- GM Air Conditioning Pressure Switch Problem and Replacement!!
Don't Charge Your A/C Till You Check This!!
In this video I fix an issue I was having with my GMC Envoy air conditioning system. While most of the time the a/c works fantastic, I was having a peculiar issue where the compressor would shut down for no good reason. Upon some investigation I came upon what's called the low pressure switch. This typical GM air conditioning pressure switch monitors the refrigerant pressures and if there's a problem it'll shut down the compressor in order to protect it. You can imagine, if this part malfunctions, the compressor will act irrationally. This irrational behavior is what I think was happing to my system. Those it wasn't very often, it seemed to happen at the worst times. I swapped the pressure switch for a brand new GM ACDelco unit and so far we've not experienced the issue again.

Thank you so very much for this. I am retried and on SSI. I could not afford to take my 2005 Chevy Silverado to a mechanic. It has been 100 degree days here in NC. I did go purchase the pressure switch, and guess what? It worked!!!! I am very indebted to you for this video.
Am in the Central Valley California getting hot at 109 degrees and my Sentra is having same problem. Iam switch the part out hopefully it works for me too
I have an 06 sierra in CT, I have same issue plus at times the fan doesn't come on. I have to do this tomorrow
@@myveryfirstname check condenser in your case. If it involves the fans.
Did you have to replaced both pressure switches (high & low side)?
Thank you for this lesson
My question how can i rest tht A/C
I replaced the compressor and the radiator of the AC but the front A/C still warm and the rare A/C is coold 🤔
Hey, Thank you! You have saved me much grief. I own an 02 suburban, the AC quit, I changed the pressure switch like you suggested and it now works perfectly! Very informative video!
This part replacement fixed my 1998 Chevy 2500 Silverado today. I had just replaced the compressor, had the AC charged, and then it was doing exactly as described in this video. Sadly, I hadn't seen this video until after paying $213 for inspection and then to test and replace this part. But thank you for sharing this video to save others! ❤
Man, life saver. Just in time for the long weekend. Thank you so much for your video. I used the same switch right from your video, and everything is working as it should. Clutch is turning on and off, and ac is cold as before.
I’m troubleshooting a random issue with my car and even though this is not the issue, I must say, this is a well produced video….very inspiring for my own content. Great job man.
Change the high pressure switch also. There’s 2 switches on the system.
I love that there is a GM favored channel on YT that aligns with my shared ideals of longevity and maintenance over replacement. You are doing a good thing, and I wanted to take the time to thank you for your content.
Dude I drive the same car as you and you have been saving my life with all your niche issues and fixes
I wish I would have seen this video 5 months ago. I replace my ac compressor and after 1 month it would have same problems you described. I replace the switch and problem solve.
YOUR THE BEST I COULDN'T RECHARGE THE SYSTEM BECAUSE THE CYCLING SWITCH WAS CAUSING IT TO GO ON AND OFF THROWING OFF THE CHARGE PRESSURE I REPLACED THE SWITCH AND COMPRESSOR STAYED RUNNING AND ALLOWED ME TO FULLY FILL THE SYSTEM AND WALLA!! ❄️❄️🥶🥶🥶🥶❄️❄️❄️👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 FEELS LIKE ALASKA IN HERE!!!! THANKS AGAIN I DEFINITELY SUBBED AND HIT THAT👍!
I’d like to say for a guy who’s not a mechanic. Your presentation is perfect! I haven’t applied your suggestion yet, but even if it turns out to something else. Your convenes is super logical Simply put,Thank you! I will be following you!
I have a 2008 Silverado with 85K and I’m having the same issue with my A/C. I’m gonna try this repair. Thanks Jimmy!
Your vehicle may have a pressure transducer
@@paullaird7944 Turns out it was a faulty canooter valve
@@Tablesaw818 whats a coonoter valve??
Tablesaw818 do you mean canister valve ?
