I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado blower wasn’t working This guy told me to look under my dash and mess with the wire and now I have ice cold A/c 👍🏻 thanks man
Just did the fix, your video helped more than any other. Was able to see the point letters to the corresponding wire color, and found out the fuses were bad aswell. Almost dropped another 300 on a blower motor and control switch. You saved me $300 🤘
Thank you so very much. As a Single Woman, this helps me tremendously. :) I didn't even know about the side fuse panel lol. I'll be heading to NAPA soon. :) Hoping it's just the fuses and I can get back my 60 bucks for the Blower motor resistor kit I just picked up. Mine blows on 5 and only on 5.
Glad I found your video on this I changed the relay and controls and it still would not work on 5 I just gave up and been driving for almost two years with it not working
Cool! Was able to get on the road again after blower motor relay issue. Just by pulling the front hvac fuse! Now I can drive to the shop without being towed. Thank you!!!!!
I had no AC and blower, so after checking the fuses and the relay, I went to the blower connection. I wiggled it, and the AC came alive. Thanks for your help, as you saved me hours of frustration.
my Level 5 stopped working.. After watching you video and confirming the fuse was good an then tapping on the relay, level 5 is WORKING. thanks. may have been loose or its going out. I'll pick up a new relay. Huge thanks
Hell yeah. That 30 amp fuse is exactly what was mining. Brand new resistor and connector. Fan works. But #5 don't work. I knew something simple was all it was.
Thank you very well explained , it was put together well, i would say professionally . I will be subscribing to you just in case you have something else . I haven't even looked at your channel so just going on how this was done . Good job sir
THANK YOU i just replaced my blower motor resistor i had 3 and 4 and when i fixed i had 1-4 and no 5 so thanks alot someone replaced it with 10 amp fuse
I have a 2002 Chevy 1500 Silverado regular cab wth a V6. It has basic AC no automatic temp control or rear controls.. I have changed my blower motor resistor 2x. The ac works only on high (off-4) and off on 5.
Check the condition of the harness before assuming it is the blower motor relay. As the 7 pin harness is prone to scorching and melting on the positive and negative pins G/E, the two thicker wires (G=red, mine was orange and E=black) G does not stand for ground. Make note of the color order, as if you trim the old harness to short off, the Red/orange and Black will both look Black, due to the scorching. I mixed those two wires incorrectly the first time, and when I went to turn the blower on with the key I got nothing, but without the key in the ignition if the blower dial was turned the headlights would go on and the fan would turn on in the high position. That got me really confused, all good now that the wires are in the correct sequence.
Thanks so much. My blower motor was stuck on, and I watched u and first pulled the cargo 25 Amp no go kept running under the hood main fuse block pulled the 30 you pointed out it off the truck sat for over three year's when I tuned it on yesterday the blower definitely has debri in it believe me I had many kicks in the rear but I finally got it running but I have many things to ask and yes about to subscribe to your channel so happy I came across you today a blessing in disguise for sure the passenger window went down pulled the switches cleaned both sides still inop today go out and looking n trying to find why would this effect the drivers window it makes no sense well accidentally I touch the passenger switch on the drivers side the passenger window is working now so I need too dig further and maybe need more cleaning on the master switch but yes it stopped working I think a little after the passenger side but thanks so much Chris Campbell God bless you ❤
I am so happy that you popped up on my I pad. I was never a Chevrolet technician at all but turned wrenches for Toyota for ten years. I purchased this from my friend, but it sat three years before I purchased it, and yes I subscribed to your channel so fast but so pleased with your knowledge the reason I bought it was because trying my best for us to live in a decent house n yes it's been hard but I know God has definitely helped me God bless you and your family n friends. Chris Campbell.
The drivers window was working fine. The passenger had too much play clean the master switch and passenger and lubricated 5he passenger side it working but after 4 to 6 time's it needs help or let the motor cool down alot of play installing a new regulator n motor on passenger but needles to say the driver side inopnstuck up position I can't remember if this took place before I cleaned the switch so I will cut me a jumper and see if I can get it to move if it does it would point me towards the switch the blower motor thinking a relay possibly because like stated before when I powered it up I could here so much debri in the blower shut it down immediately with the switch went no further but starting it 3 day's later and it was on full speed and that's when you leaded me to the 30 Amp I believe because the first one did nothing waiting on my check on the 3rd to pursue thanks so much will always continue to follow you.
Blower motor dislodged from faulty install, with 5 not working. I tried replacing the thermoresistor, then the hvac switch, then read the damn manual. Thanks for saving me time looking for the fuse.
changed cabin filters pulled blower clean for any debris. Put it all back together no high speed #5. changed 30 amp fuse like shown ......purred like kitten.
