Do something simple. Like use pokemon that you really like. This way you will have fun and we are going to know you better. And if you choose to do it in a nuzlock mode, it will be more difficult for you when you lost a pokemon!
Interesting to see you experiment with a full playthru in a single video. I think you struck a good balance between your normal laid-back style and condensing all the necessary info in a timely manner. I liked how many pokemon were used that I normally don't see, certainly some that I've never used in a game. Was surprised tho with how many single stage pokemon you ended up using.
Thank you! Yeah I'm not sure how I feel yet about the format and just these types of videos. But I definitely wanted to try it out and see how it went.
In case you didn't know *In this gen mud sport only works while the pokemon who made the move is still on the field, once it faints or gets switched, mud sport goes off*
I had a lot of fun watching this! Doing a hardcore nuzlocke run with the bottom of the barrel pokemon from each route. Quite ambitious, but it very well paid off. I bet it made team building a lot more interesting than the usual run, that's for sure.
Just started my first emerald nuzlocke. Thank you for all your tips and tricks, made a lot. Of notes. Thanks for actually explaining stuff instead of assuming we know everything. Deathless so far but coming straight from a RadicalRed playthrough im missing the poke vial 😂
That was an awesome playthrough! I was really invested in it, those losses at the end hit me hard, and it was amazing to see such underrated mons live up to the potential! Honestly a lot of them like swalot, girafarig, and pelipper are very decent mons in opinion - decent stats and decent moves - and are definitely mons I’d want to use myself if given the chance
This was an amazing run, and your entire channel is amazing, keep it up! Nothing like a completely Gen 3- focused nuzlocke channel. I suggest you to try a hardcore nuzlocke (on any game) using only moves with less than 60 Base Power to deal damage, excluding stuff like magnitude, low kick and night shade.
3:20: I would say Whismur instead. As it's a 100% encounter in Rusturf Tunnel, so you technically lose an encounter (except dupe clause)... Skitty is a very bad mon though, I agree, but it could serve as sacrifice/ last resort or HMmule (Strength, Flash and Rock Smash) as Delcatty (Flash only as a Skitty).
Awesome vid, I’ve thought about what this idea would look like in the past (not exclusively for emerald) and I’m glad someone else did this so I didn’t have to do any of the work lol It’s a shame toxic never missing when used by a poison type wasn’t a thing back in gen 3 because that would’ve made the flygon much less stressful
You could delay New Mauville until getting the guaranteed electrode in Aqua Hideout to get a magneton, easily the best pokemon accessible to you. Also I think Wally's Gardevoir literally can't hit Sableye, so you could have brought that
@@fabiangonzalez586 It's double team calm mind psychic future sight. The actual issue with Sableye that I didn't realize is that future sight does hit dark types.
This sounds like a fantastic way to give some lesser-loved Pokémon the spotlight though I'm curious as to the criteria; worse overall, worse for the upcoming challenge or worse for team composition? There's a lot of ways that could be interpreted. 0:36 - Oh, so no Luvdisc? That would make your team a bit too OP so I can understand the exclusion. 3:35 - I think a run challenge wherein you're not allowed to do strategic sacrifices or a run where you only use Pokémon you've previously sacrificed/lost in your previous playthroughs would be my suggestion for a new run. 6:56 - Whoa; not expected at all. I'm pretty sure it is standard, from what I've seen, to be allowed to use Shinies as an exception when they pop up in a run due to their rarity. Gulpin here is also a pretty cool shiny to get; reminds me of a Dragon Quest Slime. Congrats! 11:25 - That line got a good chuckle out of me. It's funny that you kind of jump straight into the fights with Roxanne and Brawly but with Watson you give a full 6 Pokémon explanation on your strategy and back-up strategies. Unlike the anime, Watson proves quite a threat. 14:01 - I've used a Nosepass, but this was in Black and White 2 where the Pokémon had access to an improved evolution. Quite liked the fella! 