    thank you this helped out alot!! It gave me confidence to do the flash. I'm on hour 2 of the new flashed BMW 128i and I'm super happy. Idle is little rough at start, but I'm expecting that to smooth out as the adaptations do their thing in the next few days.

      That’s awesome. Honestly it’s nice to hear when it works out well. Bimmerlabs did a great job with having the tunes available and yeah I imagine the adaptations would one, take a couple days of driving and two, would probably help your idle.

      @@AlonzoCubano turns out that I had to reflash it a few times for the rough idle to go away... I don't know if there were some errors coded in with the low car battery voltage. But it's all peachy now. Thanks again for taking the risk for all of us.

      @@AlonzoCubano hey brother. I did it with out the manifold installed. So that might have contributed to the rough idle. But it could also have been a minor vacuum leak or intake issue on my end. I did end up flashing it back to stock because…. I didn’t need the extra torque in my town and I valued the smooth start up more. But in the future, once I get things sorted, I’ll try again with the 3 stage manifold. It was super weird that the rough idle was only for a few seconds during start up……

    Thank you so much for the tutorial. I followed this guide and heres what I have to say:
    I flashed this tune on a 2007 525xi and did NOT install a 3 stage intake manifold.
    Preliminary: Having a fast laptop REALLY helps. I did this on my laptop I use for engineering school and the RSA delete took only 4 mins instead of the expected 20-40mins i was seeing online.
    1. Follow this tutorial video till after the RSA delete and tune is flashed
    2. Cycle ignition on and off (i did 4 times)
    3. Turn on the engine and idle till it gets to operating temp
    4. Turn off engine and clear codes (Ista/Inpa/code reader/etc)
    5. Turn on engine and let it idle for 2 mins
    6. Turn off engine and reset adaptations (I used ista, but i think its possible to do this in inpa, i just know how)
    7. Turn on engine and let it idle to operating temps, then take it for a spin (dont push the car too hard cause its still learning adaptations)
    Conclusion: I was very happy with the tune, definitely feels a lot faster but i cant confirm numerically cause i dont have access to a dyno.
    I will say that while it does not throw a check engine light on the dash, it does throw hidden codes that show up on ista. The 3 codes are:
    1. DISA valve 2 isnt working
    2. DISA valve 3 isnt working
    3. The ECU code has been tampered with
    These make sense because i didnt install a 3 stage intake manifold so there are technically 2 DISA valves missing. The final code is a no brainer. I would suspect that this voids warranty so dont do this if you are under warranty. Other than that, the car runs fine and the lower power band feels great so its no longer sluggish at stop signs.

      If you're still running without the 3IM, try uploading a 0-60 pull on your channel. A stock 525xi will take 7.5 second to reach 60 from a stand-still

      I assume the new 2021 California smog check that looks at 3 ECU code tampering means this will never pass smog in CA anymore. Can you clear 3 before a smog check by flashing back to stock or is it Petmenent!?

    Thank you so much Alonzo. SO just a few tips from hours of reading forums.
    Before doing any of this, make sure to drive the car around for 30 minutes to top off the battery.
    1. you only need to copy the NCSEXPER, EDIABAS and EC-APPS over to you C: directory. Do not delete the old files stated in the instructions you will be missing some critical files.
    2. Once the RSAdelete flash is done (20 min in my personal experience) ... really the most nerve wracking part of the whole thing... you can flash between 330, 330 mafless and stock files in under 2 minutes at will. So the RSA delete files only needs to be done once and that's it!!!
    3. make sure you download the stock flash in the project tab. There will be 4 files, and you only need one of the .ODA files. -- uncollapse the details next to the tune and make sure you flash the corresponding .ODA file.
    It takes a bit of detective work but you will not need the .OPA file flash under the stock tunes. Worse case scenario, you can flash all 4 .ODA files, one at a time until the right one is installed. you'll know it's the wrong stock .ODA file flash if you get crank/no start. Thanks to Bimmerlabs for this amazing open source code.
    also relax and know that most everything is recoverable, and you can always pay someone to remote flash it for you if you mess up. unless you try to flash your trans.... trans flash faults can brick you trans unit. good luck everyone just go for it.

    Just did this on my 325i. It's a 2006, so I had to put the switch to the left. It worked flawlessly--can't tell the difference in speed so well because it's slipping in the rain, even in third! Throttle response is WAY better, too. Honestly, I'm stunned.

    This worked flawlessly for me on a 2011 328i X-Drive.
    You should have no issues as long as you have the software installed and set up correctly. It certainly wakes the car up when combined with the 3-stage intake manifold.

    Hey Alonzo, this is a great video and it helped me out a lot!! A few questions though:
    How do you know the tune was successfully programmed without any doubt? Is there a way to check?
    What codes popped up for you afterwards?
    Have you experienced any other issues possibly related to the tuning?
    I have an early model 3 stage intake with only one port for vent hose but my stock single stage has a 2 port, any experience or know of anyone who has still completed this type of swap?

