    I forgot to add here that these two disa valves turned out to be both bad and had to be rebuilt because they had oil inside. I offer these manifolds for sale with rebuilt fully working disas on eBay linked below, I’ve rebuilt many valves before and by now I rebuild every one I get, checking for play isn’t enough to know if they’re good or not. It’s very annoying to put the manifold in and to have to take it back out to replace a faulty valve, most disas out of junkyard cars will not be working at all or will be very slow and not close all the way, sorry for the misinformation!

      TheRSpec that’s great news! Hopefully you get it sorted out. I couldn’t find any solid information on how the hose setup should go with the manifold swap before doing mine so I had to make a video about it, easily overlooked part of the swap but important when you’re in there.

    Hey thanks for providing alot of great information in this video.
    Are the f10 manifold direct plug and play for the lci 328i?
    Was reading through forum someone mention that there's a DME bracket came on the f10 manifold and by removing that it will leave a hole in the intake.
    I'm looking through the parts diagram but cannot confirm this is true.

    Im working on my 328xi right now. What my process is,
    magnesium valve cover swap + single port Stage 3IM. (stock IM was two port) Buying the oil return pipe to feed from oil separator back into the oil pan and should hook up directly at that point. If you still read your comments Auto Hut. This is correct right?

    So ideally, if your model has a two port setup, look for the dual disa's with a dual port. If you have a single port dual disa look for that, am i getting that right?

    • @autohut3720
      @autohut3720  3 роки тому

      You have almost for sure a single stage intake manifold if the manifold doesn’t have black squares right above the throttle body and one behind it between the intake runners it’s a single stage manifold with no variable runner length. The 3 stage has 3 different runner lengths to make more power in all rpm ranges and utilizes the disa valves to switch between those 3.

    I’m about to replace my starter and while I’m there I want to replace my plugged double port hose to a single hose because my manifold has one port, I just want to know exactly which single hose to get.. I’m driving an 07 328i

    • @autohut3720
      @autohut3720  3 роки тому

      The way to go about what you’re trying to achieve is to get probably a 3/4in (measure diameter yourself too to double check) hydraulic hose and run it from the single port manifold pcv heater to your valve cover. There isn’t any stock pcv hose which goes from the plastic valve cover to the single port manifold because the single port was only used with the early cars with the metal covers and outside oil separator which means you can’t use that hose and setup as yours has the oil separator already inside the valve cover.

    From which year/model can I get the stage 3 Intake manifold and will it direct fit onto an 09 bmw 128i n52k? From what I've been told, only the 1m edition/135i has the stage 3 intake Manifold?

    • @autohut3720
      @autohut3720  4 роки тому +1

      The 1m and 135i have a completely different engine, N54 which is twin turbo. The 3 stage manifold will come in any of the X30i cars with the N52 engine in the USA aswell as some 328i with the N51 engine but thats rare. Some other cars you can find the 3 stage intake in are the BMW X3 and X5 with the N52 engine. The 2010 ish 528i also comes with a 3 stage intake manifold but you have to check. Just look for if it has a DISA valve on top of the throttle body,

    • @autohut3720

      John Cruz well, most of the 3 stage intakes are all about the same. Does the intake have two disa valves? If it does you’re in the clear. You should take them out and check their condition, they can be worth more than the intake itself.

      John Cruz Then they scammed you, or well let’s not call it that but maybe lack of knowledge on their side. Get it returned, you’ll be safe if you ask for an intake from an x3 3.0 or X5 3.0 07 and up with the n52 or anything like a 330 or 530

    hello i got the tune on my 2006 325i with the metal valve cover and i bought a manifold with the dual port setup. from what i understand, you want me to block off the port to the left if my current manifold is a single port? couldn’t i use both ports without a problem or no?

    • @autohut3720
      @autohut3720  3 роки тому

      Alex Cooper well to be honest this video while helpful and covers a lot of stuff it misses something I learned about later which is the fact that you can convert your stock setup in your car from single to dual port. If you’re already doing this job you can go and order the hoses for the dual port cars with the external oil separator and you don’t need to block off anything and instead your car just gets converted to the dual port updated version with the hoses. However if you just want to block stuff up you do the one without the pcv heater

    The heat sink is where the DME is mounted. It prevents the DME from exchanging heat with the Manifold.

      Hey that engine usually has its own 3 stage intake manifold. However yours might be a 2 stage intake. In which case you’ll be missing one of the two disa intake flaps. This is a thread on the forums that deals with this upgrade for a 323i Canadian spec. Maybe it will be helpful.

      Your car doesn’t have an oil separator externally. It’s all inside the plastic valve cover. You can replace the diaphragm in the pcv in the valve cover but it’s very tricky. Might aswell replace the cover. However make sure this is your issue as it could be many things