@@Tablesaw818 i love how nobody got your joke… but in all seriousness, did it fix it…???
I've had issues on my '02 Blazer with the low side Schrader port sticking open, causing me to loose full charge. On the car's I've owned I've never had a pressure switch fail (I'm sure now that I've said that it'll fail lol). Good to know you can just unscrew those, I've always thought you had to vacuum the refrigerant and then replace it, vacuum the system down and then fill it back up, but this is good to know for the future!
You do have to remove all the freon replace the part then vacuum the system down and recharge on most vehicles. His vehicle is probably the only one I've seen like that.
Obviously not all vehicles are the same.
@@MN2_Kevin_Hill_1970 no you don't not on most cars you do it just like he just did on his what kind of car do you have so I don't buy one of those 😂👍
I have mazda3. I couldn't change the switch because the freon was coming out. Not that easy.
So for anybody reading this later, they're talking about systems that don't have a Schrader valve. You should absolutely check if your ac system specifically has a Schrader valve before doing this yourself because in some cars you do need to evacuate all of the refrigerant and recharge it after, because it will escape if it doesn't have a valve. It's not only in new vehicles but different manufacturers started putting them in in different years. Do your research and be mindful that I think they can be added on to some systems, and there are similar valves on other parts of some cars, so finding a replacement valve doesn't guarantee your CURRENT **ac** system has one installed. It is not at the end of the world if you make a mistake and refrigerant escapes, but it's really bad for the environment (and therefore YOU) so if you are wrong just move away from the car and return after it leaks out. I do not recommend doing this without breathing and eye protection personally just Incase, but that's me having family and friends in HVAC and knowing little enough about cars to be cautious.
A good way to verify it’s the pressure switch is to take a wire and touch the 2 pins on the connector on the ac pressure switch harness. If your clutch starts working again you know the switch is bad.
If you do that and u got pressure on the system and nothing happens? I got the climate control module blinking 3 times and then nothing happens
I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 140000 on her and mine was doing the same thing after doing some homework I decided to replace the actuator door being my truck only has 1 and the part was cheap as well but so far that seemed to fix the issue.
I wanted to also add when this problem would a cure I found that turning the motor off and restarting the motor the problem went away and my ac would work again but now since the new part is in all is good .
Was your ac making a clicking noise as well? I have a 04 Tahoe that occasionally blows hot air on the driver's side.
@@paulieglockzz actually I'm not sure but it did seem like the ac compressor was still running but no cold air just hot air when this problem would acur.
I think you should have checked the clutch or relay. This parts cannon video isn’t the end of the saga. Guaranteed.
If clutch cycles on and off it’s a good sign the Freon is low small amounts do leak out over time. If nothing happens but the clutch works jumping out the clutch relay then it’s probably a bad AC pressure switch the PCM won’t ground the clutch relay or the cooling fans relays if the pressure switch isn’t sending out the voltage the pcm wants to see
Thanks man, any cheap things that we can do ourselves really helps🇺🇲💙🇺🇲
Thanks for the video. After 407,000 my relay went out. I was really thinking it was going to be something much more involved given the mileage and everything being original. AC will make you want to put a sweater on now. 😎
Informative would be good to know other systems it controls especially if more than pln connectors ie a cooling fan
FIRST! 😂🤙🏼👍🏼
Great vids and channel for the fact that you have an 03 suburban like I do! It seems like we’re having the same issues. Keep’em coming and you ain’t missin nothing over here in Cali but POLITICS & HIGH PRICES!
I have a 2007 beautiful almost show room, fresh steel, Cadillac, CTS with a 3.6 engine. I’ve had it now for eight years or so and the AC has never needed serviced or even touched. It has always been ice cold! Until recently now it won’t turn on. I push the button to turn it on it flashes two or three times and stays off. I don’t know why it won’t turn on now. I wonder if this could be the issue with that also??
