My man always making sure I get a laugh
Love you Vincent you're awesome buddy
I love your intro Mr Vincent. Don't change it! :) Great video how always! 💪🏻👍🏻
Would love to see Panasonic JZ2000 vs Sony A90J
Me I would prefer HZ2000 vs A90J
I'd prefer the JZ1500 but in a 77" which they don't do😡
@@bustercolin7507 Panasonic lz2000 will come in 77 inches
I was in this same predicament a month ago, deciding between a 55” G1 and a 65” C1. Ended up going with the former because I know I’m moving in the next few months, dunno how appropriate a 65” will be in my next space and I want to set myself up with a nice TV to wall mount. The 5 year warranty out of the box is also great.
I don't thinkthere is a huge difference in terms of picture quality between G1 and C1
All if you check the video at time stamp 4.09 to 4.18 you will see the text on screen “The 77” A80J uses ‘EVO’ panel”. Thanks Vincent for clearing this up for us.
Ysah 77 uses the Evo panel the others yoy have a chance on not getting the latest panels the other sizes that is of the a80j lol
My situation is I'm deciding whether 65" is a big enough upgrade from the 55" plasma I currently have. This video is a good example of the difference in size which is more noticeable than expected.
Very good hypothesis. I often wonder this. Thanks for the analysis Vincent.
I got a 65" A80J last month. I don't regret it. I was going 65" no matter what and while the A90J is objectively better than the A80J it isn't even close to being $1,600 better.
Lol thats not that bad at 1600 here in canada that difference is over $2000....& on sale lol.... I'm with you A80J is the better value if you are money conscious
you know within 3 years you will get a burn-in, cause it doesn't have a heatsink like the A90J.
@@0NeedHelp before I got my A80J I had a LG EC9300 from 2014. I had it for 7 years. I sold it to a friend a year ago. It's now 8 years old. Still no burn in. The burn in prevention technology is even better now. Burn in can happen but it's unlikely.
I was between the a80j 77" at $1900 or a90j 83" at $3500. Both were open box, went with the a80j. I couldn't be more happy with the purchase.
nice comparison thank you. Hopefully you will be able to compare the jz2000 with others too. As soon as the panasonic is in stores here I will check it out for myself to see if the pro's and cons in my situation maybe still make me decide to buy the panasonic or an other very good tv.
“Hang onto your plasma from 10 years ago”- indeed, still enjoying my Pioneer KRP-600M.
I wanted to find a video like this. I was comparing the Sony 55" A95K ($3000) and the LG 65" Evo C2 ($2000).
Vincent when to wait for the review on Z9J is very interesting !!!
I'm excited to see what the Z9J can do!
65 inch is the sweetspot for me, for example, even bigger sizes above that might make faces look unnatural when recorded close at my sitting distance, and also probably negatively affect the overall overview too much, but 65 inch, sitting rather close to it but not too close, will make a very imersive experience that will make a lot of fun, especially while playing at 4k 120hz for example.
Size is always nice to have. But after buying a few cheaper yet larger TVs. I’ve learned it’s a balance of best picture with the best size. I purchased a 75 TCL series 6 set because it was considered one of the best bang for bucks. Any bright content on it looks great. Live it. But dark content is terrible. Can’t stand blooming. Since then I’ve purchased a 65LG C1. No regrets.
This is why I love this channel. No one does this. You are the best.
i have both of these tv’s in this video ill go with 55” a90j 10/10 times but i love my 65” a80j tho but its just not the 90 u def see and feel the difference
Thanks for the great comparison Vincent! @5:15 mark where are you able to pull this information?
Excellent video Vincent!! Will you review the X90J?
When I purchased my 55 Inch x900h I was worried that the 65 inch was too large for my stand...
however this is between two different models... if you do not have the stand then get one because it is worth it but two different models will always boil down to what the sale price is and what does each model offer in tech and features.
i hope you cover more tv for next gen console either 2.1 hdmi or 2.0 but with 120hz panel
Vincent, many of us would like to see a video of you addressing the terrible audio delay when using audio output in Dolby Atmos with the Xbox Series X. If you bring it up Dolby and Microsoft might fast track the fix!
