Growing Coffee in Containers | Root Pouch

- I'm finally planting the coffee today but I'm going to be growing them in containers! I live in a climate where we get frequent frosts in winter so this is also a bit of an experiment to see how well the coffee trees grow in these conditions (but I'll be providing protection from the frosts).

I don't ever subscribe to anybody because I'm an active UA-cam viewer but no one has really had something worth subscribing too lol until now man, I'm growing watermelons for the 2nd year in a row and it's pretty cool finding other people who enjoy to grow things! Keep up the good work!
Thankyou very much Jesus! Watermelons are fun to grow at home, only done it once myself though. Cheers & have a good one
Thanks Jacob - g'day from Melbourne.
No worries, cheers mate
G’day Jacob from England, I was going to ask for an update on the coffee plants, but you’re already answered it. Better luck next time. Anyway, I shall follow your instructions as I’ve just purchased 6 small plants in a pot and am about to divide them, wish me luck please! I’ve subbed to your channel!👍🏻😀
Cheer Paul! Hope it goes well for you
I grow a coffee in a pot also. We have just moved out pot and it is doing wonderful. Think i might need to give some more food though. I am in Queensland's South east. So we are sub topical. I also have 2 blue berry trees, one is going nuts with fruit. Yay. I even have a raspberry bush. And have had fruit from it. If anyone gives you a peachcot tree take it. They are soooo yummy. Growing broccoli, peas and zucks atm. Oh and some beans and lettuce.
Oh really? How long have you had it for? That's good, yes I've heard that peachcot is really good! Good to hear you're gardens booming!
Cheers Amanda
JacobsBackyardGardening . Have had it for about 3yrs now. But iy is very temperamental. And we had cane bugs in the soil at one stage so had to transplant it. Didnt like that very much. Hope we have a good location for it atm
Awesome! Ah ok, we don't have them down south, but heard they're a big pest! Hope it goes well for you Amanda! Cheers
Please post updates on this plant. Im curious about the progress. Good luck and God bless.
Haha would love to but it probably wouldn't be very long because unfortunately they died, just didn't quite make it through winter, the last one has still got sap in its stems but no leaves, but I'm hoping it re-shoots, although there's no sign of that at the moment. Cheers Henry
@@JacobsBackyardGardening Ugghhh! That sucks! Oh well, it happens😞. Best of luck to the rest of your projects. Try the coffee again come spring time. ☕
Nice one Jacob.
You might want to check your emails too. 😉
Cheers mate
Thanks mate
Hahaha yeah just did before, thanks heaps Rob!
i'ma steal that artichoke it looks tasty
jk but nice grows man, never even thought about growing coffee, is it worth growing at home, or would you say it's like wheat (not really worth growing in a home garden).
What artichoke?
Not sure if its worth it cos I've never grown it before and I'm not gonna get a harvest for a couple of years, so its just an experiment! Cheers mate
after further evaluation, i meant to say I'm stealing your broccoli. Thought it was artichoke lmao
Hahaha right that makes more sense!