Yeeeeessss! This has been my exact issue in my 04 2500 HD. Will be trying this soon to see if the random crazy ass hot air that is completely random stops.
I've fold the problem of cycling on and off is usually because the system is low on charge. The pressure sensor is telling it to turn off.
Now ever time I turn on the AC I do get cold air. I think the fix worked. It's already cool weather where I'm at - so kind of hard to tell. I'll keep you updated but so far very promising.
I had this problem when the vehicle was idling in 100 degree weather , cuts off and on and off ect.
Not sure if its because of that part or because these vehicles were not made to cool off the cabin in extremes temps at idle
@@fargeeks what was the problem? Did you ever fix it? Let me know please thanks.
Excellent video and information. Thank you for sharing it 👍
Thanks like your Chanel. my daily driver work truck is 1999 2500 sub. Runs like a champ, odometer just hit 200.000 Of course, i've replaced just about everything under the hood Spider injectors Radiator alnator starter. Replaced head gaskets. Had the heads machine, new valves, valve seats
My wife's car is 06 envoy .I'm having Similar problem
Had similar problems that you've had with both vehicles so can relate. Thanks much for your time and efforts
I'm having the same problem with my 2001 Ram 1500. Thank you for making this video.
Note: I have Sweetwater stickers on my filing cabinets like your toolbox has. 😀
Did this solve your issue? I have a 2019 ram 1500 and it's now blowing hot air at all!
@@dabeersboys I was only able to find a high pressure switch (mounts above engine), but could find no one that had a low side switch (mounts similar to one in video). It's been a year, so I should try to locate one, again. Replacing the one switch didn't solve the problem. I suspect it's the low side switch that's acting up. For the first 10 minutes while outside temperature is high, it cools properly, then air gets hot out of AC vents. On an overcast, cool day, (or on a cool night), the AC runs perfectly, never starts blowing hot air. So I believe it's a switch related problem; the unit makes very cold air when it keeps running.
@garycook5125 awesome. I was looking at mine and I was only able to find the one. When facing the truck, left front side. When I search for parts online there is only the one part that shows up. So if there is two, they must be the same part.
Mine does not blow cold ever. Good luck! I for some reason read 2021. Not 2001!
@@dabeersboys Yes, your newer model is probably different. After responding to you this morning, I located one (only one), low side switch at an AutoZone in town. My wife picked it up, and I'll install it tomorrow. This problem has plagued me since 2007 (I've been too tolerant). I'm pretty anxious to see if it works. One question: does your AC clutch (on the front of the compressor), engage when you turn the AC on?
@@garycook5125 mine is not. :(
Great video, thanx.
I have Impala 2015 and I almost face the same issue maybe. No gas leackage found, but the compressor goes off for a very long time then its on again and off again, so annoying. This only happens in summer, but I noticed no issues in winter time? Do you think the pressure switch can resolve the problem? Some the videos suggested replacing the control valve of the compressor. . Any suggestions ?
Same issue with my impala
Did you found the issue and fix it?
@@thelastbanana0678 Not yet. I need to take my car to an a/c service workshop, but driving in this heat without a cool a/c is another story 😧. Will try to go today maybe.
@@adelalaiwi I will change this pressure sensor If it work then it's good if not I will change the AC control valve it's do the same symptoms
@@thelastbanana0678 yes I totally agree with you, those two parts are the main cause of such problems. Let them check level of the Gas (freon), it causes similar issues when its high or low. All the best bro.
Well spoken video
Just have a question for you, did you test the old low pressure switch and compare it to the new one? can you test the component?? please help me out. Thanks!!!!