X900h still hasn't resolved its related Atmos output issues when in 120hz mode. I'm pretty rattled I went the the sony last year over just ponying up for an LG CX. Sony has really shit the bed in terms of supporting next gen gaming which is a real head scratcher since they are the only tv manufacturer also making game consoles.
Sir you cleared many problem of mine. Thx
Excellent video Vincent. I really want the 83" A90J but cannot get myself to justify paying twice of 77" A80J. Waiting for the sale on the A90J.
near around black friday sale season u mean?
That a90j 77 inch is not worth twice as much and it’s not big of a difference between picture quality normal ppl won’t notice a difference only these video enthusiastics and reviewers can tell the difference, the only difference normal ppl can maybe see is a little bit of brightness just get the 77 A80j
@@ydid687 Yes.
@@tracer073 Even enthusiasts would probably not notice this level of difference if not doing side-by-side testing. But everyone would certainly notice the larger image.
@@tracer073 there's no a90j 77" only 83" for double the price of a80j 77"
So the tvs that come with some sort of antiglare coating, can you still use these lcd/oled screen cleaners on them safely ? thx
I have to agree with Vincent's bottom line here. If we were talking about LCD it would be different because PQ with different LCDs is WILDLY different With OLED though the difference between the best OLED and the worst OLED is ALOT closer, to the point that you should go for size IMO. All this is why I went from a 65" C7 to a 77" C1. It's better than an A1 or a Vizio but not as good as an A80J or A90J. So it's right in the middle and gave me the extra screen size I wanted over my 65".
Same! I went from a 65" B8 to a 77" C1. Amazing tv. Further more, I just bought a 55" a80j for 1k and excited to analyze the difference.
I want to see a DIY heatsink for the A80J. Would that allow the A80J to get brighter if its indeed thermal limited?
Hi! Is the performance e.g. peak brightness test relevant to the 77 inch a80j vs 77 inch a90j? You mentioned that the 77 versions both have the evo panel and I was thinking maybe they would still overclock the pixels (even without heatsink on a larger tv) because larger pixels (pixel aperture) is more resistant?
14:34 that face expression 😂
lol, love the innuendo.
Please review the Phillips OLED 806! 😇
Great video as always, I'm too poor to buy either of these screens but if I could then I'd get the larger size over the slightly better quality
Vincent - would you recommend the Philips OLED+ 935 (last year's) or the A80J - both 65" - I'm thinking the Philips will give a more "cinematic" experience because of ambilight?
My sights are set firmly on the A90J 83" It'll be my first Oled TV
You’re going to be blown away!
Thanks! I am pulling the trigger and replacing an XBR75-850C as I bought the 55-A90J for my wife and the comparison hurts. The 77" looks to be only available in the A80J and as that screen is what fits I will give it a go! From across the Pond. lol
The Philips OLED806 and OLED856 are now being sold at shops..... Could you please do a detailed review now??
Vincent, any ps5 to a80j settings for 4k blu rays? Watched a movie on that set up at a friend's and the voice sync was off in custom picture but if u change to game voice sync was perfect. Not sure if getting the best picture quality that way though.
Vincent we need a comparison between the 83A90J and the 88 inch LG ZX ! I got the 83A90J and I want to pat myself on the back for only spending a third of what the LG cost. 🤣
Well put!!
Vincent i bought a lg oled wx 65" on sale for less than 65" c1 / a80j . Is last year model but perfect design to put on the wall and with a soundbar... Was a good buy? Or shoud i return and buy a new model? Or wait for the g1 or 90j prices go down ...? Its easy to see side by side comparisons but when is only one tv at home, size, the design and sound shoud be more noticeble than a little more brigthess and better processing... Am i rigth??? And there is no good video review on products like the wallpaper tv or the R series on youtube... Wish you add one...
I had to decide to get the 65” LG CX or the 85” x900h. I chose the 85”x900h and glad I did.
