I'm impressed. You recognized the mouth harp (by Chance, guy in back left) and the cicadas. Yes, they've been together for years except Chance is the new guy. I'm so glad that you paused several times to comment. Thanks.
Song originally published on 1913, and made popular in 2000 in the movie. Chance, back row dark vest, is making the mouthharp sound with his voice. They have made a slow doowop version of "Unchanged Melody " that is magnificent. They have several comedy type songs. The most fun is the Butts Remix.
Welcome to the world of Home Free - it's a long deep rabbit hole....but it's a lot of fun !!! They lean country but they do sing all genre's. I highly recommend their latest called *"The Driver"* , it's one of their best, and is a tribute to the truck drivers, and construction workers that keep America running !
Home Free are 5 of the most talented and skilled musicians in the musical arena today. Their mastery of the art of a cappella is insane. NO instruments. They are technically country, but can do any genre and absolutely crush it. If you begin the Home Free journey, you will never be disappointed. The jaw harp sound is being done by Adam Chance (Chance), the guy at the back with the orange colored hat who is the baritone/bass with a fine, smoky voice . The first guy to sing is the sky high tenor with a voice strong enough to bend steel, Austin Brown The man with the beard and glasses is Rob Lundquist with the voice as sweet and smooth as caramel with a bit of soul thrown in. The super bass with the 5 octave range is Tim Foust and the world class beat boxer/vocal percussionist is insanely talented and skilled Adam Rupp doing the percussion, and "no-monica.". The Home Fries absolutely adore their Home Free. They are so down to earth and humble they are the kind of guys anyone would have fun hanging out with. Check out their other videos on You Tube (over 250) they are great.
Best Acapella group ever. These guys can do it all. Their beatboxer/percussionist is amazing. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. You are going on an amazing journey.
Adam Rupp does the mouth harmonica - all his body, lungs, lips, tongue, teeth and mouth. YES! It’s his body! He is the most outstanding beatboxer that there is out there in the music industry!
I loved your reaction. I just discovered Home Free about a month ago and have happily gone down the rabbit hole. While they are considered “country” they do far more than that. Far more. I’m in my 60’s and was a devoted Doobie Brothers devotee and these guys do a great version (acapella) of Listen to the music. They are truly versatile.
This was my first Home Free song. There's a before and after this. I think they called Chance "Captain Chill" in one of the chats. They usually chat with us when they release a new video.
Everybody Walkin This Land, Hillbilly Bone, Butts Remix (an older one when Chris was with the band - replaced by Adam Chance), Helplessly Hoping, Sea Shanty Medley. THANK YOU! Love these guys. Ill be watching for more, because I can't get enough of them. 😁
The sound you hear is a jaw harp...done by mouth. Adam Chance, I think. Adam Rupp does the beatbox. You have been treated to Tim Foust' bass...he just sucked out your soul. You want Tim's deep bass, watch Tim Foust in Misty Mountains. The first tenor is Austin Brown, second tenor is Rob Linquist, bass is Tim Foust, baritone/bass Adam Chance, Beatboxer is Adam Rupp. Adam Rupp and his brother, Chris started this group.
Welcome to Home Free! Adam Chance ( called Chance) in the background with hat is the one doing the jaw harp sound. Adam Rupp is the talented beatboxer . Austin Brown (first singer) is the high tenor, your lookalike is Rob Lundquist is also a tenor with a soulful voice, and Tim Foust is the bass with a phenomenal range. They have so many songs that can fit any mood-Happy, patriotic, funny, serious, thoughful. They are considered a “country A cappella band”, but they do not exclusively stick to country.
Glad you found Home Free. They are such a talented group.. They all sing, even the vocal percussionist... Check out more of them... They sing all kinds of music... End Of The Road, Unchained Melody, When A Man Loves A Woman, American Pie performed with Don McLean... that's just a few that I would recommend to check out.. I just subscribed too...
