A Home Fry joke about our Home Free Gentlemen is that they have 5 tenors, 5 beatboxers, 2 baritones, 2 basses and one freak of nature. As you get to know them you will see! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. And dare I say welcome to the Home Fries 🏡 🍟?
May I add here, 3 basses as I believe, while Chance was participated in the higher range, and Tim was killing it in Bass, there were like a higher bass tone as well. I think it was Adam Rupp that was participating in the bass section
This is a masterclass in 5 part harmony. Absolutely brilliant and Tim's bass riding underneath and throughout is like listening to a church organ. Sheer perfection.
I am cracking up! Every time you asked, "did you hear that", I'll bet every Home Fry was nodding their head yes, and waiting for your reaction😁 Us Home Fries don't mind the pauses, we understand. Can't wait for the next one💖💖💖
Don McLean requested Home Free to record with him a new version of American Pie for the 50th anniversary of the song last year. Each of the guys takes a verse in this video.
Pause all you want! Dave, no reasonable home fry expects you to catch everything. 😆 You know more about music than you think. These boys harmonies are stunning. They're just insanely talented. Great reaction, I really enjoyed it! 💙🍟
Ha, you said, "Hold on, I gotta here cost again", and I thought, I can't wait til you hear that "lost" note! Great reaction, definitely don't mind the pauses and rewinds!
Awesome reaction! Welcome the Home Free rabbit hole. Here are some fun songs to react to Can't Stop the Feeling, Butt's Remix, All about that Bass just to name a few.
The way they do this song with the clean, simple delivery and the light echo/reverb makes them sound naked and vulnerable but then it seems to make the listener more naked and exposed and then those new chord entries hit harder down deep in your soul. It doesn't hurt to start with a great song in the first place.
Gotta credit the writer... just an awesome song. Steven Stills hit it out of the park, way back in the year I was born. Home Free's interpretation is probably my favorite performance of the song.
Hi Dave, You have a good ear and good attention to details. So nice Welcome Home Fry Something I’ve noticed from listening to home free throughout the years anytime you hearing them and one of the guys that doesn’t seem prominent in that song then he’s actually probably the most crucial because it means usually he is “laying it down” and “holding it all together” 😊
Yes I'm a real Home Fry from the Netherlands. This is so super sung with great harmonies from all five members. The black and white video really finishes it off. So short, but oh so powerful!
I actually believe Adam Rupp has the widest tonal range....he can rock the bass with his deep throat rolls and then hit the highs with the nomonica and DJ scratching etc....
Loving your channel!! NOW time for Home Free chills. "Brothers in Arms" a Dire Strait cover. All five sing and Chance has his moment and shares with Tim. Warning: Chilling, Emotional and breathtakingly beautiful. Another song where all five sing is "How Great Thou Art" the MOST beautiful redition of this song I've ever heard and I've heard 100's over the course of 75yrs.
Adam Chance was in another group prior to Home Free, Street Corner Symphony. He was the bass in that group but usually sings in the baritone range with Home Free. When Chance joined the group it freed up Tim Foust to sing in higher octaves as they now have two people who can cover the bass notes. In Brothers in Arms, Chance sings bass and Tim Foust sings in his deep bass or basso profundo range. The other three sing in their tenor ranges. Austin is a high tenor , Adam Rupp and Rob Lundquist are both tenors.
Of all the reaction videos of this song that I've watched, you are the only one who actually noticed and pointed out that long sustained note by one of the guys. Thanks for going back and replaying it. I didn't notice it so much until you pointed it out. It is one of the many unique features that Home Free added to their arrangement of this timeless song. Thanks!
You are correct, when Rob joined in, he was singing in unison with Chance. They are so good, they sound like one individual. Hard to start, stop, and make the same vowel sounds this precise to one another. Takes a lot of practice and a lot of talent!
Oh my gosh! Loved this reaction, and I was nodding and telling you that you were right about their names. Hello from a TN Home Fry. And please let us know what your dad thinks.
Glad you liked this this was Great reaction to a beautiful 5 part harmony song. A great next song that features tenor Rob Lundquist ( beard and glasses) is the Boyz2Men classic END OF THE ROAD. Rob is the lead and just nails that song. You are in for a great journey with Home Free. Many Home Fries say that that Home Free does not do covers they do upgrades which you just attested to. They do many different genres : soul , R&B, rock, gospel, and country and have around 200 videos to chose from. Enjoy your journey and have a blessed day.