Oh man that's a hard one I still would of had to go with the oled lol its a bit different then comparing a bigger oled with a smaller oled then a bigger led with a smaller oled even if it's a Sony don't get me wrong I'm sure the x900h is good but yeah the cx at 65 inches would be hard to pass up over a 900h lol
@@reviewforthetube6485 I also recentely picked a 75" XH90 over a 65" CX (which are the same retail price where I live). It really depends on your use case. If you're a family guy, sit far away from your TV (I sit at 4.5m) and only occasionally watch a movie in complete darkness, but otherwise just watch TV or play games with enough ambient light not to notice blooming from the local dimming, it's probably a better choice to just have a bigger screen.
If you sit closer and/or spend a large portion of time watching film or playing video games in the dark, well then I guess OLED might give you better experience...
OLED > VA LED LCD.
@@reviewforthetube6485 Would've or would have.

Fascinating comparison! I have 2008 Panasonic plasma and hesitant to upgrade to LED or OLED because viewing angle is severe constraint in my viewing room.
How high up the food chain do I have to go before the viewing angle on a TV is a nonissue? Perhaps do a video on this crucial issue?
Thank you.
Oleds don’t have issues with viewing angles.
I just purchased the 83" A90J. It hasn't arrived yet and I'm starting to get cold feet. Comparing it to the new 83" LG C1. Should I cancel my order considering the more HDMI 2.1 inputs and VRR already implemented on the LG or stick with the superior processing and heat sync of the Sony? This will not be a gaming TV (at least not primarily) but a home theater centerpiece. Will the Sony heat sync help with longevity and reduction of burn in? For the difference in price I could buy the 83" LG C1 and a 65" OLED panel for another room.
Hello. Do you happen to know if there is a way to turn off the volume display on the Sony a80j? I am using a Sony soundbar that displays the volume on the bar so the bright white volume display on the tv is distracting. Thank you.
I'm really in doubt after the reviews of the Sony and Panasonic because I'm like you, I want the best image quality, closest to the creators intend. Should I go for the A90J or jz2000? What would you do Vincent? Only picture quality counts, got dedicated speakers.
Hi LG C1 65" vs Sony A80J 65" which one should I buy? They are only $50 difference....can someone help me decide on the best buy between these two and why. Thank you.
Vincent, what about LG G1 77inch vs. JZ2000 65inch (or A90J 65inch)? Which one would you choose?
Higher pixel density yields to higher picture quality. I chose to sit 30cm closer to the screen and stick with 55" (A90j), achieving the same field of view of a 65" but with a nicer pic to my eyes. ps: main use is gaming, for cinema ymmv since bigger picture is undoubtably more immersive, and with a compressed source to start with, I feel pixel density is less of a concern
The higher pixel density is noticeable yeah. Besides TV size people need to factor in viewing distance.
I would pick quality, but that’s because I never had the size. 😂
Agree...It is not the size of the boat but the motion in the ocean!...LOL

I want what we couldnt get last year - sn 83" OLED under 10k. So its the A90j for me
Depends on use case I guess. Watching movies = bigger screen gives a more WOW factor. Gaming and productivity = smaller screen with superior PQ will usually be more appealing. A 42 inch A90J with VRR support is the holy grail for me.
Agree, specially if gaming very close. I got 65" QLED, but wishing every day to have 55" LG OLED or Sony. For movies 65" QLED is nice.
Interesting comment. I love gaming on my LG 65inch G1 & watching movies. I only watch 1080p & 4k content on my screen. I used too own a 55inch C9, & gaming on that was also good, but gaming on my 65inch LG G1 is a big difference, too my eyes anyway. Picture & motion is much better than my old C9. When playing games & watching movies, my 65inch G1 has a 3-Dimensional image, the image pops off my screen. The colours are also much better than my old C9. But if your a PC gamer, I'm guessing a smaller screen size, like a 42inch would be perfect for PC gaming. 👍🏼
Thanks god I found your channel. Great work. So now instead of getting the 65 A90j I may get the 75 A80J :-)
Can't wait for your x90j review. A lot of criticism from other reviews.
Very valid and warranted criticisms
For me it's not valid until Vincent confirms it. He's the top guru in my opinion.
