Some other special things to note: The Original Color Magearna gift requires a complete National Dex up to Eternatus in Home. If the Pokemon listed in this video are not implemented into Switch games before Bank shuts down, you won't be able to complete these requirements. (Mythical distributions make this one a pain to get either way, but still worth mentioning.) (Thank you @mds_main) Celebi and Deoxys can also be obtained through the DNS Exploit for Gen 4 games, though these games are very finicky to get working with this. (Thank you @mds_main) Deoxys/The Aurora Ticket can also be obtained in RSE through hacks/glitches, not just FRLG. (If you're interested check out Arbitrary Code Execution videos for Emerald, pretty cool stuff) (Thank you @camlt3 and @Ivegotfrostbyte) Deoxys can also change form in Scarlet & Violet with the Meteorite item won at Marinada auctions. Hoopa Unbound is also occasionally featured in Pokemon Go through EX Raids. Only Hoopa Confined can be transferred to Home through Go, so you will need to change it's form in game first. Scarlet and Violet also have items that can change Hoopa's form back and forth though at the Marinada Auction. (Thank you @Lucideirune1635) Alolan Rattata/Raticate are locked to the Let's Go games on the Switch. Since I highlighted ways around needing these games for moves, it's worth mentioning this is the only Pokemon line that this logic would also apply to. They can be caught in any Alola game, as well as Pokemon Go. (Thank you @Croma3375 and @skarloeyisyoung) You can buy heart scales in Alola through ordering food at some restaurants, the one in Malie City gives out the most per dish. This should actually make getting moves crazy fast (Thank you @Slimesonian) The mainline game lock applied to Mythicals from Go only affects the Home account it was initially transferred to. Trading to a second Home can be used to circumvent this. (Thank You @deadmeme739) You may also want to keep in mind other special Pokemon in general that could be obtained in previous games like the ORAS Demo gift Pokemon, or N's Pokemon in B2/W2. (Thank you @mds_main)
I'd like to add some details about the video that you didn't already mention here. But first let me thank you again for the work put into these videos, it's awesome to have an update already. And I wasn't aware that Mat Block is Bank exclusive, so thank you and to roboninjasaur for pointing it out. As others already wrote down here, only Confined Hoopa can be sent from GO to HOME and the possibility to change its form was given only to players that finished a timed special research. This means that the only method to potentially obtain Hoopa in GO now, Elite Raids, lets you catch a form that can't be sent to HOME if you didn't completed that timed research. By the way, the key item that enables form change for Hoopa in the main games is called Prison Bottle. The event item Aurora Ticket had also been distributed for Emerald except Japanese versions, but it isn't present at all in Ruby and Sapphire's code, so a wild Deoxys can't be encountered in the first two GBA titles. Should also be noted that in gen III the Old Sea Map had only been given out to Japanese copies of Emerald. It is possible to reach Faraway Island through ACE in other languages and until now Bank and HOME don't recognize non-Japanese Mew as illegal, but we can never know. You forgot to mention that Jirachi can be found shiny even from the Channel PAL distribution, which differently to the one from Colosseum Bonus Disc can have a lot more possible shiny PIDs (personality values) versus the 5 or down there of the Whishmaker one. The odds are near the same by the way, it's a matter of other values. An useful tip by the way is that Jirachi can be resetted in a few seconds by exploiting the "Second Backup Save Method", I suggest to search for that. Manaphy Egg can also be obtained through DNS exploit by downloading on the Ranger Net and completing the special mission dedicated to it in both Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia or Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. In these cases the egg isn't one per cartridge, but a least one per save file. Darkrai, shiny or not, can be transferred from Pokémon Diamond to Bank and HOME, but only if has reached level 50 before transferring from gen IV to gen V to overwrite its met level to the lowest possible for any event Darkrai. It should also forget Pursuit befor transferring, but that's can be done in the Unova titles. Even Arceus from Diamond can be transferred to Bank and HOME it it reaches level 100 before the jump to gen V, but it can't be shiny in any case since it has never been available before a gen VI Japanese-exclusive event. Anyway it can be found shiny in BDSP having obtained the Azure Flute after having got a shininess-locked Arceus near the end of PLA as many mentioned in the comments. There are also some HOME Challenges that are now hidden, like the two that ask you to transfer from generation V an Eevee and a Litwick, respectively. Serebii and Bulbapedia list them too, for anyone who is interested.
@ Not necessarily, you can circumvent the block to GO-origined legends and mythicals by touch trading the Pokémon to another HOME account, from where you'll be able to deposit them into mainline games, Scarlet and Violet in Hoopa's case. In case of legendaries you also could trade for them on the GTS to obtain the same legendary from another game or GO account, send it to the games you want and then your GO legend will be able to follow it.
Not about the Pokemon themselves, but the eShop information at 1:16 is incorrect (both the FAQ shown on screen and the online service shutdown FAQ mention this as well if you go to the page and scroll down) - The eShop didn't "shut down" per se; new purchases were disabled, but the eShop as a whole can still be accessed, including redownloads linked to your account. This means you don't need Bank or Transporter installed CURRENTLY to access them, you just need to have had them at some point in the past. They can also be updated to the most recent version afterwards.
I mean the ESHOP is shut down, shutting down bank was inevitable and honestly it’s not the worst thing they could do… of all the bad decisions gamefreak has made this is like… bottom 100
@@Lh0000completely cutting off access to every Pokémon prior to gen 8 is absolutely insane and it would be way worse than dexit. I don’t understand why people keep saying it’s inevitable. Everyone who pays for Pokémon home is paying to keep their servers running. It’s the same service.
@@MegaMetal96 what point is there keeping resources on something people literally can’t get anymore? Closing service to depreciated systems is totally normal and to be expected.
6:12 You should have added that some Furfrou forms are exclusive to certain regions in Pokémon Go. There is also a form that is exclusive to Valentines Day EDIT: Just going to add what forms are regional and where they are: Normal, Matron and Dandy is worldwide Debutante is both Americas Diamond is Europe, Middle East and Africa Star is Asia-Pacific La Reine is France Pharoah is Egypt Kabuki is Japan Heart is Valentines Day EDIT 2: Pokémon day has announced a new game that takes place in Kalos. Furfrou being on the switch is now a non issue. We do not know yet if the form stays when transferred into home.
They very likely will release them during some events. Maybe do a classic regiona swap as well. We have so many years ahead and Fashion Week event is a staple at this point.
Arceus can be legitimately shiny hunted for in BDSP with the Azure Flute event, which can be gotten if you have Legends: Arceus save data on your switch that has obtained Arceus
@@HeroponSuperT I think what they are meaning is the Legends Arceus you need to catch all the mons there and complete their dex as well that is excluding the mythical mons. But yeah very vague of them saying that it have to be 100% completed.
I just can't wait until they do actually release furfrou and all its trims in a switch game because it will absolutely nuke the home trading community who seems to so weirdly rely on the the pharoah trim.
@jfdgbfjlttkntg its only available in pokemon go (for home) in Egypt. You can only catch it to transfer to home by being physically in Egypt of all places (not including spoofing your location obvs) so there aren't many players with access to it legitimately.
I found it's more fun to break Home by trading Walking Wakes. If you have access to a giveaway bot, you can just get an infinite number of Walking Wakes and demand whatever you want.
i really hope they drop a update to Pokemon bank to make it an offline app like Pokemon box or something. Then transfers from gen 3 to gen 7 would be possible. Additionally they could make it so Pokemon bank can connect to home through wifi without the need of a external server to make transfers to gen 8+ possible.
