Welcome to Sort of Tactical.
Yes, I really mean sort of, as in: to some extent; in some way or other (used to convey inexactness or vagueness).

A lot of the skills and tactics I learned in my life were taught to me in the Army where I spent 20 years as an Infantryman and Combat Medic. I've had some really cool training, been to some really great, and awful, places and now I just want to share my adventures with you!

We are on round 2 of trying Lone Wolf frames. Hating a Glock frame really cuts out choices if you like the reliability and predictability of Glock. vertx SOCP Tactical Fanny Pack: Part II EDC To the MAX! Storage and Pistol Carry Secure
I used a 12" steel bar which I bent slightly and attached the bar to my forend with M=Lock screws. Cost me $4:00 😀 Many shooters are coming up with ingenious ideas to connect these magnetospeed chronos to their rifles so it doesn't affect the barrel harmonics.
I’m right there with you on the knob. But now I’m having a different issue. The legs are super rattley, shakey. I’ll have to try and tighten down some of the screws. Idk yet. Have you had this issue?
There is some m oevement in mine. I don't have an issue when shooting as I apply forward pressure and all the slack goes away.
Sieht sehr gut aus !!!
Thank you!
Thank you for the awesome Video. How hard was it to remove the Handguard ? Did you had to heat up the Handguard to remove the screws (loctite)?
Very easy. Take off the scope rail. Loosen 6 screws. Done.
@@sortoftactical the screws are not glued or something?
@@KommBat not at all. A low amount of torque holds them on. Not much at all.
Awesome. I really appreciate all your contend about the Sig Cross. It’s very helpful for a new Cross owner. Shout out for Berlin
I ordered the Vertx. But it was the everyday carry one. Blends in more. Looks like the LuLu Lemon one. Very flimsy, the clip was horrible. Could EASILY come undone accidentally. And as a CCW. You are responsible for that. Too many “what ifs” I ordered the 945 Industries. It is a good bit more expensive. But does come with a custom kydex holster. Which is actually one of my favorite parts. Most “Velcro holsters” are very basic. Seems they just manufacture a flat back holster and glue Velcro to it. It works. But can be finicky to draw. The 945 holster is a full kydex holster with a flap of Velcro bolted to the holster (doesn’t interfere with the firearm) but allows a slight lift up on the holster to allow a MUCH more secure purchase on the firearm. Again, it isn’t cheap. But it’s definitely not made as cheaply as the Vertx. Plus nearly every gun reviewer on YT has a 10% off code. As well as a generous Military Discount.
Love the rifle, but a terrible trigger. Way to much over-travel, very little take-up in the first stage, a bit of creep. Not a good trigger at all and compared to the older SSG 3000 a poor trigger. I sent the rifle back to SIG and the trigger is now worse. If I compare this rifle to the 2 custom rifles I have it shows little merit.
I don't find that with my trigger. I guess that actually makes it look bad across the board. They fail big time in the consistency department
I hate it, but glad you did it and like it. I have a bunch of wear on my bottom bolt lug. Its a screw pattern with only maybe 200 rounds fired its a bit concerning
100% call ZSig and have them replace it. I wouldnt let that slide.
@@sortoftactical they have already replaced the barrel on it. It was in there crooked when I got it. I mean real crooked. Off of a b8 target with my scope out of clicks right at 20 yards. SIG are terrible over the phone. Thanks man. Keep up your endevors
im still waiting on sig to sell the new hinge for the cross magnum separately because the hinge on my .308 cross requires a ridiculous amount of effort to fold closed
You may have more luck with hopes and dreams.
@@sortoftacticalhaha
oh my god this is torture!!!Stop talking and learn how to edit your video guy. good god, so confusing.. mean well but I want to pull my hair out!!
Does anyone know if the smaller QAPS bag will fix a xmacro with a holo? They told me it wouldn’t fit with the holo but I feel like I can make it fix…
The Xmacro is already 5.2 inches while the bag is only 5 inches. Doesn't look like it would work. The large really isn't that big.
@@sortoftactical I’m gonna roll with this and get the large then. Thanks man stay safe
Velcro is a brand name for the system of "hook and loop" attachment. So just call it hook and loop if you don't want to say Velcro as it is a copyrighted name, like Kleenex, Q-Tip, or Xerox.
AICS mags, those are the AR magazines? Is it possible to swap stock and thus change the mags i use? I would love to get AR mags and make it "more" of a scout rifle
Thos 2 will never be used in the same rifle. The bolt, and the way it picks up a round, is the primary force for what mag is used.
945 makes an additional pouch for a spare mag
I have the secondary pouch. It is good quality, I just dont like it.
It's so nice little bag but for $160 I'll wait until it comes down in price.
I'll probably wait until the price goes down some what $160 lot of money
Was this in 41?
Good catch. Now shhhh...
Don’t hate.
I just got the 945I small and it's a great bag. My G26 fits perfectly. I use it as a sling and the access and draw is super quick.
Glad to hear it
Great video! Have you had any interaction with the Fieldcraft Survival fanny pack?
I have not. Price seems good. I don't think drawing a gun will be as easy as the 945.
So you got two free bags for positive reviews..made in china $130 bag ! Huge profit margins
Nobody buys my honesty. My integrity amd honest words are free for all. I do understand it is hard to believe that in this culture we live in. If I did not like the bag I would have said so, or returned it with no video completed. I have returned dozens of products that I will not get behind. I do not like that it is made in China. I challenge you to look around your house. If your conviction is so strong there should ne nothing from China there.