I don't think you will get an x90j review from him you will get a x95j tho lol
I hope he will eventually get his hands on one.
@@reviewforthetube6485 he’s going to do both and do a comparison video on both the X90J and X95J.
What about the Sony - Class BRAVIA XR A95K 4K HDR OLED Google TV (55in vs 65in)? They're both A95k. Will the 55in look better?
I was looking and the same goes for the A80J 77 and the A90J 65.
I’m debating this size vs picture but not with Sony TVs. For me it’s between the tcl c825, LG G1 and Panasonic jz2000. If I go oled I may have to go with a smaller size due to price. The price difference at 55 inch isn’t too bad for me but at 65 inch it becomes a lot more significant
What have you done since then? Did you go with C825 or oled?
In the UK in May 2023 the dilemma is between the A84K 65" vs LG C2 65" vs A90J 55" all in the same price range . And, after watching all the reviews it seems that the best option is the LG C2 65", however, it is a tough choice.
@HDTVTest What about choosing between 83 77"
Sony A90J 83 vs LG G1 77?
Love my a80j. 65 is perfect rn for me anyway. Don’t know if I’ll go bigger or not in the next 6 years or so
What’s your sitting distance from the 65”?

I moved to a new apartment a few months ago in April. the Sony just released their A90J - the A80J wasn't available early April here (Amsterdam)
Since i still had the flag-ship Sony bravia LCD from 2011 (!) and since 2020 was a crappy year (for us all) I decided to "treat myself" and just got the 55 inch A90J instead of waiting for the 65 inch A80J. I do however sometimes have my doubts whether I should have waited a few weeks to get a 65 inch A80J. As Vincent says; bigger is more immersive.
To be fair though measuring from the panel to the edge of my seat is 185CM. From that point my sofa is 66CM deep if i take the pillows into account to rest my back against.
Whilst 65 inch would've physically fit my furniture. I probably would be too close to the TV for 65 inch ?
Sadly, selling a TV even if it's a few months old like mine still incurrs too much of a loss to be worth it to sell my A90J and go to a 65 inch A80J.
Ah well. It's nice to have something that's top of the line too I guess :-)
Hey, a 55” A9G was my original dream tv. You have one of the best. Did you consider a Panasonic?
Is there a way we could get a list of the movies you used for the test? The ship one looks cool I want to watch it but I couldn't find info on it anywhere
It's Pan. (as in the Peter pan movie)
So. In short... the 77 a80j use the evo panel and has the same or similar anti-glare glossy coating. Confirmed?
Sony Z9J test, WHEN !?!?!?
@HDTVTest Vincent, if you had to do this comparison by percentage, how much % would be X90J LED to the A80J OLED in image quality?
I'm trying to decide between the two, and I'm leaning towards the X90J because I will use it a lot with my computer and want to avoid image retention.
Thank you.
Do you think Sony will release 48 inch A90J next year 2022? I really want A90J for the bedroom but 55 inch is too big. I understand Sony has A9S but lacks next-gen HDMI features.
Hi, thanks for the review, my husband and me wants to buy a tv, but he likes gaming, and then after watching UA-cam, we are battling about OLED and QLED, I want the Sony A80J and he wants the Samsung QLED, I forgot what he wants but it’s QLED Samsung. I like sony, and we have PS5, but my only concern is the burn in? How long we can use it? Without seeing burn in on tv, we don’t watch CNN we only watch UA-cam, and Netflix. and we are both like gaming? What do you suggest? Because seems like the SonyA80j are good in gaming? We can’t afford the A90j that’s too much for our budget? Do you think we should go
To OLED or QLED? I hope
You answer me, thank you.
You convinced me that the performance of the A80J is negligibly less than that of the A90J.
My question is will I see a noticeable difference between a 77A80J and my current KDL-60NX720.
These 2 TVs from Sony are way to close especially at the largest sizes for me to justify the price jump from A80J to A90J. Pulled the trigger on A80J 77 inch. No fomo.
I agree
Nice, 77 inch that will be a beast! Congrats and enjoy!