If anyone's looking to get the Gen 6 event moves, in ORAS you can use the Secret Base function to import a Secret Base with a Pokemon that has one of the event moves, then you can Sketch it with Smeargle and transfer it up.
Deoxys can be transferred into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet as well, so you can also change Deoxys' form that way after getting the Meteorite from the special auction!
17:05 Just to let everyone know you can bypass this restriction by trading the PoGo mythic to another Home account then transferring the mythical from the second home account to the switch game of your choice. Works for all legendaries and mythicals as long as the game you intend to transfer the pokemon to is available in that game
You took up a massive challenge with these videos with all the tiny details, hope you can feel happy about the result despite the numerous unavoidable misses that would naturally happen with such a project
It's so lazy and irresponsible of Gamefreak to make fans go through so many convoluted hoops to get the pokemon and moves they want into a game. Assuming they even graced us with the effort of coding them into the game. Two DLCs later, and Cubone is still not in SV.
It's definitely worth mentioning that some online services for some people have stopped working ahead of schedule, so it's possible Pokémon stuff will do the same.
they actually fixed that issue with the 3ds online servers, and then extended the global server closure time (by like a day, i think) to make up for the mistake. so if that does end up happening for pokemon bank, i'm sure they'll end up apologizing for it in a similar manner so we shouldn't have to worry about that too much.
9:18 this ticket also exists in emerald as well where ACE is very easily available, so you can use that to tell the game to set the needed flags for the mystery gift man to give you the ticket 11:30 shiny jirachi can also be obtained via the PAL version of pokemon channel
Since games in the same gen are no longer compatible with eachother, theres really no excuse to have all pokemon available between 3+ different games and it should be a priority. At the VERY least all available within one console, or 2 generations.
Personally I wanna note here: 7:00 Alolan Rattata and Alolan Raticate are currently locked to Let's Go and are the only reigonal forms you currently can't get anywhere else on Switch, so while you can get all the other Alolan Forms in games such as SW/SH or S/V via various means and hence use them in said games (ie. using an Alolan Marowak in Sword), the Alolan Rattata Line is basically locked behind Let's Go and like Furfrou or Watchog, can't be transferred into any of the other mainline Switch games and hence any Alolan Rattata or Raticate transferred from Bank can't be transferred into Let's Go. To give examples on the other Alolan Forms availability: The Alolan Sandshrew, Vulpix, Diglett, Meowth, Geodude and Grimer lines are fully breedable, evolvable and catchable in Scarlet and Violet while Alolan Exeggutor is catchable within the Indigo Disk, you can't evolve Alolan Forms out of Alola sadly meaning Alolan Raichu and Marowak are only available via the Diglett man in the Sword and Shield DLC or prior games with Bank. Meaning the Pokemon who have to stay in HOME and can't enter any Switch games are: Alolan Rattata and Alolan Raticate Spinda Patrat and Watchog Pansage and Simisage Pansear and Simisear Panpour and Simipour Furfrou Meanwhile these Pokemon can enter Switch Games despite being uncatchable on Switch: Celebi (SWSH and BDSP) Deoxys (BDSP and SV) Victini (SWSH) Genesect (SWSH) Pokeball Pattern Vivillon (SV) Diance (SWSH and SV) Hoopa (SV) Volcanion (SWSH and SV) Battle Bond Greninja (SV) Partner Cap Pikachu (SWSH and SV) Magearna (SWSH and SV) Marshadow (SWSH) Zeraora (SWSH)
Yeah they really should have put Alolan Rattata and Raticate in the Indigo Disk at least (alongside Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak). I also think they should have had a static non-shiny-locked teraraid encounter for Pokeball Pattern Vivillon in the base game and for Battle Bond Greninja in the Indigo Disk (like they did with Own Tempo Rockruff).
It's either because fans don't like them (surprised sunkern got in when it's equally hated) or they aren't competitive enough (still wondering how sunkern got in)
Yeah, and it really is a shame. :( Was hoping they'd be in there, personally. Plus it would have been better to see Pokemon that were not in any Switch games so far rather than Pokemon you can already find in Paldea.
Just want to note that you CAN put a pokemon from GO into a mainline game, but it has to be traded. Friend and I caught deoxys in GO, put it in home, traded them, and then they were able to be put in BDSP
Thank you for the video! Very insightful. Unfortunately, also a grim reminder of how Pokebank shutting down will permanently mess up several aspects of gameplay. Back when they first released Bank I already dreaded it, the idea that suddenly you had to pay to transfer your Pokemon, which, up until then, had always been a free part included with every game. I faced a lot of mockery from people back in the day, because "it barely costs anything anyway!" But still, even if it was just 5€, that is a lot of money to spend for a service that realistically I use for the entire 2 minutes each time a new gen was released, to get my older 'mons into the new games. I didn't need the "bank" itself, after all. And now, after all these years, on top of that frustration, the way they went about this means the transfers will become permanently unavailable due to them shutting down the online services. Had they stuck to the transfer systems as they were from gen 3 to 4 and such, this would not have been an issue. But here we are.
"free" is not the word i would use between gens 4 and 5, 5.1. (you needed at least 2 DS family consoles to transfer from 4 to 5.) but pokemon bank should have been a local application, and so should pokemon home. i'm not going to call it anything more than bad foresight, but even then, the bad foresight gave them a way to nickle it later. call it dumb luck more than a business strategy.
to be fair, even if they had wed still be at a crossroads now, as the switch does not use the same cartages used in either the ds or 3ds. if anything it may actually be worse as there would have not been any foresight to store mons digitally on a server to be transferred. we could have legitimately had a gen 3 situation again, worse than dexit ever was.
I miss when you could still just transfer pokemon from one game to another. It not only mean't that you could carry your team over from generation to generation but if the online servers go down or get turned off; you could still use the function. On pokemon X and Y I decided to do what I wanted since I started pokemon yellow as a kid "Catch Em All!" and despite not doing it, I was able to transfer to sun and moon to continue it. I got every single pokemon in my box besides 2 (Genesect and Volcarona). That's right, all were either traded with GTS, gained from events or caught from past games (I even had some pokemon from firered and sapphire to give you an idea). The fact I have to move them to pokemon bank and now home worries and scares me. I even removed them all from bank to store on sun and moon in fear they'd close the server and I'd lose them all. About 2 years later? Yeah it happened and I'm scared Home will do the same one day.
Nintendo could just save all the Bank mons on the Home server and redirect the webcall that the 3DS makes to the bank server to the home server and or gives a message to get people to transfer their mons official, so that they're linked to your Nintendo account. Literally costs nothing to just host whatever url that is. There is no extra cost involved in doing that. Even if the severs are shut down, the mons are still there, because they're where they gonna end up anyways.
6:08 Furfrou can actually be caught earliest in Hau'oli City in USUM with a 25% spawn rate, just fyi. Also, shiny Mew is obtainable in any english Emerald with the help of Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE) to get the Old Sea Map. From there you can soft reset or RNG it. 19:20, while not being able to "officially" transfer stuff between 5/6/7 without bank, there is the option again to CFW your 3DS and get the PKSM app that has it's own storage capabilities and allows transfer between the games. Anyway, I appreciate the work you've done and all the info!
@@RealHero3000 yeah I've noticed that all the data is still there when you transfer something from, say Crystal, to gen 6. They will have their hidden abilities when doing so.