Home free does not block their vids, so no need to filter. The beatboxer is one of the founders of the group, and a 2 time world champion. He and Rob Lundquist, the overall’s tenor are from Minnesota.High tenor is Austin Brown, from Georgia. Tim Foust has a multi octave range, very low to high, and the reason they have to bring there own speakers, having blown out so many. He is from Texas. Adam Chance, known as Chance is a baritone/base from Alabama. Always accapela unless instruments are in sight , which is rare. All can, and do, lead vocals depending on the song.
Home Free is amazing, 100% acapella, 100% wonderful! - You should really listen to their songs “Ain't Going Down Til the Sun Comes Up,” “Brothers in Arms,” “Mayday,” “One Man Band” “Butts Remix,” “Hillbilly Bone,” and “Elvira” for some real fun! Thanks for the reaction video, as a Home Fry myself I am always glad to see someone finding them for the first time!
You are one of the few, who catch Tim's dropping his bass, just after he sang. But so far, nobody has caught, that Austin (skinny lead singer) pitched a higher note, every time they sing the chorus.
I know everyone in Home Free is crazy talented, but sometimes I just feel a bit disappointed when Austin was totally ignored the whole video because everyone was fangirling over Adam and Tim but he was actually the lead here.
I've listened to scores upon scores of reactions to this cover by Home Free. And I've learned 2 shortcuts to the assess the reactors: #1 is how quickly they perceive that there is no harmonica, and you rank among the best there. #2 is whether they see fit to comment on Tim Foust's pitch drop in the chorus after his solo, here you qualify for the stratosphere. I can't be sure how many notice but don't comment on that drop in pitch, but I believe that feature is always worth noting. Congratulations on a terrific reaction. Oh, and check out their cover of "Ain't goin' down 'til the sun comes up". Adam Rupp, he who doesn't need no stinkin' harmonica, is let of the chain and does terrific harmonica solo work.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. From left to right: (Front row) Rob Lundquist, tenor, AKA The Beard. Soulful voice. Joined Home Free in 2008. From Minnesota. (Back row) Adam Chance, baritone/bass, AKA Chance. Overtone singing his specialty. Joined 2016. From Alabama. (Front row) Austin Brown, high tenor, AKA The Flirt. Almost operatic voice, never shrill, great pipes. Joined 2013. From Georgia. (Back row) Adam Rupp, beatboxer, AKA Freak of Nature. Founder (along with brother Chris) of Home Free in 2000. From Minnesota. (Front row) Tim Foust, bass, AKA Dragon Breath. Can break sound systems with that intense bass. Has 5 octave range! Joined 2012. From Texas. Some notes: Older videos (pre spring 2016) will feature Chris Rupp, who left in 2016 to pursue a solo career, and was replaced by Adam Chance. Tim in any video before July 2020 had long hair, which he'd been coloring to hide the gray. After that, folks hardly recognized him. The boys range in age from 35 to 40, with Tim being the oldest and Austin the youngest. They do a lot of covers and quite a bit of their own original music. Their catalog is up to at least 150 songs. Their videos are always great. Some are goofy, some are serious, but they ALWAYS put all their skills and effort into the music. No one is the "lead singer". With the exception of Adam Rupp, everyone gets lead roles depending on the song. For great lead roles for Adam Chance, check out "Some Girls Do", "Workin' for a Livin'", "I Can't Outrun You", and "Cover Me Up". Be sure you watch the part after the song "Cover Me Up" ends. Going to a Home Free concert this month; I went to one last year and it was a blast.
The mouth harp is being impersonated by Adam Chance using Mongolian Throat singing. There are videos on YT showing how to do throat singing. Home Free, Pentatonix and VoicePlay were all contestants on a TV "Sing Off" show. For more bass, check out VoicePlay doing "The Oogie Boogie Song" from Nightmare Before Christmas movie.. Their Bass "Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci, hits unbelievable bass notes! Thanks for your review!
Both VoicePlay and Home Free (the winner) were on Season 4 of the SingOff; Pentatonix won Season 3. Tim Foust, the bass of Home Free, was singing the lowest bass on that show. He has a 5+ octave range (G0-A5), still the lowest voice of the three groups.