Same here it’s awesome

@@jamesadkinsiii7925 Thanks for your service 🇺🇲💥🖐 Yea they were looking at the 83" Sony but it's to big for their room and my mother felt like it would look tacky and stick out like a billboard in the room. After measuring things I agreed to big for their space. I agree $8600 for a tv for minimal upgrade over the A80J is a rip off. Lucky you got a decent deal. Goes to show how bad they rip people off too. Lol
I've always watched TV in a dark room, I got those dark drapes. But when I play video games, I sometimes don't, but when watching TV shows and movies, I always want it to be like a cinema in my room. What is better, 77 A80J or 65 A90J, I feel 77 will be too big, but not sure yet.
I fully agree with your conclusion Vinnie, I would also choose the 65" A80J over the 55" A90J. Yes we know how you feel size. Indeed, bigger is always better! 😉
I bought the Sony A80J in the 65' last month for $1799, and picture quality is Amazing on it! I couldn't justify paying an extra $1200 for the A90J. I'm very happy with my purchase, and the A80J, and I feel its one of the best TV of 2021
@@avg0062 I would have made the same choice. That additonal 67% increase in price is just too high and wouldn't have offered you a proportional improvement in picture quality. At most, it may be 10% better, if even. If someone has that extra $1200 to spend AND a large enough room, it would be better spent moving up to a 77" A80J IMO.
I understand the A90J panels are the top selected panels and the A80J panels are not. This may lead to a possible panel lottery with the A80J compared to the A90J. There are some design aspects of the A80J which seem more premium like the metal wrapped screen edge and more metal being used in the body. The A80J stand has more flexibility and can be placed in different width positions, unlike the A90J stand which is 55" wide and can only adjust the height. We had to purchase a pedestal stand to use the A90J with our current base. The A90J speakers are more powerful and are so good we eliminated our ZVOX sound base!
Everyone, I can 100% tell you the shadow details on the 65in a90j are not an issue on arrival 4k blu ray disc in that scene Vincent showed on here. I’d upload a pic or video if I could. I’m using d nice settings for hdr and black level is at 50. I think the smaller Sony oleds this year have more issues. As I hear the 77in a80j has a better picture than the smaller versions. If you want a pic I’m on the avs forums and can post one on there. It looks flawless!
I haven’t checked the scene in game of thrones. I think the bigger you go with these two oleds the better the picture gets.
@The dude: We explained that there could be panel-to-panel variation at 9:40 in this video.
I’m debating between a 77in A80J and a 83in A90J but not sure I can justify paying double the price for a heat sink and 6in increase in size… thoughts? Is the A90J that much better?
I had the A90J returned to save money after seeing the A80J, to my eyes there is very little difference and after having the 80J now for two weeks I would even say I like the picture better then the top end model and it's built better as well go figure. So happy I saved money and got I think the better Tv!
Its only like 40 nits brighter in full field SDR and 100 nits more peak in HDR, I think you are also right.
I have the 83inch a90j and I'm returning it,I feel the picture is washed out at times,I had the sony a8h and I loved the picture quality,I felt it was poping out, alot of detail in faces etc, could you pls tell me if you feel there is more detail in the a80j,share any info would be appreciated ty.
I just ordered the 77'' A80J and now I'm second guessing my choice. Its in my main living room which is pretty large has lots of windows but no direct sunlight. I mostly watch sports streamed from UA-cam TV and movies/shows on Netflix, Disney+, and amazon. I have a Xbox seriesX but do not play very often so gaming is not important. Should I exchange the A80J for the QN90A? thought about the 83" C1 but its more than I wanted to spend. thanks for the help! It will be replacing a 2015 LG 7034 Class 69534 model so I'm assuming the difference will be huge. My biggest concern is size.
Same home setup and you will totally enjoy the 77” A80J in that environment, plus it for sure has the EVO panel!
This video made me wondering. Do you think that it is possible that oleds with heatsinks like the a90j and the lg g1 are less prone the burn in, since they clear up image retention faster?
Any OLED will get burn-in eventually, if you're watching at 100% brightness and have static images displayed often. I would never use an OLED above 70% brightness, I usually only watch TV at night so I don't even need 70%. That's the only way to never get burn-in.
