As someone who is new to meal prep and have very little culinary skill, your channel is honestly a gift man. Ive done a few of your recipies and several oat bakes from the channel. Everything has turned out perfect and tasty. Definitely buying a cookbook to support you. Keep it up
It's legitimately comical how basic things are never taught, because the people that are capable of teaching them are too busy doing those things. It's why teaching is a profession in of itself.
Seriously man. These videos are well done. I am not sure if you meant to construct them like this but they're spot on. 1) Giving tips about cooking things to save time 2) Different options for cooking hardware (e.g. air fryer) 3) Tips on how portioning doesn't matter week to week 4) EVERYTHING IN GRAMS 5) How to buy produce at the grocery store. If something isn't fresh, get something else. 6) How to reheat AND eat the dish?? Never seen any youtuber (for meal prep) do this before. It's actually so important. These top down shots are good but I'm glad you include different shots. Please don't go the "tasty" route and be a top down everything. Love the videos man. Keep it up. Wish I could make content this great.
In a sea of youtube cooking channels with longer than necessary run times and impractical prep times/ingredient lists and abrasive personalities, this one stands out to me as being one of the best that I've come across. Thank you for putting these vids out, Josh, you earned a subscriber.
I have meal prepped for years and this is easily the best channel/website for it. There no need for 20+ minute videos on any one meal. Straight to the point good meals. I appreciate the imperfect containers as well. If you do it for long enough, that's what all of them look like.
It seems like all the other meal prep channels I’ve come across are the same plain chicken and rice, it’s amazing to see healthy meals that are loaded with actual real flavor and seasoning, I’ve never seen a meal prep video that uses so much actual seasoning it’s refreshing
I suck at meal prep and cooking in general but your recipes make it so simple. Your content is a godsend for the culinary challenged, I am really looking forward to this one! Thank you so much for all the recipes!
love this recipe man! just a tip, if you rinse the potato pieces after you cut them, the starch you rinsed out will make it so the potato crisps up better :)
I’m moving into my first home in April and I’m so excited to have my own kitchen. Your channel is going to be my first visit every Sunday to help my diet stay on track during the work week. Keep up the awesome content, my friend.
Stayed up until 3am last night making both these big mac bowls and a shit ton of popcorn chicken, had 1 serve of each for dinner tonight and cannot get over how good they are. I feel like I just had a giant cheat meal yet it's all within my calories and macros. I love this channel so much.
Cheap, effective, delicious, quick and easy. That’s how meal prep should be. It’s alright following these fancy cook books time to time. But most of time I’m just looking something easy to cook and eat.
Just made this and just wow!!! Even my 14 Yr old who hates everything including air right now lol commented thst it was good and asked can he take 1 for dinner. My hat is off to you sir. On the 2nd receipt of these and can't wait to make more.
Also, I would maybe add kimchi myself to this instead of cabbage as I am sure that would microwave well and is more beneficial for the gut. But that’s just me. This is the working out mans Big Mac, who woulda thought?
About to make my meal plan for my cut. You are the mvp for giving out all these recipes to gym rats and others looking for cheap, healthy and tasty preps
You hold a fork like you forget you have opposable thumbs 😂 much appreciation for all these great recipes. I’ve tried quite a few, they are super helpful for someone like myself who works on the road.
This was the gateway drug into my current diet. I made small changes here and there to switch it up, but I am down probably 50 lbs since last year. It’s my go to lunch for months now
another amazing video! straight to the cooking instructions no talking about something that doesn't matter and best of all its a simple recipe that doesn't take forever to make and makes a lot of meals
I wish this channel existed when I started my dieting journey but greatful its here now. Thank you so much for all your hard work and putting great recipes out there . You really go above & beyound .
Your channel should blow up soon. This is excellent content, great balance between the culinary and fitness world (I’m a part of both so I love it). Love your channel man keep it up, the algorithm is hopefully gonna take you to the moon soon!
Something that will be a little more time but a way to keep the crunch of those potatoes is to pre boil your potatoes in water with baking powder (10 min in the microwave work remove the water then cool) Brown them off in the oven or air fryer but get them as brown as you can then let them completely cool before construction the bowls add a paper towel in storage to absorb any condensation in the containers. I know this sounds odd but trust me it will keep more crunch then you think.
just made this tonight, worked well. i feel like i may be a big eater as i looked at my bowl of demolition bigmac. not as filling as would like but them i may eat more than others in a single sitting.
Your channel is awesome! As someone who appreciates healthy eats and free time you hit all marks. Step by step down to the macro count I appreciate the hard work. Subscribed and looking forward to future content.
Very interesting about cabbage vs lettuce. Wilting lettuce was always an issue when I meal-prepped wraps, so I ended up removing it. I am actually now going to try with cabbage, and make a coleslaw chicken filling instead of salad-type chicken filling
I cooked this last night. Couldn't find the cabbage and what not so it was just the ground beef and potatoes. It looked like it would be plain but I put it in a bowl and splashed some ketchup and relish on it (didn't make the sauce) and it was totally delicious. I spread it out into 6 plates .
Look forward to trying this next week! Have done a few of your meal preps now, and I just wanted to say thank you so much - you've helped me so much with my cut this year. Appreciate the time you take to actually list out the calories/macros which makes the whole process for us that much easier 😃
I've been looking for ages at meal preps, as I've decided its time to start sorting my health out and you are by far the best channel for meals I have found.
I made this. A serving looked really small but I loved it espacially the sauce and after eating it, it did not feel that small of a serving. We ate it in 2 days, I will create a new batch today :) Thank you for the recipe!
@@TheMealPrepManual got the membership 🙏🏽 thanks so much man having so much fun, already lost like 4lbs lol🙌🏽🙌🏽 site is clean too!! shopping list generator 🔥🔥
Great video! Tip on the potatoes for others: -cut them a little bigger and boil with salted water and a little bit of baking soda them until just fork tender -strain them and let the steam go off for about 5-10 minutes. -toss them in a boil plain just enough to break up the outside edges but the main body is still intact -coat in olive oil and bake at 350f for at least 20 minutes, however you can bake them longer if you like them crispier. Internet Shaquille and Ethan Chlebowski both have more indepth videos on what I said! Trust me these potatoes are great, and although I have microwaved them before, I've left them on the counter until cold and they were still crispy.
Tried this meal for my toddler and his mom, who are both picky eaters. I grew up in an on-off vegetarian/pescetarian household (I still am pescatarian) so I basically cook meat dishes halfway blind, so to speak. Worked for both! For anyone who has picky toddlers, mixing the cabbage with the beef worked for me (if your toddler is skeptical of anything that looks kind of like a leaf or a tree). And the "Big Mac" sauce (I used vegan mayo and coconut yogurt so I could eat it too) can also be used for other things. I chopped up some raw carrots and had my son use it as a dipping sauce, and he gobbled it up.
Love your page Josh! Just wondering if you have any ideas for Mexican food but I love your page seriously! I’ve finally managed to actually food prep for the first time
The end of the real is straight FACTS, weighing your prep before is always the same outcome when you divide it and it doesn’t make sense to waste time with it and the potato’s. I watch a lot of body builders/strong men that prep and it’s great. At the same time I’M not training to be a strong man or an Olympian it just to take tips in and different recipes, other people try to mimic that and it just leads to unrealistic expectations lol
Haha I knew I was going to get called out for that. I will go to my grave contending that this is the most optimal and efficient way to hold a fork. And I haven’t tested them in the freezer but I would say no because of the cabbage. It’s worth a shot though
Would be really helpful if you could include the fan oven temperatures too for these recipes ! Other than that really creative , helpful and easy recipes to start meal prep , love your channel 🤗
Put a glass of water into your microwave when reheating your meals that way your food won't be soggy. I always do it when reheating pizza whenever i don't have time to put it into an oven.
leaner meat, less of the mayo in the sauce, more cabbage and less potatoes, air fry the potatoes instead of roast so you don't need oil. There are lots of ways you could do it

