I've beaten Sunshine 3 times, but this is the first time I ever heard of the tip of "don't hold forward on a green blooper to not die".
I did not know about the blooper thing tbh even though I played probably hundreds of hours of that game. It was probably because I was too busy with diving on goop to make other piantas fall into it in different stages in the story (and learning the limit on how far you can spread it depending on what cutscenes were triggered). Ya... I tried covering all of Delifino PLaza in goop.
But honestly, if someone could spend the time to make a completed explanation of all these small things might be nice for some speedrunners. And maybe having a one stop shop for vid guilds on how to do all the different tricks, different routes depending on speedrunner experience, vid guilds on setting up dolphine download for the IL split practice, etc... would be nice to make it easier for people to decide to pick up mario sunshine. (As I mentioned before, my brother who speedruns odyssey enjoys speedrunning it because of all the complete video guilds for different difficulty levels and tricks. To my understanding, sunshine has some of this stuff, but not as well complete or organized as odyssey. He'd probably try to start sunshine speedruns if there were more guilds.). However, that is a huge task and I don't know how much it would benefit the sunshine scene, but it would definitely decrease the barrier to entry. Yes, I know parts of these things can be found in speedrun.com's sunshine resources, just as said before, it doesn't seem as complete.

Tasing helps to understand any game at a way deeper level. It helps to show the actual limits for the current best known strats and it also helps RTA runners. I'd recommend it to anyone.

It does help when it's your favorite game, you could try tasing some sunshine ILs. Anyway just wanted to say that I've been enjoying the podcast and I've been listening since the first episode. Keep it up :)
Totally agree with your take on obscure SMS knowledge, so much stuff like that comes up in ILs, but sadly there's just not really ever a good time or place to talk about these things since they are usually irrelevant or people don't care about them (less true nowadays maybe?)
My fav piece of arcane Sunshine knowledge has to be that if you do a rollout into a frame perfect spin, the speed and distance you get on the spin depend on how long you held A for in order to rollout.
If there was a video showcasing all movement and tech in super mario sunshine I would run it

Whenever youtube doesn't generate a transcript for an episode it gets exponentially more cumbersome to keep track of my sid statistics.

It could be cool to post them when ep. 50 is released/ season 1 is finished.
The only things I've come up with so far is counting the minecraft resumé mentions and the amount of times LM3 was dissed.
Sid meming about stuff is always good.
(Though now I realise being aware of specific things to mention could artificially increase their numbers in the remaining 6 episodes...)
Fall guys definitely will die unless the devs keep pumping out minigames. It's just the way of most "fun" games.