There's nothing better than an enthusiastic reactor!! Excellent reaction!! Take Me Home Country Roads is a good one, also One Man Band. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their songs. I'll be along for the ride.
This is an exquisite 5-part harmony masterpiece. For every song I've heard Home Free do, I end up loving the HF covers a LOT more than the originals 😍 Besides the unbelievable harmonies, getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is such a great treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ HF's version of "My Country 'Tis of Thee" is one you definitely should check out--amazing!!! (And it showcases a bit of Adam's voice too 🥰)
I grew up listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. This song is full of alliterations. Home Free more than does justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.
I hope you also notice Adam Rupp's beautifully subtle low tenor added to the presentation. No beatbox or percussion here, just voices ethereally presently individual aloneness.
Great reaction…nice to see a reactor who takes the time to a) learn the names b) listen to the original before to get ready for the upgrade you get from Home Free. If you liked the Eagles, and tight harmonies, check out Seven Bridges Road. It’s older (Chance hadn’t joined yet… Adam Rupp’s brother Chris, who is a co-founder with Adam, is with the band but it makes no difference whatsoever). Another beatbox-less song with great harmonies and a short Adam Rupp solo is the Christian classic “How Great Thou Art". Even if you’re not religious, the harmonies and scenery will still impress. I second the recommendations of When a Man Lives a Woman and End of the Road. Great job! Staying tuned for more.
Heads up: Seven Bridges tends to not make it thru the copy right so make sure you pause the video & than it usually lets you play it. Thanks for your reaction!
if you want to hear tim actually sing low low low you need to watch their sea shanty medley. i saw them several times in 2021 and every auditorium vibrated and shook from tim's low singing the entirety of the song . also adam rupp kills it with the vocal percussion, he actually does castanets along with his drums in the last song
Home Free is something else - they are so in sync with each other, their harmonies are as tight as you can get and even after listening to them for quite some time now I still can't wrap my head around how only 5 people can produce a sound similar to a huge pipe church organ. They have 4 stellar lead vocal with wide ranges (Tim, deepest of basses who rattles chairs and ribcages on a regular basis has a 5 octave range and can easily sing nearly as high as Austin in high tenor) and the beatboxer Adam is called "living drumkit" for a reason. It makes them incredibly versatile not to mention the fact they are able to make you cry with one song and double over from laughing with the next all the while obviously having fun with what they are doing and staying down to earth and reaching out for their fans. During the lockdown they went out of the way to produce one video after another from their respective homes to keep it touch and lift the spirit at trying to make people laugh. They never disappoint.
You are correct, Rob and Chance were singing unison (same melody) on the first verse. It almost creates a chorus effect when you have two voices singing unison together.
Hi Dave! First, I just subbed to your channel because I saw you were reacting to a Home Free song and have reacted to "Man of Constant Sorrow" (I don't use "cover" for HF - mainly because they do upgrades!) Second, I loved your reaction! Last, but not least, I bought that CSN album when it was released and played this song until it wouldn't play anymore, so I think I'm a fair judge of what HF can do. Tim is bass (and does have a ridiculous 5 octave range), Chance is baritone/bass, Adam is low-mid tenor (when not beatboxing), Rob is a "true tenor" and Austin is a counter-tenor. I just saw them in concert in February and will be seeing them again in August. They are just as pure in person as they are on "studio recordings!" Adam will use a looper when he has more than one instrument he vocalizes: he did it concert to show us why/how. As for your venture down the HF rabbit hole...to (slightly misquote) Kevin Costner in "Field of Dreams" - "Build it and they will come" - react to Home Free and the Home Fries will follow you. We're a dedicated bunch, and I believe rightfully so! Thank you so much, Dave, for this reaction and I'm going to go listen/watch/like your "Man of Constant Sorrow" reaction. Best wishes from NC! 👍👍❤❤
Home Free is very appreciative of reactors....however some of the original artists may still block...but it doesn't happen NEARLY as often as Pentatonix. They are a great group of guys very proud to be Americans and have a very high moral message in a lot of their videos. Check out "God Bless the USA ft. Lee Greenwood" or "American Pie ft. Don McLean". They also have a lot of originals. This is a deep rabbit hole. You may not be a musician, but you nailed it on what it "sounds like". If you like bass, check out Hilly Billy Bone cover, and Sea Shanty Medley. Do not listen to Mayday until you have a few more videos under your belt and you know each persons role. Tim is bass with 5+ octave range, Chance is Baritone but can cover bass, Rob is Tenor, Austin is High Tenor and Adam is a tenor when not beat boxing. If you want to hear Austin, check out "When a man loves a woman". Rob sings lead in "End of the Road" with so much grit and soul. Also Austin and Tim have wonderful solo channels with great content. The rabbit hole is deep with many branchs.