19:49 Apriballs are available in the Indigo Disk DLC via the upgraded 3D Printer in the League Club room. Once it's upgraded to the Ultraball model shell, the 3D Printer unlocks a chance to trigger the Pokeball Lotto, which has Apriballs in its drop table as well as Masterball. Once the 3d Printer is upgraded to the Masterball model shell, the lotto has the chance to drop multiples of items.
Don't forget every pokemon ranger game has a manaphy egg, this includes pokemon ranger (the one that has one egg per game) pokemon ranger shadows of almia (obteinable via event, multiple eggs) pokemon ranger guardian signs (same as shadows of almia)
17:10 if you transfer a pokemon from Go to home and switch accounts in the app, then place the pokemon from Go in a other account, save and close, and then take it out, you will be able to transfer the mythical into any game. Thats how I got my techno blast genesect form Go
Alternatively, you can just trade for the same Pokémon in the GTS. I did this with all my PoGo legendaries, all you have to do for example: 1. List Giratina for a Giratina in the GTS 2. Claim and check for legitimacy 3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 if not legitimate
6:30 Diancie was released in pokemon go during the Go fest event as you mentioned and if they follow their pattern should be released to everyone by the end of spring/beginning of summer this year as that's what they do with every mythical release and hoopa unbound is occasionally released in elite raids.
Don't forget - Hoopa Unbound *cannot* be transferred to Home. The only window Niantic gave to unlock the ability to change Hoopa's form is well over now (the Hoopa-themed season research needed to be completed before the end of said season), and it seems unlikely players will be given another chance to unlock that functionality. You'll have to transfer the one Hoopa you get from special research, and that's it [to clarify: I'm assuming it's not an option for new players to change Hoopa from its unbound form to its transferable counterpart, but I can't exactly confirm this myself]. (Not to mention, legendaries/mythicals that originate from PoGo are unable to be transferred to any games where the save doesn't already have that species registered. This renders all of these Pokémon useless, or at the very least mere shadows of the legendaries/mythicals obtained via other official means).
@@iMind-JurisYou can always just transfer some from GTS and then get the legal copy from GO. Mind you we definitely gonna get more of the mythicals put into standard Special Research, not just the seasonal/Go Fest ones. It's always like that. They may not give us more copies of it, but when actual normally unlockable SR comes - its really a matter of making new account. Not like it's any good method either way. GTS with risk of clones, waiting for the final update of the DLC (and potential DLC2/Raid updates), BW sequel/remake and any other potential future games are way better options to look for at this point.
@@mjm3091 Yeah, using [a] shady Pokémon to unlock PoGo Pokémon transfer to games is certainly an option, but as you're saying it's certainly not ideal. Personally I'm not counting Go as a reliable source of legendaries/mythicals once Bank shuts down
If you have a bunch of mythicals sitting in go, you can hack them in to register them, then transfer the PoGO ones to your file and release the hacked mythicals
Thank you for including Go specific exceptions. This video will make me think twice before just transfering a random monkey or Patrat "to the professor" when i could save it to give to someone who needs it via GTS or wonder trade in Home.
It is SO disappointing that Spinda's code got messed up in BDSP, and just outright ignored in GO. I've recently grown very fond of Spinda, and was hoping to shiny hunt it in a more modern game. At least X has Horde encounters, though no luck so far on the shiny. Furfrou not being on Switch yet is also REALLY sad, and the absolute NIGHTMARE of getting every trim through GO is just downright terrible. Like, needing to grind up hundreds of candy and travel to several different countries AND wait for a one week event in February to get all the trims? Who the hell decided that was a good idea? Here's hoping that Gen 10 or whatever else is next gives us both Furfrou and form-change trims instead of how the garbage system works now. Also giving a mention to shiny hunting Arceus in BDSP after catching Arceus in Legends.
@@yeayea5851 Yep! If you beat Legends (catching Arceus), BDSP will read that completion data and give you access to the Azure Flute. Arceus in Legends is shiny locked, but ISN'T in BDSP, so you can soft reset for it, or do RNG manipulation to make things quicker.
I think I still have a shiny Spinda on my Emerald cartridge. If I can clone it (and after doing all the transfers), I transfer it to you through Pokémon Home.
6:10 Slight correction: The earliest Furfrou can be found is in Hau'oli City with the shopping district having a 15% encounter rate while the grass near the city hall has a 25% encounter rate.
@@vintifada7115 no, nothing like that, but it’s some stuff like you need the same trainer ID as mew and some other things, otherwise home will give you an error message when you try to transfer it. You can look up the specific conditions to transfer mew online though
Nice video, including the GO details is a good choice, i myself have indeed been filling out my missing spots with it. to note, Diancie was the featured Pokemon in GO Tour 2023, following their pattern, it will likely be released for free sometime this year like the other mythicals have.
Ageto Celebi can be obtained if you also own the Japanese Colosseum Bonus Disc. I have it and it can be redeemed infinitely once per Japanese the GBA games and Japanese Colosseum save files. Also Pokemon Rangers 3 had a downloadable Deoxys Mission. Once completed Deoxys can be infinitely transferred to any of the DS games once per save files.
The Birth Island area for Shiny Deoxys is also in Emerald, where it's very easy to just access the island through a glitch. You can't glitch your way to the island in FRLG, without trading over glitched Pokemon from Emerald in the first place. The Manaphy Egg can also be obtained in Ranger 2 and Ranger 3, but will require the DNS exploit in these games - only Ranger 1 can obtain the egg offline. Pokemon Home also doesn't let you move Legendary or Mythical Pokemon from GO into a main-series game, unless you've already obtained that Legendary or Mythical in the main series and moved it into the receiving save file. So GO isn't a viable way to obtain Celebi, Deoxys, Victini, Genesect, Diancie, or Hoopa.
This is a very well-made video that I’m sure will help a ton of people who want to finish the dex. I used to think that the Gens 3 and 4 dexes would always be the hardest to complete - mainly because of the gap with the first two gens and limited distribution of events. Looks like modern players have a lot of hoops to jump through, though! I’m glad I stopped playing before they announced Bank. Having to pay a subscription to transfer between generations is nuts imo
Great video! Just a quick note though that while you can transfer battle bond greninja to Sun and moon, you must have made it to ula’ula island to receive it from the delivery man in the Pokémon center.