The few times Pentatonix has used actual instruments in their songs, the instrument is upfront and obvious. Usually it is Kevin's cello, a guest performer with her violin and once with a piano. Voice Play has used a violin in their songs once or twice, but Home Free, other than in their solo projects, I don't believe have ever used a musical instrument, unless you want to count Adam who has a whole drum kit in his mouth. Check out Adam's drum solo, live performance in a red flannel shirt, you will be amazed and understand how he won several major beat boxing championships.
They deliberately emphasized the twang to pay homage to the original which dates back to 1913. Adam Rupp is their world class beatboxer and was the one doing the harmonica. Chance, {Adam Chance} is doing the Jew's harp and sings baritone but has enough range to carry the bass line when needed. Austin is singing lead tenor here and has a higher and sharper sound. Rob is singing second tenor and has a softer sound. Tim Foust is a world class bass with a 5-octave range. If you want to see him get really low, then watch Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust singing Misty Mountains. Tim has been known to blow out speakers when they are touring. All of them can sing lead and do so in different songs. It is a very deep rabbit hole when you start looking into Home Free, they have so many great songs. You might even find yourself a Home Fry, {Home Free Fan}.
Thank you so much for the wonderful Home Free reaction! They are hands down the best a Capella group around (in my opinion)..familiar songs they covered are When a Man Loves a woman, End of the road, Crazy, and a fantastic pop melody…Brothers in Arms, In the blood are fantastic! Sea Shanty Melody is also fun! So much great stuff to choose from them. I hit subscribe for more wonderful reactions! Thank you!🤗❤️
Greetings from a danish fry/new sub just a friendly warning when you say you like our guys THE FRIES [ fanname ] will come runing and we are a very loyal bunch . Home Free label themself as an all male vocal country group but they sing all genres Country/Pop/Rock/Rap/R and B/Motown/Ballads you name it they sing it , this rabbit hole is very deep HF has about 150 official musicvideos and YOU WILL NOT FIND 1 BAD ONE . Much love from Denmark
You may appreciate the importance of them doing the 2021 remake of American Pie with Don McLean. Chance took the first lead after Don and does a great job on a wide part (baritone + tenor) with hard technical features.
Welcome to our home free world. We the fans are called the home fries. They do everything a capella. The beat boxer is Adam Rupp. There is no one better. Tim Foust is the bass. There are tons of home free songs. They are a country band with a lot of other stuff. The one with the red beard is Austin. He is the most talented high tenor I know. Check out When a man loves a woman. If you want to hear more bass then go to brothers in Arms. Chance and Tim share the lead on that one. I wish you a great time with home free. Soon you will be a home fry too😄
No instruments for either Penatonix or Home Free. Home Free won the Sing-off the year after Penatonix. Both are fantastic. Watching both for years and still in awe.
Home Free was founded by the beatboxer and his brother in 2000. The current group has been together since 2016. They usually sing songs with them sharing lead, but if you want see each shine as the lead singer, here's a list. (front row from left to right) Rob Lundquist, Tenor, End of the Road. Austin Brown, High Tenor ,When a Man Loves a Woman. Tim Faust, Bass, Brothers in Arms. (back row from left) Adam Chance, Baritone, Castle on the Hill. And Adam Rupp, Vocal Percussionist, one of his live solo performances. You can't go wrong with these guys.
These guys will not disappoint with anything they put out, the group started in the early 2000's, the current group has been together since about 2015. The high tenor is Austin Brown, the guy with the full beard is Rob Lundquist, he's a tenor also, the guy in the lighter colored hat is Adam Chance, he's the newest member and is a baritone with a 4 octave range, the base guy is Tim Foust, base profundo, he has a legit 5 octave range, the guy playing the harmonica is Adam Rupp, he's one of the original founding members. In earlier videos you'll see a different guy instead of Chance, that's Chris Rupp, Adam's brother ( the other founding member), he left to pursue a solo career and help his sister get her music career going. His departure made room for Chance. They use his last name because they already had an Adam. Check out Ring of Fire feat. Avi from Pentatonix, if you want to hear their awesome 5 part harmony listen to Helplessly Hoping (a Crosby, Stills, & Nash cover), if you want to hear more harmonica check out a newer release of Garth Brooks Ain't going down till the sun comes up. Adam will morph from the harmonica to an electric guitar. An absolutely gorgeous cover of How Great Thou Art is another 5 part harmony, also Auld Lang Sign (I know I didn't spell that right) are both amazing. Just get really familiar with the guys and their respective parts before you listen to Mayday. You'll be a Home Fry before this is over.