Hi sir. The high pressure switch should be close when checking by multimeter . But my dodge caravan 1999 bought 5 high pressure sensor still not working. .check it by multimeter had 6 thousand ohms even thought put on compressor air does it is wrong part ? Thank
Great insights! My chevy spark auto climate ac only blows cool air when blower is set to 1 and 2, post 2 the compressor disengages and obviously only blows hot air. Could you please help me with this situation? I have already changed blower resister controller, no luck
The Ac Snowflake Button is of also.. That could have been and issue also. Good Video
was your AC fan still working when you had old pressure switch. My problem with AC on idle seems to be almost the same but my fan isn`t spinning until I give blades a bit of a push and when fan starts the AC stays switched ON and working fine so I am not sure whether AC pressure switch controls both fan and AC clutch?
I don't know which to change this sensor or ac selenied the issue with my2015 Chevy impala when ever I stop at traffic light or road traffic or even if I hit the break little hard the AC switch off and the fan is running it high speed then it start to blow normal air and humidity is like hell but when I drive in high way It cold as good as it should be
Many pp recommended to change compressor selenied and after this video it make me confused
I replaced the part and tried adding some Freon but the ac pressure gauge would go from red to blue, up and down. This time it blew somewhat warm air but not hot air like before. I already replaced the high side valve as well. I’m hoping I put the Freon in correctly
BAM! This fixed my issue. Thank you. 🎉
I pray that u have solved my problem. I have the EXACT same problem,(2010 chevy express) I replaced the low side years ago, now it randomly burst the refridgerant out of the compressor valve.. and I've literally replaced everything else and blew out the lines. but I don't get ANY pressure on the high side when I put gauges on it. just replaced high side switch and it's working again,......well see tomorrow
Wise man GM is hell for that
Hi, mine is Ford Fiesta 2011, 1.6S with 20,000KM on it. Lately, I noticed that the AC compressor is not cycling off at all whenever i turn on the AC.
Do u have any suggestion what to suspect ? I live in Indonesia with outside temp is like 30-35 degC. Thx
2oo7 Chevy uplander.Does the compressor have a check valve to stop freon from leaking when chaneching the low side swich?
Well, I like simple Solutions and even more of they are a cheap ones!. I have a liberty Kj and I changed that a/c cycling switch 4 years ago....i had the same symptoms than your truck. Two weeks ago I'm facing the same problem.... So, i will have it changed again.
Would live to receive more of your videos. They are great😊
Thanks. My car would work fine below 85 degrees outside but when above 85 degrees ac would blow hot air and cut off compressor. High pressure switch.
That’s how mine does exactly when it below 85 works fine when it’s 90° and stuff like that it doesn’t work. I’m gonna try to fix tonight. Thank you.
Was it the low pressure side switch or high pressure side?
There's a 50/50 chance replacing either pressure switch will fix your issue.
Being a maintenance/ tech myself, I highly urge you to test the system and components first rather than throwing parts at it. Trust me, I've seen many ppl throwing parts on left and right and still not fix their issue, essentially, throwing money in the trash can...
I could not agree with you more on the proactive repairs! Parts for my 89 Silverado are cheap and it is very easy to work on.
I have the SAME problem on my TB air conditioning - and previously we had the fan clutch replaced - and it didn't fix the problem. I think local mechanics just replace an obvious part. Anyway I just ordered this part locally - it's more expensive - but Amazon is just too hard on its workers. Also I'll get this sooner. I'll let you know if it works. All I know is my A/C works sometimes and then just starts blowing hot air - very very annoying!! thanks
had this problem when the vehicle was idling in 100 degree weather , cuts off and on and off ect.
Not sure if its because of that part or because these vehicles were not made to cool off the cabin in extremes temps at idle
This guy never let us know if it worked. RIP
@@ninjaguyYT Funny - it's not hot often where I live - just so happens I noticed the same problem. Works whenever it wants to. So I researched the TB - lots of people have the same problem. The AC "works when it wants to." Hilarious. I replaced the part indeed. Oh well.
@@voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 well, I bought a new transducer for my 18 year old Jeep, that should be arriving in 3 days. I'm probably going to forget to report whether it works. But I'm feeling like it won't. The old one was pretty loose and it didn't appear rusted or damaged. I screwed it back in easily (also I didn't feel it squirt any refrigerant out).
