This is extremely helpful. I am going to follow these recommendations and give you an update. Thank you for such a through and knowledgeable presentation
Timely advice. I am suffering from both split, cracked fingernails, as well as, cracked skin on my thumb, at the moment. I take most of the supplements you mention, except for iron. I am cautious about iron. I do manage to eat a fair amount of red meat, fish, seaweed, on a weekly basis. Also my morning smoothie usually has three Brazilnuts in it. Maybe I should cut back to one nut, though.😊 To conclude, I may not be taking enough of some of these supplements to make the difference. For example, 6000 iu of vitamin D3, daily. Is that enough? Thanks.
U might have a problem absorbing it. MTHFR they say. Healing ur gut is the first step. Taking methylated supplment will help. But u have to be strict on ur diet. Avoid sweet treats&alcohol worst.
I've heard you're born with the type of nails you have as thin or strong. The 'deficiencies' indicated by lines or shape of nails is what can be treated but not the strength. At least not long term. 💕
Please can you advise the best all around vitamin to take for rigged nails. Have just had bloods taken as they are really awful and not growing. I eat a healthy diet and take evening primrose and zinc. Thanks
I really liked your explanations so nicely, but one thing is that all those foods you mentioned will not be available in Kolkata, West Bengal. I would like to know the if there's any options.
@daviddowns7552 It is my impressions that the British pronunciation is approximately 'veetamins' whereas the Americans say 'vita mins' (to use your phonetic spelling). There are several differences between American and British pronunciation, since the Americans rely on Webster's Dictionary and the British use the Oxford Dictionary; I remember the comedian John Cleese commenting on this subject in a tv interview. Is one pronunciation more correct than the other?
These videos are great! They are free from distraction, and get straight to the general point. Very usable for general educational purposes.