Home Free does not use instruments unless you see them in the videos. It is very rare. I believe the same is true of Pentatonix, and the third of the acapella pantheon, Voiceplay. In the older videos, instead of Adam Chance (back row in vest, did the jaw harp), you will see Chris Rupp, brother of the beatboxer Adam Rupp. Some good ones are the Butts Medley, Helplessly Hoping. American Pie (with Don McLean), God Bless the USA (with Lee Greenwood and the USAF Singing Sergeants), Do You Hear What I Hear, End of the Road, Elvira (with the Oak Ridge Boys), How Great Thou Art, In the Blood, and When a Man Loves a Woman. One of my personal faves is Joy to the World, done very jazzy.
I'm a home fry (fan of Home Free). My fellow fries have given some great suggestions - one piece of advice, don't react to "Mayday" until you're about 7-8 videos in. You really need to know the group and their roles first. "Take Me Home Country Roads" is a great place to start. It's a ballad style with r&b/gospel influences. Great reaction! Can't wait for more. 💙🍟
Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. There is no lead singer in Home Free. They look at every song whose voice suits it best, the best harmony, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). .. This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing. Take the time to discover Home Free because it will be a great tour. For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group I'm a Home Fry from the Netherlands.
So many comments before mine have said so much already so I'll just add 'Fasten your seat belt you're in for an amazing ride!" Home Free offers a WIDE range of genres to choose from, each song/cover stays true to original with a special Home Free tweak that always amazes! They have no permanent lead singer, they vote on who is best suited for each song. Hope you choose "American Pie" with original singer/writer Mr. Don McLean, Mr. McLean chose Home Free to do his 50th Anniversary recording of his beloved icon song. Glad to have subbed can't wait to see more of your Home Free reactions. Thanks for the joy!
This song blew me away when I first heard it. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. Welcome to the Home Free journey. You will not be disappointed.
Yep, the dude in the back is Adam Chance (Chance since there are two Adams) and he's the one doing the jaws harp. His most recent lead is with Tim Foust (basso profundo with almost six octaves) doing a cover Dire Straits Brothers in Arms -- fantastic. There are no, zip, nada instruments used , except I think it's Born in the USA where Chance has lead and plays guitar. In their solo pieces, they usually have accompaniment. You're gonna really enjoy this journey down the Home Free rabbit hole. Their fans are Home Fries and they will keep you up on everything you want to know about our guys and guaranteed to be reflected on your channel.
Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinct southern (bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Austin's twang is legit--he's from southern Georgia. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly! Some of my favorites are "Working for a Living", "Land of the Free", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", and "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page).
Austin Brown- skinny high tenor - is from Tipton, GA. Tim Foust, deep bass, is from southeast west Texas. Adam Chance, who did the mouth harp, and baritone/bass, is from Alabama. Rob Lundquist, your beard twin, is from MN. And the beatboxer, Adam Rupp is from MN as well. Current group has been together about 5 - 6 years. Group formed in 2000 in MN, and only has one original member, Adam Rupp, left. Rob is next longest tenure, then Tim, then Austin, then Chance
Welcome to the best acapella group out there imo. Hoping to add another home fry to the mix. Keep the Home Free coming and i will sub and go on the ride with you!