@@ninjaguyYT I hope it works for you! I'm slowly learning about my AC "system" - since both the dealer and local mechanic claimed they fixed it (each charging $1K) - and the SAME result - it turns off pretty fast and blows hots air. They all claim it "works." hahah. I realized that whatever repair - the PCM has to be "refreshed" or updated or whatever and no one has ever done that yet. So that obviously needs to be done but I don't really want to convince the dealer that this is crucial. I even had a former GM Mechanic tell me that they always updated the PCM to any AC repair. But GM sent out a technical notice that basically canceled the previous need to update the PCM. It was kind of like - "don't worry about this anymore." Not sure why they did that. It could be some kind of warranty ran out deal. Like if the customer's AC breaks they're on their own to figure out how to fix it. haha. The more the deal can keep doing "parts replacement" without actually fixing it - the more money rolls in.
Does that cause the check engine light to come on if that switch is bad?
I have a question, hopefully you can and willing to. I have an 06 saturn relay its a minivan, a/c blows but car wont go, also makes a clanking noise when you first turn a/c on. I am trying to learn how to do more and more on my own. Thank you
Thank you man! It’s not working great 👍🏻
Thanks a lot 👍
Jimmy what camera do u use? Your vids look very clear. Thanks for sharing
My sierra wont get cold while at highway speeds, granted its hot here in az. but it did eventually get cooler when I got down to 30mph and if just in town driving it wont get cool enough.
I like this guy, I’m subscribing 👍
Is that the same part number for the 1995 Suburban? I have a '96 and think I need that. What specific O Ring did you use?
Nah, I've always ended up with the right pressure in my system, but no cold air.
So I know it doesn't need a recharger. I think there is blockage somewhere or I may just need a new compressor.
2007 Lancer es.
If anyone can think of whatever else it. Advice is always welcomed.
There is a restrictor in the line with a super fine mesh screen. There are 2 types these days, an expansion valve, and an orifice tube with a screen. If those get stopped up, which is common on higher mileage cars, they block the line and need to be changed.
A shop can diagnose it easy. Put the gauges on and tell you exactly what it’s doing. Finding an honest shop is the hardest part.
They sell a complete kit, which is my preferred way to go. Compressor, drier, orifice tube , oil. I do my own because I have the gauges , pump and and everything. You can change all the parts then take it to be vacuumed and charged. Then you’re all new.
@@megastick9324 thanks. I work at a shop so I have the resources to fix it. I just had no idea hownto diagnos it.
Now I just need to find the time to bring MY own car in. And I'm still learning alot. I'll look into it. Thanks again🙂
So is the high pressure switch the one on the back of the compressor that's held in with a snap ring?
Nice job Jimmy.👍👍
Thank you for this video. I ended up getting a Napa brand pressure switch because they were out of the genuine GM part, had to buy O-ring separately but no big deal.
wht size o-ring was it
I have this problem currently on my 08 Envoy. Before finding your video, I replaced the low pressure switch. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem. I honestly believe it's the high pressure switch and I am having problems locating it under my hood. I was hoping your video would have at least covered the location of the second switch ad it was mentioned in the video that if replacing the first could possibly not fix the problem. Any advice as to where I can find a diagram or a picture of the location to help me out? Thanks in advance.
I know it’s been a few months but I’ll respond to your question.
It’s usually down on the refrigerant discharge line pretty close to the compressor. That line goes straight from the compressor to the condenser coil in front of the engine radiator. Some have only 2 wires like the low pressure switch in this video. Some of them have 3 wires and are called a pressure Transducer. Transducers convert a pressure reading into a low voltage electrical signal that a computer can read. The HVAC head unit or controls have the “computer brain” as part of that piece. So it decides based on a number of temperature and pressure readings how to keep the HVAC system running close to the temperature you set it to. Those have same the simple to replace design with the valve core inside the pressure fitting that it mounts to and O ring to seal up leaks.
