Thank you!!! I was finishing a sea turtle plushie for my little nephew and didn't want to use safety eyes cause they're not safe for very young kids, so I was worrying about how to make cute eyes - your tutorial is perfect, super clear, and helped me make super cute eyes for the turtle, it turned out great
I hop he liked it!❤
This is weird because I’m in the middle of crocheting a sea turtle for my 8 mo nephew which is why I came here 🤣🤣🤣
@@AbbeyBaker-y2z😂 well I can tell you, it turned out super well on mine!! Hope yours as well
What, I just finished crocheting a turtle for my nephew coming in a couple of weeks😅😅😅 and I didn't want to add safety eyes
I like your delivery. It was very calming and inviting.
I know it has nothing to do with the vid, but your glasses compliment your face so well!
@@thomasafrica9724 YAY thank you!
Thanks to you I now can create cute little eyes on my work without feeling like they make the overall project look inferior to if I were to use safety eyes. It’s so much more customizable than safety eyes too.
This was SUPER easy, much easier than I thought it would be! The results is absolutely adorable and perfectly safe for babies!
How do I sew in the ends of the yarn I used that's now on the outside of the animal 😂
I just came back to this video to let you know i was so sceptical of myself doing this but how it elevated my amigurumi 😮😮😮 i was so satisfied with the result i was surprised 😂😂 so thanks very much for sharing this with us, it's awesome 😎❤
Isn't it soooo crazy how it makes a difference?
Thanks!!! I crochet amigurumis for a few years but I always have difficulty with embroidery eyes :c thanks for the clear explanation I am so happy! ❤
This was a life saver! I didn't have the correct size saftey eyes for my lil chicken and I remembered I saved this video in a playlist. One eye came out completely perfect and the other eye was really wonky. It worked out anyway because I messed up the other side with the wonky eye.
How do I sew in the ends of the yarn I used that's now on the outside of the animal 😂
I'll try to make a vid 🤧
SAME
@@craftinginglory did you ever manage to get around to making this video? would be really appreciated!!
I am making my second plushie out of chenille yarn -- and a lovey, which is my largest size project so far, and was nervous about embroidering the eyes. Thanks for showing me how!
Thank you so much, I've made it my personal mission (no judgment to others) to only have finished fiber arts projects that are made from 100% organic materials AND I learned embroidery before crochet so crossing skills like this is super exciting
Thank you so much! Been trying to find a good tutorial on how to approach embroidered eyes, and they make a lot more sense now. Definitely gonna give this a shot. Been having issues getting safety eyes, and this is a great tip for an alternative method. Always wondered how you did yours~
YAY well gwen yw!
How do you get rid of the remaining string?
@FayePledger To secure your ends, work in pairs. Make sure you have 2 strands coming out of the same space, then tie them together tightly, & use the back end of your crochet hook or a yarn needle to push the tied strands inside your plushie. They will not show from the outside, & as long as your plushie is well stuffed they will be very secure. Hope this helps a bit.
This was super helpful, thank you! I like safety eyes but I would like to get better at embroidering eyes. Sometimes you just want the ability to add some extra personality. Sometimes you dont have the right size.
Same as someone else said, I think a vid on sewing in the ends would be super helpful if you feel up for it! A lot of crocheters kinda assumes you just know how, haha. But it's nice to see how an experienced person does it.
I dont crochet with chunky yarns, and I mainly embroider on super tiny stuff (keychain animals that sort of thing) so I dunno if I can get the same detail, but I felt like I learned useful knowledge anyway :) Hopefully I can make something cute on a tiny scale
I have a question, if the stitches of my plushie aren't horizontally but are vertically do I just follow the tutorial vertically or will it not work?
THANK YOU SO MUCH! THIS TUTORIAL WAS SO HELPFUL!!!! Like you i was in the same boat of needing more safety eyes but I didn’t have the expenses to purchase more and then when i saw that you had a tutorial for your adorable eyes i was like OH MY GOSH YESS THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Great tutorial! Very clear and your crocheted eyes are lovely! I'm going to try this because I'm trying to make plushies that are safe for babies.
Ugh yes this was my initial plan too!
Thanks so much for this tutorial!!! I was making a little pusheen and ive struggled with embroidering eyes for a while, but now with this tutorial i finally got it! Thanks again
AWESOME tutorial!!! Thank you!!!
Hi! I love your videos. I’m getting started learning how to crochet and was wondering if you could make a quick color changing tutorial for amigurumi, because that’s somthing I’ve been struggling on doing.

I know this is late but what eye color should i used. When i make a project that used black yarn? Because im making a ladybug and you said you should used the darkest yarn for eyes so what color should i used?
Can you please make it with other small yarns?? 🙏

What do I do with the strings that are coming out of the head at the end?

