Before I cleaned intake valve idle is 800 round per minute. After cleaned it, it’s 700 now. Although it’s not look like as I respect. But it’s worked
Really good job and amazing results. Unfortunately it's necessary for a most of new engines with direct fuel injection (gasoline). Sometimes it mandatory for diesel due to EGR works. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and I wish you all the best in New Year.
Great point! Thanks for watching and merry Christmas
EGR isn't that big of an issue, a leaky PCV valve + egr fumes is what creates the big deposits.
@@em4703 Yes I think your correct, I thinking of using a oil catch can coming out of PCV
5g😢
@@martinmuldoon603 alot ppl crazy to use catch can not all engine are equal sometime they need catch can but rare *

A sand blaster from HarborFreight is like 10 bucks, some fine walnut media is like 25 bucks also from HarborFreight so for 40 bucks you can do it the way professionals do it and it is so much faster when you do walnut blasting then using chemicals and a brush. To top it off in the long run it’s cheaper using walnut you can do probably 20 four cylinder engines with the one box of walnut, when using chemicals it’s way more expensive plus it takes longer. Also some chemicals can swell the valve seals which will cause the valve seals to start leaking, obviously the chemicals aren’t in direct contact with the valve seals but you are using compressed air and the chemicals are on the valve stem so some will work it’s way up the stem. Anyways if you clean the valves up nice all you need to do to keep them clean is use a cleaner every 15k miles or once a year you want a chemical that sprays a light mist through the intake over a good 30-45 minutes I have a pressurized fuel injection kit that runs off compressed air and I have an attachment that sprays a very fine mist it’s so fine it’s almost like a fog and it run it before the throttle body I run it at a lowest pressure I can to where it’s still a very nice mist so it lasts as long as possible usually 30 mins or more and if u use a quality chemical it will clean the carbon deposits off the intake valve and the intake runner, if u do this every 15k or every year after the valves are clean it will keep them clean so u don’t need to do pull the intake to clean the valves. You can actually buy a pressurized fuel injection cleaning kit that comes with the same mist attachment that I’m talking about for 50-100 bucks on eBay. The kit I have is much more expensive but I use it every day and I’m sure the cheap ebay kit will work just fine for someone to use at home. If u have direct injection buy one of the kits and keep ur valves clean before you have a problem.
Even if you use the walnut blaster, you still need the chemicals.
Not everyone has an air compressor and you also didn't account for special vacuum cleaner attachment that is vehicle specific for the intake ports to suck up walnut media
Do that often enough the engine should last forever!
Yes, for sure, I can feel so much power now
Love from morocoo my friend ❤ merry Christmas.
Thanks, merry Christmas
Is this cleaners are safe in the engine and valves seals? How can i change the valve from open to closed position?
@@AliMECH you're welcome. You to. God bless you.
Some people use ac delco foam for cleaning and that cause engine problem...there is a new material for this from bluechem group...called k1 and k2
I seen some foam products, but don't know how good they clean, u have to try it my self, but this method worked well
What about contact surface that’s what matters the most keeps them seated right.
Great job & straight to the point .

Makes me wonder how well oven cleaner would work. It's been removing carboned cheese for years.
Excelente excelente hermano ésto lo tengo que hacer yo también. Te felicito.
Gracias, saludos
Nice information, thanx bro 🙏
Welcome
Hello, you have closed the first valve, maybe the first and fourth are closed, and the second and third remain open. Shall we repeat once again closing the second and third valves, or not? If this cleaner is not available with wd40, can I use Ice Diclo instead? Greetings
Pressure wash on the alternator gave me the 🙈🙉🙊
Great video! Thanks for your work!
Thanks
Awesome Video 🤘🏽
Thanks for watching
Very good job
Thank you! Cheers!
Please guide me how make inhone degreaser at home which gave me better result
How much difference you felt after cleaning valves?
It was a lot actually, better engine response, better fuel efficiency
@@AliMECH 👍👍 I have one more question, how long the difference you had noticed after cleaning valves, lasted for weeks or same as it was after cleaning?
@King Khan so far its same, because I have oil Catch can installed on the engine, so i won't have dirty intake valves again
@@AliMECH ❤️❤️ beautiful, I have six cylinder car so that would require a bit of effort, still learning how to turnover crank shaft to close down the remaining valves.
does the type of metal of the engine head determine which chemicals you can use? Also do you think that engine decarbonisation does a similar thing, I know there is no physical contact there only a chemical reaction (I'm also gonna check and see if this is explained the other vid you linked with no contact cleaning)
yes it does, some cleaners will literally eat away aluminum blocks if not completely cleaned off with water
Great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Valve seals get damage for the chemicals youre using, not recommended... wallnuts blasting is the way to go for..
Hi ali, can you please make a video regarding automatic transmissions diagnosing and repairs, specifically with the solenoid valves. Thanks in advance
FYI problem with those valves is that subcontractor reduced tolerances from thousandths to tenths
Nice job🔥💯
Thanks 🔥