I listen to Home Free every day, and still hear stuff I missed prior, lol. Hopefully you will enjoy the voices and the music of Home Free 😊... Looking forward to hearing more. Thanks for the reaction!
Tim and Chance are featured in "Brothers in Arms". It would be an excellent song for Memorial Day if it's not to late to consider. There are only a couple of songs where you can hear Adam clearly (It's rumored he flatly refuses to be a featured vocalist although I'm not sure how accurate that is). I will note that "Ain't Goin' Down ('til the Sun Comes Up)" ONLY on Facebook (Garth blocked their posting it on UA-cam) does an excellent job of featuring Adam Rupp in his Beatboxing Role. It's perfectly fine to react to it on UA-cam they just can't post it themselves.
Two or more singing the same thing is called singing in unison. You can hear the second time Tim and Chance are both holding lower bass notes while the others shift. So cool! These guys are all masters! You want to hear Tim's upper register, Mayday and My Maria are great choices. The Home Free library is an extensive one.
There are no bad Home Free songs but this is one of the most beautiful. Couple of my favourites are Catch Me If You Can (great lead from Rob) and their cover of Take Me Home Country Roads - gives all of them a chance to shine and is full of emotion and nostalgia. Tim has a solo doowap album out where he sings all the parts which really shows off his range - try the video for Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Enjoyed your reaction, it's good to see someone picking up on a lot of the subtleties in the arrangement.
If you want to hear Adam Rupp the beatboxer actually singing ...he has a little bit of a solo in their song how great thou art. Which is another all Harmony no beatboxing song it was also filmed in the Austrian Alps
I call this Eargasms.😏 You are the first reactor I have ever seen who notices that note Tim holds for so long. And, yes.....Adam has a tenor voice. And Chance covers bass when Tim is on melody.
As we all say, Home Free, Pentatonix and Voice Play doesn't do covers, they do upgrades! You've picked up their names quickly Dave, great job... Pay attention to your peeps, they will all have great suggestions, you can't pick a bad one! Keep'em Comin' big guy 👍👍👍👍👍
So gorgeous. This really highlights the technical musicianship Home Free has. This had to be spot on perfect in every aspect, or it just would not have worked. These guys' talents and skills are just off the charts. My favorite musicians in all the world. Home Fry forever. Thanks for the great reaction. Please don't feel as if we Home Fries are lecturing you. We are so enthusiastic for "our guys", we are genuinely just trying to be helpful to you. Don't feel bad. We miss stuff sometimes on the first go around, too and point stuff out to each other.
*In Bruce Willis' voice* "Welcome to the party, pal!" Enjoy the rabbit hole you've just fallen into. It's a deep one! Here are some songs that feature each guy and their talents... Austin: When A Man Loves A Woman, Thinking Out Loud, Unchained Melody Tim: In The Blood, Brothers In Arms, Hillbilly Bone, Your Man Rob: End Of The Road, Go Rest High On That Mountain, Honey I'm Good Chance: Cover Me Up, Some Girls Do, Castle On The Hill Adam: Ain't Going Down (TTSCU), The Butts Remix, Workin' For A Livin' All are featured pretty heavily: How Great Thou Art, Life Is A Highway, Take Me Home Country Roads, Sea Shanty Medley (Mayday, but save this one for later) And this is just scratching the surface! Have fun!!!
Great reaction to the guys! They all are equally talented and each new song you find becomes your new favorite! It happens to all of us too -- you're becoming a Home Fry!! Welcome
I can see you have a great appreciation for our boys. They are fantastic and always have such great harmonies. I feel HomeFree does upgrades to anything they sing. Only group I've ever said this about. 🥰✌❤
Great job, Dave. If you want to hear more of chance, he is featured with a group called the "Hound and the Fox" the song is called "Wayfaring Stranger."