16:01 - I made my Serviper into a Special Attacker specialist, due to the rest of my team struggling to fill that role. This was in the remakes though with the Special split for moves like Sludge Bomb. 19:34 - Numel fighting and defeating it's evolution was super cool, an additional rank of coolness was gained from seeing her defeat the following Slugma as well. 27:55 - That sounds like a great problem to have. In the unfortunate case that you lose a member, you've got some already well-levelled replacements as back-up. An I didn't even realise Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff were available in Emerald version. That 28:24 face Wigglytuff has feels like she is mocking you and it's fantastic. 33:48 - I'd considered using a Cacturne previously but never had the opportunity. Really cool to see the Pokémon getting the chance to shine here. 37:08... Well, it was good to see Cacturne shine whilst it lasted. I have a bad history with Ingrain myself so I'd advise avoiding the move in-future. It doesn't bode well in a game where crits are a thing. 41:51 - A shame to see Wigglytuff and Camerupt get dropped from the final team given how much they've contributed and particularly surprising with the former given she was your Ice Beam user. Seeing your two Water types and two Normal types here though does make me think a run of no duplicate types (within a team) could be quite fun to see you do. 45:32 - Happy to see Girafarig get some love here and see her doing so well. Even though I like the Pokémon, I'm impressed to see it decimate Glacia's team to that extent. 49:54 - Bravo to Linoone for soloing 3 of Wallace's team and his entire stock of Full Restores. Always splendid to see a Route 1 Pokémon perform so spectacularly! I really did enjoy this creative team assembled run!
Love reading your comments as always! Great suggestions for future runs. The non-duplicate types one in particular seems like a lot of fun, and instead of restricting the condition to just the current team, maybe I could even do it for my encounters in general. Ex. I pick Torchic as my starter, and now all future fire and fighting type encounters are banned for the rest of the run.
@@grumpygengar22 I've finally got around to replying to this comment (work and my own recording has held me up) and what do you know; you have a poll featuring this very run idea as an option. You'll be unsurprised to know which one I voted for!
There is no worst Pokemon since you can always use a great strategy to overcome a frontal assault. A very hard run would be 1 Pokemon type only since the opponent type Pokemon can become a wall sometimes.
You're actually right! I could have sworn Ground resisted Fire but apparently it's just rock and poison. I really don't know how Numel survived, unless the nature's were all weird between the two.
I kinda half EV trained him. I used zigzagoon early on random trainers and wild Pokemon so the first half of his EVs we're probably just all over the place.
I'm about to Buy an emerald Game, after playing in emulator , I feel the need of a real Pokémon Game, finding your Chanel before that is a blessing ..+1sub ... Also do You recommend a Game boy Sp or a nintendo DS to play..
Marill is crazy good even in the late game. I have finished a couple hours ago my HC nuzlocke and with Huge Power (but -Att nature) + some EVs training in attack he solo the Dark dude(all OHKO) and the Ice girl (only Walrein not OKHO) of the E4 with Brick Break. Not many pokemon perform this good in the League.
43:50 thank GOODNESS u didn’t equip Linoone with the white herb. It would’ve popped off of Mightyena’s Intimidate, which wouldntve been a difference since u belly drummed anyway, but Sand Attack would’ve still lowered ur accuracy as Intimidate would’ve used up your White Herb
To be honest, I've never gone through a full playthrough with one so it's all speculation. I definitely plan on trying him out in the future, and like many of the other pokemon from my latest series, Exploud will probably grow on me.

Giving Linoone a white herb against Sidney for the first e4 matchup would have only negated the intimidate, not the sand attack. So it wasn’t a misplay at all, you’re just wrong and over analyzing lol
What kind of run would you like to see me do in the future?
Using only 1 type of Pokémon could be a nice challenge, like gym leaders do
I'd like to see non-evolving pokemon only, or maybe static encounters only (gift pokemon, in game trades, fossils, & overworld pokemon)
@@voiceofreason4551 after this run, maybe a mono-water challenge would be the biggest contrast lol, really give Wallace a run for his money
A nuzlocke where you must use a party of Zigzagoon and can only use items they pick up instead of going to shops.

The reason why the 1% encounter is the worst pokemon is because they are so weak other pokemons can pick them up and eat them to near extinction.
Huh.. I never thought about it like that but that makes a lot of sense haha
