Your in luck, the lore from this video is from the Beyond Skyrim modding team. The Beyond Skyrim projects have already made massive progress and I'd personally guess Roscrea is probably looking at a mid to late 2023 release date at the latest. Development on most of the projects is very solid, some of em are pushing close to partial release. The Illiac bay team is releasing 'Three Kingdoms' (three different citystates) of the High Rock/Hammerfell region sometime soon. Of course it's all being done by unpaid modding teams, so time tables vary, but these guys are legit badasses with how much they have done since the project started. That and the ambition of the project. By the time their done, all (or most) of Tamriel will be playable in Skyrims engine. You'll be able to walk from Shornhelm to Archon and Firewatch to Torval (with loading screens of course). You should check out their youtube channel, they drop new bits of finished content and updates all the time for the different projects. Almost certainly will get to play most if not all of the Beyond Skyrim mods well before TES 6 ever comes out.

Incredible video! Loved it! Although I think you should have said that the whole Roscree segment was not entirely cannon before it begun, since some viewers might not watch to the end. Nevertheless, I loved it and i prefer it much more to just mentioning it for a second and moving on, oh, and another thing some pronunciations are a bit off XD, although that's not that much of a problem. Love your work❤️
One day. I recommend Wizards and Warriors to take a look at Kingdom Under Fire. It’s already a strategy Fantasy Sword and Shield game that have battles that could be revived in classic KnG style.
I would've liked Bethesda to have fleshed out the Battle of Rourken-Shalidor... An immensely powerful (and cranky) wizard single-handedly fighting off an entire clan of technologically-advanced and magical bearded elves walking through his yard. If that doesn't scream "Metal Album Shirt" I mean there's always the Battle of Red Mountain...
Small lore fact about the roscrean animal cults. In the old atmoran religion, the animals of said cults were representations of the atmoran gods. Shor, chief of the atmoran pantheon and creator of the world, was represented by the fox, stuhn, god of ransom and hostages, was represented by the whale and tsun, the warrior god (and the guy you meet in Skyrim) is represented by the bear.
It should be said that Yokuda didn't "sink". Most of the land mass is now under water, but it is stated in TES IV Oblivion that the empire still trades with Yokuda, meanimg that there are still inhabited islands.
look up elder kings for elder scrolls strategy gaming fun. If you didn't already know it I'd recommend waiting for Elder Kings 2 to release (you can learn how to play Crusader Kings 3 in the meantime) as Elder Kings 1 has a lot of content based on payed DLC mechanics to the point of making it actually fun being quite expensive
They’re not literally snake people. In TES4 Oblivion, the Hero goes on a quest to recover an Akaviri amulet called the Draconian Madstone from Pale Pass. There, they come across Akaviri skeletons and even interact with an Akiviri ghost. They’re clearly human. I think they’re just another race of men that didn’t originate on Atmora, like the Redguards.
We don't know what the Tsaesci are. "Asians", Snake people, Shapeshifters all have points in the lore. We haven't seen their homeland, nor a living breathing one. We've seen ghosts of soldiers and descendants. My guess is they're BOTH Snakes and Humans...An multicultural empire composed of multiple races. Snakes, Men and Dragons. Just consider this...The Empire on Tamriel is composed of multiple breeds of Humans and Mer alongside Lizard and Cat peoples. If Lizard and Cat people exist...There's no reason that Snake, Tiger and Monkey peoples can't. Eat = Conquer, Subjugate, Devour on a Cultural level. The multiple accounts contradicting on whether they're Humans or Snakes or Shapeshifters...Is because the different accounts met different types of Tsaesci (think less race more nationality). The Ghosts were Human foot soldiers, The Defenders of the Homeland and "Emperors" of the Potentate were Snakes, Shapeshifters are crossbreeds.
@@khalduras784 The original intention was to be ambiguous and contradictory. One source in TES3:Morrowind says the Tsaesci are humans. Another says they are Snakefolk that ate humans. Later games seem to have gone with the Tsaesci being humans angle as the truth. Or perhaps 'conquered' is correct and the true Snakefolk Tsaesci just stayed in Akaviri while their human soldiers went to Tamriel.
i love how much this series has to *try* to make the audience root for the septims, thats what i like about tes, really, its portrayal of the empire is very accurate to real world empires. theyre terrible but theyre the winners, so they write all the history, and most folk are too prone to propaganda to speak out against them hence why none of the games overtly focus on "destroying the evil empire" ... despite my best attempts -
Still a shame that we didn't got one of Bethesda's first ideas for Skyrim... Uriel returning from Akavir in command of a new army trying to reclaim his Empire. and thanks to ZeniMax Online's ESO we knowns that the Tsaesci are just boring humans.
Some of the Akavir in ESO do offhandedly mention shedding their skin, and it's established that the races of men and some beastfolk can interbreed. So it's possible that they're just descended from both the Tsaesci snake-people and the men of Akavir.