Thank you for your reaction! You don't have to be musically trained to appreciate great music. And you obviously understand the subtleties of Home Free's music :) And the more you listen to them and watch their videos, the more details you will notice. 😃
They do a few 'no percussion' songs and Adam Rupp (tenor) makes it 5-part harmony. You can make cool full 9th chords and 11th chords with single gaps with 5 voices. Big full chords with little bits of built in dissonance. With all 5 the chords can be both wide and tightly stacked at the same time, which is really awesome.
You have a great ear. It is called unison and a lot of reactors miss it. Indeed, Chance (a baritone/bass) and Rob (a high tenor) were singing the same note in the same octave. Well done! And your interpretation is awesome. I loved your description of it being a "lonely" feeling song. Fantastic reaction. And yes, we all listen over and over because there's so much, it's impossible to hear the first time around. No apologies!😃
Please keep up the amazing songs from Home Free. No matter which song you choose, they're all great. If you want to see their funny side: Butts Medley, Sold, Hillbilly Bones, Thank God I'm a country boy, All about that bass. If you want to hear Adam Rupp sing, you should listen to How great thou art. He can be heard alone for a very short time.
Another cover of theirs is the Eagles 'Seven Bridges Road', it also has outstanding harmonies. And if you want to be really blown away, listen to their version of 'Do You Hear What I Hear'. It was arranged by the beatboxer Adam Rupp. Hold on to your horses! They don't do 'covers', they do upgrades.
Oh, yeah. Do You Hear turns my brain to butter every time I Hear it. Extraordinary arrangement. Best arrangement of any Christmas song ever as far as I'm concerned. I never really liked the song - until Home Free got their voices on it.
After you do you travel through each member leading a song, check out American Pie. It’s performed with Don McLean and each singer leads a verse. Great cover.
I finally found this. Thank you Dave for playing this song. Chance did a great job on this song and Rob joined In. Then Austin joined and I can hear Tim's bass . Adam was singing to. The harmonies are great. Home Free is my favorite group 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorites. That was Chance’s baby. He directed it, used the black and white. It’s soooo good and those harmonies are exquisite. Home Free is known for great harmonies. My only complaint? It’s too short. Yes, Adam (beatboxer) sings in a few songs of theirs and he’s a tenor. You can hear him sing in How Great Thou Art. Other Chance songs I love are I Can’t Outrun You and Yours. There are others but I love those two. So many songs. I loved your reaction and I subscribed. 😀
You say you don't know much but you've caught more than most reactors. Awesome Reaction, thank you. I have a few suggestions... don't look away from a HF video, you're going to miss something... and second, Tim will direct his bass with his right hand. You can plainly see it in Brothers In Arms, but it was clear in Man of Constant Sorrow too. Great job! I've subscribed for your trip down this rabbit hole!
What you said about the song feeling lonely and that is so accurate. There is a vulnerability in it that the guys captured so well with the simplicity of the video and the echo. I find I almost hold my breath while listening because the mere act of taking a breath could break the sense of fragility they evoke. There is video out there on youtube of them singing this live, off mic at the Ryman Auditorium and with a crowd of people, you could have heard a pin drop. Yes, Adam can sing quite well and has a lovely tenor that sits between Rob and Austin. Austin has the high tenor range. He just feels more comfortable with the beatboxing. He does a solo section in "How Great Thou Art" With songs, they tend to all sing lead and then they decide who sounds best for the song. No egos here! LOL And with videos, you may come across some of their earlier ones (when they were with SME) that may be blocked but not many. Now that they are fully independent, they totally understand the role reactors play in getting the word out about them. They have been known to lurk in the comments as well. So, you never know where they will pop up. LOL You may like some of their Quarantine releases, where they accomplished singing together while being in 5 different locations and shooting their own videos. They help alot of us Home Fries get through by making us smile. Great reaction!
I think you'll enjoy Home Free's version of Elvira feat. the Oak Ridge Boys. And, on the half funny/half serious side is What Christmas Means to Me. You don't have to wait for the end of the year for this.
