#125 This weeks episode is a it of a sad one, as we say goodbye to the place we have called home for the past eight months, Fiji. We have absolutely loved our time here, and it's safe to say; we are definitely coming back! But before we sail to our next destination we go for one last surf and snorkel session at our favourite spot. What's next you might ask?, we will tell you everything as we get a bit serious and talk to you about our future plans, for Merewether and ourselves.
Our patrons are the ones that make this all possible and without them, we would not be where we are today. When you sign up you not only get access to all our videos weeks before the public you also have a direct line to us and we try and get to know all our patrons. Well before thanks to you guys, I just introduced myself my name is Marcelo from Argentina, I just got a Bavaria 39 last year and I am sailing around the Caribbean now. The name of my boat is Blackfish.
But I just want say thanks because you was a very big inspiration on my decision to buy a boat and sail around the world. I am solo sailor. Hope doesn’t matter what decision you choose you keep going well. Thank you so much.

Whatever decision you make I want you to know that my heart and spirit are with you both. I completely understand. You did what many people would love to do while they are young. You have entertained many people with your incredible adventures. I think you can rest easy that you did a great job. So sorry about the fire…terrible. Having a job after years on your own will take some adjustments for sure. Sometimes Life happens and you have to pivot to a new plan. I believe most of us watch the channel to be with both of you - not just to see you sailing. You two are the best! And we checking my crystal 🔮 ball, I did leave a comment when you guys were leaving Tahiti that you would really like Fiji and love the Fijian Bula Way - especially the Lau Islands. And I know you both will lots of inner and outer Joy wherever You Are 🎶🌠
And it's quite possible after you get enough land time...you could rent a sailboat in Tonga or the like for a few weeks and take us all along 🦜

Sorry about the fire mate , guess you got it sorted . Weather here lately has been a complete wet and flooding event , heaps of large timber washing up on 9 mile beach ,and I mean log size and some complete trees . so approach with care .

There is another sailing channel I watch called "see the little things" and they paused their UA-cam stuff to have a baby, and when they came back they were saying that they had a massive drop in income. I think the UA-cam algorithm doesn't like people who have a life away from UA-cam.
I'll look forward to whatever videos you post as you head home to Australia. You have one of the best UA-cam channels out there and I've enjoyed following your adventures. Whatever your decisions, they have to right for you. I think you're doing the right thing - get some money in the kitty then decide what you want to do. i've enjoyed your videos for two or three years now and it would be a shame if they are to end, but you have to live your lives as YOU see fit. Take some time but remember there is no real normal life, in my opinion I think you guys have a real life, an envious life one that is spectacular in so many ways and has just as many draw backs and drama filled moments, but life is what you put into it and how you react to it. I am sorry to hear this is "the end", for now, but obviously it is nothing of the sort at the same time. You're just beginning a new chapter and where that will lead you only time will tell. Your story echoes my own a little in that I, too, ended up in Fiji sailing my trimaran, and liked it so much that I found a job and stayed for two years. In fact I sold the tri in Suva and eventually spent two years in New Zealand before returning to Australia (you mentioned Bundaberg, which is where I ended up for a while before once again leaving Australia for far-flung places like Brunei, Singapore, Jakarta, Manila etc and eventually some nine years in Europe. Which just goes to show, even if you now look like hauling down your sails for the foreseeable future, there's absolutely no knowing where life will take you!

AIS shows you in Oz. So that is good. You are still together and seem likely to stay that way so that is good. Makes me think of Finding Avalon. I really appreciate you doing an explainer. I, along with most of your followers I reckon will just leave the subscription open in case you choose to give an update about your new lives. Keep in mind that if going down to the sea becomes a goal, a kitty may be easily made the least of your concerns. Fair winds.
