I come back to these videos at least twice a day, dreaming of when I have mine complete 😅 Just got the plans, need to get my 3D printer operational, and I think a wheelbase upgrade takes priority - but my God I'm looking forward to this.
Great wheel! I bought the plans for the GTE wheel from you. Well I plan to mould the grips from 2-way-silicone with a mould. Do you have any tips or experiences in moulding grips? cheers
How do you make the grips on the wheel? I think I can manage to source the parts and build the wheel. My biggest concern are the handgrips. Can you give a hint?
Awesome design. I am in love with all of your projects! I am assuming the PCB can be sourced and can be purchased exactly the same as you have it? Are the cutting files available to get carbon parts from a company like send-cut-send?
Everything is available for the project: PCB files, carbon cutting files, printing, etc. Yes PCB can be ordered from same manufacturer (JLCPCB) as I did, but they have sometimes shortage from some of the components.
First of all these look amazing! but I have a couple of questions. Do the rotary switches have clicks in them for feedback? and is it possible to make them act like more physical switches so every number would be a separate input? And final question it possible to change what de display is displaying? the rest looks amazing!
Hi, No, unfortunately not. Carbon fiber parts 80 euro, PCB 120 euro, Nextion display 60 euro (or Vocore 30 euro) and other bits and pieces. Total around 400 euro.
@@pokornyi.engineering Man, you really should. I would buy your LMP Pro (or the GTE Pro) in a heartbeat. Otherwise, I guess I'm forced to look into other places like SRB :(
I can't get any comms with my no hubv1.0 board. I was able to get the computer to recognize it as "LMP Pro" once and then the next day I continued to receive the windows error that the device wasn't recognized or has failed. Any assistance is appreciated.
@Stuart Musselwhite no fix yet...I got another board (v1.1) and test worked like a charm. I reached out to PE but none of the hints/steps helped. It still refused to be recognized. Try to reboot your machine though. I'm finding that driver issues/ maybe even registry entries might be behind it. I'll be retesting in the next few weeks before I start building the gt3 shadow wheel.
@@jerseymusiclover ok thanks for the reply I stated getting problems when my pc said the shell had a power surge then I stated getting problems first simhub couldn’t find it then pc couldn’t even find the wheel still all lights up and makes the connection sound I’m lost on way to do

Wow! Just wow. Can't wait to tackle this one!

Are you using magnets for the clutch resistance? does that give you a linear feel?
That is awesome
Would it be possible to use a VOCORE screen instead of a Nexion screen? Vocore has better support for dash in simhub.
Looking with all the LEDs and the display, is a single USB cable capable to powered the steering or additional power supply required?

Where can one find that simhub layout for the screen?
does it fit clubsport universal hub or only podium hub?
Hello, what is the downloadable file format? Dwg, stl, dxf etc? Thanks
Can I use with the VRS or Logitech G923?
where did you got those buttons?
Would this also affect the weight with a 70mm adapter on a thrustmaster base?
Hi, I bought the build file and currently sourcing all the parts for the build. May I check What thickness front plate is yours in the video?
Probably 3mm but I could be wrong
Looks great quick question what is the screen you used?
4.3" Nextion
so beautiful
possible to buy it already assembled or as a kit to be assembled?
No, I don't make complete wheels or kits.
Hi. I'm confused. Do you sell a kit to build it yourself or do I need to find all the parts. Alex
Are you send the source code on lmp pro like gt version ? Thanks
I am looking for those kind of backlight push buttons for a long time, do you know where i can find them?
I use Omron B3F-4055 switches, but they are not illuminated, the LEDs are on the PCB.
What softwere is it running
How much is the wheel in total when you finished it
About $3,500
What simulators and wheel bases are you using it with/ reccomend
In his current setup he is using it with a Fanatec wheel base. The gold colored part on the back of the wheel can be bought at Fanatec's website.
Hello, how do you make the board for the steering wheel?
Just order it from JLCPCB
Hey,
how much does the whole build cost? I am planning to built the wheel because I have a 3D Printer, is it below 200€?
Thank you in advance!

@@pokornyi.engineering which is amazingly cheap for such an excellent design. Well done!
Will you ever make these ready made?
I don't plan to make complete wheels, but never say never :)

@Stuart Musselwhite same issue here. All light are on but it's not recognized. Try a new PC or reformat yours and see if that does the trick first.
fantastic steering wheel. It's just a shame that the rotaries available on the market are terrible.
Would you be willing to make one to sell.

I've seen quite a few LMP-Indycar drivers wrapping the handles in grip tape. If you have problems with making them right you can consider that option
