Beautiful plane Nate! I also have been watching the FMS stuff lately. I have the FMS pitts as well and love the thing. It was the first bird I ever flew inverted, now im not scared to put any of my planes inverted. I look forward to seeing more of this jet in the future!

The most interesting thing i experience when i fly, is the fact that even though there is no physical contact with the plane itself, you can still feel it in your hands.
With 2022 being the year of the Freewing F-22 80mm, Eflite Viper 90mm, FMS Bae Hawk, Futura v3 and their big a-10, the Futura is the one with the most flights and most trips to the field.
Last Sunday I had the Futura, Viper and big a-10 at the field and I have to admit, most enjoyable, stress-free day in my accident prone 8 year career.

Just got mine in, awesome looking plane. I'll be using 5000mAh LiPos. I'm also looking at eventually upgrading it to 8s....145-150 mph. Did a lot of reading on this model and no bad habits really to report. Very stable. I took the reflex out, great option for beginners to intermediates. Great video and great and evaluation. Cheers

I love the design and the spaceship vibe of the FUTURA, but my question is this. Do you like this FUTURA more than your Viper 90mm? Also, do you know if there's a way to make the navigation lights solid, not blinking?

Just incase anyone's wondering about times and lipo life after flight. I use a smart 4000 50c (600g) on a 3min timer flying mid to hard throttle with 25% left. A smart 5000 100c (700g) and timer at 4 mins with similar left. 4000 is much more fun, verticals are quicker and higher. Half the 4000 is on the wooden tray and half is on the foam. 5000 the first cm sits on the foam the rest is on the wooden tray. The canopy must have its foam carved out to fit these lipos. Easy job. Looks great with an LED burner as the arse is huge and u can see it flickering away. Add some Durbo low bounce as the stock are rock hard. Suspension is brilliant and I only fly off grass fields. Had the V2 which is awesome too. Onto my second v3 and its hands down my best sports jet 80mm class. Goes with me to the field nearly every other time. If u want a scale jet that flies similar get the freewing L39. Perfect jet. Stick an AR631 in there, set up safe and as3x for your flying style and its a cruiser for anyone but agile and fast enough to keep you happy when giving it some.
And just think you could use an SMC 22.2-4400 HV pack that weighs 588 g and get even more runtime and more power
@mindcoach 1on1 can't use a battery only sold in the US when I live elsewhere. Its silly when I watch reviews from certain UA-camrs and they recommended these batteries to their international followers. Very happy with the brands I have. Not wanting to venture into LiHV. Running the futura on 7s and plenty quick enough 👍🏾

No worries! We understand! So far things are going well. Abby is recovering so much better than with Amelia, and Daniel sleeps better than Amelia did, lol. This means that we’re sleeping a little better too! Had a small annoyance with needing some extra blood work done with him, but hopefully that’s all settled down. He eats well, and already starting to put some weight on. We are tired, but happy 😁 And Amelia is a pretty great big sister. Life is definitely harder now, and we’ve had to slow down some, but this house is full of crazy love. Thanks for asking ❤️⚓️

What receiver did you put into your futura ?
I put a spektrum Ar8020T 8 channel in mine ..89.99 .. if you want to be able to turn on and off the reflex gyro you need 7 channels .. if you always want it on then only 6 channels ..

Not sure, but we definitely need to do a speed test on this. If I had to guess, after just one flight, I’d say like 110mph maybe? 👍🤔⚓️

I’m human, and definitely make mistakes. Remember that I fly a LOT of different RCs, which does make it hard to master any one of them. Yeah I stalled on this landing, but admitted it and shared it for the world to see! I think it’s more important for others to see that I’m not perfect, and they shouldn’t expect to be perfect themselves, than to fake perfection.
