How the hell could anyone dislike this video?! Oh wait, I know........sim wheel manufactures.
Or trolls
xd
82 of them? This is a bigger business than I thought…
@@TotoDG every employee from every company xD

Another great project. I'll be building an F1 wheel that I designed myself very soon, and luckily I now know how to wrap the handles in suede. Thanks for the great videos mate!
we are living in 2017, meanwhile this guy is living in 3017
I'm just. You know, I can't, I'm more like a dude whos super excited when I manage to remap buttons on my wheel... This is some black belt DIY stuff!
Right!!! He handy as SHIT LOL
Alexis Vanloan
huh? the only person who can’t do shit is you. (besides making sandwiches)
@Dragos Frintura, its 2019 nearly 2020 n he is still there
lol do you go on wood working channels and go "this guy can cut wood in STRAIGHT lines"
Great. I really like custom made panels and electronic equipment. Keep on building. Gave me some ideas for when I am rebuilding the dashboard of my boat. I'll add lots of buttons and digital LED displays to give it the ultimate 80's look
These projects amaze me more and more each time, I have only been able to make the handbrake you designed myself but still think the videos are awesome!!
Thanks Stephen!
@@amstudioprojects can I ask where was the detail on how you wired the screen
when you put the back plate on it doesnt look connected to anything. I'm stuck at this part. do I need 2 usb leads coming out one gojng to to the screen to power and display and the 2nd one for the buttons and shifters?
@@amstudioprojects at 2:07 I cant see how I need to wire the screen so theres only one usb lead coming from the wheel (that's if it's designed to only have one usb lead)?
amstudio ow I see lol you wired the screen to the board I got it but is there a video you can link me where you show how to wire the screen to board

HAHA I KNEW THIS VIDEO WOULD COME EVENTUALLY.
Executed perfectly mate, top job
Video is very good and also the end result. I come from automotive production background and can't help to imagine how expensive it would be to manufacture something like this - very expensive because of the amount of manual labor required. The electronic components, 3D printing, nuts and bolts, the alcantra gluing...
great vid. tip for the handles. first use memory foam to the handles and then attach alcantara or suedine, it gives u more 'full' grip
I have not yet been this impressed
Just bought the kit *digi-download* and quick release for the Thrustmaster wheel. I have a TMX, but I'm fairly handy with CAD and have designed some CNC machinery so I'm hopeful I can make what I need/3d Print any additional parts to make the TX quick release work with the TMX wheel. Thanks for the great project.
Wow, and i feel badass for making the LED Rev-counter.
What an AMAZING job. Congrats and keep doing videos!!
Amazing video. I'd love to see a DIY H shifter video sometime.
check out his channel, he has one
@@samk7738 at the time there wasnt
@@theothergtgeek9407 And there souldn't be today either, he copied the design without mentioning the original owner.
Roberto he showed and mentioned where he got it from and from who from it was, didnt he?
@@Paul-ni4fs Not the original creator and also profiting off it...
great video i subscribed. i was always struggling to get a wheel for economical reasons and this made my day thank you
love your setup. watching 2019.
Thanks for including the part list. Will really help me with mine. Great vid.
That looks awesome! Great work.
Amazing video as always. I'm currently making the tachometer and buttonbox!
I genuinely love all of your content, I'm subscribed on all 4 of my channels so I never miss a new video. Please never quit youtube. Also will you be doing video on what your everyday racing setup is at home? That would be great for us viewers! Upvote this so he can see please?
WOW WOW WOW awesome result!nice!
Im planning to build a box out of mdf and carbonfoil front, with a slide-in tablet as second infodisplay. under the tablet i'll attach a missilestyle on/off power switch with red an green led lamps next to it, to indicate if the wheel has power or not.
...And then i see this video and suddenly feels like a 6 yearold trying to build a fancy castle with two chairs and a blanket. Great video !!!!
Thanks for links for equips!
Geez that is a good effort
Amazing job! very nicely done.
Better than perfection, your DIY are outstanding !
Thanks! Simhub really brings these projects to life!

Some off your project has inspired me to make my own.
Thanks Mate.
Is it just me or who else is watching this in 2022

Amstudio exellent video as always, I have just finished building this wheel with the help of your video and I have all the all switches working as they should, but as a newcomer to sim racing and not understanding very much I would you be willing to share your button setup for asseto corsa that you are using in your race video, as I dont know what switch is used for what, I would be truly greatful for your help, please keep doing these great videos they are awsom.

Nice Video ..Respekt...
Early?,anyways, love ALL your vids because they're so cool!I can't do this myself, but it's cool seeing you do it!keep making AMAZING vids!
Fanatec has left the chat
This is soooooooo sick!!! Holy shit, this is absolutely f..... amazing!!!
It's like im watching how it's made
This is a great project, but like everyone else, I want to kno how it is connected and works with your fanatec wheel base.
Awesome work, but u forgot to mention that without the Fanatec Universal HUB (as of right now), Force Feedback wont work on the wheelbase, please keep that in mind guys.
Ahhh! I currently have their PS4 kit in my kart and said t0 myself, •but doesn’t the wheelbase have to detect the wheel!?!?” I’ve seen that podium wheel hub thing but it’s functionality never really clicked in my head until now. That’s pretty fucking awesome to see that Fanatec supports this! I wasn’t even planning on going the DIY route (apart from creating a custom cockpit) but if I had known more about this I provably would’ve *at least* considered creating my own wheel as well. Hhmmm....you know what, nah. I’ll stick with the official gear for now. I’ll wait till I have more throwaway money saved up before getting into the custom side of sim racing cause I can already see it spiraling down lol.
hi! thank you for making the greatest vid again! and I have a question on this. How do you connect this wheel without universial hub?? Thank you again!
Okay, then it will be time to build a sim again
UA-cam crashes my banking account ..... ....... ``Great channel´´ ....
3:26' if only there was a way to make more realistic round grips ;)
Thanks for sharing
they updated it
YES finally :D
After this video I MUST remake my old force feedback wheel...I need to play more car race games! (...and but another video card :( )
Hello! Thanks for your works! How to conect the arduino and the screen module? Two usb wires? You miss this part at vídeo. Thanks for all!
La mas importante diría yo
hello all the congratulations for all your very well made videos you became my reference point for the diy accessories for the simracing, i just took a 3d printer and built a f1 steering wheel i wanted to ask you and it's possible to run the nextion and the LED strip using only a usb cable? so you do not get too many wires out of the steering wheel?
Which sketch did you use for Arduino? The one used for the button box?
Wow! Wonder if it could used in a car like the BAC Mono
Im doing this.. Could you specify bolts and nuts sizes? Great video, Thanks for sharing.
Nice video, can you do a video on how to make toasted ham and cheese sandwiches?
Nice !
Great vid!
One question, what did you mean with 'wheel kit'?
I would totally buy this over an overpriced Fanatec F1 wheel! Even though I dont play F1..
cool your project, but you did not show how you adapted in fanatec, you did not show the wires coming out of the steering wheel and that will probably mess up when it comes to playing and also when the steering wheel does the calibration, did you use a quick release?
I liked the video but I still have a lot of information
Probably used a quick realease, but the wires come from the board inside the wheel where he soldered everything in, he just passed a usb through and used some programs that can be easily google ( that i dont know off) to map them
Great videos...do you have the wiring diagram for this wheel? I know is similar to the button box, but the shifters are not mention and the button box have more buttons...
cool video !! can u gave us an explanation on how u made the software ???
