For those talking about turmeric---turmeric is activated by black pepper, meaning when you combine the two, pepper magnifies curcumin absorption, which is the beneficial part of Turmeric you want absorbed by your digestive system. It just requires a dash of black pepper to quadruple it's effectiveness.

My hubby made this mixture after I sent him the video. We still have to let it sit longer, but we already started taking a spoonful each day, since the ingredients themselves are very healthy right from the start. With honey it is very easy to take and the taste doesn't bother me at all, but I am in general not sensitive to flavors that others might not like. We will keep this concoction as a staple in our kitchen.
My Papa used to eat tons of fresh garlic on a slice of bread several times a week. The odor was horrendous all through his house, but I always believed in the healing power of garlic.

If you want to make peeling garlic cloves easy -- do this: Break the clove apart into smaller cloves and put the small cloves into a bowl or cup of warm water. Let them sit for half a minute and then the skin on the cloves will slide right off. This is especially helpful when you buy a large quantity and want to freeze them. To dry the cloves just put them on a kitchen towel or paper towel then bag them for freezing. Easy peasy.

Perhaps a word of warning…for those who wish to take raw garlic with their glass of lemon juice to help prevent ‘garlic breath’, this can lead to irritation of the stomach’s lining with discomfort & sometimes nausea resulting.
Raw garlic & it’s juice is quite strong, & an irritant to gastric lining for some people.
Perhaps trial a small amount first to see any effect, before jumping straight in😊

I have made this mixture and it is very good but seeing people cutting juicy lemons over a board, losing a lot of the juice drives me nuts. I cut the lemons, over a plate with a shallow rim, in four or six lengthwise sections to take out any seeds then I put them in my food processor to cut them up. As for the garlic (it can also be skinned in the food processor using the dough blade and short bursts) I cut off the root end which helps the skin to come off easily. One does the garlic part first, then the lemons, then I put both ingredients in a bowl and add the honey and stir lightly, then spoon the whole thing into a clean jar.
I realize this is a bit more work but it saves the juice and using the food processor cuts down on the chopping (I have arthritis in my hands) If no food processor is available, one can still follow the video doing the chopping etc by hand but using a plate for the lemons and a bowl to mix the whole thing in or maybe even stirring the lemon and garlic in the jar before adding the honey. Doing it my way has saved me a lot of work and a lot of lemon juice. This mixture really works and is delicious. I hope I have helped someone.

@@shantinaturechild6385 yes, whole cloves of garllic. i do a gallon jug with a metal flip top lid. about 2 to 4 lbs of garlic cloves peeled and then about 3 quarts (3 or 4 lbs of raw local honey and pore it in) keep lid unlocked but closed for a few days so gas can release. it will bubble up and stink a bit then after about 2 weeks i seal the lid and use when ever. the longer you let it set the better. burp it once in a while, every couple of weeks. i do the same for ginger & turmeric root. hope that helps. there is no exact measurements just make sure what you are putting in the honey will be completely submerged. also make sure be it garlic, turmeric or ginger that it is dry when it goes into the honey. I would add ginger, turmeric, ACV and oregano too...also be careful not to eat too much honey if you're trying to lose weight because it does count as an added sugar, it's just not inflammatory so it's healthier that cane or beat sugar, but will still metabolize into fat if you don't stay active. Adding MCT coconut oil and cinnamon could counter those effects though. I use cinnamon whenever I use honey because it helps even out the blood sugar spikes.

I could never really like the harsh bitterness of yellow grapefruits. The red ones are ok too me though, very nice as juice, especially when mixed with a little red orange juice.
(I read somewhere that there is over 40 kinds of bitter taste. So you cannot enjoy them all, I guess. Things like coffee and beer are bitter in ways that I enjoy more.)

If you are fermenting garlic, you’ll want to “burp” if for a few weeks. It releases gases as it ferments, so opening the lid for just a few seconds everyday for the first two or so weeks helps relieve that pressure building up inside the jar. Just a tip in case you don’t want a glass jar exploding in your refrigerator! 🤞

you could use the honing in 3 parts: some in the bottom of the jar, some on the garlic and the rest on top, this way it will get thoroughly mixed:) I have ajar since 2020 with the same mix. It may work only if you use it often for some months. Thank u anyway