It's nice to see an update on this. Good job! I actually wouldn't mind to see a new video like this every time a new mainline game drops. I would like to add some things to what you have already discussed though: - Original Color Magearna, while obtainable on the Switch via Home itself, is a reward to you for depositing one of each species of pokemon from Bulbasaur to Eternatus, which means you still need Bank to trasfer some of them to get Original Color Magearna. - GO is a necessity for Meltan, Melmetal and Roaming Form Gimmighoul. It is also needed for the Vivillon postcards in ScVi, which grant access to the geographic Vivillon forms that would otherwise be only available via Bank with a long and tedious process. - You can get Alolan Rattata and Alolan Raticate via Bank, the Let's Gos or GO, but then you wouldn't be able to move them inside any Switch game (with the exception of Let's Gos pokemons that have not being moved elsewhere being able to come back inside). - If you plan on bringing Hoopa Unbound from Bank to Home, keep in mind that you can only put that form in Bank through USUM, as ORAS and SM will revert the form back when deposited into Bank. Fortunately, you can currently change the form at any time in ScVi and deposit it into Home from there. - While the Nincada line is available in SwSh and GO, it's worth pointing out that, just like Spinda, poor programming is keeping them from entering/exiting BDSP. - You should be able to get both Celebi and Deoxys via the DNS exploit in generation 4. You already mentioned it for generation 5 after all. - The generation 3 Deoxys event was also available for RSE, not just FRLG. - If you consider the coin case glitch or the void glitch valid, then I say Emerald glitzer popping/pomeg glitch should also be considered valid, as it allows to get those old past events or other special mons in a way that, if done correctly, should pass the Bank and Home checks. - You correctly pointed out how without Pokemon Bank it will be impossible to get all pokemon and forms in generation 7, but it is also needed to register all generation 6 pokemon and forms. Even without considering pokemons and forms that were only given out as events in generation 6 (like Mew or Pokeball Pattern Vivillon), there would still be a problem because of Deerling and Sawsbuck, as generation 6 doesn't have the seasons mechanic, so they won't change form whatsoever, and you can only catch them both in their Spring form in XY or ORAS. This means that, without Bank, you cannot obtain Summer, Autumn and Winter Deerling and Sawsbuck unless you already have those forms and you breed them (as breeding keeps the season). Of course, the same thing applies for other smaller things like ribbons, moves, abilities, certificates and so on and so forth. - Despite not being needed for any special challenge or anything, without Bank some "special" pokemons will not be accessible anymore, like the Glalie and Steelix you could get from the ORAS demo or N's pokemons from B2W2. - Some Switch native pokemons and forms (alongside their special moves and abilities) also do not currently possess a reliable consistent way to get them, like Zarude. At the same time, some Switch pokemons and forms can only be obtained in certain Switch games but not others, like the Gigantamax factor mons only in SwSh (and their DLCs) or Wyrdeer that is stuck in Legends Arceus despite it technically being in ScVi.
Hoopa Unbound can also be deposited in Sun and Moon without reverting it to its Confined form, not just in USUM. Nincada's case: some anti-duplication measures prevent it to move from Galar to Sinnoh and from Sinnoh to Galar, but any gen VIII Nincada can be deposited in HOME, unlike Spinda. Lastly, Deoxys was also available in Emerald (except for the Japanese version of Emerald), but that event doesn't exist in Ruby and Sapphire. Please consider to edit your comment to leave only reliable informations in this comment section, thank you. Also, "Pokémons" is incorrect and a pain to read, please reconsider.
@@croma3375 I'm sorry, but maybe before responding to another person's comment, saying things like "leave only reliable informations" in a condescending tone, you should actually read the comment you are responding to and fact check yourself first. Hoopa Unbound will revert back to its base form when deposited to Bank unless it is specifically from USUM. About Nincada, I specifically talked about BDSP, I said nothing of Nincanda coming from SwSh or Bank. I will say that, yes, the Aurora Ticket was not distributed in Ruby and Sapphire, but it was distributed in Emerald and Deoxys got a standard distribution in Ruby and Sapphire too. I am just too used to call the generation 3 Hoenn games "RSE" that I instinctively put that acronym in that point instead of just "Emerald". Still less "misinformation" than your "correction", but I digress.
@@croma3375 No hard feelings from me either, but your first reply did come off as a bit condescending. On the topics at hand: If you read my comments I said that if you deposit Hoopa Unbound inside POKEMON BANK it will revert back to the Confined form unless it is from USUM. You can boot your game up right now and test it out for yourself if you don't believe me. On the Nincada situation, what I wrote is true, because poor programming is keeping them from freely being transfered over. I may have worded my point better, I'll give you that, but we are saying the same thing and, also, yes, that is poor programming, and I am not just saying it because I am a software engineer myself, but because they already had a good method to handle that specific situation in all previous games but they then screwed it up in BDSP (like Spida but in a smaller scale). I know this means little to a Home living dex, but if you look at the video and at my comment, we are also adding informations about limit situations like this one. Lastly but not least, I know that Emerald is quite different from Ruby and Sapphire, I still have my old cartridges with me and I have looked into their assembly code before. Their difference however doesn't matter in this conversation, as we are talking about another point and because I already explained myself in my previous comments. All in all, let's close this by saying that I should have worded better the Nincada point and that I erroneously wrote "RSE" instead of "Emerald" in the Aurora Ticket point.
@@mds_main Ok fair, my bad for the tone sorry... About Hoopa Unbound though, as a proof of being able to deposit it in Bank from Sun & Moon without it reverting to Confined, I found a discussion of early 2017 (before USUM were even announced). It's called "So apparently Furfrou, Shaymin-Sky, and Hoopa-U can be boxed now" if you want to consult it. At the bottom of page 4 there's a picture of Pokémon Bank boxes that includes an Unbound Hoopa, clearly deposited from Sun or Moon. Note: tried to reply yesterday, even by editing the previous comment, but today I figured that UA-cam didn't like that I wrote the plural of that one synonim of filament that's also the name of a new social network. That's why my previous comment is missing rip.
FYI, Arceus can also transfer up from gen 4 void glitch if caught in diamond, leveled to 100 and without the move judgement before transfering to gen 5. Shaymin can transfer if fateful flag is set through ASE/ACE. Also, all gen 1-4 pokemon can be obtained through ASE/ACE in DP. (Also thanks for the shoutout, did not expect to find myself in this video 😅)

After a lot of hard work, I've managed to cram every single move (other than Hyper Fang) onto 30 Sword/Shield compatible Pokemon. Accomplishing this involves getting three egg moves onto Machop. The full list is: Machop: Karate Chop, Rolling Kick(Egg Move with Hitmonlee), Meditate(Egg Move with Hypno), Smelling Salts(Egg Move with Makuhita) Purrloin: Pursuit, Captivate, Assist, Snatch Vespiquen: Heal Order Woobat: Heart Stamp, Odor Slueth Miltank: Wake-Up Slap, Punishment(Egg Move with Weavile) Maractus: Needle Arm Mudbray: Magnitude(Egg Move with Sandslash), Mud Sport, Rototiller Porygon: Sharpen Charizard: Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Sky Drop Shellder: Clamp Corsola: Spike Canon, Lucky Chant Cubone: Rage, Bone Club Dewpider: Water Sport, Spider Web Altaria: Mirror Move Elgyem: Embargo, Synchronise, Heal Block, Miracle Eye Exeggutor: Barrage, Egg Bomb Talonflame: Razor Wind, Natural Gift, Me First Scolipede: Steamroller, Twineedle(Egg Move from Beedrill) Throh: Mat Block Hakamo-o: Sky Uppercut, Bide Audino: Refresh, Secret Power, Double Slap, Bestow(Egg Move from Togetic) Munna: Nightmare, Telekinesis, Psywave Tentacruel: Barrier, Wring Out, Constrict Skrelp: Camouflage, Feint Attack Leafeon: Trump Card(learned as Eevee), Grass Whistle(Move Reminder after evolving) Kangaskhan: Comet Punch, Dizzy Punch, Chip Away Cutiefly: Powder(Egg Move with Vivillon, but only in USUM) Lanturn: Signal Beam, Ion Deluge, Spotlight(Move Reminder, but only in USUM) Magnemite: Magnet Bomb, Sonic Boom, Mirror Shot Lopunny: Frustration, Return, Jump Kick, Foresight God Damn Hyper Fang though. There is no Pokemon in Sword/Shield that could ever have the move, not even as an egg move.