I had same problem. Tapped on HVAC relay that fixed it. You can text by swapping horn and HVAC relay. Im going to buy a new relay for $10 since mine is probably going out
Hey great video, My blower was not working, I slapped on it pretty hard and it immediately started working. I take it this means that the blower is going out?
Great video!! I have a 2003 Silverado Duramax. I clipped the power and ground together when replacing my blower motor resistor with the key off. Now I have no power to the resistor with key on. Fuses checked out good. Any thoughts?
I have a 2000 model Have replaced the motor and resistor Checked the all the fuses you suggested Still nothing happens when I try to turn it on Suggestion?
2000 suburban 1500 Fan works on all settings but lowest and the mode knob doesn't work so it only blows from front vents. Checked all fuses. Tried new control panel. Same problems. Would I target the relay next? Thank you for the great videos!
Hello I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe I have checked both fuses that you have pointed out no matter what I don’t have power on the bigger orange wire at the resister but I have power in that orange wire that’s right next to it if you have any information that might help that would be great thank you
My battery just died and now the blower doesn't blow through the front vents, only the floor and windshield. Do you think that's a fuse / relay / resistor, or is it a blower issue?
Thank you!!! This was very helpful for me😁going to check fuse rn and hoping its just the fuse, now that I know it is what runs the 1,2,3,4, fan speeds:). (My 1-4 speeds don’t work) #Staysafe #thankyou
Mines the next gen of trucks. It started surging, cutting off, or completely not running for hours. I replaced the resistor and the blower motor and it’s still doing the same. I can’t find anything on the problem I’m experiencing
I had this happen on my 2003 2500HD. It was the resistor by the blower motor getting hot. It was touching the dash. I flipped the resistor around, so it is exposed in the passenger side. I just tell all my passengers not to accidentally kick it.
I have a blower motor not working. I have replaced the resistor, checked the motor and it works, all fuses are good, is there a relay located somewhere other than fuse box? I have a 2005 avalanche.
Not sure where to start. I have a 2001 Chevy 2500 HD truck. The heater stopped working. If you direct wire the blower it will work and heat the truck. So I replaced the resister that plugs into the blower. It didn't work at first then it started to work. Oh I also replaced the switch panel also. A day later it is not working again. I am not sure where to go from here. Could suggest were to look now.
Need help have a 02 Yukon and went to look at resistor and its missing and so are the seven wires that run from the resistor to up under the dash can't find them any ideas! Almost like someone took them out
Not getting power to the 30 amp fuse in my cab. I recently had to change my climate control module and the wire plug to the heater it burnt out and now nothing and when I check fuse they not blown but there’s no power to it but there’s power to the resistor from the battery. Any suggestions?
Your video was helpful but I can’t find my problem. Got out the multimeter It has power at the plug to the motor, 1-4 works 5 does not work. 1-5 all supply power to the motor but the motor does not work in position 5 I’m lost
what would you say the problem is, if all the vents and ac are working perfectly, all except the main front vents? I have an 02 avalanche and the back seat vents, defroster area, and down by the feet all work perfectly.... cant figure out why the main front vents dont work. I need the air blowing in m face ! Its 112 out here in California. Thanks
I got an 01 mine has been stopping o bumped it and it would go 5days later I can't get it to do anything now so I'm guessing maybe the blower motor is gone out all my fuses are good idk about the relay tho it could be bad also
I have a 2005 gmc envoy and i have no power in setting 5. I have power to all speeds at the harness and a good ground on the harness. When i plug in the harness to the resistor it works on all speeds except 5. I can hear it click when switching to 5 and it kills the power to the fan. Even used an external 12v battery to power the orange ( #5 power wire) and the ground wire using another harness off of another vehicle and it still makes the resistor click and no power to the fan. I Changed the resistor twice and no luck.
Same problem here. no power on position 5, ....scratching my head. checked all fuses & relays. Mine does the exact same thing, no burn marks on pin connectors, pos 5 pin has power from selector switch... but no output power to motor, checked for voltage & test light. All other positions have power to motor. Even tried 3 different new resistors with same results. Very strange
I haven't had the chance to pull the connection and do a voltage test on the wiring, but what do you think would cause the blower motor to work on every setting except 4?
Right! Mine's doesn't have power on 5. I used a simple test light thingamajig to test 1-4 and the test light lit up except on 5. Later I noticed the black ground wire that connects to the resistor get real hot and began to melt. Any reason(s) why the ground wire began to get very hot?
Yeah I got a 2000 Silverado that one through four work but five doesn't and the 30 amp under the dash is fine... Just replaced the resistor and don't know what else to do
I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD and I get plenty of air, it’s just not warm or hot and I have checked all the fuses etc. and still don’t know what the problem is

