Hello
hi
Hey
Yo bro!
helo
g'day mate
The quality of your review videos are always incredible.
Glad you think so! More to come :)
Love the video just recently caight
Regarding your point at 2:04 about rarely looking at the screen, it's interesting because, as someone who races in a formula seating position setup, I find the screen useful. If you find yourself mainly driving GT style cars I can see why it isn't as helpful😅
This is a good point. If I were sitting in a f1 style seating position, I reckon the screen would be a lot more prominent as it would be right up in my direct line of sight. Will have to test this out
in my opinion yes as nice as this wheel is, honestly if you arent gonna USE the screen theres no point of buying a wheel with a screen. i started on the fanatec clubsport v2 formula and now use a moza FSR i use my screen like ten x a race i find it useful tbh, to have say, tyre data on your wheel and the engine wear on the MFD. no hate just my opinion sick ass wheel im really jealous
Also you can just hide it ingame so you are forced to look at it for shifting
It's been so great watching your channel grow, the camera work and editing along with it. Keep grinding!
I run this myself and its by far the best investment in DD gear ive done so far.
It just feels solid and works easy everytime.
If you plan to buy it do youself a favor and buy the bluetooth version so you dont have this woobly cable that flys arround and for sure will worn one day.
About the size of the wheel and space for your hands and fingers to be i havnt got any problems or misclicks despite i got big hands.
Now try the xgt pro! It works with fanatec without the wire it has the same pins fanatec uses when choosing the qr2. You can access settings from the base on the wheel and it reecognizes it as an f1 esports v2! So yeah please test it and let people know how good it is. Yes out of the box lol.
I love love love love leoxz grips and paddles. At the level fo $1500 wheels pure feel and driving that is. Buttons and also leds.
It's a cool wheel but most people would mount an old iPhone to the DD base and use lovely simhub dash. Having the dash on a wheel doesn't make a lot of sense, like you said when you're on track you never look at it.
All I use mine for is seeing relative and gear position in my peripheral vision. Great video though - it's crazy how good your content is for how young you are - mad respect mate :)
I think most people who buy it will mostly be enticed to only because of its great appearance, at least that’s me.
Thanks for the support! These videos take up insane hours to make so I’m glad you recognize the effort that I put into them :)
So if you dont look to this screen why would you look to an old iphone?😅
@opticalslay3r783 don't compare proper dashboard to an old iphone.
@opticalslay3r783 but dont compare them!
An old samsung do the same thing.....just dont compare a phone to a real dashboard
Since it's a formula wheel, I'd definitely use the screen just to do all of the functions of the in-game MFD in the F1 games. It'd be one less thing on my screen and I could default it to the car damage or tire temps screens
Nice review, trying to understand what to get for a person just starting out on my sim racing endeavour, this has helped 👍 😊
I have the moza version of this wheel and its amazing as I mainly play f1 23 and it works perfectly for that however i also had some issues with it. It randomly stopped being recognised by my pc for some reason, I somehow fixed it by using a powered usb hub but im still not sure why it wont work directly with my pc🤔 Great video tho keep up the great work!
Thanks for letting me know! I’ve heard that using a powered usb adapter works well as well. Will have to try it out
I love watching your reviews knowing I will never be able to afford any of this.
Do you have plan to review the XGT Pro, I'm looking a lot at this wheel to pair with my Simucube 2 pro. Price/feature wise it seems very great, but quality worry me a little bit.
I'd much rather see manufacturers competing to bring the cost of entry to sim racing down rather than adding screens and exotic build materials.
The biggest miss with this rim is the size. While I know this style rim irl isn't large many like my self in other reviews say the same "if this was 295 or even better 300mm its a solid buy for me"
Also it can be used on the DD1 and DD2
It can’t be used on a DD1/2 without a podium hub. Using on a DD1/2 will destroy the shaft as the QR doesn’t have proper engagement. We learned the hard way. Leoxz hasn’t been very good about remedying the issue either. I paid for the POS QR and it’s a paperweight. I spent 225 on a podium hub to make this work. Not cool at all.
