- BORA BORA BABY, After sailing some 12,000 nautical miles around the world we’re so happy to finally be sailing to an absolute bucket list destination for us. And wow it really lives up to the hype of what a paradise it is.
First thing in the morning we cast our lines from Raiatea towards the last French Polynesian Island we’ll visit this trip before making the 1700 nm passage to Fiji. Arriving we get a welcome party of humpback whales before entering the pass. Like always we make a little mission to try upload some videos and then the next day we take on one of Bora Bora’s highest peaks to get some of the greatest drone footage we’ll ever capture.

One of the best videos I’ve ever seen and I follow a lot of sailing families and couples, Bora-Bora is truly incredible you have my vote for the best video of that beautiful island, quite a hike!
Thank you for these beautiful images, Bora Bora is magnificent, but the most beautiful is you Isabelle, I love you!
One word sums up Bora Bora - 'Stunning!'
Traveling & Sailing don't "do it" for you anymore.....; but the realization that without either, you would not be experiencing what you are living. I believe that is called NIRVANA!!
It is what we ALL dream & hope to be a part of our lives. Even if it's only fleeting or just a fraction; it uplifts every other aspect of being alive.
How wonderful for you both! Great video!!
OH!! Also, with sailing being your home, you don't have to pay $2,000+ a night for this top of the world experience!!
And this access only feet from your "front porch", exceeds anything the paying resorters will ever truly enjoy or understand.
PRICELESS!!
With a tear in my eye, I say Thank You!, for allowing me to share in this through your posts.... from my humble living room.
Look forward to your next adventure.
Merci pour ces belles images, Bora Bora est magnifique, mais la plus belle c'est toi Isabelle, je t'aime !

Hahah love it! Thank you so much
Beautiful video. The tough climb was all worthwhile. Good job filming so much of the hike, it must have taken a huge effort to do that.
Kieran, you're too young to be a burned out traveller and sailor, keep searching for those new places and share them with Isabelle and your UA-cam family.
You made it to Bora Bora, one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world. WOW! I guess I don't need to tell you how lucky you both are. Your drown shots were fantastic. I would of liked to have seen an hour more. Stay groovy and stay safe.
Haha thank you!! Very kind of you, we really appreciate it mate. All the best to you

Happy New Year & safe travels. 👍😎👍
Bora Bora was a place I first heard of when I was a kid in a weekly show called Adventures in Paradise by James A Mitchener between 1959 and 1962 the theme song was iconic, the show was in black and white back then no colour TV`s then. Cheers guys.
It’s amazing how we can remember the first times we heard of something. We were very happy to have made it to this beautiful place
Hey guys! Great show! Bora Bora! Sweet! Happy New Year!✌️
Wow man what is that wind vain doing to the back of yalls boat. Stunning views. Safe travels.
Travel with us, wait a couple episodes, we finally remove it when we arrive to Fiji. Very happy to see it go. Looked absolutely terrible

Been watching this both on smart phone and smart tv. A truly awesome place to climb to get these drone shots. Bravo I pray your continued safety and success.
Well guys that was an incredible first vlog of 2022. Well worth the effort to see such spectacular scenery. ( even if it was easy😳😉 ) Just want to say Kieran & Isabelle, thank you for allowing us to follow your journey. It’s been a delight getting to know you each week. All the very best for 2022.🥂
Wow David, such nice words. We can’t thank you enough for coming along the adventure with us. Happy new year
This is so spectacular. I love it and especially the drone footage. I'm not sure how you're going to top this video but I can't wait for you to try. Thanks you two.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it Dale
Thanks so much 🙏 this episode is stunning again 💓
Thank you for watching!
Lovely video guys! You can always rely on a hill climb to make you feel just how fit you are (usually not that in my case!). The views make all that hard work worth it though, thanks so much for taking the drone footage for us!
Thank you so much for your comment! Appreciate it, stay safe
Super amazing. Great job on the video!
Cheers Minor! Thanks for watching
An amazing video of an amazing place. The drone view was spectacutar. I can only imagine what it is like to see it in person from the top of that peak. I have dreamed of the South Pacific for a long time. Thank you so much for allowing us to go long with you on your adventures.
Hope the new year brings you continued joy, health and happiness. All the best...
Thank you so much Steve!! Means a lot to us. Stay safe mate
My dear spot.
👍👍👍👍👍
Wow fantastic work!
Cheers
Thanks Andre 🙌🏼
Looks and sounds a lot like many of the hikes we have here in Hawai'i!! Short, steep, slippery... but AMAZING views! Great job you two!
Thanks so much Eternal Tides. We’d love to one day sail into Hawaii, unfortunately the anchorages are few and far between
I always thought it was part of fiji islands . Happy new years
Not too close to Fiji but as if not more beautiful than Fiji.
Hi guys, hope you had a great new year, i I knew Bora Bora was a spectacular island chain but not that spectacular - that hill was so worth the climb.
Thanks for all the nice words Phillip. We had to pinch ourselves while we were here
Happy new year to you both
Bora Bora is a place you will never forget, enjoying the moment is so important. The question is what's next: south to the Cook Islands, Tonga and NZ, or east to Samoa, Fiji, Solomon Islands and New Guinea?
wow is all i can say
No no no, don't end it
Awesome stuff! Do you guys do your own editing? Ita really good!
Thanks so much! We do indeed do our own editing. We’ve just recently switched to Davinci Resolve and love it
Another wonderful video. A question: as a patreon of yours, am I not yet listed or is it a typo that I am listed as "Ron G"? Just curious.
Hi Ron! Thank you for letting us know. I will check it asap. Hope everything is well with you
@@SailingMerewether I found myself. (Ha! That sound like something someone would say after a week's retreat with a Maharishi.)
So are you uploading videos in real time? I was assuming there would be a backlog, and each video would have been shot and uploaded a few weeks before it's visible on UA-cam.
Matthew the videos are probably 2 months behind real time. With so much content, and the amount of time it takes us to edit everything we do fall behind. But it’s ok because we’re currently stuck in Fiji due to cyclone season and won’t be filming/exploring that much and the videos will catch up to real time very quickly
HOW MANY CURVES ARE IN SEA-LEVEL?
