'07 Silverado has no power to low pressure switch. Checked all the fuses and relays. If you jumper to the green wire on compressor it will come on cold. How do you test the high pressure sensor with 3 wires?
I believe this was helpful, my a/c wouldn’t turn on out of nowhere, but as I’m driving cold air is coming out just barely. Cold air would come out through vents only as I drive though, but just barely. I just had the compressor and condenser replaced two months ago as well
Same issue. Turns cold on crank and on the highway. I swapped my motor & tuned for E fans, fans ran on toggle switch. For some reason my computer is sending an intermittent ground to the AC relay. That ground should be constant to keep the compressor on

thankyou gave me more to go on.. I checked the power to my low pressure switch a at actuator and I'm not getting power there would that happen because there's no freon in it so the little button on my control module is not sending power? I'm going to bypass that low pressure plug and give direct power to the low pressure switch if I can or can I jump it from the relay so I can get some freon in it you think that's a good idea or? and mine's a 2003 GMC 1500 pickup. Hello Lehew Tech, My ac blower works on really on high but not really blowing cold air. Do you think i need to buy R134a refrigirant? And is that the one for a 2002 chevy silverado?
Such great information, sooo helpful, i have a 2002 chevy sil. so this helps, although what that red tool you used to check the electrical connections?
I have a 2007 chevy Silverado 1500. I've had the ac replaced 2 times. After the first time, the ac/heater under the seats going into the rear seating does not blow any air. How would I check to see what is wrong?
Hey! Great video! I have a 2001 chevy silverado 1500,sometimes it won't blow on the 5th setting. I've checked all my fuses, could you possibly tell me what would be another cause? Thanks 😊
2001 Silverado 2500hd Gas - If i jump the low side pressure switch at the accumulator the compressor doesnt cycle, i was checking the fuse under the dash and i noticed when i test the fuse there the compressor kicks on everything blows cold and the ac light on the dash module under the radio will turn on again. All other fuses work, i swapped relays, still cant get it to cycle by pressing the ac button. Possibly a bad ground? I have no way to check pressures at the moment.
Yeah I have an 05 silverado with similar issues. I know my pressures are good but the only way I can get the compressor to run is to jump it at the relay. I have 4.8 volts at the low pressure switch but jumping it doesn't engage the compressor. When I jump it at the relay, it works perfectly and it even started working for a few days perfectly but it quit again.
Hey there I’m having almost the same exact problem with my 2003 silverado it only works if I jump it at the relay any help would be nice mahalo all the way from hawaii🤙🏾
@@armandoanaya3140 Yes, the clutch had worn to where the wires were showing and being grounded. I figured out it was the clutch by disconnecting the connecter at the compressor and a new fuse not blowing by doing so. Hope that makes since.
Then most likely the compressor took a crap internally or its low on ref due to a leak Leak causes can be dirty condenser coil being so dirty it raised pressures making the ref busting out thru cracks or killing the seals..so most likely change out all seals possible and condenser if its extreme clogged up in the fins
Great info thanks! I have a Question! Is the clutch relay activated by the ground? I've changed the relay. But the clutch only engages if I ground that relay pin to the body of the truck. I've changed the climate control and those two fuses that you mentioned.
Hoping my wife’s is something easy like this. I’ve been tapping the compressor for 2 summers intermittently when it won’t come on with the switch in the cab. About 3 months ago the tensioner would rattle on a hard takeoff and hit the transmission lines, new tensioner and belt-same issue. It fixed itself as quick as the issue came along. Now a week ago I was sitting with the kids while she ran in the store and it seized up and the belt went to squealing. Must have smoked the compressor because it will turn on, may squeal, may not, but it won’t cool for nothing. Mechanic wouldn’t touch it because he said voltage at the connector on the compressor was wonky. He said electrical issue and this is about the best thing I could think of.