@@86vetteracer I said it can be used on the DD1/2 I just never said how.
@@86vetteracer I always research everything.
This is a wheel designed for F1 driving, if you are on a budget and only can a afford one wheel the buy a regular wheel so you can play all types of racing games.
@@86vetteracer I run the Leoxz on my DD2. Thankfully I never ran into the issue but Leoxz sent me a brand new QR for free that's meant to work on the DD1 and DD2 wheelbases. It's got the locking pin and everything in it. My wheel feels super solid now. It might be worth contacting them or whatever retailer you purchased it from. I bought mine from Race Anywhere and they emailed me letting me know of the problem Leoxz was having and they forwarded all my information to them.
Cant buy it but I’ll put it on my wishlist😂 good vid oc!
Thanks 😂👍
Can I also play this setup with the Fanatec DD PRO and the Leox steering wheel on my Ps5?
And can you suggest any custom steering wheels that are also compatible with the DD PRO and with Ps5?
I think those side encoders are meant to be used exactly like you did in the video, not step by step. So one flick in any direction should be the same as if moving a single step in that direction. Not sure if it is achievable in console though
Nice to know there are options for my shiny new CSL DD 😎
I like the looks but am not too keen on the needing to use software not supplied by the manufacturer....but if it works (eventually...) so be it. Great review with top notch editing Oscar, keep up the awesome work!
Really, really, really nice looking piece of gear! Shame about needing to use a cable, and yet another piece of software for it to work, but I guess that's the bar for entry for 3rd party wheels isn't it? And at least its a plugin.
I. am. buying. one. ASAP. Holy. Crap. Love your channel.
Just an okay rim, have a happy 4th of July.😉👍
Amazing it has tm compatibility as well, I’ll look into one as soon as my sf1000 starts kicking the bucket in a few years 😂
But as far as I know they can passtrough the data with out the cable at least is how Simufy sells then
FYI - it can be used with DD1 as I currently have upgraded from CSL DD and I’m still able to use the Leoxz wheel
The qr notch only engages with rubber on the podium bases. Compare it with a native fanatec qr and you’ll see what I mean
@@akpanjennings I Jane no clue if what this means, but I use it with no issues at all with DD1 since months
This wheel works amazing on my Fanatec DD1. Its not a bad idea by Fanatec to outsource more products
It’ll strip the shaft if you don’t swap QR’s. That’s why they took down DD1/2 compatible. Put a podium hub on it or you’re going to be changing the DD1 shaft soon.

I have a DD1 and the Leoxz works perfectly
Interesting LOL. They specifically told me to mention that it does not work with the DD1 or 2
@@OCRacing quick release ??
@@OCRacing yes ... quick release , big problem !!!!!

" Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to follow up on a review we published a while back on the Leoxz XF1 Sim Racing Wheel.
While I haven't experienced the issue personally, we have received two reports now of this wheel when combined with the Fanatec DD1/2 bases specifically causing damage to the wheelbase. This appears to occur due to the keyway on the Leoxz-designed Fanatec compatible QR not extending the full length of the shaft. On the DD1/2 this is an issue as the keyway only aligns with the rubber sleeve and not the metal shaft itself, which allows the wheel to twist.
This is not an issue on the CSL DD, GT DD Pro, CSW2.5 or CSL Elite, but if you own a DD1/2 I would recommend not purchasing this wheel until Leoxz come up with a solution.
Please see attached images supplied by one of the users who had the issue."
bad idea ....
I’d be so down for this wheel if it was Xbox compatible. Would love if Fanatec collaborated with these guys to make that happen as it’s a far superior looking wheel to the Formula V2.
Will you review the Thrustmaster TH8S that got announced?