Tim has a 5+ octave range. Check out the half-hour concert clip Home Free Concert Morrison, IL 8/19/15 for a fine example of his range as well as their wonder voices and their not-to-be-missed sense of humor. Chance is baritone but sang bass in his previous group Street Corner Symphony. They were in season 2 of The Sing-Off. I think they came in 2nd.
Excellent reaction...I really enjoyed it! You don't need to know much about music when you're already listening to greatness...and it doesn't get any better than these 5 guys! You are a reactor....so you should be a pauser...doesn't bother me at all! These guys don't just cover a song....they upgrade and enhance it! I just subbed for more Home Free....let the journey continue!
Another Home Free??? Ok i will sub. I am not normally a cover fan either but i swear, the covers these guys do quickly become more loved to me than the originals. You have such a great journey ahead of you with these guys. I am coming along for the ride
Try out the cover of Boyz II Men End of the Road... or "Home Free drum Solo - SPM ST15" They just have so many to start with, fans will tell you to wait for some, like cover of Maday by Cam until you get to know them better... Adam Chance "Chance" started in 2015 taking the place of Chris Rupp, the original Founder and brother to Adam Rupp the beatboxer..
Oh and Tim Foust (bass), Austin Brown High Tenor, and Adam Chance Baritone, all have their own YT pages with their own music as well that you may want to look into at some point... Also try out their cover to How Great Thou Art... Love the reactions Sir...
I appreciate watching your reactions. Watching someone else hear music and enjoy the same points I do is great. Almost like hearing it for the first time myself as I listen vicariously through you. We music lovers are here for your reactions.
Tim and Chance can go from Bass to Tenor. Austin is High Tenor, Rob is lead Tenor Adam Rupp is the beat boxer and Tenor. When Tim sings Chance does bass and sometimes you'll get hit with a double bass. They all can do some beat boxing. Since Memorial Day is coming I highly recommend God Bless the U.S.A. ft Lee Greenwood the original singer and the USAF Band it's unbelievable tear jerker
Thank you Dave! I've just found you so.. Sorry! I appreciate you reacting to my very favorite group ever! Phenomenal performances, video's and the most beautiful hearted gentlemen! Really! Just subscribed! Welcome to the Home Fry rabbit hole, it's very deep end and you will never want to get out! It's an AMAZING journey! Also, welcome to the family new Home Fry! Sending love from South Georgia!♥️😀🍟
OMGosh! I LOVED your reaction to this!😍 I'm SO impressed that you've already learned their names. Some reactors have been reacting to them for years & still don't know their names! Not good!!! It doesn't matter that you have no vocal/music training. You have an amazing ear for music! In "Man of Constant Sorrow", you're one of the very few who heard Tim (who does have a 5+ octave range) go an octave lower after his solo. Now, you noticed that Chance & Rob sounded like one voice & also the sustained note that few hear & how perfectly synchronized they are! By the way, Home Free doesn't block their videos since they're on their own label now, BUT some of the older ones that were recorded under Sony or Colombia might get blocked. Don't know if anyone has mentioned that in the videos BEFORE 2016, you'll see Adam Rupp's brother, Chris Rupp (who left for a solo career & usually wears a cowboy hat or cap) instead of Adam "Chance". Can't wait for more of your Home Free reactions. They have about 200 videos on YT & one on their Facebook page that's incredible FUN, "Ain't Going Down (Til the Sun Comes Up)"!😊
Chris performs with the group 7th Ave and with Cypress Fyre. He does a wonderful duet with his and Adam's sister Tristin of Wind Beneath My Wings. The two of them are one-half of 7th Ave and they do a fun Uptown Funk. Also, I discovered a mashup that group has done that get's a little on the borderline adult side, which is probably why I can't find any reactions to it yet. (I'm not giving up though.) I Kissed a Girl in the House of the Rising Sun is a real hoot and I am so loving the shirtless Chris Rupp (along with the other guys). Chris also does behind the scenes commentary on some of HF's videos at ChrisRuppOfficial.