Hey hey buddy, I’m having severe issues with my truck. It’s a 2010 Chevy Silverado. It has no low pressure switch on the Cannes. I can’t find a low pressure switch but my high pressure switch is coming off the compressor off the small line it might be the same thing for your envoy because the years run similar check there takeoff your passenger front tire, takeoff the fender wheel well and you’ll see the sensor right there. That’s how it is on my truck.
When the ac was not working. Did it make the fan stop working as well when it comes on with the ac?
lol, when you said "let's turn on the air conditioning, it's on" it was actually off.
Would replacing that part also fix an a/c blower that's stays ON even after truck is off
In my Corolla it was a bad radiator fan. You hit a bump or give it a manual spin and it would start turning and the AC would kick on… even if it was barely turning. Driving would move enough air to make things ice cold, at least until you stopped.
Thank you so much for the video. I have an 04 trailblazer when I have the AC on it stalls out at traffic lights. Somebody told me to replace the switches that you were talking about. What do you think?only stalls out when the AC is on
I have (or had) that exact same issue w the exact same vehicle. "Oil pressure low. Please turn off vehicle." on the dash?? I dug and dug trying to find the problem. Eventually an O2 sensor crapped out and went into limp mode. Since replacing that I haven't had it stall out. But, I don't think it was the root cause. It still drives sluggishly and doesn't get very good acceleration.
Also had to replace a low beam headlight relay around that time.
One thing I found was the oil pressure sending unit, which is just a little screw on piece, but requires a specialty socket. I never did figure out what might have been causing it. I think I have a ground fault or a bad fuse somewhere. Almost every time I turn it off there's a buzzing noise coming from the OnStar speaker next to the driver side door. And my AC is out now after getting it charged and tested for $160 two weeks ago...
Did you ever figure out what was causing yours to stall? Mine frequently stalled while sitting in park, in reverse leaving a parking spot, or right as the light turned green lol. Commonly, but not always with the AC on.
@@terrapinflyer273 my low beam, headlight relay blows that once a year AutoZone by the first one for replacements, as far as the stalling out, it did have to be last week and get stuck in the middle of the street towed it to my buddies come to find out the battery terminal leads I guess a little screws, and all the cables to the battery were stripped. I’m not making a very good contact since I replace them it runs like a top. I don’t know if that was a problem but it’s running pretty good right now.
Correction. It stalled out again today
Okay I have a 2016 GMC Chevy van my question is my Freon leaked out I seen it leak out so I went and I bought some sealants and more freon to put in there I bought the two cans with the gauge on it so I put them both in there and everything was great for a day and then in the morning I was sitting waiting idling and the same thing happened I seen it leak out I could see the liquid or the mist and that was that now believe it or not it is still cool in my van pretty cool my question is why is this happening any advice would be grateful thank you

I have an 01 marquis, my accumulator cylinder is similar to this gm. I recently swapped everything and hoses but the switch as I lost the new one I ordered. I recently charged it, pressure held for less than 30 min. I checked the lines and they are tight.
Bought another can of r134a, charged it, drove it, checked the engine. I heard hissing by the accumulatior and noticed a spray leak where the switch bolts on, I checked for tightness which is t was, then removed it- hissing stopped.
Im quite sure I isolated the leak to a $15 cycle switch which comes as a relief. Im ordering another.
My compressor is good still as it kicks on and off with varying pressure.
My question is:
How common is a refridgerant leak from the cycle switch?
Do I need to evacuate refrigerant first before I remove pressure switch on 2005 equinox ?
Yeah, not very useful for what I'm trying to figure out on my 99 silverado. I've replaced the pressure switch on the low site more than once and I still have the on and off cycling of the compressor
Have you checked to make sure you have enough freon? Seems like a dumb question, but you never know until you check. Have you changed the high pressure switch?