Great review/edit and really like the wheel!! But...I am on Ps5😂
Hi i have a,qr2 but without the pins and a SRM tiny emulater will this work like that with the usb
I’m currently using the SF1000. Great rim. This wheel looks mega but my hands being big would be an issue.
The SF1000 is still a great choice. This one does feel a little more premium with less plastic and more high quality materials though.
@@OCRacing yea it definitely looks like it. More durable as well.
I’ve had my wheel for three years now, one of the buttons has already gone dodgy.
Still runs great. Would probably upgrade to Moza next, the r9 maybe.
I'm not sure how Fanatec does it with the shifters, but every other company makes them so freaking loud! I was into this wheel until you actuated the shifters...
wish i could afford it looks awesome asf
Definitely a stunning looking wheel. Just gotta save up a bit 🫡
I have been wanting to order this wheel but it has been out of stock :(
We joke about moza shifters being loud but damn them buttons
exactly what i’m after, i really want the information built into the steering wheel for my Fanatec CSL DD rather than having all the info plastered all over the screen. are their any other alternatives before i pull the trigger on this wheel?
How have you found the durability of the cable and connector on the wheel? This is the biggest thing stopping me buying. I've seen reports of unreliability.
Hey, really good review there! Thanks for that, but do you really need the cable when there is a Fanatec quick release??
(Btw feiere deine Videos)
I find that moza has released THE most interesting steering wheel...in terms of basic steering wheels.
The one you present is quite noisy...too noisy?? ... difficult to operate and .... probably heavy .... how heavy is it, with this screen that few will watch and the current quick release??
Its small size, will not be easy, with more than 10 nm ...
Keen to checking out the new Moza rim, haven’t heard from them in a while unfortunately lol
@@OCRacing 😥 correct
The same wheel, without the screen, with the 2 top encoders removed and just the gearshift paddles... less noise .... the product would certainly be more interesting.
The current steering wheel is just a siren, for those who already have a big configuration or who only want the most beautiful.
This is a defensible point, but there are few of them.
The never reply to email too, just like fanatec 😂
I am planning to get a wheel which should I get logitech or thrustmaster? Love the vids btw
Does anyone know if you can upgrade the quick release to a genuine fanatec qr so it can be used on the dd1 and dd2?
Hi, will my current qr1 work with this? Or do i need to buy the qr1 from leoxz?
Cheers ! Looking for a bigger one then the f1 1 from Fanatec this is similar size ? looks like it . nice vid mate
He told in the clip it is 275mm
Man you have to do more giveaways!
Do you have any problems with the cable that connects to the pc? I just had mine this week and he keeps disconnecting...on the wheel is not strongly attached...already talked to leoxz, they will send me a new one but i am scared if it keeps breaking....
Do fanatech wheels have 900 degree rotation
Can you use it with xbox
Should feel pretty natural to look at ur wheel instead of ur in game dashboard. Might be sitting to high or some viewing angle / fov adjustments needed.
I think I’m gonna buy it
Let me know how you like it!
@@OCRacing ok I will
Great video!
the goat uploaded!!!
You already know 🫡🫡
Does ist work with fanatec QR2?
does this work on ps5?
Whish it was 290, not 275
Sadly this wheel has gone up like 200£ in price
me with a logitech: mm very cool
This is me watching a Ferrari 458 review
I've got Burger King hands as well. Lol
whats that sound at 5:12?
I believe Nico Rosberg uses this wheel
Can you explain how the wheel conflicts with the DDU800 at 6:27 ? I also have the DDU800 and I would like to know what issues you're having before I get this wheel. I assume you can't use both at the same time, which is understandable. But as long as you're using one or the other, is everything ok? Also, Leoxz does make a version of this wheel that does not run through Simhub and has its own specific dash screens.
From my experience, using both the DDU800 and the wired Leoxz XF1 Pro required too much power from my USB inputs and as a result, I wasn't able ot use both simultaneously. However, I was told by Leoxz and other people online that using a powered USB adapter should solve the problem.
