This is why it looks like you're phasing through a wall when doing EYG. What's actually going on is that the juice block creates a hole in the uninitialized space due to having floor collision.

oh so thats why sewer jumps felt super inconsistent back when I was a kid, sometimes you'd instantly just stand on the surface and other times you'd fly.

The best part of Sunshine for me as a kid was cleaning the Shine Gate and getting to the top without the rocket nozzle (and subsequently finding the pipe on accident), because it was the only thing I figured out how to do that my big sister couldn't.

Almost 200,000 views in less than 2 weeks. Very nice! I think part of the reason I enjoy videos like this is because I like learning about game development. It's useful seeing how the "magic" works, gets recycled between games, and breaks. Thank you sir.

The timing of this video for people who speedrun Marble Madness for the NES is kinda funny, because 2 weeks ago a trick was found where using pause buffering makes it so you can skip a cycle in the last level of the game so then you can save around 55 frames, and it's also RTA viable.
10/10 video, keep it up man!

  • @BuckBlaziken

There’s a weird barrel glitch that allows you to walk underwater as if the water doesn’t exist. You put a barrel halfway in the water and half way on the ground, get on top of it, pause the game, unpause it, then immediately ground pound the barrel. I’d say it had like a 15% chance of working. I remember discovering it as a child and never seen it talked about. Because of it you can easily access the weird large scaffold tower in the middle of the ocean with a rocket boost. I think it’s the same or similar process used to no clip into solid objects.
