Thanks for showing with both paracord and actual line. Too many UA-camrs make their method look easy with paracord but using it with light line turns out to be different if not impossible.
This is an excellent method for the blood knot! I use it for bass rigging fluoro leaders to braid. It works just fine if you add extra wraps as needed. For example when i use power pro v2 40lb braid and xps 14lb floro leader, i use 7-8 wraps on each and it has worked well. You need to get the braid wraps tightly spaced and wet before you cinch otherwise sometimes the friction crinkles the fluoro just in front of the cinched knot. I know everyone is on about the uni and Alberto knots for leaders, but to me the blood knot is the most ideal because the knot is very low profile. The tag ends stick out the sides and I don't feel the knot bump through the guides as hard as I do others unless using micro guides.. Again Great technique , took me 2 evenings at the kitchen table to memorize the long way. This saves much time and produces a lot less room for confusion.
This is the easiest explanation I have seen. Also thank you for illustrating using cord. I could actually see what was going on. GREAT VIDEO!! THANK YOU!!
After going through a few of these "easiest" and "quickest" ways to do a blood knot, I honestly found yours to be the easiest. My go-to knot now for joining leader and tippet. Thanks!
Thanks for this technique that should have been the original way to tie the knot. You have made it obviously so simple to tie. Thanks for your frustration free procedure!
That's actually a much easier method, thank you. I love the strength and beauty of the blood knot but hate how difficult it was. I'm going to practice this knot this winter so I can beat your time.
Brilliant! I don't even fly fish, but I'll be using this to tie leaders to braid. Doing both halves separately the mono or fluoro half is always slower because it's thicker and stiffer. Doing it this way I can do all of my wraps with the braid. Thanks!
Thank you very much. I had a lot of difficulty attaching a leader to my fly line with other videos. First try was a success with your method. Very, very helpful!
Hi, thanks for sharing. I hated the blood knot and never used it. But you are saying you just keep using the one piece of line and basically just keep going. I’m going to give it a try. Many thanks 🙏
Spectacular technique, blood knots have been a nemesis of mine for years. Thanks and break out the horse shoe tourney hat again, it's a thing of beauty!
Your video is the first video that actually helped me tie this knot very easy I've been watching other videos and I'm able to tie way harder not then this but for some reason could not get it down.
I use the blood knot for leader splices it’s very strong surgeons knot or double is not strong at all maybe quick but weak good for 10in trout. Strongest but slower and slightly more complicated is nail knot splice and a nail knot tool of any kind is helpful the breaking strength of nail knot splice is about the same as the tippet and it makes a cleaner knot.
Nice method, but the final example with actual mono tippet is in fast motion. How bout slowing it down, so I can see how you manage those tiny tags that flutter away from my grip !
It can totally be tied with braid! I just figured it out! You’ve just got to pull the braid tight before you do the final cinch so that the flourished wraps around it!

i have started using this method. Its by far the best method that I have tried.Thank you!
Helpful. Thanks. I used the blood for thick sections of my own tapered leaders and the Seaguar/Orvis leader knot, which is stronger than the blood.
Best tutorial on UA-cam for this knot so easy thank you man

Your video is the first video that actually helped me tie this knot very easy I've been watching other videos and I'm able to tie way harder not then this but for some reason could not get it down.
I like this. I tend not to perform as well knee deep in a river, 32 degrees in a brisk wind 🥶🥶🥶
Thanks for posting, an easier way to make this knot is of much help!
Nice always appreciate tips n short cuts!
Better than I thought it would be
Glad to see your back!

Dude. That's a great trick.
Awesome! Thanks. BTW, How many tries to hit that at 30 seconds?😁😁
Many thanks Master of Totes.
Brilliant method!!!!
Thank you! Gonna use that on the stream today
Your a genius.
Nice job stoner mcgee🎉
31 seconds. Very impressive also when you consider that about the last 10 seconds we're spent just cutting off the tags.
That intro music. Gangsta fly fishing

Bro!!!! That’s sweet!!!!
Thanks so easy now 👍
Great video. Thank you.
Damn! That’s slick!
Very clever dude 👍
That's the fastest I've ever seen it tied.
Awesome! How does. It work in high. Wind, snow flurries and clouds of black Flores’s? Nice theory though...
It works well in all conditions!
Soo easy. Thanks
Nice video! What nipper are you using?
Looks like the Umpquas I own.
Solid video 👌
WTF you just did!!!
Love it!!
EASY PEASY!!!
Awesome bro thanks

BRAVO! SUPER DUDE!
Nice method, but the final example with actual mono tippet is in fast motion. How bout slowing it down, so I can see how you manage those tiny tags that flutter away from my grip !
Nice!
I like the product placement. Are you sponsored by Patagonia and Yeti now?
David G Wow I totally forgot to thank them for funding this ultra high-budget video! 😂

Way quicker!!
I got it one time I can’t get it again, I’m doing fluorocarbon to braid, the fluorocarbon keeps slipping
this knot is not meant to be tied with braid, try the Alberto knot.
PhelpsOntheFly thank you it’s appreciated!

👍
Yea, Now try doing that with tremors.
MUCH EASIER!
Mmmm I don’t know
Must not be using fluoro.
Logan Paul is that you?
20lb fluorecarbon to 10lb braid just slips
this knot is not meant to be tied with braid, try the Alberto knot.
Good method, but that spit wad was gross, bruh....
It says 30 second knot why is the video over 2 min.?
Pretty sure this knot is a myth. Or I'm that stupid.
this sucks