This is what I was told by Leoxz:
"If you are using an external USB hub to connect them, we recommend using a powered USB hub. USB hubs without power supply usually provide lower current, and if you are simultaneously open two screens and many RGB leds, it may cause abnormal operation due to insufficient power."
All my problems with the DDU800 dash were solved as soon as I used a different, non-USB wheel.
@@OCRacing oh ok that makes perfect sense. I'd likely not have the dash mounted when using the XF1 or any wheel with a display so no worries. Thanks for the quick response!
Why would the dd1 and dd2 not work with wheel?
The qr notch only engages with rubber on the podium bases. Compare it with a native fanatec qr and you’ll see what I mean
Fanatec might just to buy the company outright, could be even cheaper than their own internal product development
Another 275mm wheel? Might as well get a CS v2.5 for $400
Is this setup with the csl and the xf1 works on xbox?
no
Ss, are these really any better than playing with, say , an Xbox controller.
Infinitely yes for racing games
I have one and it's perfect for formula cars
Cool! What wheelbase do you use it with?
5:50 is this crackle a bug or a feature? Otherwise excellent video
Not sure what you’re asking. What’s a crackle?
@@OCRacinghe cracking in the sound at the given time stamp the OP is referring too. I think it was put in as a sound effect?
@@OCRacingou also have an issue at 6:21 I'm sure that isn't on purpose. It sounds like a bug with the sound upload. There's also a lot of crackling there after also
Music goes as hard as the wheel does 🤧
Hehe thanks. I spend too much time choosing the right songs
I wonder if it works with simucube
I do not think so unfortunately
@@OCRacing that sucks well thanks for telling me man
Hi friend! The XF1 series has 6 70mm QR connection holes on the back, which can be used as long as you have a QR compatible with Simucube, and at the same time, must have the USB used for both power supply and data transmission.
@@Leoxz_official REALLY oh wow thank you for telling me that this wheel is perfect for me.
Can use it on PlayStation?
No
If you need help reviewing it more just send it right over here 😂
Huge brain 🧠😂
Is this still supported
Yes, it works plug n play with the qr2.
can you drive to the coffee shop.
it looked so nice until I saw the price...
If you look at the rest of the market for a wheel like this this is a bargain
No console unfortunately
I have console 😢
I don't know but nowadays I have the impression that youtube channels just have the purpose to sell stuff that we can't afford or don't need.
Yes and no ... the chains are especially present, to inform us of all the movements on the sim racing .... everyone to know if he is interested or not
Enthusiast sim racing is expensive bro
@@akpanjennings Go tell that, to those who are top ranked, with g25 pedals and a T300 steering wheel, fixed on an ironing board lol.
A few days ago, I was watching a terrifying video, where a guy doing great times, actually uses .... a keyboard and a mouse!!!!
but not support ps5😩
its look like McLaren F1 wheel ngl
I feel dumber because of that background music.
hello
Hey, how are you doing this fine day?
3:23 here is the XF1 Pro next to the mclaren gt3 rim
me: bruh
also me: it's a alpine rim!!!!!!!!!
it looks like the mclaren f1 wheel
I think it looks like the Mercedes one lol.
i don't like the cable
fanatec would never
They do have some exciting wheels like the Bentley one but I’m yet to hear anything about it :/
that looks like mercedes... f1
Should I stick a Mercedes logo on it? 👀

The best Fanatec Prodocut is allways to not buy a Fanatec Product
Ouch
Good video, poor product
wdym?
Good review but…….. missed a lot of commentary between muting the ghetto music….. just review things. Personal music choices are just that, personal….
lol cry
Only if i had a good pc to use this 😅
Slowly but surely gotta upgrade your gear and before you know it, you’ll have your dream setup 👍
The screen get more fps than when I play ACC😅
