So far the best Sony A7S III video review I'd watched. The overall documentary was wonderfully made showing the low light capability of the camera, hands down to you and Sony. No overheating, no recording limitation, low light, ISO settings, stability is just fine beat Canon R5 & R6, image quality is amazing even when there's not enough light.

Many people watching reviews cus we are addicted to them . Thats why you create them cus it sells , but when I watching your mini docs with review I think I feel something , I watch something useful and I haven't waste my time . Keep going young minded man

Just chiming in along with everyone else to say I love the mini documentary format, and the creative eye you have for them.
That must have been a punishing run though!

This is the best format to showcase new kit, especially for those of us in the still photography community, *a perfect blend of technical and practical examples.* On a side note, hats off to Kana, such a great subject, gracious host, and cute as a button too! Cheers, Chris!

A funny true story about Sony's engineers and developing their first digital camera:
It was at a COMDEX show in Las Vegas in the late '80s or early '90s. (Sorry, I'm 74...)
I am a freelance commercial photographer and was invited to Sony's after-hours hospitality suite in the convention center Hilton Hotel to see their prototype digital still camera. (This was before they bought Minolta's photography line.) When I was handed the camera (and since I'm a pro photographer), I naturally turned the camera vertically to create some test portraits.
The camera was hooked up to a display in the room so everyone could see what the prototype was doing. Suddenly, the engineers fell dead silent and looked at each other with ashen faces... the camera's software sending the video signal to the display had no way to rotate the image. That made everyone in the room turn their heads to the side in order to see the portrait. Evidently, no one had considered *vertical* images! That sort of made sense seeing that Sony's background was television, not stills and in TV, it is rare that vertical images are needed.
IF back then I could see the future, I would have sold all my Kodak stock... Oh well.
    Terry Thomas...
    the photographer
    Atlanta, Georgia USA

Came for the camera review-- but got completely lost and mesmerized in the documentary. Beautifully shot! Also, love how Kana's passion for trail running takes her to the mountains-- and taking photos once she gets there is just the added bonus! Kudos Johnnie! And great work with the edit Luciano.

Same question here, Johnnie. Was constantly thinking of how many calories you burned, hahaha.
And that soundtrack on the doc is great (awesome job Luciano).
A7s3 - looks very promising. The ibis works well. Colors beautiful. And 16-bit.
Looking forward to Cinema5D team’s dynamic range tests.

Wonderful documentary, I love Japan, been to Tokyo many times, so really enjoyed the stories you choose to tell in this review and your Canon R6 review. I am also amazed at your moving (running) backward whilst filming amongst tree roots, but most of all I appreciate your honesty and creativity during this pandemic with all the restrictions. Oh, and I'm really impressed with what the camera can do as well - I think you've just scratched the surface of it's capabilities. Thanks Johnnie, Luciano and Kana.

Another great mini-doc! That type of mountain hiking is difficult and like she was saying, it uses different parts of the body. Tried something similar in Colorado once and one of my back knee joint/muscles still bothers me a bit when I push it. It's gotten better, but man, that downhill trek is rough! The A7s III is looking nice. :)