Something that should be mentioned with pokemon go is a relatively recent thing they’ve done… they’ve started scrolling through “seasons” which change the spawn set to specific pokemon. Not every pokemon is available at any time (I’m still waiting for relicanth to come back ;-;) Not sure what the default spawn set will look like when pokemon go goes into its EndOfLife session, but hopefully that won’t come for a long time
Re: the event moves from gen 6, I would not be surprised if there are secret bases people have set up and posted the qr codes of online for the express purpose of allowing people to use smeargle to sketch event moves from said base.
Currently working on my Alola dex, and I just got Magearna by watching this video. Thank you for helping previous Pokémon gen players like myself, and I hope you continue making informative Pokémon videos like this in the future.
you can also change deoxys form is scarlet and violet with the meteorite item also there is a way to skip the Go to mainline requirements by trading it to another home account on mobile and connecting that account to a second switch profile.
Hoopa Unbound has also been available in Elite Raids in Pokemon Go. Though the last time it happened was December 10 2022, but there's always a chance it comes back again. Marshadow was recently available as a paid special research for the Go Fest Ticket (obviously too late now for those who missed it😅) Darkrai is usually available yearly in Go raids during October and can be shiny hunted this way. Shaymin was available through a paid research in Go, no longer available.
Just as a reminder, while the Partner Cap Pikachu isn't shiny locked, the reason is that it checks your trainer ID with Ash's ID, and in the unlikely case they're the same ID's your Cap Pikachu WILL be shiny locked, it's 1/4095 chance but it's something to note
You can move Pokemon from 5→6→7 with pksm in modded 3ds You can get pokebank and other stuff related to Pokemon like poke transporter, virtual console games and many more with Hshop in modded 3ds. And you can also use pksm to add signature moves that you need, you can also get events that are specific to gen 5, 6 and 7, there's like a cloud in pksm where you have access to more than 2.6 k boxes full of Pokemon, there are legal Pokemon from old generations as well as event Pokemon from generation 1 to 7, you can also check legality and add ribbons to any Pokemon you open.
I seriously doubt it. We might get a BDSP style Black/White, but not a collection. Besides, they inly did the VC versions on the 3DS initially due to their 20th anniversary of the franchise, and we’re no where near a big anniversary yet. GameFreak likes paired versions not just because they make money, but because they really encourage trading with friends. So a collection game would basically ruin their mission objective. (And likely would be a pain to connect to HOME) Same with putting the games on the Game Boy and GBA NSO apps. Not only would it be a pain to force Nintendo to program HOME compatibility, but it would still ruin the whole “trade with friends” ordeal. Not to mention the NSO apps are cloud save compatible, something GameFreak _hates_ so if the Pokemon games did make it on the NSO apps they would be guaranteed to be unable to connect to HOME. At most, GameFreak would probably release the Gens 1 & 2 games, _individually,_ as separate paid downloads, like how they were for 3DS VC, while Gens 3-7 get the shaft due to already having remakes or other games containing all the Pokemon anyway.
Thank you for talking about both creating a Living Dex in Gen 7 and Ball combos. The first thing I thought of when they announced the shut-down of Bank was Gen 7 losing access to a ton of Pokemon. I have done a lot of work to get that project done, though there are a few Mythical Pokemon I will likely miss out on without a hacked 3DS (which I don't have and don't exactly want to do). I suppose the only thing I would want to check is if I have Kantonian forms of all the Pokemon that have Alolan Forms (minus the ones that are only Alolan by evolution, as they can be easily obtained in USUM through Ultra Warp Ride). It can still be done through Poke Transfer from Gens 1-2 or from Gen 6, but yeah, those won't be available after Bank shuts down. The Poke Ball thing is also a big project, though technically less important because of Gens 8 and 9 having them available (especially Gen 9 with the Item Printer and the Auctions). Still, Apricorn Poke Balls are super easy to get in bulk in HGSS, there are a TON of Pokemon in the Johto Safari Zone (as well as about 3 in FireRed and most of the Pokemon in the Hoenn Safari Zone in Emerald [which includes the post-game Zones 5 and 6 with Johto Pokemon that aren't also found in HGSS' Safari Zone]), and the Sport Ball is only found in HGSS (at least easily). That's why I've done a lot of work getting Pokemon in HGSS in certain Poke Balls. Not all iterations of Apricorn Poke Balls, but ones that make sense to me. Thanks again for doing this research. I'll have to look into what moves I will need to transfer into HOME.
Im pretty sure you forgot to mention that once you complete the dex in pokemon home with all pokemon up to the 890th entry, you are given a special form of magearna, which is exclusively obtained via this method.
i mean, technically that means it is obtainable on the switch... just happens to *technically* not be availible on the switch if you didn't get all the bank-exclusives.
@@serenitywingss It is basically the main reason/motivation to even bother doing this. Otherwise I'd say it's best to just complete all the dexes within the individual games and keep them there. Bank and Home were never a great be-all end-all solution for collecting. They both had things they wouldn't let in and they both cost money. With all of the move removal in later games, it makes no sense to bring older gen Pokemon forward vs just easily re-catching them in the newest games. They lose all the moves they can't use in the new games and therefore become just like one caught in a new game anyway. The few missing ones will probably end up being in something on Switch 2 someday. Hopefully Switch 2 will even have the same Pokemon Home as Switch or else you'll have to start over again like the jump from 3DS to Switch.
There are actually 5 Pokémon HOME challanges that have been delisted from the challenge list now that Bank is no longer downloadable through the eshop. However, despite this, you can actually still complete these challanges, and if you do so, they’ll show up as completed and you’ll get the stickers rewarded for them. These challanges include: - Move Pokemon from bank to HOME - Register Diancie from X and Y - Register Eevee brought over using Poke Transporter - Register Litwick brought over using Poke Transporter - Register Pulverizing Snorlax (a.k.a the special Munchlax obtained as an early purchase bonus in Sun & Moon that would be holding a Snorlium Z. You’d have to evolve it into Snorlax and send it to HOME, though from what I’ve heard, you might have to have it use its Z-Move Pulverizing Pancake, which it needs to know Giga Impact in order to do so, before transferring in order for the challange to be completed. I’ve seen conflicting info online about it, so you might want to do it just in case.)
6:20 Additional note for Furfrou trims: Most of them are region locked. Americas, Asia, Europe + Africa, but also some countries: Japan, France, Egypt. The Heart Trim is also time-locked to February.
Now, this is quite random, but this is the last chance to get a legit Lv5 Machamp (Minichamp, Babychamp, Nanochamp, or how you want to call it). There's an NPC on Yellow that trades Cubone for Machoke. If you breed a Cubone on Gold/Silver/Crystal, which hatches at Lv5, then trade it back, you can obtain a Lv5 Machoke from the trade. Then, trade it again to obtain a Lv5 Machamp. There's also a couple other evolved Pokémon you can obtain at Lv5 with this method if you want to check it out.
So the strange barrier for mythical/legendaries can be broken if you have two home accounts. It ONLY locks it to the home that the pokemon was initially sent to
@@balladofthegoddess Of course they're in that forest, but in Kalos Pokémon with hidden abilities are only found in hordes or in the Friend Safari. Moreover, the Ability Patch introduced in Galar wasn't a thing in 2013.
@@balladofthegoddess You are correct. The elemental monkeys are catchable in the Santalune Forest in Pokémon XY. Unfortunately, the elemental monkeys that have their hidden ability are only catchable in the Friend Safari (in Pokémon XY) if you befriend people who have those friend safaris (add their friend code and they add your friend code. Then, make sure both of you are online by switching the Internet service through PSS)
Thanks for the update. On your last video, I commented how I had plans to shiny hunt the 2 available Type Null in Ultra Sun and Moon as well as Poipole and I wound up complaining about my then current hunt for Type Null and I actually completed it! I'm still in the process of finishing my Ultra games so it'll be a while before I can start a shiny hunt for a second set of Type Null. I also full amd well will shiny hunt Celebi and Mew once i get the chance.
