Visiting The World's Most Dangerous Country 🇦🇫

- 🇦🇫 What do you think of when you hear the word 'Afghanistan'? Probably not very good things and that isn't surprising. Afghanistan seems to have been in a perpetual state of war since recorded history began. But with the new government in place and the country supposedly somewhat safer now than at any time in the last 20 years I decided to go and investigate the mysterious landlocked country for myself to see how life was progressing. It was quite the adventure. Welcome to Taliban Land...
Please check out Backpacker Ben's UA-cam channel for his Afghan videos.
The British foreign office must have a panic attack every time they see this guy buys a plane ticket
he obviously works for MI-6 and they are buying the tickets for him. duh.
Wow.. post-911 made people even dumber ey? We just joke about us being tyrannized now? Pathetic lol. Thankfully you'll stay poor and go nowhere in life
You don’t travel that frequently if you’re in the mi6 if anything he’ll be at the head office in London they wouldn’t usually send you overseas that often.
@@Huntermoody that's just what they want you to think.. it's working!
@@snowboardfamilyof4 why would the mi6 fund his travels ? and plus if he was working he wouldn’t be able to record where he is and he wouldn’t have any down time as he would be too busy working.

Also Bald: Asks every single Afghan person he encounters if they're in the Taliban.
I have to admit that made me very nervous watching
But it was hilarious though
He's bald and bold
Well, he is the main hero. We know nothing bad happens to him because somebody had to upload this video.
It felt really awkward sometimes lmao.
"Are you Taliban?!"
I'm dead 😂
This guy has some serious balls. I hope England doesn't have to pay his ransom some day
Day two:Constantly getting surveillance??
Most people in Afghanistan support and love the Taliban. They don't view it like some negative insult or "bad" thing the way you do. It's not some outrageous, ballsy question.
@@wulfWare you crazy?
@@SoujiOkitaTwo There's nothing "crazy" about acknowledging that the majority of people in Afghanistan have no problem with the Taliban. You're brainwashed with Western media and propaganda.
@@SoujiOkitaTwo Are you Afghani?

Thanks for showing the world as it is.
An Englishman walking the streets of Afghanistan, speaking broken Russian, asking every Afghani if they’re Taliban and yelling “there’s a sniper on the roof, there’s a sniper on the roof” what could go wrong 😂
When was he speaking Russian? That was Hindi he was speaking.
It’s actually safer for tourists than the average towns in Mexico/Central America, very ironic.
@@MS-tc2fs I mean not really ironic, the cartels have turned many towns into literal warzones.

Zindabad Bald. What an extraordinary video. Again Bald shows us that the large majority of people all around the world are warm, friendly and humorous. What Bald does so well is assimilate quickly with the people and let them know he's on their side. A few "as salam alaykum"s go a long way in this part of the world. I'm also very impressed with Bald's knowledge/research in the places he visits. A beautiful country but it's very sad seeing the poverty and lack of freedom.
It's always sad to see common people, good people have to endure under these circumstances. I can only wish the best for them in near future.
Except for Asians... 😂 Jk, but they do seem pretty serious and literal culturally
What does freedom means according to you ? According to me it is to let the people live their life according to their choice of rule
there is no freedom in UK, just thousands of laws and govt and corporations thieving from the people....sharia'h law would be a million times better.
I've watched many influencers visit Afghan recently, but yours and Wandering Emma's accounts have been the most interesting and entertaining. Thank you Bald as ever.

Okay let's be honest. Being arrested and thrown out of Russia unceremoniously is the BEST way to end a Soviet adventure. It's like the ending of Monty Python's Holy Grail. Sometimes the best adventures get spoiled by the authorities in the end.

The moment with the shopkeeper and begging children was heartbreaking, and got genuinely scary for a moment. Glad it didn't escalate any further
Yeah that could have ended badly in a number of different ways...
That was sad 😢
Was literally like that everywhere you stopped on patrol when I was there.
I've had similar in Greece lol
@@Dbdilly had similar interaction in corfu, but not to that extent.
That was an incredible watch. I got nervous going to Bristol for the day 😂
Fair play to you both.
St Pauls used to frightened me after the clubs ended. Late 90/00
Bristol? Why would you be nervous there lol
Very amusing and educational; thank you Sahib!

As a young child growing up in the 70s we had a afghan man stay on my dad's farm in Australia for a number of months to study farming practices. It was just before the Russians invaded his country. He was a really nice man that showed me & my sisters a card trick and gave my parents an afghan rug. Your videos reminded me of him and whilst I could see your tension, in general it can be seen that the afghan people are a good and kind people trapped in a cycle of disharmony,
It's the USSR not Russia, the ruling Afghanistan communist party govt. had sought the help of USSR to counter the religious parties and groups who want Afghanistan to turn into Sharia law driven Islamic country. West,USA and Pakistan along with the Saudis had started to support the Muslim religious fanatic figures and established them as Mujahideen i.e. religious warriors fighting against non believers. Foreign resistant groups like Laden's Al Qaeda joined them during the 1980s. After the Soviet departure one of a strong ultra religious group out of these Islamic Mujahideen had turned into Taliban and waged war against westranisation as it wants Sharia based society. Progressive and modern elements of Afghan society were killed by US & westerns themselves under the guise of supporting freedom fighters fighting against invaders.
Soviets