      These are all really good questions and I appreciate you watching. As for your last question, I am aware that there are a couple types of the 3 stage intake manifold. From my understanding, you will need the one with two spots for your vent hose to complete this job the right way. Codes that have popped up for me were ,” no coding” (I cant remember the exact code number.) Others did pop up, but I cleared them and they didn’t come back. About the programming, I’m sure someone knows how to tell the different mapping after programming, I however, do not know. I can say I was successful doing this test. I plugged in the disa valves before I swapped intakes and I just tested to see they moved. They did.

      Thank you for watching and thank you so much for subscribing. To answer your questions, I have not seen a difference in fuel consumption honestly. I also, have not gotten it on a dyno. I do however feel more power all across the rpm range. I really feel it more so on the low end.

      I’ve never actually done this tune on an e92. Only e90. However, I would assume it had the same feel. You will more than likely feel a bit of a power increase across the whole rpm range similar to a 330i. With that being said, you will really feel a difference if you decide to go with the 3IM with properly working disa valves. Good luck and thank you for checking the channel out. Take care!

    there is an N51 specific RSA delete file on bimmer labs but there is not a 328 to 330 that appears when I look at available tunes. can I just use the N52 one instead?

      If you do this free tune paired with the three stage intake manifold upgrade, you should see a slight power increase. One similar to the 330i.

    Hi bro, I have a 325i n52b25a I did an engine swap to the n52b30a and converted my car into a 330i, it gives me cylinder failure in the 4 5 6,, because I don't understand it, change coils, spark plugs, lambda, and it still fails, can you help me please, you are great a phenomenal video, I have a problem that I don't know how to remove "code 2FA4"

      If you remove it, you may be able to code out the cel. This tune would not do that for you.

If you want to get rid of the air pump/eac, you may have to get a custom tune done. I’m trying to find out if there is a custom tune out there for my project car so if I find out, I’ll let you know.

    Amazing video bro. I know it’s been a while but was hoping you would still reply. Will this work on an euro spec 325i with the N52B25 engine? It comes with a factory 3stage intake manifold. Did some research but I couldn’t really get a firm answer.

      Hey thank you. I don’t see why it would not work as it’s mainly for all n52 engines, but I would check bimmerlabs website, make an account, include your vin and type of ecu and see if there is a “tune available” to find out for sure. Hopefully this was helping. Take cares

      @@NatanAlmeida99 Yes Natan have a look at your intake manifold. The 3 stage IM has two DISA valves. There is one small DISA on the left underneath the intake manifold (above the starter) and one big DISA attached on the right (just beside the throttle body).

    n52 325i are in models. 2,5l and 3.0l. In which one stage 3 manifold works or just in both?

      n52 325i for USA has 3.0l engine, the difference between 325i and 328i is that the first one has the intake manifold without any disa valve the second , 328i has only one disa and 330i has both disa valve...
      I have the European model 523i 2.5l with only one disa valve and I tune it to 525i with 2 disa valve...

    I have a question, in order to have WINKFP to work do I need the SP-Daten to be the one for my car or is that not necessary for this kind of mod?? or is the WINKKFP just the ap to install the 328I to 330I tune. I'm new to this that's why I'm asking

      In order to revert back to stock, you would need to use a program like ncs expert to flash your ecus. That I don’t have a walk through on, but I assume it would be a good idea to make one.

      I use to have one but bimmerlabs didn’t have a tune for sulev engines. I haven’t checked if they made one but you should check.

    Are you sure the small. DISA valve is being operated after the 330i tune flash? Have you tested it?
    I am not sure it s going to work if the power class in the tune is 0.

      So I’ve done this tune on a couple cars. One of which I was planning on swapping the 3 stage intake into (in which I eventually did). I like you wanted to make sure the valves would operate so what I did was take them out of the 3IM and plugged them into the connectors. I flashed the tune and revved the motor. The valves opened and closed as I suppose they were designed to.
      Also if you have more information pertaining to the power class selection, please leave it in the comments. I’m sure others would be interested.

    i did everything exactly as u said mine is {e90/325i/msv80/at} and didnt found rsa delete or any other custom tune and bimmer labs actually asked for money to tune my car :)
    am familiar with Winkfp NCS ... etc

      Hmm. I do know they will pull the 3 stage tune if they encounter any problematic feedback. I would just check back at a later date. I have never however, heard of them charging.

      If you want burbles, you may have to go to a tuner. This video is for the power upgrade from 328 to 330.

    I may be a bit late to the party, but I also have 325i. I'm not sure but it seems 25is came with 3 stage mani as stock, right?

