🧭 ABOUT US
Hi! We are Helen and Tim. We are adventure travelers that saved up some money to travel full-time in Jan 2023. We are based in Portland, Oregon, and have been together for over 10+ years and share a love for the great outdoors through hiking, camping, skiing, and more! We grew up in Dallas, Texas (Helen) & DuBois, Pennsylvania (Tim).
Our goal is to hike the world one mountain at a time. We love to inspire people to get outdoors no matter if the adventure is big or small. Post-hike, we enjoy the local flavors and foods, and a cold drink (beer for Tim and kombucha for Helen).
There is so much in the world to see, even if it is in our own backyards. We started filming our adventures in the PNW and that has evolved into filming our international travels.
Thanks so much for watching! We will see you on the next trail! 🥾
Join us for another alpine adventure! We loved Lake Garda and could see us visiting more longer them for a couple months at some point. The via ferrata was thrilling! Wow, this is mind blowing my friend. Absolutely stunning work! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!! ☺️ that means a lot to us.
Amazing! The Via ferrata looked epic as well as all the incredible scenery. Great content, looking forward to your next video.
We had a blast but it was hair raising at times! Lake Garda is definitely one of our favorite stops and we got all the good feels from that place. Thanks for watching
Definitely breathtaking! And the via ferrata looks so cool (and anxiety inducing sometimes lol)! That's been a bucket list item for a while!!
Lake Garda is one of our top 5 lakeside mountain towns now! We plan to go back again this fall since we loved it so much 😅 Via ferrata definitely had some anxiety inducing moments, but quite thrilling and fun. You both will have to try it sometime!
Great job loved it
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching 🙂
Great video and footage! What a beautiful hike! Ha! I definitely got a little bit of vertigo watching you walk over that waterfall! Brave brave brave. Reminds me when my husband accidentally ‘forgot’ that he was taking me on a double-black diamond slope. I made it down ok, but gave him a little grief.
Thank you ☺️ Husbands like to do that kind of things. Conveniently forgets 😅 Story sounds familiar with double blacks. Happened to me in Utah too hahaha
It was by far one of the most fun and scariest things we have done during our full-time travels. We want to try and do a couple more via Ferratas when we go back to Western Europe this fall. -Helen
OMG.... those views on the via ferrata looked CRAZY!!! One of your best videos to live vicariously through you two. Keep it going!!!!
We loved the video too! Fun to put together and relive that experience. Via ferrata was quite scary in some sections. Glad you enjoyed it! Many fun adventures planned for the rest of the year
Oh my goodness. I would've been very scared on that via ferrata. But so cool! Awesome hikes. Italy is gorgeous! And Helen, your face in the end was of exhaustion and betrayal haha - Mel
It was a very scary via ferrata. I was shaking in some of the exposed sections. Tim's glad I forgave him haha. Definitely one of the most gorgeous places we have seen in Italy.
Slowly getting caught up on your videos, but love all these coastal hikes! Would’ve definitely taken Jimmy and I much longer than 3 1/2 hours 😂.
Always appreciate your support! 😉 You both are stronger than you think. We use food, beer, and ice cream a lot as motivation for our hike 😆
my favorite part of Italy!!! Was there last year at the beginning of June, although I started in Bolzano and explored the Val Gardena-Val di Fassa areas. HIGHLY recommend that part of the dolomites, check out the Rosengarten park, much less traveled than its neighbor 3 Cime di lavaredo. All the other travelers I met were local from Italy or Austria.
It has moved up to one of our favorite parts of Italy and within our travels. Looks like you had a great time up. Thanks for the recommendations. Will have to save for next time we are our that way. Dolomites are a gem. We will have a couple more videos from that area in the future since we returned to hike in Sept 🥾
Did you book a tour/guide for the via ferrata or just do it solo? I've done a via ferrata before but wanted to see if this is possible without a guide.
We didn’t book with a guide and went solo ☺️ Have fun!
