@@zirilan3398 Cleansing Wildfire + Flagstones and Blood Sun + Lotus Field are well-known to be strong too. Escape to the Wilds was banned in Standard. And Awaken the Woods has performed decently in Standard, and there are usually not too many sweepers in Modern decks to deal with the tokens. So a lot of the things here are not as janky as they might seem. The Gideons and Timeless Witness over Eternal Witness are inexplicable though.

When Seth kept saying "if opponent has a scam card" in round 2, he meant Undying Malice or similar. Because it would have saved the opponent's creatures from removal.
A while back you did an against the odds for a deck that ramps out Villainous Wealth. I'm looking at what's going on here and thinking that the two decks need to have a baby.
Awaken the woods is such a great card, it fits into so many fun decks. Anything that triggers when a creature or land enters, like landfall or alliance cards, just has a field day with this. Or just take advantage of the wide field and find triggers from creatures hitting opponents or dying, for when you chump block.
Love the Deck, should throw in a march of the multitude in the deck. Always feels good to make a small army of 1/1 lifelinkers out of nowhere and have them all block one creature to gain life, then win on the crackback
A couple cards that can be ran over Gideon, Esper sentinel helps with the early game and slows down the annoying decks in the format and pitches for solitude if necessary. March of the Multitudes again pitches to solitude and scales well with what the deck wants to do. Another card that could be worth running is showdown of the scalds as it's both a wincon/with the dryad's and pitches to both evoke elementals and it's card draw.
I feel like I'm going crazy, people started calling MH2 Rakdos "Rakdos Scam" about a month and a half ago and I have no idea why and no one will tell me where the 'scam' comes from.

So the "scam" cards of turn 1 keeping evoke elementals was originally black/white which was easily named griefblade because of grief and stoneforge, rakdos rarely ran it like that and was more rakdos rock. Then Aspiringspike made the current rakdos brew popular and referred to it at one point as rakdos scam, and seems the community just shrugged and said "I mean I guess it isn't a rock deck anymore, sure let's go with it".

I personally quite enjoyed an explorer Awaken the Woods combo deck. The combo: Awaken the Woods, Shigeki (primarily for channel, though ramp helps early), Bala Ged Recovery (any card that'll get Shigeki out of the graveyard is fine, though Bala Ged means you can do it without sacrificing a land slot) and then any method that'll make each Dryad produce 2 mana straight away (you include multiple in the deck, but examples are having 2x Lotus Cobra on the field, having a Lotus Cobra and a transformed Ulvenwald Oddity, or having a transformed Ulvenwald Oddity and a Nissa Who Shakes the World. Any card that gives creatures haste can repleace Ulvenwald, but he's in this list due to it being monogreen). Anyway, as long as they're immediately producing 2+ green mana the combo is pretty straightforward,; you just keep looping Awaken, Shigeki and Bala Ged, until you have a pseudo-infinite army of Dryads. One of the reasons Ulvenwald Oddity is good for the combo is because he also allows them to attack straight away for lethal. Otherwise the deck is just ramp (for bigger AtW), 4x Ugin the Spirit Dragon (for a monogreen sweeper plus potential wincon), and a singleton Vorinclex (because if you play a Nissa with a Vorinclex out, her indestructible land emblem is awesome for the Dryads.
When secure the wastes and cryptolith rites were in shadow over innistrad standard I had a deck that had a similar strategy. Secure the wastes on end step with rites out then next turn cast one double it’s size, ahhhh good times

Planar Outburst could be an interesting wrath, leaving all the Dryad Arbors alive and wiping the opponents board. It's expensive for a wrath, but we're in a ramp deck anyway, and it's white.
The only thing that deck of yours is missing is Terra Eternal to make the dryad arbors indestructible. Also, wouldn't putting in one Chromatic Lantern/Prismatic Omen let your dryad arbors tap for WUBRG? Adding in one of those would also bypass blood moon.
I love how the modern Rakdos deck has gone from "Rakdos Midrange" to "Rakdos MH2" to "Rakdos Scam". At this rate its next name will be "Rakdos for players with low emotional intelligence and no integrity"
I was using awaken the woods in historic with Lotus Cobra, Tireless Provisioner, scute swarm, and Felidar Retreat, basically trying to make a ton of mana all in one turn to ramp out hoof and smash for lethal. EDIT: Maybe the temporary lockdowns should just be main deck instead of gideon lmao
I’m kinda bummed that everything is centered around just getting the tokens. This is the biggest ramp spell in the game, why not use it as such? Tireless provisioner, Tatyova, Canyon Jerboa, lotus cobra, etc. These could make awesome additions to the deck

Is hour of revelation a possible wrath? It skips the dryad arbors basically making the wrath both defensive and offensive. Furthermore you can cast it t4 with t3 blood sun and t4 hour using a lotus field as land on t4

Around 55:45, I like Awaken the Woods for x=1, to at least get SOME pressure on the Wren, while leaving up Moonlight. Is that crazy? Especially when we draw the third Awaken, I feel like a 3 mana 1/1 is actually worth it there. Am I just wrong?
@@englishmuffinpizzas yebbit if you did it X=1 you still have mana up for Hallowed Moonlight, and I don't _think_ the opponent had enough mana for counter backup at that point, so I don't think we needed to leave two Moonlights up.

Okay yeah, this deck really smells like "well I built a weird brew and I had 10 slots left, so I just threw in the best on-color modern cards I had lying around" lol. Ngl, I love the fun-of Zacama tho. People should include fun-ofs in their decks more often, I think the gotcha factor cancels out a lot of the drawback of playing a worse card. I mean if you want to win a big tournament you should still play the best cards - but if you're just playing a league on modo or grinding on Arena, I think the effect on your win %age is miniscule, and you never know when you'll stumble on some sweet tech.
It being two mana makes it awkward to hold up against combo decks mainly, I tested it but you really need to be a draw go deck to want it and other draw go answers to graveyards are plentiful enough to not need it
Timeless witness seems almost exclusively worse than eternal witness- maybe as a 1-of but the 4 mana on a 2/1 still....feelsbadman. Should've a least been a 3/3 or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ too bad the set releases are designed around the draft formats
Don’t play much modern but watch a lot of videos of it here. Any good deck has to have MH2 cards to be good. Sorta poop right? Sorta boring? Sorta good? Idk. Seems meh to me though lol.
It is the best format for the things Seth was talking about Legacy is honestly probably better but it's also more broken and can really only be played on MTGO unless you've collected forever or are insanely rich. The only issue with modern are things like MH2 making it to where you're either playing it or your not competing. Even with a deck like Seth was running he has the evoke elementals.

This is a ramp deck where the payoff is green, but the ramp spells are mostly red.

I feel like 9 times out of 10, gideon is just an anthem that can't be removed. I imagine it's rare hat you ever do anything else with him.

Kabira takedown might be the mdfc you're looking for. You can pitch it for Solitude or use a bunch of dryad token to kill a creature with it

The issue was tapping out and losing to indomitable creativity. It was a genuinely tough call

This deck looks more pioneer than modern. Most of cards are legal in pioneer.