The whole concept for this video was the brainchild of Chance, and he directed it as well...the shots, the "film noir" feel was also his concept. He is also an extremely accomplished amateur photographer, so do check out his Instagram, he has some stunning photography on there...he and his new wife (married a week) live in Long Beach, CA and they go out to the desert often and shoot photography. His nerdy side is, he's a Star Wars geek LOL. He's also my favorite because he's Dolphins fan 4 life just like myself. Check out their original Dive Bar Saints
We say that Home Free upgrades the originals. Another great reaction. Get ready for your subscribers count to go way up. Yes, Chance and Rob were singing in unison. As an a capella singer myself, I can tell you that what they did is very difficult to do. I often listen to this in the dark with the headphones on. Ring Of Fire is a must. Also check out Peter Hollens with Tim Foust doing Misty Mountains.
I've always loved that this is one of their most subtle 'flexes' of sheer technical brilliance and vocal awesomeness. Welcome to the Home Fries, these guys have a lot of fun and some seriously awesome messages. You're guaranteed to find a couple at least that really resonate. Enjoy the journey and don't let any negative cr@p get you down.
Tim really showed his vocal agility in the solo doo-wop album, Pieces of Me, he released not long ago. He sings low bass notes up to his high falsetto, covering all parts in the songs. You'll enjoy them
You pointed out some things that I hadn't heard anyone else say, or I hadn't noticed. Great reaction.. Continue with Home Free.. You are doing good at putting the names with the guys.. The last reaction had them all with hats and pure country look, this one was in black and white.. So you really did good at recognizing them..
This is one of my favorites and I so loved the emotion run across your face on this one. I feel like it probably mirrors my first ten listens lol. I didn't read all the comments so I may be repeating but Home Free does upgrades more than covers, at least IMO
Hello, Dave! New subscriber and a Home Fry since their appearance on Season 4 of the former show The Sing Off (spoiler alert: they won. Pentatonix won season 3). This group right here has covered many genres in their unique Country style. If you want to hear them sing some mainstream Pop, or other genres, check out their cover of the Eagles (I watched your first Home Free reaction where you requested stuff like that) “Seven Bridges Road”, Ed Sheeran’s “Castle On the Hill”, Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Fight the Feeling”. They also have an album with 10 originals and 2 covers. 2 of the originals were co-written by Tim and 2 co-written by Austin. I love your channel and that you say you don’t know much about music terms, but you know more than you think. I can see that you are already a Home Fry since you know their names. Looking forward to many more Home Free reactions. There is no bad Home Free music. I am here to go on this wonderful journey of you discovering how great these guys are!
Beautifully described! 😁
April, that was the best way I've heard them described.
Great way to explain the phenomena that is Home Free!
May I add here, 3 basses as I believe, while Chance was participated in the higher range, and Tim was killing it in Bass, there were like a higher bass tone as well. I think it was Adam Rupp that was participating in the bass section
and all eye candy.
This is a masterclass in 5 part harmony. Absolutely brilliant and Tim's bass riding underneath and throughout is like listening to a church organ. Sheer perfection.
Unison, and flawless at that.
I am cracking up! Every time you asked, "did you hear that", I'll bet every Home Fry was nodding their head yes, and waiting for your reaction😁
Us Home Fries don't mind the pauses, we understand.
💯❤️
When Adam sings instead of beatboxing, you get this fabulous 5 part harmony! There is nothing like it!
There are so many good songs you have no idea!!!!! Welcome to HOMEFREE FROM A HOMEFRY!!!!! ENTER THE RABBIT HOLE
To hear what Tim can do with his voice, listen to: Tim Foust - Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow / Stay. He sings all the parts himself.
Have you checked out the audio of Can’t help falling in Love” by Tim that’s on UA-cam? The range in that one song will blow your mind too!
That song was amazing with Tim singing all the parts. Mayday is another Tim surprise.
Mayday. :D
Your parents raised you right, lol! I can't wait to go down the rabbit hole that is Home Free with you! We're here for it all!
MORE HOME FREE PLEASE! And thank you! 🥰 We can’t get enough. Sincerely, a Home Fry!!!
Thank you, another great reaction! I am really enjoying your journey!🤗❤️
The only thing that keeps this from being a perfect song is that it's too short. I literally could listen to this song on a loop for hours.
They never do a bad song. All of them are amazing. Keep watching different videos. WOW
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Home Free. Laughter is expected, as well as much jaw-dropping and frequent pauses re winds.