I just subscribed for more HOME FREE Welcome to HOME FREE !! HOME FREE is a county A Capella band (NO INSTRUMENTS) that does more than just country. Tim Foust, the bass (5 octave range) , Adam Rupp, the beatboxer (freak of nature), Adam Chance (Chance) is the baritone/bass, since 2016, he took over for Chris Rupp (one of the founders of the group), Rob Lundquist, tenor and Austin Browmn high tenor make up the voices of angels. PLEASE listen to more.. If I know my Home Free family well (Home Fries) , they have already given you suggestions of music. LOL Thanks for the reaction
Love the Red Green poster on the wall behind you! Yes, they are completely a cappella. Home Fry here (Home Free fan). Loved your reaction to the video I saw first and was immediately hooked by! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole … and Home Fries will come and point the way (but don’t worry, on the whole, we’re a pretty enthusiastic but friendly group🙃). I caution you not to react to Mayday until you know the guys and what they do. 😉 Let’s introduce you to our guys: Front left in the video, we have the silky smoothness of tenor Rob “the beard” Lundquist. His lead in End of the Road is a must-see. I also love him in Bless the Broken Road, and Blue Ain’t Your Color, just to name a few. Back left is baritone/bass Adam Chance, called Chance due to another Adam in the group. He took over for co-founder Chris Rupp, who left on good terms to pursue other things. Chance is the one doing the mouth harp here. I love his lead in Helplessly Hoping, Sea Chanty Medley, Winter Song, One Man Band, and Brothers in Arms - a fantastic tribute to troops and an absolute must see! Center is the high tenor, the fabulous Austin Brown. When A Man Loves a Woman. That’s all that needs to be said. Seriously. Back right is “suspenders”, founding member Adam “freak of nature” Rupp, tenor/beatboxer/vocal percussionist. He has several good drum solos (I recommend the one where he’s wearing the red plaid shirt), and to see his genius for arrangement, Do You Hear What I Hear, which (in my opinion) not only shows all individual talents, but also how well they blend as a group. In that video, you also see Chris Rupp. I highly recommend watching Adam’s “nomonica” in Ain’t Goin Down (Til the Sun Comes Up), which is only on Facebook due to some kind of copyright issue (but you can react to it on YT). It is amazing. Last, but not least, front right, basso profundo with a 5+ octave range: Tim Foust, who is apparently part dragon. His range, control, and breath support on his low notes is out of this world. He co-leads in Brothers in Arms. You should also check the collaboration with Avi Kaplan (former PTX bass) in Ring of Fire. I also love him in Hillbilly Bone, The Butts Remix (which should be watched for comedic value alone!), All About the Bass, and Champagne Tastes (which he wrote). There are several videos of “Uncle Tim Runs His Mouth” or “Story Time With Tim” that are pretty funny and worth watching. To see their amazing harmonies, see How Great Thou Art, Mary Did You Know, and (again) Brothers in Arms. I also recommend Tim’s collaboration with Peter Hollands in Misty Mountains. These guys switch leads depending on who they think will be the best. They have no egos, and collaborate with other groups/artists frequently. They lean country, but obviously do many styles of music. They are amazing, talented artists and genuinely nice, funny, down to earth people, too. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. It’s deep, but you’ll never want to escape!
Dave, glad you liked the guys. They've got REALLY short covers they do of a Crosby Stills and Nash song called "Helplessly Hoping" and of the Eagle's "Seven Bridges Road". My recommendation on most of their covers is to listen to the original (if you're not already familiar) in order to see either how faithfully Home Free stay to it or how they completely make it their own.
Oh, you will get lots of new subscribers now! I fell down a Home Free rabbit hole and am now a HUGE fan! Can't wait to see you react to more of their stuff!