Straight to the point no music video's or explosions. nice video I really appreciate it 👍
Wow! This video fixed and educated me on a problem I’ve had for 8 years. I was able to fix everything from this one video.
Super helpful thank you
The fuse in the interior was the solution to my problem, thanks for making this videos!!!
Mine blows on 5 and only on 5.
instaBlaster
Thanks all it was , a fuse, looking for prices for the blower already , you saved me 50 bucks at least with your video, have a great weekend
Really nice quick breakdown of system, fixed my issue in like 3 minutes. Thanks
Glad I found your video on this I changed the relay and controls and it still would not work on 5 I just gave up and been driving for almost two years with it not working
Very nicely done ! Straight to it , and precise .🤘
After checking all fuses (all good).. wacked it a few times it started right up. Thanks
You saved my life
Had to wack it and i was like damn it didnt work and boom turns on
Cool! Was able to get on the road again after blower motor relay issue. Just by pulling the front hvac fuse! Now I can drive to the shop without being towed. Thank you!!!!!
Very helpful thank you blower quit on me today driving in a snow storm lol
I had no AC and blower, so after checking the fuses and the relay, I went to the blower connection.
I wiggled it, and the AC came alive.

Yes this was very useful, I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 .Thank you for sharing this video
YES! My buddys truck, I had the rare opportunity to film some stuff with it.
Ya I drop the resister out and and I can’t get the black and red off , but it is hanging down and the fan works again lol
2000 silverado, your trick to tap the motor worked! Thanks
Thanks for explaining the function of the two different fuses. Really helps narrow down the problem. Xlnt video.
That last tip about hitting it helped me, wasn't working on any speed.
Chart for 2006 2500hd says that 25a fuse is the "WS WPR". One clomumn to the left and 2nd(30a) and 3rd(10a) are "HTR/AC" and "HVAC1" respectively
Very clear and straight forward. Great video thank you.

Thanks! This was very helpful and straight to the point!
You answered every question I had. Thank you bro.
A good ol smack on the blower fixed it for me haha.

Good understandable video, and good information. thank you, your a good dude for posting.
Any idea what would keep the lower fan settings from working? It only works on number five which is high.
changed cabin filters pulled blower clean for any debris. Put it all back together no high speed #5. changed 30 amp fuse like shown ......purred like kitten.
Very helpful!
thank you very much for you video solve my problem
I had to replace that relay one and that was a pain in my 03 model. Now fan quit again - hoping it’s fuses
Awesome !!!!! Just what i needed.
Thanks for this. Much appreciated.
Great video fixed one of my issues.
What would you do if number five setting still didn’t work after fuse check

Very helpful
So all my fan speeds work except for four and I'll turn it to four and sometimes It will turn on and then just cut off do you know why
Hey mine will not unclip at all it's like the wires are melted...it's an aftermarket relay are they notorious for these problems?

Possible blockage in your vent hose that feeds your front vents . Not a mechanic just a guess

Yeah I got a 2000 Silverado that one through four work but five doesn't and the 30 amp under the dash is fine... Just replaced the resistor and don't know what else to do
Thanks
👍👍 great info
I tried all that but my truck just won’t blow heat or it doesn’t get hot at all it’s driving me crazy
My heater is stuck on the vent and Lee it will not switch over to defrost or the floor what's causing this
Thank you.
mine stoped working on the 5 speed and have replaced everything and still no 5 fan speed?? please help
Ty sir 🙏
I tapped the blower and it blows now but only on settings 4 and 5.
What if my blower is not receiving power and ground ?
Thank you good look
When checking the fuse, do you need to disconnect the battery?
No
my 2003 ext xab silverado blows just hot air it works but has no colf air what can be my issue?
Blend door
I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD and I get plenty of air, it’s just not warm or hot and I have checked all the fuses etc. and still don’t know what the problem is
What engine do you have and is your coolant level low?
@@LehewTech I'm not sure of the engine details...only have had this for 1 year...I am an electrician, so I manage to fix most stuff, including my truck, which in fact I did so today, just after leaving you my comment! @@UR2Compliant That’s great! The main cause of no heat is low coolant.
What could be causing a/c fuse 10 to keep blowing
The compressor clutch coil may be shorted to ground.
Thanks you.! 🙏
Yes sir thank you so much for this video. Saved me some money 🫡🫡
Thanks
Thank you.