Yup
Hello Vincent.
Could the near black problem, which was also clearly visible in the AVS test sequences, really only come about through panel variation?
Couldn't you test a 65/83 inch A90J again to verify?
That would be great and would eventually move me to a Sony TV.
I would then continue to use my old C9 as a gaming and secondary PC monitor in the office.
I dont know if its panel variation or not but my 65a90j is clearly affected ! Near black is way better handled on my bedroom pana 55hz1000 over my 65a90j. Feel a bit disapointed !
Hmmm wouldn't the overall luminance level of a 65" screen of similar type perhaps "should" be greater than a 55" screen simply because it's well "A larger light bulb" or if not the 55" would have to be a lot brighter to allow that - I've often heard people say that a 75" will light up a dark room much more than even a much brighter smaller set due to that surface area throwing light across a wider area. I've also heard pro and anti statements about larger TV's effect of eye fatigue, some say because the light it over a larger area they don't feel like they are staring at a point light and other say it's uncomfortable anyway - and that maybe due to the total areal luminanace.
I suspect the larger screens have that larger total areal luminance also simply because of what is implied by the much larger power consumption on a large screen.
As for that Mad Max screen I can't tell them apart "sorry" they both have that "Sony TV" Look to them and that is all I can really see on my screen.
Wish they had a 32 or 40 inch Sony OLED 2021 model
I can’t even look at my LG CX the same way/light anymore, after experiencing both the A80 and A90J. There is just no comparison really. The processing on the Sony is truly next level stuff. Where LG’s processing seems to do more harm than good, from my experience. And don’t even get me started on the difference in color science. Sony mopped with that too, per usual.
Setting my cx with visual test patterns looks almost identical to my calman calibration. The color is very accurate out of the box.
external madVR tonemapping beats Sony chipset and processing.

NICE VIDEO.
83A90J > 77A80J > 65/55A90J > 65/55A80J
If money is not a issue, just go for 83A90J, bear in mind 77"+ panel from LGD still has worse uniformity than smaller sizes
77A80J - basically an A90J with minimum differences, similar anti-glare coating with A90J, same speaker with 65/55A90J, and most importantly equipped with much brighter EVO panel, undoubtedly the most recommended non-gaming OLED TV of 2021
65/55A90J - for people with limited space or non-living room use, at the same time require the highest picture quality
65/55A80J - a bigger step lower for budget OLED consumers
I think one of the biggest reasons the 77" A80j's loved so much is its SIZE...
Although some people hate the Evo panels... talks of pink tint that force some to return, and whatever the term was that Vincent used in this video...he said it a couple of times and mentioned it was his term for describing faint lines in contrast or HDR or something like that...🤷♂️🤷♂️
I guess the heatsink is the big difference between the A80j and A90j...
how big a difference??🤔 this is why i came here...
and Vincent just said he would stick his neck out and choose the 65" A80j over the 55" A90j
👏👏👏
HDTVTest is the best 👌
14:15 I still *love* my Panasonic plasma :D
I am hearing impaired and to avoid arguments with my wife, she listens through the tv speakers (Panasonic Plasma) and I route TV RCA audio output to a Sony receiver and hook up wired earphones. I now can independently control volume. As far as I can tell the LG C1 has settings to allow TV to output speaker sound and audio out at same time. But I don't think the Sony A80J allows this. I am leaning to the Sony but this one feature is critical. Can you confirm one way or another? thx much
Sony can't do it from analog out, but you can simply extract stereo audio from the optical out. That allows audio to be output from both the tv and the reciver as well. If your receiver hasn't optical in, you can buy a digital/analog converter on Amazon for about 10$.
@@fabrized thx so much
Maybe the 90J will be more reliable/better built etc for the extra cost ?
Way late comment here, but I am thinking of selling my 77" A80J as it's too dim for HDR/DV content even with everything high in luminance, etc then in bright light scenes, it's just too bright/intense as it strains my eyes. I'm no expert here, but if I get A90J, I know it would not be dimmed in HDR/DV content from what I've read in reviews, but what about bright light scenes, would that be even brighter/intense than on A80J??
