First time seeing Adam’s drum solo at a concert, my jaw hit the floor and stayed there for whole performance. Its amazing!
He is truly amazing! I can only imagine what he is like now!
Adam Plays the Trumpet, the Drums, the Bass Guitar and the Keyboard. I have watch this so often that I can hear him breath. He makes sounds on inhale and the exhale which I think is so amazing. He has such a honey sweet tenor voice when he sings. I watch and listen to "How great thou art just to hear he short solo.
I figured he played more instruments but I didn’t think it was that many! I still gotta check out that song too. I would love to hear his singing capabilities
We all say that. Adam can do drums, harmonica, guitars all without the instruments! He’s even better now but uses a looper machine where he does the sound into it and records it and overlays other sounds on it. He’s a magician!!! He does a solo at every concert. Amazing!🥰😃

Adam taught himself to play drums so his physical movements would be as accurate as possible. So yeah he knew how to make all the sounds before learning to actually play a kit. He is impressive and I love his double kick drum sounds so good live.
That’s amazing! To me it takes even more talent to do it like that
Adam said that he learned just enough of playing drums so that he can sound authentic. BTW.... He can sing too 🙂

He was an amazing then but he’s absolutely incredible now.
He now uses a looper to make his own song and beat
He was a trumpet performance major in college he can play keyboard , bass guitar and most band instruments he learned enough drums to perfect the sound and movements 😊

My undestanding is he can play Trumpet, Drums, Keyboard and Bass Guitar.
My understanding is he learned the basics of drums to help with his beatboxing when he was a teenager, but he had at least some professional training on drums (specializing in Jazz) when he was getting his Music Degree.

He's kind of the perfect storm when it comes to beat boxing. Part drums, part vocal and part trumpet. Beat, Breath control, Lip muscles, etc.

Home Free is one of my favorite acapella groups along with their friends from The Sing-Off VoicePlay #TheatreKidsOfACapella. They cover everything from Metallica to Disney. Their bass Geoff Castellucci and founding member does Low bass covers on his own channel. They never disappoint.

There would be no Home Free without Adam Rupp, not only is he the last original member, but I truly believe he does this because he loves this group. This man could be flexing around the world, but he is with a group of people that keep making music fun.

If you want to hear Adams floor toms You have to watch Listen to the Music a cover of a Doobie brothers classic which they used 2 kits to get the full sound and as you'll see Adam is a beast in that one.

Fabulous reaction to the great Adam Rupp. What I love most watching him is his great sense of rhythm. All his drum and beatboxing solos are highly composed. For Christmas, you should react to Home Free's Do You Hear What I Hear, which Adam arranged. It's something else! Bless you.

That was definitely one of the best analysis of Adam's beatboxing I've seen. The only "method" I know he uses is Mongolian Throat Singing for the didgeridoo sounds. Adam Chance uses the same technique to imitate the jaw harp. Adam does have a short UA-cam video on how he does the harmonica sound. Personally, I think Adam Rupp is an Alien 👽!!!

Adam Rupp's primary instrument is trumpet, but he also plays drums, keyboard, and bass guitar. The group said he can pretty much play any instrument he picks up though.

In a interview they were asked about their ranges and Tim said that Adam has the widest range and the other guys agreed and then Tim said that many thought that he hit an A0 in their cover of -- SOLD but it was Adam using his throat singing

You just have to because he is so unbelievably good(and handsome too😊😍)!! Like he swallowed a drum kit. And then vocally he can also make so many more (instrument) sounds which is not normal

Not only does it sound great but I’m blown away because I imagine that so many of those things (like inserting a flare or whatever) while doing something more bass requires entirely different mouth, tongue and muscle placements and breath techniques. He makes something so hard look easier than it is.

Adam does a solo set at every show and when I got to see him perform live it was jaw droppingly good. He's only gotten better in the years since this performance. Now he uses a loop station and creates what I call beat box symphonies. He is creative, electrifying and exciting. Loved your reaction. Best reaction of this performance I've seen.

Wasn't that great! Love Adam Rupp & his insane talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.
Appreciate u for sharing this. This was an absolute joy to watch and being that I have a drumming background made it even better