Literally. Started prepping at the beginning of Feb and the simplicity of his videos makes everything so easy as a beginner

Honestly real lifesaver. I cannot stand cooking or shopping. This makes life so so easy. And tasty. You rly are helping change my life
wait there is a cook book?!?!?!?
And he even has the entire written recipe laid out on a mobile-friendly website. This channel is a godsend. 🙏🏻
The website is efficient as the meal prep! Finally don’t have to wade through half a page of someone’s life story to get a great recipe.

lol I can hardly fill up 5 minutes haha

been coming back to this recipe over and over again. great recipe for weight loss and super easy

I love that your ingredients are so simple. I'm german and most channels use a lot of stuff that isn't available here.
Big Mac! Oh awesome! I did the turkey meal preps and my kids even liked them! Thanks Josh these Big Mac meals are getting done this week!
So glad to hear that 😎

I’ve said it before but I will again...you’re the man. My spring and summer diet is 80% of what you’ve shown me on vids for this upcoming year.

I just did this meal set yesterday without the potatoes and used 96% lean ground beef and I must say it is very tasty!

With a mission of weight loss and the culinary expertise of a baked potato this meal is amazing and delicious. Great content man. 👌🏻

I think i will try this with the addendum of just taking a bit of shredded lettuce to mix in after reheating.

I made something very similar before and it's delicious. I had the stoufers frozen version first and made it with potatoes because of potassium.
Thank you for this recipe