Guy at the back in the waist coat is doing the mouth harp His name is Adam Chance, Harmonica/beat boxer is Adam Rupp, Bass dude is Tim Foust, little Rap bit near the end is Rob Lundquist, guy with a twang/yodel is Austin Brown welcome to home free Try a few of their early songs before Adam chance who joined in 2015 Next song to listen is Ring of Fire with Avi Kaplen from Pentatonix an Original song Champagne taste on a beer budget All about the base for some fun Also Butts Medley same reason last with Chris Rupp adams Brother Origanal founder of the group (2000was year group was formed) do you hear what i hear (yes it is Christmas but is fantastic Chris Rupp I'm moving on (with home free) Recomend you also check out season 4 of the sing off Guilty pleasures around 2014 for Adam Rupp singing Also a drum solo for Adam Rupp Current line up Some girls Do and Hopelessly helping (Adam Chance) nEVER GOING TO GIVE YOU UP AND eND OF THE ROAD (Rob Lunquist) Meet in the Middle and When a man Loves a woman (Austin Brown) next an last member is a different story, he is the BASS of the band Take your pick from (Brothers in arms, Everybody Walking this Land, Foulsom Prison Blues) If you have followed the list you will be ready to React to Home Free mayday Enjoy the Home Free/Fries rabbit hole you have journeyed into Plenty more songs to discover
Hi Dave! I just came from your reaction to "Helplessly Hoping" - which was fantastic! I really hope you want to grow your channel because the second we Home Fries find you, you'll be bombarded with views/likes and subs!
Tim Foust did the bass solo but when they all joined in and the bass went even lower, that super low voice was Adam Chance, the one with the vest and hat. I don't think I have EVER heard a reactor give him the credit for doing this. People always assume that because Tim has such a low voice that he dropped it down a notch and made that super low voice as well but that was Adam Chance. He's also the one who makes the didgeridoo or mouth harp sound at the beginning and ending of the song. If you watch carefully, when the song is ending and the beatboxer and the didgeridoo are the only sounds clearly heard, you can see that it is Adam Chance making that sound. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp, and he is credited with being the best beatboxer of any music genre...period!
welcome to the Home Free family. They are putting out more video content than anyone I can think of. A few to point out that you may wanna check out, Children go where I send thee, done with the legend himself Kenny Rogers, they did God bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, they did American Pie with Don MacLean, they did Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boy's, they did Christmas in Dixie with Alabama. They do mostly covers but have unbelievable original songs also. Not to mention they do solo projects with other artist and by themselves.
You got my sub! So the bass singer Tim Foust was a substitute teacher for math. Can you imagine getting him as your sub in jr high! Nightmares forever! But honestly they are all genuinely nice, humble, talented, like each other, and have their spouses involved in their videos. Try Country Fried POP Medley. Instead of Chance you have an original member and brother of Adam beatboxer named Chris (the hat guy). When you know them a little better we will get you doing some live show antics that will make you laugh so hard you will lose you breath!
dave here too. You are about to have so much fun. Best arrangement: Do you hear what I hear. best solo: when a man loves a woman, beard/hat lead: One man band, Best cover: End of the Road, Most shocking and my fave: (save for later after you get to know them - Mayday. And they do individual projects that will slay you. See Tim Faust"Come stay with me. Fasten your seat belt
Please note: you won't need the filter for most of their videos. They own the rights after they got out from their 2013 Sony contract (which was part of their Sing-Off 4th season win). Ain't Going Down Till the Sun Comes Up is the only exception I know about; they's only on their Facebook page. And speaking of exception, the only song I've seen the group do with an instrument is Chance playing the guitar in Born in the USA. Tim, Chance, and Austin have friends they perform with away from Home Free who do play guitar, piano, and the like.
The dude in the back with the lighter colored hat is Adam Chance, the baritone/bass. He is doing the mouth harp in this song. “Helplessly Hoping”, “Some Girls Do”, “Dive Bar Saints”, “Try Everything”, and “One Man Band” are some songs that he has solos in. There are no instruments for Home Free except on “Born In the USA” where Chance plays guitar. First singer in this one is Austin Brown, he’s a tenor from Georgia. Next was Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses), he’s a tenor from Minnesota, Tim Foust (pronounced Fowst) is the bass with a 5 octave range from Texas, and last but definitely not least is Adam Rupp the beatboxer and human drum kit from Minnesota. When he does sing, he sings tenor. He co-founded the group with his brother Chris, who left the group amicably in 2016 to pursue a solo career.