How do we know which cylinder is in open position and which one is in close position after we remove the intake manifold? 2018 Corolla LE.
You have to look at the intake holes, the open ones will be with intake valve down

Awesome! Thank you!
Good job
Thanks
Is it ok, if the alternator gets wet?
Yes, its splash proof
How do you find out if your car has direct or indirect
location of the injectors,
if its on the manifold its indirect,
if not its direct
My friend had a intake valve carbon buildup in his v6 ranger , Ford couldn't find out why yhe engine was bucking, took it to an old mechanic who made him run his engine until it was hot , he then proceeded to pour ice cold water in the intake with the engine at high rpms, it literally destroyed the carbon build up and it ran like new afterwards
A can of oven cleaner works a treat, get the foam one
Yes, it works great too
Catch cans doesn't prevent carbon build up....
Very nice
Thanks
oil catch can?

How to know that which cylinder is closed
This doesn’t work for direct injection. The car you’re working on is port injection which this method will work. But direct injection you’ll need walnut blasting to properly clean it and look like that.
wow..i must try
✌️
That’s ballsy 😂
I own BMW x3 f25. Considering how the Germans engine manufacturing, doing this would probably be impossible for me
And if that's result from failing valve stem seals, guess what's inside the chambers!
Turn on engine when manifold is open?
Le produit en france c est xenum
kral türk müsün?
can be cleaned with a brass or bronze brush?
I don't recommend that, because any small scratches on valve shaft, it will leak oil
@@AliMECH I don't think small scratch on the valves shaft will make a leak , because the valves are in close position (all the way up )when cleaning ,any scratch on the valves shaft can not go up to the valves stems to make a leak
Nah I ain’t doing that hoss. Just use marvel mystery in the fuel tank.
Kral aksandan yakaladım
mine : lose compression for a while
That’s a lot of work. Don’t seem like it cleaned the seat face where it actually does the sealing.
I dont accept using this chemical materials in the intake valves ,i think this will be harmful
I'll stick to my port injected engines.
The best way to clean the valves is to not buy a direct injection only engine. Manufacturers need to figure that it doesn't work on gas engines.
What other engine you’re recommending? Brand?
Direct injection is fantastic technology when implemented correctly.
The problem is the critical part of carbon build up is on the VALVE SEAT. This does NOTHING to clean the valve seat. The GDI engine needs to be running when subjected to the cleaning chemical to have any impact on the valve seat surface.
bundle zip ties and attach to drill
❤👍👍👍
🙏🙏
Or just buy a Toyota, they put dual injectors in to prevent this
Yes but only newer models, but installing oil Catch can will minimise that problem
Nothing like spending thousands of dollars on a defective engine!
Зачем?
there's a big risk, what if some of cleaner leaked inside the valve
must be done with valves closed.
Nothing wrong with a little leaking it, it will burn and go out the exhaust
Hello, you have closed the first valve, maybe the first and fourth are closed, and the second and third remain open. Shall we repeat once again closing the second and third valves, or not? If this cleaner is not available with wd40, can I use Ice Diclo instead? Greetings
I saw you can remove the liquid in the cylinder by turning the engine with a remote started while coils and plus are removed, it will push the liquid out of the plug holes.
Nothing, blow it out the exhaust it's a good idea to blow can of seafoam into the intake 2x a year change good oil be fine its an engine seen 454s with so much gank on valves you wouldn't think run!
Cheap harbor freight walnut blasters along with my small air compressor works perfect every time. From tear down to back up and running again only takes me about 3 hours. Using walnuts to blast carbon creates perfectly clean, brand new looking valve stems and cylinder head. Plus you don't get the gunky mess you get with chemical cleaning.
Can you explain how to do it and what all I would need to buy please? I would appreciate it
@@acogjefe4769First of all, you will need an air compressor the larger the better, but small ones do work. You will just have to wait longer for air to build up. Then you need to buy a “media blaster” it should look like a five gallon bucket or a metal tank. For the abrasive material you will be using crushed walnut shells, they usually come in 50lb bags.
I recommend some way to shoot the walnut and use a shop vac to pull away the waste at the same time. Much less work compared to cleaning up after blasting.
@@Rayden440 i appreciate you so much!
@@Rayden440 could you please explain how to make sure my valves are closed?
@@acogjefe4769 I can think of a few methods:
1. The simplest method is to just look at it, it’s pretty obvious which valves are open or close since you already have the intake off. They sell stuff like those snaking inspection cameras if your intake is toward the firewall. Or you can use light and mirror.
2. The second way is to take off the valve cover and look at the rocker arm and springs. The ones being compressed is the valve being opened. I won’t recommend this method because you will likely need to replace gasket, and may cause an oil leak from the head cover later down the road.
3. This final method is the most advanced. You take out the spark plugs and put a straight rod into the spark plug hole. It should be long enough to reach the piston even at bottom dead center. If you know the firing order of your engine, you can look for the compression stroke (that’s when all valves should be closed) by watching the rods go up and down. Remember to turn the engine over by hand and don’t use the starter.