I have a 98 GMC Yukon with no ac no nothing, it has 346,000 on it but she still runs good

Jimmy...you would think one of the monitors of the OBD2 platform would trigger a DTC.....is that possible for your vehicle?
Thanks so much. I just swapped this switch out, and it seems to have fixed it.
It would have been helpful if you said which sensor you replaced, the high side or low side.
Just a FYI for everybody not all pressure switches have a Schrader valve and may need to be evaluated before and recharged after repair.

Lmao wish I had known this before.
OK I looked it up - first the local mechanic replaced the fan clutch. But I had the SAME AC problem of it shutting off fairly soon. I was hauling fresh fruit for a job so I HAD to have AC. So then the Dealer checked out the AC - and found the low pressure and high pressure was good. So they replaced the fan clutch AGAIN claiming that an OEM part was needed. NO PCM update was done even though there was TSB previously for a needed PCM updated if the fan clutch is replaced. Same problem happened again - AC works and then turns off. So I'm the first one to replace the low pressure sensor!! Wow. I'll see if it fixes the problem. thanks again. Time to test it out.
had this problem when the vehicle was idling in 100 degree weather , cuts off and on and off ect.
Not sure if its because of that part or because these vehicles were not made to cool off the cabin in extremes temps at idle
What transmission does the suburban have? How does it shift and any maintenance done on it?
Suburbans are all 5 speed manual transmissions......
I’m hoping you can answer my question. My AC does do what you said on this video. But it also has a squeal when I shut off the car. And no one can tell me what it is. And it only makes the Squealing noise when the AC is on. Helppp plz.
Great video. I replaced the low pressure switch, but this did not seem to solve the problem. Where is the high pressure switch located, and can I replace that?
You "can" replace both but they're not always both accessible/easy to reach. Find what your replacement switches both look like; they usually both have round silver hookups and the rest is black. typically the black portion on one is flatter and elliptical/rectangular (in my case low), and the other is circular (in my case high).
I have high pitched squeal that gets louder when I accelerate. The sound is only present when I turn the accelerate on. I've justreplaced the belt and alternator on my pontiac g6. Do you know what it might be?
check for a small child caught up under the engine....
thank you for posting this stuff!!
I have a 2014 Chevy silverado 1500. I have code P0532. What should I be looking for. My air conditioner doesn't get cold, and the fan on the motor is loud . My gouges look normal and don't show signs of overheating.
Should I have to switch the refrigerant pressure sensor?
You can also jump the switch wire to check the circuit
Thanks for this tip Paul . This saved me a trip to the Mechanic and I diagnosed it myself .
I jumped the wire and the ac works but when I plug it in the ac doesn’t work. What should I be looking at next?
Did u replace only one ? Why did you only replace one and not both ?
Red are completely rebuilt all of our vehicles because we are overlanders and live in our van, that means the transmission, the differentials, transfer case, all the sensors, fuel pump, fuel injectors, we also carry an extra battery and fluids and make sure that we have the tools that fitbit's Vehicles make and model! Later this year we are replacing our Engine with 247000 miles on it like we have with the rest of them
Do you know what trim level your Envoy is? Btw I drive an Envoy with 315,000 miles and it still runs strong.
05 ENVOY Xl SLE, 222000 daily driver work TRUCK. the motor not the dash tells me when to change oil. 3000 miles avg.i begin to think it's finally going to have problems cause it doesn't feel right , no light or codes. Change oil and the doesn't feel right goes away. Just typical maintenance on high milage vehicle. No where near the Tahoe nightmare previous daily driver when wasn't working on it.
My pos trailblazer been making this dumb noise like the ac compressor kicking on and off 2x a second randomly when idling . Maybe when driving too just can’t hear it over that pos fan clutch manual fan
Nice thank you for the information ♥️
Do you still have your suburban???
My 2012 Camaro work at idle but only sometimes at high speed, what could me causing that problem? Already checked the freon levels and they are good