Any thoughts or suggestions....? Maybe I should get something else instead of A90J? Not a gamer here. Mainly on movies.
Thanks in advance.
Should I I keep the auto picture mode off or on ?
this is an easy one, the bigger A80J every time. Personally I ordered a 77A80J.
I really need help! I can’t choose, I can buy the a90j 55” but at the same time I like the a80j 65” for my bedroom! I mean I gift the a80j 55” to my parents and they are really happy with it but I wanna be more immersive with movies/series (Apple TV 4K) and ps5 😩..please I need an answer 🥺
14:14 What camera do you use? Looks like one of the full-frame Lumixes
Well spotted... it's the Panasonic S1H.
@@hdtvtest Between the Sony A80J and the Sony A9F / G which one would you prefer?
Thank you for your advice
I'm struggling to choose between A80J 77" and A90J 65" But In my homeland, the A90J 65" are cheaper around 1200 USD. But I'm using a really old LG 3D TV 55" from 7-8 years ago in the PS3 era. So this is my big upgrade. That's why I really consider this so much.
BTW I really love more highlight detail on A90J but I don't want to lose 12 inches either. Maybe anyone has any extra advice? And I can't buy A90J 83" either that price is pretty insane lol
Get the Sony A80j 77, the bigger screen size is always gonna be better than marginally better picture quality, you gonna regret it if you get the smaller screen size trust me.
@@tracer073 Thanks my friend I just measured the size from 55" to 65 and 77 From 55" to 77" is looks incredible upgrade for me.
Maybe it's not that bad if I have to sacrifice some highlight detail and turn into 12 inches size.
I appreciate your advice. 😊
@@KarazP I have the 55 inch A90J since April when i moved apartments, a "treat to myself" after 2020's shitty year of doing nothing (lockdowns)
The way my new apartment is optimally setup is that the sofa's edge is 185CM from the TV panel. Add 65CM to get my back to the cushion so sitting at 185+65CM away if i'm with my back against the sofa cushions (nice thick padded ones lol)
I'm kinda regretting not getting the 65 inch A80J (couldn't really justif the 65 inch A90J, that's just too much money for a TV. Then i could be in 4K laser projector land)
So i would also say, if you can go bigger, go bigger.
@@NL0Gwenster Haha laser projector is one of my dream for a true theater experience at home but my room space is a big problem to set up.
For now I decision to go for A80J 77" for sure. It's just like you said Bigger is better. But the next purchase I think it should between 83-88 inches because 77 is too small 😂
65" A80J or 77" LG A1, which one to choose?
The glossy coating on A90J alone makes it a winner. I hate the "monitor" look on my TV. I'd actually prefer to have a glossy coating on my monitor too.
For my budget the A80J sits in the sweet spot.
Hola que es mas conveniente: un q70t de 65 o un q80t pero de 55?
I’m thinking 77” A80J may use the new EVO panel.
It does and if you check the video at 4.12 you will see the text on screen “The 77” A80J uses ‘EVO’ panel”
It does Classy Tech confirmed
Vincent said himself in a comment that it doesn't.
Am i trippen or does the a80 have a better color accuracy than a90 in this comparison?
I couldn't persuade the girlfriend why a 55" would look fine in the middle of the room, so got the sensible option and received an LG C1 48" this morning. It fits in the lounge alcove nicely, but if I lived on my own, definitely would of bought the LG CX 55" instead, as it's was cheaper!
Big mistake, never ask a girlfriend or wife for advice about TV size!!! My wife has always said no, but when I have installed the bigger TV she admits that the bigger TV are better and more immersive.
00Clive00 you are a grown why do you need a woman permission to buy the size tv you want, it’s the rise of the beta-male era.
It's called compromise, I already turned her dining room into workshop 😄 and it's her house so I'm doing alright.
Great video, does any know know the difference between the a80j and a84j? Looks like curry's is the only place that sells the a84j..
They're both pretty much the same, the a84j just has one extra feature over the other. "Rich colour enhancer".
normally you should always pick size, bigger is better.
but why not both (XD
