EGO cordless chainsaw. How worthless is it?

Running the chainsaw through some stump just to reveal what it can really do. Its good for shortening logs and limbs. I wouldnt ask it to do much more than that with it.

I made sure to buy the 4 amp battery. Hopefully I'll be happy with it. I just ordered it. It has 80% 5 star reviews on Amazon. I had bought the 16 inch Atlas from Harbor Freight, but I returned it because the chain would come off no matter how tight I had it.

When the battery shows solid red like that it means that the battery is too hot, not completely discharged. I have the 18 inch bar.

I’m cleaning up a 90’ x 250’ wood lot on my 2 acres and my 14” Ego is really handy. I have Stihl and Echo gas saws, I reserve them for felling trees over 6”. The Ego, or any battery chainsaw for that matter, shines up in a tree or clearing out the 3” and all this thicket stuff I have dealt with. How thick of thicket stuff? There were places you could not see one end to the other in some places. Using a battery powered chainsaw to buck firewood is not where these units shine. They cannot produce the rpm a two cycle saw does, nor maintain the run time. So use the right tool for the job at hand and you’ll be happier.

Ive been using mine for firewood literally has saved me so much money in electric bill for this winter and next and next and next ego is the way to go awesome video keep it up!

Seems to work fine, limited only by the battery.

They turn into REAL chainsaws when you put a REAL battery in them. Like a 7.5ah. I run an 8ah and a 12ah in my 24" CSX5000.

Just ordered this saw yesterday. I was torn between the 18" and this new version of the EGO 16". Some reported the 18" bar keeps coming loose because Ego changed the tension system from the old 16" to a new system on the 18". It appears to me from your video that this New Version of the 16" actually has a better tension system than the 18" . Looks like I will be pretty happy with the 16"

Any issues with the oiling system? I read a lot of reviews saying people use the saw for a while and reservoir is still full, burning up chains and bars
