreasypaint
      @Kennysgreasypaint  2 роки тому +6

      Hey that’s great! I would love to see how it turned out tbh. But even with acrylics, as long as people are putting paint to that canvas and it’s fun, then that’s what it’s all about. Glad to hear it 👍

    • @jeannetteamos1718

      I love your painting ❤ it's easy to follow. Ty I heard that Bob got cancer FROM THE THINNER. Is there odorless thinner? What method do you use to clean the brushes. Can you do a tutorial on your lay out supplies and cleaning techniques? ❤

    • @Kennysgreasypaint
      @Kennysgreasypaint  5 місяців тому +1

      @jeannetteamos1718 I eventually will. But it stands to reason that Bob most likely got lymphoma from the chemical paint thinner he was always around. That’s why I highly encourage those who use such a solvent to be sure they paint in an extremely well ventilated area or best scenario- outdoors. But there are multiple safer alternatives that exist today thankfully.

    It is so nice to watch a tutorial that doesn't use time lapse. One needs to study those brush movements. Thank you. Bob Ross made thousands of paintings and all of his evergreen trees have upside down branches.

      Thank you, Nik. I find it important to take my time when teaching. People seem to learn best when they don’t feel pressured and I’m glad I can deliver that without the use of time lapse like you said.

    I don't know what state you're in, but I wish you lived closer to me as I would be glad to hire you to teach me. I have been a long time viewer of Bob Ross, even when he was actually still living. And I've watched several of your videos and have really enjoyed them. You do a great job painting, but also training and teaching. I have a dickens of a time with doing my pine trees so thank you for doing a great job of showing the z technique. You could actually see it in action. And you do indeed have to do it fast, but you did a great job doing it slow because that ain't easy doing that technique slow and you nailed it! Man I appreciate your videos. You're awesome! Don't stop doing them either. I'm a newbie at this so I'm going to need a lot of your help. And these videos do indeed help me!!! Thanks again!

Aside from Bob, have you ever checked out Bill Alexander or Diane Andre? I highly recommend watching them too. Again, thank you so much but unfortunately there are times when I am slacking on content and videos simply because life is getting in the way but I promise there will always eventually be something new. It feels good to know that there are other people like you willing to put the brush to the canvas and as long as you all keep that up, I won't stop either. 👍 🍻

You showed me how with that video step by step, and up till now I was horrible! They looked like mud! Yeah I’ve been finding that the close ups really help. And tbh it’s actually difficult and tricky to do and that’s why you don’t normally see other UA-cam artists incorporate the method. So I try when I can for you all, especially if it helps. Glad too I can get a laugh or two out of folks. I appreciate your feedback and support 👍