Awesome response! Try these works by them, with Don McLean, with oak ridge boys, with Lee greenwood, butts medly, unchained melody, when a man loves a woman..they are UNIQUELY GREAT! peace from Michigan
My guys!! I love Home Free. There is nothing like them anywhere. They sing an amazing amount of different kinds of songs and all of them are excellent 🐝🤗❤️ btw… the guy doing the jaw harp was the guy in the back with the brown hat. His name is Chance.❤️
I LOVED your reaction! It is very similar to mine when I first heard them/this about six months ago. But I didn't know they were a capella and just assumed there were instruments that weren't in the video due to creative license, etc. Boy, was I wrong!! I have gone down the Home Free rabbit hole and haven't looked back. Everything they do is magic! They always have amazing vocals. You can't go wrong with anything they have done. Helplessly Hoping is probably one of my favorites, but really they are all amazing. I hope you react to more, so I have subscribed!
YES mouth harp sound from Chance =Adam Chance doing throat singing. The rest is the Amazing Adam Rupp freak of nature champion beatboxer. They all do lead açcording who suits the song best.
That was fun to watch all the surprises tucked in this one. Mr mouth harmonica Rupp one ups himself in the cover they recently released "ain't going down" (on facebook). Their Butts Medley is both hilarious and a rather brilliant arrangement
Not going to run out of videos. They have north of 150 vids out now. They are incredibly talented . Each person is a strong link within the band. The beatboxer is beyond human what he can do. Vocally the other three switch ranges. I'd like to see you react to a cover ..... Actually any cover they do is actually an upgrade..... When they cover a song it's always better. That being said. I'd like to see you do their cover of a Crosby stills and Nash song called helplessly hoping. . You will hear all the voices. Another that I feel is the best cover anyone has ever done of any song is their version of when a man loves a woman. Thanks for giving them a listen. You have broadened you're horizons hugely
Wish I'd found you 2 days ago when you reacted to this! I LOVED your fun reaction! These guys are THE best, most talented a cappella group & THE most fun goofballs...period! Their rabbit hole is about 200 videos deep! If you actually see this, a video to help you learn their names right off the bat is "Workin' for a Livin", a Huey Lewis & the News cover. The have their own amazing originals too! I immediately subscribed to watch you fall even more "in love" with Home Free! 😊
Home Free fans are called Home Fries!! You are just at the beginning of your Home Free journey!!! You are going to have SO much fun!!
Wonderful reaction. Thank you for actually listening.
Every single singer is amazing. So many great songs to listen to.
Yes, everything you heard is made without instruments...they are all very talented.
Home Free is simply the best out there. 5 of the most talented men on Earth
No instruments but the human voice......live is just as impressive.
Best acapella group there is! Home Free is my favorite, just beautiful harmonies. I found them about 6 months ago and I can’t get enough of them!!!
This was my first Home Free song. There's a before and after this. I think they called Chance "Captain Chill" in one of the chats. They usually chat with us when they release a new video.
Down that rabbit hole of Home Free. Enjoy.
Go down the Home Free rabbit hole and all we Home Fries will go down it with you! It’s a fun ride for sure. ❤️
Oh man you just entered a whole new world of incredible music with home free welcome to the rabbit hole and enjoy your journey
You are correct, the jaw harp was Chance.
Exactly, and how he got all gritty and dark in his voice (this is his "bass" voice).
@@hellefur6631 I also think he let his accent loose the most in this song...? not sure if he did the same in others
They are able turn the twang on when needed and turn it off when it is not appropriate.
Pentatonix and Home Free are both acapella groups/no instruments. These guys are AWESOME!! ❤
The guy you wanted to hear sing is the one doing the jaw harp. Great reaction friend, God Bless ❤️✌️
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole.
From left to right:
(Front row) Rob Lundquist, tenor, AKA The Beard.
@@DeerlyMusical2
True! And I think after Tim's low bass note at the end of "Ring Of Fire", judge Ben Folds said " I felt that in my Butt"! 🤣👍😎
Thank you Bob R for telling us that Adam Chance uses Mongolian Throat Singing and there are videos on Y showing how to do it !!!!!
Hello home fry from Denmark😀Greetings from a German fry. I am only two hours away from Denmark.....depends on the traffic😄
You may appreciate the importance of them doing the 2021 remake of American Pie with Don McLean. Chance took the first lead after Don and does a great job on a wide part (baritone + tenor) with hard technical features.