You can transfer mytical from go to a game without having it. It just take a little trick. You need to create a second profile on your switch. Have the mytical on bank 1, open bank with profile 2, when selecting the game you would pick a pokemon from, change to pick a pokemon from profile 1, then the mytical will be unlock on profile 2. Make the reverse path and it will be unlocked in profile 1.
I'm interested in putting together a "minimum level living dex", so I really need to get my ass in gear before Bank shuts down, since a lot of underleveled evolved Pokémon have their lowest obtainable levels in non-Switch games, like BW2's level 1 Gyarados. I hope Bank stays open for the foreseeable future.
Pokemon that are not in SwSh get their USUM movesets when transfered to HOME from GO so you might be agle to get some legacy moves registered in HOME that way
There had better be a nat dex in gen 10. I can accept that megas aren’t coming back, but there isn’t an excuse to not have one, when the purpose of moving to the switch was to include larger nat dexes to begin with.
Moreover, they lost their excuse of "better animations" when they clearly lied about it. Storage isn't a problem either, and they have 99% of the pokemon's models updated, so that can't be used as an excluse either.
2D Pokémon games would allow a lot of memory space to be able to have plenty of fun features and mechanics, including the National PokéDex. Of course, TPCi had to listen to the critics instead of the fans and video game players. I can take graphics that are like Kirby of the Stars Wii Deluxe, or Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.
I've recently started a little collection of Spinda in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, since each one looks unique and they're very cute. They give off a sort of drunk party vibe lol. It's really too bad they can't make the leap to Pokemon Violet - even forcibly re-rolling their spot patterns would have been better than not being able to transfer them at all. I wish other Pokemon could have more little aesthetic variations like this - even just simple overall hue variations like in Pokemon Stadium. Then I'd try to get my hands on a cool red-tinted Ninetales. The individual size variations are certainly a good start, though. Maybe I'll collect giant Pokemon next!
You know what I can’t believe? Machamp and Alakazam aren’t in Indigo disk. But thank God we have put Plusle, Minun, Volbeat, Illumise, Comfey, Lumineon, Carbink, and Luvdisk are available to catch.
I actually like carbink, minun and plusle. But I'm surprised that the others made it through and the elemental monkeys didn't even though they are unovan pokemon. I know some said that they wouldn't fit the locations but I could see panpour/simipour in the coastal biome. The dex entry talks about how pansear lives in caves so there's it's location. Pansage however I'm blanking on. Maybe either coastal or canyon biome.
@@Sailor-Khione they put a few of the starters in places I wouldn’t have guessed. Honestly Tepig seemed more like a savanna Pokémon and Charmander the canyon. Idek know why Torchic was in the Polar biome. Chimchar at least had associations with mountains. So putting the monkeys anywhere would have worked than not having them all. And really, ALL the Unovan pokemon should have been there. Of all the ones not available, they should’ve been givens. The Blueberry Academy is in Unova ffs. There were a plethora of repeated Dex Pokémon from Paldea and Kitakami that could’ve been cut from the BB Dex. Ex: Did we really need Polteageist there? It’s in base game and got a regional version for Teal Mask.
Interestingly enough, using the dns glitch on a Japanese copy of black or white has given me ALL the local distributions plus the Wi-Fi distributions. I’ve never been more glad to have snagged a game. also apparently Japan had like 5 different egg events that you could get multiple eggs from so it’s a bit weird to be hatching shiny dragon pokemon and then just getting a random bulbasaur 😅
That isn't just a random Bulbasaur: it has False Swipe, Block, Frenzy Plant and Weather Ball, four event-only moves for its species. It can also be hatched shiny if the egg is traded to another console like with the Manaphy Egg. In short, that Bulbasaur is much more valuable than any granted shiny dragon, if you didn't know.
4:15 I'm actually genuinely shocked Patrat line and monkeys weren't added in Indigo Disk. They feel like something that would be easily slotted around the whole Blueberry and as special Quest/trade encounter. Especially with how repetitive some of those areas can be. I guess gonna wait BW3 or something. Would be also fun to see them fill the holes with the Epilogue update or another DLC, tbh. There could be a chance for proper National Dex VGC format in Paldea, if only they decide to expand the game more. Which would slow the development times and would bring full dex like a lot of people would love them to. But it could also mean that they are gonna evolve in next games. Watchog is well designed Pokemon that could easily become next Obstagoon and monkeys notably lost the global Pokemon popularity contest, so making them viable and cool would be a really good come back from Game Freak.
To be noted, Simisear lost the popularity contest, and because GameFreak, the rest are all treated as a set. Nevertheless, I expect a BDSP style Gen 5 game to bridge the gap. They’re not going to do a Legends style game.
@@Tobunari Actually leaks imply sequel. Whole BW series was always about new ideas. Soft reset of only new Pokemon in BW. First ever sequel in the main series with BW2. The interviews they made tell us that when they originally made it, they didn't fully tell the story they wanted to and that's why BW2 was made. A sequel or paradox fusion of both games would probably make more sense, with release of BDSP style of BW. And Legends game if any, will probably be Johto. Especially as we are losing a lot of early games with closing of the 3DS.
@@mjm3091 If the leaks are talking about it being announced during a Nintendo Direct then it's false. Pokemon never announces a new game during a Nintendo Direct unless it's a spin-off, they save things for Pokemon Presents.
@@mjm3091 *I* mentioned a Nintendo Direct because it's a huge indication if the leaks are true or false. Do you get what I'm saying? If these leaks mention they're going to be in the Nintendo Direct, then they're false, because Pokémon never announces a new game during a Nintendo Direct, only in a Pokémon Presents.
I am pissed off that the most complete experience you can have in pokemon are Gen 7 games, movepool deletions, attack removals and pokemon not returning in the game completely suck
Considering GameFreak really only did VC for the 3DS due to the 20th anniversary, probably not. Even then, if they were to do any games, it would probably just be Gens 1 & 2 again. Gen 5 would likely get a BDSP style game.
There is no point where losing bank won't mean much. Losing 4 generations' connectivity can never not be a major issue. Six generations, if you include the virtual console gen 1/2 games which gained connectivity to gen 6+
1. Deoxys can also be (shiny)hunted in Emerald. Also, you can enter his island through Gen3 ACE glitch and it does not require any hacking tools at all. 2. Also, using Gen3 ACE you can also catch a (shiny) Jirachi which can be sent to Bank/HOME. 3. As you said, you can send Diamond Darkrai to Bank if you make it Lv50 in Diamond, BUT through ACE in Gen5 (credits to RETIRE), you can also make Shatmin and Deoxys legit for Bank as well and transfer them over all the way to HOME. 4. With Gen5 ACE glitch you can also obtain a legitimate Manaphy (or Manaphy Egg) , also its shiny version, and transfer it to Bank/HOME as well. Again, NO hacking required! Using ACE glitch in Gen2(3Ds versions), Gen3 and Gen4, you can send pretty much EVERY (shiny) Pokemon from the first 4 Generations all the way up to Pokemon HOME. ACE is too OP. I have done it myself and it's cool. :D
As someone protesting the current state of the games, I've no intentions of ever transferring anything from gen 7. Everything in my USUM save files will be their final resting place. I refuse to play their "game exclusivity" angle. They will not be touching my Furfrous
Birth Island Deoxys can also be caught in Emerald if you are willing to go through learning Arbitary Code Execution and the Pomeg Berry Glitch. Same could be said for Mew.