$200 my ass
They don't have a $200 bag. Maybe after shipping and taxes, perhaps. America is surely a wonderful place. You literally don't have to buy something because someone on you tube liked it.
I don’t use phone pouch either. I put some band aids in mine.
Mine ran great on 115gr.ammo! I attempted to use 124gr federal, and 124gr Fiocci ammo. The rounds stuck in the chamber, locking the slide out of battery. Had a tough time freeing the stuck rounds. Palmetto has the gun in for repairs. Hope to have it back soon.
I have used fanny packs as my everyday purse for years now. I've just started looking into carry bags. I like the 945 but wish the front pocket was more the size like the main pocket. Big enough to hold a thicker wallet, checkbook, battery pack, charger cable, etc.
The Bando bag might be more for you. I just dont like the slow draw/gun access. Otherwise it rocks.
I have an M Tac sling bag but ive been thinking about 945's
You can remove your bolt without folding the stock. I discovered this on accident with mine and I don’t see anyone else say it. You can just let your cheek riser extend all the way to the top and the bolt will slide right underneath it, just gotta wiggle it a bit to the side at the very end
Looking for something water proof
If P365 XL with a red dot can fit you would think a G43X with a red dot would too?
I would hate to say yes and be wrong. That's your hard earned money.
Is this for regular gun owners that never shoot. For safety life threatening only??? Now I don't know what to buy. duh.
Don't buy this!! I am giving up on it. No holster support, and I still cant get it to stop failing to eject at least once per mag.
So your saying I can't buy a glock or sig sauer and expect them to work perfectly??? I have been trying to decide for 2 months how to carry my gun when I get one and have decided on a fanny bag type carry pouch and not in my front bdu pocket. You've thrown me for a loop now that your doing this mod. WHY??? If it ain't broke...don't fix it.
I have to tinker...and I really hate the glock grip. It is NOT perfection, for me at least. I found yet another gun, 2 actually, that fits into this category. Very soon I will post another vid about it.
Thanks!
nice very helpful. you should check out grab bags they just came out with the gun slinger
Just a thought from a person that finds no product ever seems to hit it out of the park in all areas. It sounds like if you got some good fabric glue and glued the fabric where the holster is attached it would fix that problem. Or maybe add a ballistic panel to stiffen up the excess fabric. I haven’t gotten my vertx in the mail yet so I’ll definitely look at curing that problem when I get it. It seems like you could also sew in a pull strap on the vertx for faster access. Also add a keeper for the excess strap, add a small pad that can slider over the buckle and bang you added all the features you like about the 945 to the vertx. Idk.. when I get my vertx in a few days I might rethink the whole thing…. But I know very few things I’ve ever owned didn’t need some modification to suit my needs. Good luck on your search for the ultimate bag 🍻 thanks for your video
Just got mine. 2 mos. Later. Yet to fire. I like the way it feels in your hand. Gives you a high grip. The beaver tail protects you from slide bite.
Thanks for the great review. I ordered the newer version because of this video and I run a holosun on my 43x with a trl7. I too wear gym close 95% of the time and think this product will be great! Thanks for the discount code and great content. Excited to get mine and put it to work.
Elite Survival Systems Fanny pack? Bando ?
I just got a Bando. I will likely do a video but it isnt my favorite for gun carry.
This is exactly the video I needed. Just picked up a Ruger American Gen 2 and am ordering some AICS mags and they all look different from brand to brand and I was like, hold on, am I missing something here lol thanks for the video man!
Glad I could help
@@sortoftactical I had to file a very small amount of the plastic inside the stock in order to get them to feed better but after that, no issues.
I really like this bag, but seems kind of pricey. But I like the design/concept…nice review
I use the SOCP. The floppy loop material in the gun compartment is an easy fix. I use a Viktos Universal gun sleeve with an MR920 (glock19), and it works just fine. I wish these companies would be more truthful on their capacity claims. You aren't fitting a full-size G17 with a wallet, keys, etc.
I will have to check out that Viktos product for sure
THIS video!!! There is so much BS out there from the “tacticool” crowd it’s nauseating. And you’re right, those clowns just do it for the likes, views and subs for the almighty dollar. It’s shameful really. Thank you and keep up the good work!
I hope those aren't live primers in those jars. That is extremely dangerous.
They are, I live wild and free...and I dont shake up my primers.
My safariland ALS works just like yours but for concealed carry my blackpoint tactical holsters work with this frame. This frame is so much better than the stock glock frame.
Agreed! Thanks for letting me know about the holster that fits well.
@sortoftactical no problem. Also my g code holsters didn't work with the frame. Just some more info for anyone who wants it
Thanks
😂😂 $150 yeah ok
I took a razor blade and carefully removed the badge on the 945
Doesmt matter. In another couple months everyone's going to know it's a gun pouch anyway
The first thing I did was cut out the cell phone pouch
I have a Smith and Wesson 5.7 and I just checked with them, this bag won’t fit it, but they said they will have one in 3 months 😊. However, a 1911, without an optic, will fit this bag.
Another excellent, down to earth real world review, thank you! I like to watch a few videos of people’s content before I subscribe, but I just subscribed after watching the second video, lol. Well done!
Thank you. I don't do the fluff very well. Guess that limits my subscribers, oh well.
@@sortoftactical keep doing you man
Thanks for the no bs and honest review, I appreciate it. Seems nowadays, way too many guntubers are just shills for the companies. It’s refreshing to see a video like this. Keep up the good work!
Trigger upgrade is a must. After my trigger upgrade, it has ran absolutely flawless.
I have heard this a few times now. I have yet to have an issue but I only have a few hundred rounds through it.
