I gotta be honest... I am in absolute awe of how CGB seems to always manage to queue into people that know how to throw games so convincingly. First opponent just throws the game away by turning everything sideways every turn into on board bad trades... Last opponent plays around their imagination and leaves 4 open mana instead of playing dennick which ended up throwing the game. Where are these opponents when I play the game?? Most of the people I play against actually know how to play the game... I envy CGB's ability to get paid actors in almost every opponent.
@@thefruitfan5616 it could be a direct challenge but probably just a distracted player. CGB always builds good enough decks that he doesn’t need to get players to throw games for the sake of a video.
Golgari control is my favorite. It just took such a knock when Meathook got banned. I still play Golgari as my favorite deck. Its always challenging and rewarding. Mono red and soldiers just destroy it currently. Mono red is too fast and soldiers are just too relentless, they just keep on coming. I dont play the titania cards, but use sweepers with triomes and Invoke Despair, like the original Golgari control CGB did.
i love seeing a good green black video :p forcing gb midrange in every format/event ever is my passion. also, you dont gain life off a land token dying with titania because they are not cards, meaning they sadly dont also draw off gitrog
0:52 Anyone want to tell him that's not how that works? The Awaken the Woods 1/1s are lands, but they are not cards, they are *tokens,* and they do not enter the graveyard. So no Titania trigger. Honestly amazed the comments didn't jump all over this immediately.
Token creatures do enter the graveyard when they die (though they cease to exist once the player gets priority again). If Titania's effect didn't specify land "cards", these tokens would trigger the effect because they do enter the graveyard.
Just started the video, can anyone confirm that Titania gains life when the tokens from Awaken die? She says land *card*, which usually equates to nontoken? Just rather confused, I assume it works but can't write wrap my head around why.
Tokens technically go to the graveyard and then they get exiled, arena just doesn’t show that. It should work and if it doesn’t I would think it’s a bug EDIT: tokens are not cards, I was wrong
My first thought as well. Been looking for a way to make the titania meld package work better than the jund list I have been using. Morbid Opportunist, Fell Stinger and Phyrexian Rager all fill similar roles. Stinger seems like the most viable option to me though you would need to tweak the deck to have more of a token package. I've got 3 Rusteins so I might be able to make that work.