I love this group of talented men. Please do more Home Free reactions.
Nice reaction. You caught more than most reactors.
So fun to see a first reaction.
A please check out more Home Free!!!!! Any of their songs are amazing.
Helplessly hoping is ridiculously good
I'm a home fry (fan of Home Free).
For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group
I'm a Home Fry from the Netherlands.
One of my Favorite Reactions! 😊
You need to hear Mary did you know By this Group omg 🤯🤯🤯🤯❤️❤️❤️
Home Free does not need instruments-so very talented!! 💗
Home Fry here. So glad you stumbled upon this rabbit hole. Once a Fry, nothing else will do. Subscribing today!
Home Free did a beautiful job on the song "Mary Did You Know", too.
I am a man!!!
Beat boxer has a special mic...
The look on your face when the bass singer started to solo was priceless...
Welcome to the best acapella group out there imo. Hoping to add another home fry to the mix. Keep the Home Free coming and i will sub and go on the ride with you!
Love the Red Green/Possum Lodge stuff in the background, as well as your amazing reaction to this amazing song. Really enjoyed the video!
Keep your stick on the ice!
Youre going to really enjoy going down this rabbit hole!!!!........They are AWESOMW!!!!
oops....AWESOME!!!!!
My favorite part of this when Adam, the beatboxer plays the NO-Monica lol
I get to meet Tim (the guy with the super deep voice) in July in Nashville....Very excited!
I just subscribed for more HOME FREE
Welcome to HOME FREE !!
Yes it is, and yes he is!!!
Let’s introduce you to our guys: Front left in the video, we have the silky smoothness of tenor Rob “the beard” Lundquist.

Hi Dave! I just came from your reaction to "Helplessly Hoping" - which was fantastic! I really hope you want to grow your channel because the second we Home Fries find you, you'll be bombarded with views/likes and subs!
That guy does not have a harmonica in his mouth! Lmao we refer to it as a no Monica! HOMEFREE RULES! LOVE UR REACTION!😁
O Holy Night , Ring of Fire are a must listen andcreaction .
welcome to the Home Free family.
Jaw Harp is Adam Chance ! the No monica is Adam Rupp (beatboxer) founding member in 2000.
Fun reaction, nice job catching Tim's drop after the bass solo! Subbed for your journey down the rabbit hole!
dave here too.
Listen to the cover of "Ain't Goin Down 'til the Sun Comes Up"! Adam will blow your socks off! Austin has the twang; he's from Tifton, Ga
Lol, dude you had me rolling, Home Free Groupy!!! HILLARIOUS, loved your reaction. I subscribed and smashed the like button!!!
He is the beatbox world champ✌️.that's how he can make the sounds. They all add their own sounds
Silent Night (audio only) has a violin solo. When the Devil Went Down to Georgia ft Charlie Daniels had (of course) fiddle solos. (Also audio only).
The lead tenor, Austin, is from Tipton GA
I’m subscribing because I need to see your journey into home free!
Another home fry subscribing.
Great reaction guy, if you want more of Rob with the beautiful tenor voice, give a listen to “End of the road “. Rob shines🎶🎶💕💕🦋
About the Harmonica: ask Michael Winslow....
He's a Soundmaschine!
For a totally different vibe, check out End of the Road
The guy with the hat in front is actually the high tenor in the group. He’s from Georgia
That's Chance using harmonic overtone singing to do a Jaw Harp sound. Dark vest and hat.
22 times tim foust went subwoofer mode reaction 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The beatboxer, Adam Rupp, plays the "no-monica"!!! Welcome to the best acapella group out there! :)
I love that you noticed how deep Tim went AFTER his solo part. It's insane. Not many point that out.
That was fun to watch all the surprises tucked in this one.
Mr mouth harmonica Rupp one ups himself in the cover they recently released "ain't going down" (on facebook).
Their Butts Medley is both hilarious and a rather brilliant arrangement
❤️❤️❤️