WD40 is NOT a penetrating substance; it is a WATER DISPLACEMENT solution, thus the acronym "WD" meaning Water Displacement.
apparently a bundle of zip ties on the end of a drill will spin and break up carbon build up like magic.
Excellent experimentation and presentation, thanks.
Thanks for watching
Thanks bro you gave me a great idea, I have an engine that I pulled out of my car and removed the intake manifold, I'm in a desert region in Southern Arizona so there's light debris and maybe light surface rust from moisture, I stored it outside for 2 years and ready to put it back in but wasn't sure about the best way to clean the valves and valve ports, thank you for this helpful information
Glad I could help man, I like Arizona ✌️🇺🇸
Excelente 🎉 presente cordial saludo desde Navojoa Sonora México
Gracias
I use oven degrease product to soap n clean all that gunk out from intake manifold, works great!!!
Yes I'm sure that will work so good, great information
You are the best!
Thanks
Great video, I have a Mazda 6 with exactly that fault it’s in garage now being fixed .
idk if im just not smart. but how do i open and close the intake valves 😭
let me guess? you from Poland 🇵🇱.
Not really
I don't agree to use WD-40 because it carries penetrating oil which will act as magnet to attract dust particles. Rest of procedure is fine
WD-40 can also potentially damage those intake valve seals, too if they are rubber which they usually are...I'm gonna use a little Blaster silicone lubricant on mine tomorrow (along with the zip tie method) it actually states on the can that it's totally safe for use on rubber and that it won't accumulate dust & dirt! I might even use a little engine degreaser if I feel it still needs a little extra cleaning power but it should be good enough along w/ the manual cleaning...then I'm gonna run a full can of CRC intake valve & turbo cleaner thru it after I get it all put back together just to clean up the undersides of the valves & the tops of the pistons...
Can I do that in a chrysler 300?
Sure
Can we oil the cylinder after this procedure? To make walls lubricated for extra care ? Oiling through spark holes
It won't hurt anything if you don't use too much. Too much and you could hydrolock or quickly foul your spark plug. Just a few drops
Keep watching and support especially 45sec. Ads from Al Khafji Saudi Arabia 👍
Thanks for your support 🙏
Is for diesel engines?
It was for gasoline engine
Popcorn and put some each hole and cover whith rag then blow compressor hard inside try
Next time tape off the cilinder that has the open valves ! debree kan enter the engine like this!
These valves are not realy dirty...if they are you need more tools and a pick to clean them around the stam of the valve.
Please, how do you turn the engine?
From crankshaft, or half startup
@@AliMECH thanks bro, so how you do turn from the crankshaft?
@@aryezzadin934just remove all of the spark plugs & rotate the crank bolt in whatever rotation your engine runs 🏃♂️
It's usually clockwise unless you have an older Honda Accord or something weird so just verify 1st...also, you CAN leave the spark plugs in if you don't mind fighting against the engine compression and/or you're looking for a good workout!💪
I do that to my Peugeot 107(211km) with positively result!
Thank you Alimech!
You're welcome! That's awesome, thanks for watching
Diesel? The 1.0L petrol engine isn't direct injection.
Why no wire brush? There's not really anything you can damage with closed valves.
I can feel my Hyundai accent needs this bad since it’s got a gdi engine. I’m gonna try this and clean the catalytic converters. Also how do you know which pistons are up and which are down?
Hello
Did you get the information?
If you get the information
Can you shared with me please?
How to know valves are in open position without open rocket cover ?
I you have one valve seat that is leaking I guess the chemical gets in the engine, not so good!
how to clean diesel intake? which cleaner to use?
Great info...❤️❤️
Glad it was helpful!
I ended up trying to clean carbon off the intake valves on my 74 MGB and had minimal success with any trick until I ended up trying a can of Liqui Moly valve clean. I soaked the valves overnight with the head at an angle and the next day it flaked off like it was dandruff. Liqui Moly valve clean is the best product I tried yet, and it works best in the gas tank. Use it occasionally and your valves and pistons will remain carbon free.
What??😂
Liquid Moly is almost magical
How is silinder on outlander sport, any same?
Thank you for the tutorial. Please tell me what substance you washed it with. What spray?
Engine degreaser
I should bring my car to you and pay for yoyr service. 👍
Seriously...if in the U.S.
Not in USA, but thanks for your support 🙏
Great video. But I’m wondering, obviously one of the cylinders is going to be in the intake stroke and the intake valve will be open.
All that cleaner is going to go inside the cylinder. How did you manage that so the car will start again since the cylinder may have a lot cleaner in it? Thanks.
You can turn over the engine by hand so both valves are closed, if your that worried about it you can just remove the spark plugs/ heater plugs, when you turn the engine over any debri/fluid will eject from there.
Great job, but how did you bring out the diary out from the inside the engine, please
It burns and comes out from Exhsust
oh the alternator is screaming for help
if you want to pull your intake its cake sure..