I didnt understand it but made my own designi guess
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I wanted to make a watermelon themed turtle with a watermelon shell and I wanted to make embroidered eyes because I didn't have the correct size safety eyes for it and this helped SO MUCH!
Hi, please answer, I have a question, how do si embroid eyes in a frog? Cause I made one but it’s hard to because the eyes are like shaped circular
Thank you for this tutorial!
I'm making a smaller animal and safety eyes just weren't cutting it. 😊
Now I know how to embroider eyes.
Thank you so much I have been looking for a tutorial for a while! Thanks to you I can make eyes Tysm!!!🩷
Hey sorry, what if I'm using acrylic yarn? It's tighter and harder to do this
This is great and very help full but I have one question what do you do with the ends when you are done? Thank you ❤❤
i was struggling for circle eyes but this helped! also why does the eye remind me of a pumpkin
I hate safety eyes. Theyre literally the worst and im horrible at sewing so this is the tutorial i needed. Thank you!! ❤
Hello. Glad i found your channel. I will be giving you a shout out on my channel in the coming month or two. I do alot of Amigurumi but i love ANYTHING crochet. I haven't done much on my channel over the past 6 months but i plan on getting back into it. I'm currently prepping for a few markets. I try to only do like 3 markets a t year because i work full time plus i have orders coming in from friends and coworkers.
I look forward to many more of your videos.
Awesome thank you!
Can I use buttons?
How would you sew in the ends?
I follow your Instagram and am so happy I found your channel!
Thanks for a super tutorial ❤❤ the eyes are so beautifull😊
Hii could you please show the tutorial on how to weave in the ends?
This is such an amazing tutorial! The knot eyes are wobbly, but these eyes are perfect and i can add details to them easily, I used them on my frog plushie and loved them, definitely use this technique in my projects! ❤
I think you are super cute and thank you for the tips!
Thank you so much❤
Thank you soo much!! This is soo helpful for me since I cannot afford safety eyes❤❤❤
Terrific tutorial. Thank you.
what a wonderful tutorial! I'm making a elephant plush for a 3 year old and I didn't want to use safety eyes. I really love how this style looks! I don't think I'll be buying large safety eyes again!
How do you tie it off
Do have any tips on embroidering eyes and etc on the chickens that are so popular? Should the chicken be fully stuffed first? I’m not getting the faces straight. It’s making me crazy! Thanks for your help😁
you should definitely stuff melissa before embroidery!
Omg can you make a tutorial og the pug ❤❤ its sooooo cute 😊
Really good video, you have a beautiful voice and it was really helping 🥰
U are amazing
i've been searching for months for a video like this, very helpful
awesome tutorial, thank you ^^
A BIGGER vertical line 😊
I love you glory ❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial , i was looking for some tutorials about embroidered eyes
Can you do one for acrylic yarn ❤❤❤
It works for acrylic too! It's actually the first yarn I had on hand to do this when I began crocheting plushues so I know it works 💪🏾
THANK YOU SO MUCH AND U SEEM SO NICE THIS WAS SO HELPFUL
Lw
i suck at embroidery thank you for this video
This is literally too beautiful, but can someone tell me what to do with the loose ends at the end?😭❤
@luisestein915 You work in pairs. Make sure you have 2 strands of yarn coming out of the same space, then just tie the loose end to the other loose end coming out of the same spot, then using the back end of your crochet hook or a yarn needle, push the tied ends inside the plushie. Repeat for each pair of 2 strands. They will not show on the outside & they will be secure as long as you stuff your plushie well. Hope this helps answer your question.
Thank you so much!
Thank you that was very helpful ❤
It’s so simple yet so genius 🥰 thank you so much. I’ve always used safety eyes but those aren’t allowed for baby stuff! I’ll try this out today 🙂 thank you
You're so welcome!
thank you!!! this helped alot! xoxo
Thank you for the tutorial!! Helpful. You photograph well btw.
Wow what a compliment 🥺
My chick is cutee noww
how do you sew in the ends
@@mollywagner2654 ill make a vid on it!
I have a question how do you tie it off without it being seen ?
@squishmellowandslime3392 Work in pairs. Make sure you have 2 strands coming out of the same space, then you just tie the 2 strands together & using the back end of your crochet hook or a yarn needle, push the tied yarn inside your plushie. It will not show & will be secure. Hope that helps answer your question. Good luck!!
Amazing!
Perfect eye placement
Thanks for this, I will give it a go :) Australia
Woah Australia is so far! 🔥
Tysm!!
Thank you ❤🥰
Does this work the same with thin yarn?
I think it does. I used to sew (actually embroider, I just didn't know what it was back then haha) eyes and other stuff onto fabric plushies and the yarn and thread behaved the same way
@@diediedice thank you!
This was informative! Thank you!
You're so welcome!
Hola, te hablo desde Colombia! Me encanta tu trabajo 😻
omggg hi!
My rabbit passed and you inspired me to make a plushie of her. It's not perfect, but she had one brown eye & one blue eye & none of the safety eyes I see are good enough. This tutorial seems like it'll work great!
I just don't want to kill a child by accident with them choking on the eyes
On accident 😭