Some other special things to note:
The Original Color Magearna gift requires a complete National Dex up to Eternatus in Home. If the Pokemon listed in this video are not implemented into Switch games before Bank shuts down, you won't be able to complete these requirements. (Mythical distributions make this one a pain to get either way, but still worth mentioning.) (Thank you @mds_main)
Celebi and Deoxys can also be obtained through the DNS Exploit for Gen 4 games, though these games are very finicky to get working with this. (Thank you @mds_main)
Deoxys/The Aurora Ticket can also be obtained in RSE through hacks/glitches, not just FRLG. (If you're interested check out Arbitrary Code Execution videos for Emerald, pretty cool stuff) (Thank you @camlt3 and @Ivegotfrostbyte)
Deoxys can also change form in Scarlet & Violet with the Meteorite item won at Marinada auctions.
(Thank you @Lucideirune1635)
Alolan Rattata/Raticate are locked to the Let's Go games on the Switch. Since I highlighted ways around needing these games for moves, it's worth mentioning this is the only Pokemon line that this logic would also apply to. They can be caught in any Alola game, as well as Pokemon Go. (Thank you @Croma3375 and @skarloeyisyoung)
You can buy heart scales in Alola through ordering food at some restaurants, the one in Malie City gives out the most per dish. This should actually make getting moves crazy fast (Thank you @Slimesonian)
The mainline game lock applied to Mythicals from Go only affects the Home account it was initially transferred to. Trading to a second Home can be used to circumvent this. (Thank You @deadmeme739)
You may also want to keep in mind other special Pokemon in general that could be obtained in previous games like the ORAS Demo gift Pokemon, or N's Pokemon in B2/W2.
You're welcome for the additional infos 👍
6:11 Furfrou can be encountered in the previous area's shopping district at a 25% rate in ultra.
Shutting down bank would be one of the worst decisions they could make.
And we all know they will make that decision sooner than later

@@Lh0000completely cutting off access to every Pokémon prior to gen 8 is absolutely insane and it would be way worse than dexit. I don’t understand why people keep saying it’s inevitable. Everyone who pays for Pokémon home is paying to keep their servers running. It’s the same service.

i really hope they drop a update to Pokemon bank to make it an offline app like Pokemon box or something. Then transfers from gen 3 to gen 7 would be possible. Additionally they could make it so Pokemon bank can connect to home through wifi without the need of a external server to make transfers to gen 8+ possible.

Yep, no reason they couldn’t essentially make a Pokémon Home client for the 3DS, other than the problem of distribution…

That's Sword and Shield. I was referring to Scarlet and Violet.

Since games in the same gen are no longer compatible with eachother, theres really no excuse to have all pokemon available between 3+ different games and it should be a priority. At the VERY least all available within one console, or 2 generations.

Alolan Rattata and Alolan Raticate are currently locked to Let's Go and are the only reigonal forms you currently can't get anywhere else on Switch, so while you can get all the other Alolan Forms in games such as SW/SH or S/V via various means and hence use them in said games (ie. using an Alolan Marowak in Sword), the Alolan Rattata Line is basically locked behind Let's Go and like Furfrou or Watchog, can't be transferred into any of the other mainline Switch games and hence any Alolan Rattata or Raticate transferred from Bank can't be transferred into Let's Go.
Meaning the Pokemon who have to stay in HOME and can't enter any Switch games are:
Alolan Rattata and Alolan Raticate
Spinda
Patrat and Watchog
Pansage and Simisage
Pansear and Simisear
Panpour and Simipour
Furfrou
Meanwhile these Pokemon can enter Switch Games despite being uncatchable on Switch:
Celebi (SWSH and BDSP)
Deoxys (BDSP and SV)
Victini (SWSH)
Genesect (SWSH)
Pokeball Pattern Vivillon (SV)
Diance (SWSH and SV)
Hoopa (SV)
Volcanion (SWSH and SV)
Battle Bond Greninja (SV)
Partner Cap Pikachu (SWSH and SV)
Magearna (SWSH and SV)
Marshadow (SWSH)
Zeraora (SWSH)
You can simply bring them from GO
@@maganhassan2627 I’m saying what Pokémon can be transferred into Switch Games from Bank here is the basic rundown.
You actually can evolve exeggcute into Alolan Exeggutor by evolving in to costal biome
Kinda weird how the indigo disk didn't bring back the elemental monkeys considering the setting and the general amount of Unova-loving it does
It's either because fans don't like them (surprised sunkern got in when it's equally hated) or they aren't competitive enough (still wondering how sunkern got in)
@@Sailor-Khionei imagine its thanks to brachius and his art obssesion😂
@@Sailor-Khionesunken looks cute so it gets a pass from some lol
Yeah, and it really is a shame. :(
Was hoping they'd be in there, personally. Plus it would have been better to see Pokemon that were not in any Switch games so far rather than Pokemon you can already find in Paldea.
The elemental monkeys aren't even bad designs, I like them. No idea why there's so much hate
Just want to note that you CAN put a pokemon from GO into a mainline game, but it has to be traded. Friend and I caught deoxys in GO, put it in home, traded them, and then they were able to be put in BDSP
Do you mean, to trade it from Pokemon Home app?
Thank you for taking the time to put this together, I hope your channel grows so this can reach the whole community
Bank is how you get pokemon originating from the ds unova games and 3ds games, which is important for time travel awards in gen 5, 6 and 7 remakes
PKSM also works with gen 1/2 vc and gen 4 (and apparently gen 3 but I never got that to work)
@@RealHero3000 yeah I've noticed that all the data is still there when you transfer something from, say Crystal, to gen 6. They will have their hidden abilities when doing so.
@ThundaFuzz Yup that's how it is when using Poké Transporter to bank if I remembered correctly
Came here to confirm the first fact, as that's where I caught all my shiny furfrou for all the trims!
@@LucOfArcadia After watching this video I realized this shiny rocks! What method did you use?
19:49 Apriballs are available in the Indigo Disk DLC via the upgraded 3D Printer in the League Club room. Once it's upgraded to the Ultraball model shell, the 3D Printer unlocks a chance to trigger the Pokeball Lotto, which has Apriballs in its drop table as well as Masterball. Once the 3d Printer is upgraded to the Masterball model shell, the lotto has the chance to drop multiples of items.
Regardless, Certain combos are still impossible, But this alone covers most cases.
how do you upgrade it? I've done, like dozens of prints, but the lady STILL says I need to do more.
@dawnsbuneary you have to catch Terapagos to upgrade to Master Ball Ball
You can also get limited ones in USUM (like 2?)
17:52 you can actually just straight up buy heart scales in the Gen 7 games too. It’s one of the restaurants in Malie City :)
Its all of the restaurants actually! Which is like 3 but still
Don't forget every pokemon ranger game has a manaphy egg, this includes pokemon ranger (the one that has one egg per game) pokemon ranger shadows of almia (obteinable via event, multiple eggs) pokemon ranger guardian signs (same as shadows of almia)
I did this with all my PoGo legendaries, all you have to do for example:
1. List Giratina for a Giratina in the GTS
2. Claim and check for legitimacy
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 if not legitimate
@@TempestsFuryThe GTS doesn’t support mythicals though, so you either need a friend to swap them or a second smart device with a second home account
6:30 Diancie was released in pokemon go during the Go fest event as you mentioned and if they follow their pattern should be released to everyone by the end of spring/beginning of summer this year as that's what they do with every mythical release and hoopa unbound is occasionally released in elite raids.