      Really hard to work this out. I have an early gen 1 N52 325i with the grey engine cover, and I was surprised it has the 3 stage mani as standard. I thought I would have to get one, but nope, 2 disa valves right there. It also runs the MSV70 ecu apprantly but I have not checked this.
      I think some of the later gen 2 325i (black engine cover,) did not have the 3 stage mani, and therefore you can bolt them on and tune it and you got the power.
      If you have it already, I reckon, Improve the air intake upto the throttle body, decat.exhaust manifold, then this 330i flash map, and I reckon you will have a few extra horses.to play with. If no gain after that, then a custom tune is the only way for more.power I'd say

      @@razvan1927 havent found any usefull information relating to this... but i figured out for myself that it may be a smarter way to get the intake with the double disas and an 525 E60 DME and do an EWS DME adjustment with IMPA. im not quite sure if the lodged chassis number in the dme will strike anything.... thats my personal suggestion

    Hello, I have a 325i E90 N52. So can i add this tune without the stage 3 manifold first? Do you notice the difference straight away?

      Yes you can. In fact. I would personally advise doing the tune first so that if you do go with the 3 stage manifold, you can test the disa valves out before removing your intake. Good luck and thank you for watching.

      I have indeed done the intake as well and you definitely feel a bit more power across lower and higher rpm range. N52s typically lag a bit in the throttle response but I would suggest getting something to make the response quicker paired with the 3 stage intake and 330 tune.     I have a N51 engine(comes with the 3 stage manifold) Can I do this same process to get more power out of it? I see the RSA delete and 3 tunes on bimmerlabs just don't know if it takes advantage of the 3 stage manifold.

      Rsa delete allows your ecu to be tuned. I would not flash that if there isn’t a tune available for your car that says 28i to 30i or nomaf. The only way to know if there’s one available for your car is to make a profile with bimmerlabs, input your vin and dme type and it should tell you under downloads.

    I did it on my car following your intructions a 2008 328xi, now I'm getting the brake light abs and traction control lights on the dash I don't know what went wrong, did that happened to you ?

      It probably just needs to be reset. Try starting the car and rotating your wheel all the way left and all the way to the right.

      I drove it for like 4 miles and and it didn't reset I gave up and was like f this and just park and went to eat when I went back to the car the issue was gone. Thanks for the suggestion I did that as well

      Of course. I’m glad it went away. Usually after you flash an ecu, the calibration for the steering needs to be reset. It happens almost every time.

    hey man i had a question im having alot of trouble with the bimmergeeks down load it seem like when i follow there insturctions i always end up with one of the progams not working its either inpa or wink fp when i open winkfp it tells me initialization error. i really dont know what is going on. i even try to watch videos and i follow step by step but mine doesnt work like theres. is there anyway that someone can shed some light on that i would really appriciate it thanks! i really want to do this cause i already have the 3sm i just have to do this

      So many people have had issues with bimmergeeks downloads and it’s unfortunate because I’ve downloaded it and used it with no problems. With that being said, I have found another website that I recently used on another laptop that had most Bmw diagnostic programs, great instructions and hardly any issues online. The downside, it costs. The upside, it worked and everything functioned as it should. In no way am I affiliated with these guys, but I would suggest checking out Bimmer diagnostics for your inpa, ista +, winkfp downloads. Good luck. I have no control over bimmergeeks so I’m just trying to help. Good luck!

      A working version of winkfp is really all you need, however I would suggest downloading everything because then you could use inpa to make sure your kdcan cable is connected to your car properly in preparation to use winkfp.

      @@AlonzoCubano I bought one from Amazon too. Did everything just like the instructions said. Double checked everything. After it was all done I had a no com no start with cas module terminal 30. Had to send cas in to bimmerlabs for them to reprogram. They claimed as long as I followed the instructions then the only other variables are the cable from Amazon or my battery got too low and flash was interrupted. Anyways I bought a bimmergeeks protool cable and a 25amp charger so it should work this time

    Hi, I have a question. So when I download the bimmergeeks standard tools, it only gives me one file and it doesn’t give me an option to unzip this file like yours did on this video. I know my computer should have an unzip feature bc when I download the rsa delete and 330i tune, it’ll let me unzip those files. Any ideas on what could have happened?

      It's not down, the certificate has expired. Use chrome and type "thisisunsafe" after you get the insecure warning and it will load

    Is it the same process for a n51b30a engine but using the correct file? N51 engines are detuned n52s that have a bigger and more restrictive exhaust as a result of stricter emissions laws. so when BMW made the car they gave it a 3 stage intake and detuned it. anyone know? thanks for making the video!

      Thats correct. I had another person ask me this who had the n51 and they said there was a tune available on bimmer labs website for their car. I would advise checking there for the tune first, but the steps would be the same. Also, thanks for watching!

      @@EliHitsBills plenty have run this free tune without installing the manifold. I’m sure you’ll be fine. It essentially just changes the mapping to one of a 330 which has the same engine set up as the 325/328 etc. To answer your other question, yes.       i think i found the issue, my gdaten folder was in C:\EDIABAS\Bin\Server\data\gdaten. so i copied the gdaten folder and pasted in into C:\EC-APPS\NFS\DATA\gdaten. havent tried the flash yet but winkfp now opens without the error also going to note i havent plugged my car into the laptop yet