@@sephiroaone-of-nine101 Oblivion's Emperor is Uriel the VII...The Akaviri Invasion's Emperor was Uriel the V. It's not the same guy it's two different Septim Emperors. Though the question would be how is he still alive two centuries later and why would the Tsaesci spare and follow him. Also that his bloodline no longer matters at all...The Dragonblood that made them the only worthy lords is powerless now as it's no longer needed to light the dragonfires. A new dynasty that has won the peoples respect and love has been in command for over a century. If Uriel the V came back he's just a would be conqueror a threat to be slain for the good of Tamriel. So yeah it's a good thing they chose something else as he is a better character dying off how he did then bringing him back. So yeah it'd be dumb but it wouldn't ruin anything about Oblivion.

The quality of your videos is absurd, in the most positive way. I subscribed immediately, it's a pleasure to see videos like these.
Going from the story of the battle of the trident and GoT to this and it's shocking how well Bethesda's writers crafted this story.
Please make a video about the Battle for Doldrey from Berserk!!!
Awesome work
Yes! Was waiting for you to cover the Akavir invasion. Please do keep up the amazing work man 👌🏽
Roscrea being totem of dragon cult rules has been my head cannon for ages where did we get confirmation of this?
I’ve always wanted a game set on the Isle of Roscrea. A nice place to see some Alaviri influences without needing to go all out.
Just got home from work, I am so ready for this to relax, thank you so much 🤙🤙🤙
Small lore fact about the roscrean animal cults.
This unironically feels like what the History channel used to be like.
Pretty cool to see a collab with a modding project. I hope you have more of these in mind for the future.
Talking about "glory" and "conquests" during an actual war near my home just hits different.
It should be said that Yokuda didn't "sink". Most of the land mass is now under water, but it is stated in TES IV Oblivion that the empire still trades with Yokuda, meanimg that there are still inhabited islands.
i can't wait for your videos on the Great War.
Thank you so much for this Disaster at Ionith is my favorite book in Elder Scrolls.
I don't know how I feel about the fact that a large chunk of the video is just pure fan made lore, good fan made lore but fan made all the same.
Awesome work, it's such a good watch!
Seeing these videos .... Imagine a Total War :Tamriel edition . Would be something I'd burn my money on for sure
look up elder kings for elder scrolls strategy gaming fun. If you didn't already know it I'd recommend waiting for Elder Kings 2 to release (you can learn how to play Crusader Kings 3 in the meantime) as Elder Kings 1 has a lot of content based on payed DLC mechanics to the point of making it actually fun being quite expensive
@@theultimatefreak666 And yet no one has made an ES-themed Fire Emblem yet.
Uriel Spetim: *tries to conquest country with swamps, forest and warrior natives*
Publius Quinctilius Varus: "First time?"
Please do a series on the Legacy of Kain. That’d be so awesome.
Good stuff!
Omg this is awesome.
Like when that other channel started doing scp videos.
Back with my favourite series 👀👀
Am I the only one who wants this to be the next elder scrolls game?
You didn’t use the awful music, and I love you for it.
The scene from 11:57 to 12:12 is just so epic
They’re not literally snake people. In TES4 Oblivion, the Hero goes on a quest to recover an Akaviri amulet called the Draconian Madstone from Pale Pass. There, they come across Akaviri skeletons and even interact with an Akiviri ghost. They’re clearly human. I think they’re just another race of men that didn’t originate on Atmora, like the Redguards.
personally think they're a species of near-humans with snakelike traits, just because that'd be badass
We arent sure if that's what the original creators intended them to be. It really just depends on which writer is writing for their story
Potential snake-men in Samurai-like armor? Sounds like a must-have for the next Elder Scrolls game.
So... Warriors Orochi?
Fantastic video keep it up your doing amazing job
Is it possible that you do an episode about economy of empire like you do with Tolkiens Arda? Or episode about east imperial trading company?
You should make a video on the Malazan empire!
Fantastic episode! Could you please cover the Battle of Autobot City?
When are we going to the awesome 40k series with your iconic quality??
Man dont gloss over the Nerevarine like this.... Dagoth Ur was a threat!
So love this !
Loving the elder scrolls lore videos keep up the good work
i love how much this series has to *try* to make the audience root for the septims, thats what i like about tes, really, its portrayal of the empire is very accurate to real world empires. theyre terrible but theyre the winners, so they write all the history, and most folk are too prone to propaganda to speak out against them hence why none of the games overtly focus on "destroying the evil empire" ... despite my best attempts -
Still a shame that we didn't got one of Bethesda's first ideas for Skyrim...
So it's possible that they're just descended from both the Tsaesci snake-people and the men of Akavir.
would have been dumb and ruin oblivion
@@sephiroaone-of-nine101 Oblivion's gameplay already ruined Oblivion.
@@flamesofchaos13 I meant as in Martijn sacrifice that would be ruined. If throw was just a another royal bloodline individual
Really great vid on the elder scrills
Uriel had the right of it! For what is Life without the Risks taken to achieve Glory! Sometimes you Succeed and sometimes sadly you Fail!!!!
