As someone who fell in love with this game when I started emu(playing it legally)lating it back in 2017. I must admit this is single-handedly hardest trick to perform in this game and it is what separates the casuals from the true enthusiasts of this game

I’m not a speed runner, but I have taken the time to learn most of the janky strats in this game. Not this one though, and I might never. It is clear to me just how stupidly hard this is.

I will say, personally, I use A to cancel y-cam 👀 didn’t know I was the weird one! I just find it so much simpler to double tap A. Makes things easy in my brain.

I love watching tutorials for stuff like this. Not too interested in speedrunning itself, but it's interesting to see what people have managed to do in their favorite games.

It's a tall order to ask of, but it'd be cool if you did a tutorial for every trick in the game. It'd help people understand the speedruns better and might encourage them to start running since a tutorial's already been done.

Hey Trey if you ever do a stage in Pianta Village see if you could recreate something I had happen as a kid, idk how and it was a night time level but I fell on the tree that goes to the bottom of the void and somehow slid down it just right to bypass the death barrier, still keeps me wondering to this day how it happened

It’s practically near impossible since I’m playing this on the 3D All Stars version with JoyCons. I have to actually press the right joystick to do that Y-Turn. I’m going to have to hook a GameCube Controller to my switch.
u can also remap controls with joycons - I would highly recommend mapping Y-cam to ANYTHING but joystick click lol