Yes, that is true however it’s worth noting that we do not know for sure as nothing has been announced.
Also giving a mention to shiny hunting Arceus in BDSP after catching Arceus in Legends.
you can shiny hunt Arceus? also I'm v sad Abt spindas circumstances RN too 😭 one of the coolest concepts in the series

Can you trade me a ageto celebi?
@@privatepika2052 No, because I only have one and I don't want to restart an entire run Emerald just to have another one.
@@Mudkip971you can clone it in emerald
@@yoshiwoollyworld True but it's a lot of trouble. I'd still have to clone one and go through the process of moving it from Gen 3 to Gen 8+.
I mean the home thing is so easy to work around its not even worth mentioning
If you don't already have one of these mythicals, which is the entire point of the video, then it is impossible to work around
There is now a way to do ACE in FRLG natively.
SWSH was one of the harder ones imo. Gen 3 and 4 were brutal though.
I would like to add some things to what you have already discussed though:
- Original Color Magearna, while obtainable on the Switch via Home itself, is a reward to you for depositing one of each species of pokemon from Bulbasaur to Eternatus, which means you still need Bank to trasfer some of them to get Original Color Magearna.

I'm sorry, but maybe before responding to another person's comment, saying things like "leave only reliable informations" in a condescending tone, you should actually read the comment you are responding to and fact check yourself first.
@@croma3375 bro really came here all smug and stuff and ended up being the blasted one 😂

No hard feelings from me either, but your first reply did come off as a bit condescending.
On the topics at hand:
If you read my comments I said that if you deposit Hoopa Unbound inside POKEMON BANK it will revert back to the Confined form unless it is from USUM.

Something that should be mentioned with pokemon go is a relatively recent thing they’ve done… they’ve started scrolling through “seasons” which change the spawn set to specific pokemon. Not every pokemon is available at any time (I’m still waiting for relicanth to come back ;-;)
Not sure what the default spawn set will look like when pokemon go goes into its EndOfLife session, but hopefully that won’t come for a long time

Shaymin and Darkrai can be shiny in BDSP games too, but you had to get the items that activeted their events wich are not avaible today.
Yep, I successfully shiny hunted Shaymin in Platnium.
Hoopa Unbound has also been available in Elite Raids in Pokemon Go. Though the last time it happened was December 10 2022, but there's always a chance it comes back again.
Marshadow was recently available as a paid special research for the Go Fest Ticket (obviously too late now for those who missed it😅)
Darkrai is usually available yearly in Go raids during October and can be shiny hunted this way.
Shaymin was available through a paid research in Go, no longer available.

Big thanks for the moves spreadsheet! been in the process of trying to figure that all out and it is a big help
You can move Pokemon from 5→6→7 with pksm in modded 3ds
You can get pokebank and other stuff related to Pokemon like poke transporter, virtual console games and many more with Hshop in modded 3ds.
I do hope we see a Pokémon collection this year
I seriously doubt it.
(And likely would be a pain to connect to HOME)
Same with putting the games on the Game Boy and GBA NSO apps.
These challanges include:
- Move Pokemon from bank to HOME
- Register Diancie from X and Y
- Register Eevee brought over using Poke Transporter
- Register Litwick brought over using Poke Transporter
- Register Pulverizing Snorlax (a.k.a the special Munchlax obtained as an early purchase bonus in Sun & Moon that would be holding a Snorlium Z.
Yaaay a part 2 didnt exoect it so quick. Love both mate :3
6:20 Additional note for Furfrou trims: Most of them are region locked. Americas, Asia, Europe + Africa, but also some countries: Japan, France, Egypt. The Heart Trim is also time-locked to February.
Amazing video, thank you for all that you do for the community!!! 😊
You madlad, thank you so much. I'll be referencing this for the next several months
3:05 Cheers for the shoutout, mate!😉💖🌹
17:27 THANK YOU! I was SO confused why I couldn’t add my Raikou to Scarlet. Happy to (kinda) know why!
12:06 pokemon ranger 2 and 3 can also give the manaphy egg when using dns to unlock the special mission get the egg
Tremendous amount of work ... thank you for this!!
You can still get pokemon with lower levels than they should with GO
Man I kid you not I watched the first video this morning and you uploaded this an hour later
So the strange barrier for mythical/legendaries can be broken if you have two home accounts. It ONLY locks it to the home that the pokemon was initially sent to
3:27 you can also change deoxys forms in SV. You have to buy the meteorite from the stalls in the auction place
The elemental monkeys are also available in the friend safari in Pokémon X and Y (although you need to befriend people who have those friend safaris)
Yeah, sadly I still miss Pansage... Also the Friend Safari is the only way to get all of them with hidden abilities on the 3DS games.
Aren't they avaliable in the Santalune forest, at the very beginning? I used Simisage and Simipour in my playthrough team
If they have friken CONTENT in HOME related to using old game transfers-they shouldn't disable the method to finish it.
Pokemon that are not in SwSh get their USUM movesets when transfered to HOME from GO so you might be agle to get some legacy moves registered in HOME that way
Wasn't Volcanion an event in SW/SH?
On shiny jirachi, the bonus disc was only in America. For Europe, shiny jirachi came through pokemon channel.
I love how neither, patrat, lilipup, audino, and emolga, appeared in the indigo disk despite being the mascots for the wild and special wild theme's.
The rest are valid points, but don't you dare bring Comfey into this...
If i remember well there was an event with Zarude where you could also get a shiny celebi
7:46 just to mention this, you can get a shiny Zeraora via an event that happened in the past in SWSH :)
you have to claim in it the mobile home app which is why many may have it, but don't know it.
*Mentioned at 10:13
There was actually a zeraora event in sword and shield that let you get a shiny zeraora, so it is on switch.
10:12 technically there was a shiny Zerarora you could get in 2020 when they did the tera raid events
@@Tobunari I never mentioned Nintendo Direct.
Just wanted to say thanks. Used this video and your spreadsheet to identify what I would have missed out on.
I am pissed off that the most complete experience you can have in pokemon are Gen 7 games, movepool deletions, attack removals and pokemon not returning in the game completely suck
Of course this gets recommended to me the day the WiFi service goes down.
Hopefully over time loosing bank won't mean much. I wouldn't hold my breath for VC releases but it be so nice. Just how would they handle dual screen
I hope the rumors of a switch DS are true but maybe that's just something I dreamed up
Considering GameFreak really only did VC for the 3DS due to the 20th anniversary, probably not.
@@MrJoeyWheeler reread it
I had very good luck on the gts with the gen 5 mons seems pretty active. Good luck to everyone on whatever they are chasing!
My hope is that people make a fan-server for Pokemon Home.
Utter respect, I'm likely-minded on this.
Birth Island Deoxys can also be caught in Emerald if you are willing to go through learning Arbitary Code Execution and the Pomeg Berry Glitch. Same could be said for Mew.
12:19 None of those pokemon are shiny locked in BDSP
Shaimin and Darkray's events are over, but you can still, and with no limited time, get Arceus
Shaymin and Darkrai aren't huntable if you didn't grab the event, or own the game digitally
@@BeeTheBee I know, I pointed out the events are over because of that
Furfrou is going to return in Legends Z-A next year
