    I liked this video you made because it is not hurried, has a few good assembly tips, and the camera work shows what needs to be shown to
    help with assembly. I say this now because I have a boxed saw stop contractor saw in my garage and I just opened it up to assemble. I
    don't think I'll have to view another you tube video, you've done it all. Thanks a lot.

      I appreciate the feedback on the video - I'm still very new to making videos so it is good to hear what people find useful. In the future I hope to add some tips n' tricks videos on adjusting sawstops, so stay tuned!

    Thank you Mr Lower. I just finished assembling my Sawstop Contractor and viewing your video ahead of time was most helpful, particularly the trick of clamping a piece of wood to the table to assist with positioning the cast wings.

    A bit late, but I moved and I need to finally get the dust collection hose attached and to stay attached. Did you have trouble with it? I couldn't get it to stay on the short pipe on the shroud. If you had trouble and figured out something clever I'd love to know about it. Or, if you didn't I'd like to know that too. 😊

      Two words: Hose clamp.
      I don't know if you tried this already, but dust hoses should generally be clamped on to machines, otherwise yeah the vibration will knock it off. I think a 4" diameter clamp should work? You can get the kind that use a screwdriver to clamp, but I like the kind with the little plastic wings that let you turn them by hand. Either way that should do the trick.

    Thanks for filming this. I am going to do this same job very soon hopefully. Nice to get a good visual and the clamps/tips are spot on.

    Good job! It was especially helpful to me, as, God willing, I'll have the same saw in a new shop large enough to house it. For a long time I've made do with miter, radial arm, and tracksaw, so I can hardly wait!

      I know some people swear by radial arm saws. I am not one of those people :).

    Excellent video, I have this exact Saw Stop contractor saw with the 36" T glide fence upgrade on order, this video was very informative, I'll watch it again when my saw arrives, prior to assembly. Thank you!

    Nice job. I notice that you mounted the base while the saw was still upside down. Your the second person that recommended this. Good tip! I'm expecting my sawstop contractor saw any day now.

      Thanks! I was worried the legs would buckle, but they held up just fine even with the bolts only finger-tight. I definitely recommend a second person no matter how you do it, though.

      @@MrLower Great video, thanks for taking the time to make it. I realize it's been two years---- but could you have turned the saw right-side-up without help? It's didn't look like you were straining at all.

    • @MrLower
      @MrLower  Рік тому

      @@randyhermann9347 I probably could have, yes. BUT I was being overly cautious because 1) I really didn't want to risk hurting myself and 2) I really didn't want to risk dumping my expensive new saw on the concrete. Your risk tolerance may be different.

    Saw Stop Safety paten runs out this August 2021 can be extended to 2024 it depends on how the government looks at the table saw safety after all Saw Stop a German company Festools sue to stop and won Bosch Reaxx, Whirlwind System for older saws not to be sold in the USA so I am betting the government will not allow it to go 2024 Also Saw Stop is the only table saw on the market that cannot a molding cutter because with 3 blades can't grab and stopped it, you may think I am down On Saw Stop and I am for not sharing and let other safety technology into table saw and I am big time, yet I own a Saw Stop at the time it was the only table Saw one could buy with a Sliding Table, now there a second Harvy and they are looking for there own Saftey technology to come out after August
