@@sortoftactical they really are! I’ve not encountered many problems with my channel in regards to limited monetization except for any video regarding installation of something.
Honestly, if they would just change it to no restrictions on monetization but all gun videos are 18+, I think people would be happy. Only 1% of my audience is less than 18.

Very good presentation. I just disassembled my Cross for cerakote. This was very helpful. I would suggest that it’s easier to just take the right side safety lever off. Than you can use the leverage of the left side lever to remove and replace. Others can take note that it works a bit better to have the safety in the fire position when releasing pressing on the lever inside to release it. My Cross is new, and the ball with the spring under it is captive. Makes taking the pin out much easier.

Any idea if there is a 0 MOA rail to replace the 20 MOA it comes with? I don't see 1500 yard shooting in my future. odd as they call it a hunting rifle..no need to loose sweet spot on the scopes lens just to sight in at 100-200 yards..thanks

They cant decide what they want it to be. Itbis supposed to come with a 0 MOA but I jave not seen or heard of more than a few that havenit. It wont affect you on the closer ranges. In fact it will keep your reticle in the middel or upper 1/3. That area is the clearest.

Any companies making aftermarket triggers for this rifle?

    • @sortoftactical

Absolutely zero. There really isn't anyone making anything but barrels at the moment.

On my Cross my safety selector when the bolt is out or in the up position it will travel a full 90 degrees for safety and fire. However, when the bolt is down or in battery, the safety selector gets hung up in between the two positions. Does yours do this? Since you've had your trigger group out, do you see any reason this would happen? I contacted Sig about it and never heard back. I have run my serial number and it is not a recall model. I have had no issues when firing the rifle either. If you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.

The stop between safe and fire is the fix. Not sure why that happens but thats how it is. I have no issues with mine firing when it shouldnt even when I tried to make it. Hope this jelps. If you need to chat or get more in detail email me at sortoftactical@gmail.com and we can exchange #s.

@@sortoftactical Thanks. I will keep that in mind. I've been watching all of your videos on this rifle as I was curious about disassembly but, did not want to take mine apart. So far I have been extremely pleased with mine. (6.5 CM model)

@@nismo8319 I still would not disassemble it unless there is a reason to. I shouldnt have but I was way to curious.

That "hung up" is safety feature. :D

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH 2 роки тому

The "hung up" in between positions on the safety is due to the inherit poor design of the rotating cam mechanism. The cam lobe is super tall then coupled with the spring detent(not ball detent) that has a HUGE radius. It feels mushy in the middle. A typical AR safety has a small ball bearing detent with spring pressure behind it. A much smoother faster acting mechanism. I was at the SIG pro shop yesterday and after cycling the safety i didnt not like it what so ever. And the lever on both sides are super short, not cool if you have big hands like me. It wanted to natural go into the middle position on first attempt every time. Which made me re think me purchasing it and walked out of there with no rifle.

I wonder if we'll be seeing an offering from Timney for this rifle. That would be cool.

We can hope but I would not hold my breath on it. It is so proprietary that I dont see anything parts wise coming from anyone but Sig.

I find the 2 stage trigger on the Cross, better than the trigger on my Christensen Arms Ridgeline. But, I like a two stage trigger, some don’t.

Haha thanks for the help, we’re men we have to take things apart. I enjoyed it so much I’m thinking about tearing it down again blast the cerakote off, & start over (just kidding) but I’m working on another project now. Might try nontraditional colors, just haven’t fully committed.

I wouldnt! It is the "fix" after the recall. All of them are this way.