Unison is the word with only the separate textures of their voices to add depth. Harmonies when they break out will knock you off your seat. 🤗
Hi Dave,
You have a good ear and good attention to details. So nice
Welcome Home Fry
Something I’ve noticed from listening to home free throughout the years anytime you hearing them and one of the guys that doesn’t seem prominent in that song then he’s actually probably the most crucial because it means usually he is “laying it down” and “holding it all together” 😊
Yes I'm a real Home Fry from the Netherlands.
This is so super sung with great harmonies from all five members. The black and white video really finishes it off. So short, but oh so powerful!
They are well known for their harmonies, and yes the beatboxer Adam is a tenor and can sing some high notes.
Chance, then adding Rob and then Austin for the first harmony section.
Lol, that was amazing, right! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Home Free doesn't do covers, they do upgrades! They have the ability to take any song and stay true to the original but still make it their own.
They were singing in unison at the beginning. This is a master class in harmony and precision. No beatboxing. 5 part harmony at it’s best!
There's nothing better than an enthusiastic reactor!! Excellent reaction!! Take Me Home Country Roads is a good one, also One Man Band. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their songs. I'll be along for the ride.
Oh man I can't wait for Country Roads I love that song.
The fun of listening to the original being covered before Home Free’s version gives you context. It’s pretty amazing work!
On the song"How Great Thou Art" you can hear Adam Rupp sing a couple of lines solo.
This is an exquisite 5-part harmony masterpiece. For every song I've heard Home Free do, I end up loving the HF covers a LOT more than the originals 😍
Besides the unbelievable harmonies, getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is such a great treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
HF's version of "My Country 'Tis of Thee" is one you definitely should check out--amazing!!!
Love me some Homefree! Thanks for reacting to them. They deserve every positive thing that comes there way !😃
For some really good bass....Brothers in Arms highlights the talents of Tim and Chance with amazing harmonies...
I hope you also notice Adam Rupp's beautifully subtle low tenor added to the presentation. No beatbox or percussion here, just voices ethereally presently individual aloneness.
This song is so difficult rhythm wise and the lyrics are ingenious. Timing is impeccable. This is an extremely hard song to master!
Thanks for your reaction!
i totally agree. I'm not Christian but How Great Thou Art is absolutely beautiful.
if you want to hear tim actually sing low low low you need to watch their sea shanty medley. i saw them several times in 2021 and every auditorium vibrated and shook from tim's low singing the entirety of the song . also adam rupp kills it with the vocal percussion, he actually does castanets along with his drums in the last song
Thank you.
As a poet, the alliteration in this song is magnificent. The clearness of their voices with the reverbration is haunting with the sound hanging.
Hello carolinasbeauty how are you doing today?
Home Free doesn’t do covers. They do upgrades.
Great reaction! I don't know where everybody is.
Love these harmonies. These guys can do it all.
Hello Patricia how are you doing today
I call this Eargasms.😏
You are the first reactor I have ever seen who notices that note Tim holds for so long. And, yes.....Adam has a tenor voice. And Chance covers bass when Tim is on melody.
Hello Karin how are you doing today
Austin: When A Man Loves A Woman, Thinking Out Loud, Unchained Melody
Tim: In The Blood, Brothers In Arms, Hillbilly Bone, Your Man
Rob: End Of The Road, Go Rest High On That Mountain, Honey I'm Good
Chance: Cover Me Up, Some Girls Do, Castle On The Hill
Adam: Ain't Going Down (TTSCU), The Butts Remix, Workin' For A Livin'
All are featured pretty heavily: How Great Thou Art, Life Is A Highway, Take Me Home Country Roads, Sea Shanty Medley (Mayday, but save this one for later)
And this is just scratching the surface!
Thank you for doing Home Free!
Tim has a solo project "Stay/Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow " . He really shows his range.
Tim's range is unreal, check out his doo wop, "Tim Foust ‐ Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow / Stay"
I'm all here for Home Free!
Yes they both sang the same note which was beautiful
This was my favorite review of this song! Fun to watch you discover Home Free!
Pure musical brilliance.
His subscribers will go way up for absolutely sure! It’s a long long rabbit hole!
You'll enjoy them
I came for HF💕 these men are amazing! One bad thing about this one, it’s way toooo short! But still love it
Proud Home Fry here. More Home Free please!!💗
Sounds like a cross between Celtic folk and monks chanting in a church. Just beautiful. Great production. Nana Karen UK
