I have an 18" but mine has started to bog down mid cut. Have you ever experienced this? I have to hold the trigger a while sometimes before the chain even moves.
Really good video and review brother! Thats a neat little saw for electric! I hope you and your family had a very blessed thanksgiving! 🤝🤝! Congratulations on your new saw brother
A point seldom if ever mentioned is that the width of the cut is much narrower than most gas chainsaws. This makes the saw bind much easier than other chain saws. I assume the chain is more narrow to reduce cutting power need.
True but it’ll also make it weigh 15lbs. 2.5AH actually last pretty long if your not cutting big stuff as seen in the video. I’d just get more 2.5AH batteries to have handy. They also charge way faster.
@@rctd3260 right I have also lighter batteries for lighter work. Here in Germany you get for every 900€ purchase a 4Ah battery as environmental bonus … since we went all in on Ego 😉 and bought in two waves
Have this same saw man, i aslo have the trimmer and blower and just bought a generic 5 am off amazon and cant wait to try it tomorrow i use mine for firewood
Yes dude ego puts out some epic stuff. I was gonna get the 18” but the 16” had been updated to a “v2”.🤣 I’ve never used electric yard tools and I’ve got a big interest in chainsaws so I thought I’d check it out! Thanks for the feedback!
I like the adjuster on that one I just bought the 18 has the auto chain adjuster which is a cam that rotates on the bar nut. Problem is it makes the chain super tight. It's a one-way cam so all you can do is tighten it also doesn't seem to be enough surface area clamps the bar the entire bar moves up and down a little from a slot. This movement will eventually wear the bar it will move more. Other reviews I seen while sawing constantly loosen and re-tighten the single screw to keep the chain tight. I'm going to return mine I would not buy anything with an auto adjustment chain bar.
@@rctd3260 If your saw is the one in the video it's not like this one mine has no manual adjuster like the one you're showing in the video. The 1804 is what I just got few days ago from Lowes it only has one knob on the side you crank down it pushes the bar forward. I should make a video about this it's hard to explain. Even EGO tells people can loosen the chain by turning it backwards the not true with the design I have. Not sure what is newer from reviews I saw this one is the latest 18" saw. Maybe they did away with the auto adjuster for the newer 16". I just bought a Makita 56CC gas saw going to return this EGO. $400 plus $200 battery more then I wanted to spend, and I don't like this design.

No I have not. The 16 is a newer updated model so maybe that’s why. Also maybe you put too much pressure?
I debated on this or the 18” EGO. I ordered the 18” but I don’t think I need that large of one.
Yeah the 16” is updated too. It’s a great saw.

Aye thanks brother! Appreciate it! Yes I love this electric saw! You too bro!
Nice chainsaw man
Thanks 👍

Makes sense! Thanks for the info and watching!🤙
Get a 7.5Ah Battery. It's a 3P battery and it can draw more power from it. And it runs longer.

I haven’t had that problem. The 16 is actually a newer version. They didn’t update the 18 when they did the 16. I actually really live this saw.
