I prefer this to the RE-202, because I use it as a "character" delay alongside other delay pedals, so pedalboard real estate is always important. The twist function is a novelty that grows old pretty quickly, so I just use the tap function and an expression pedal for other parameters manipulation. I think it's best to use it sparingly, and it does sound really good. The extra doo-dads on the 202, like saturation and tape age, I don't really use. So, I think the RE-2 is just about the perfect pedal for those who want the authentic space echo sounds, in a compact pedal. One thing that makes the entire RE-2 and RE-202 line a bit disappointing though, is the fact that you can't pan the tape heads left & right. So, the stereo function is ultimately for the reverb only, which is a plus for the RE-202, which has 5 different reverbs instead of just the spring reverb on the RE-2.
I hope this helps anyone considering buying this pedal.

Yeah thanks was thinking about this one but already have a Lovepedal EPH3 a DD-5 and an Echo Park so might have to resist temptation lol though I like the reverb option but rarely ever use Very cool 😎

yeah well not really, most of those combos 1 & 2 with Reverb, what ever, sounded the Same, ive gotten Better sounds with my a Pitch shifter delay & or
My Canyon Pedals. I Hate when pedals have settings & using a different "Mode" doesn't make much difference in the sound.

I have yet to see someone slow it down and play this pedals adjustments a little better all the way through without spending to much time where it wasnt needed but enough to play to show how it sounds in those different modes enough to know the differences.

remember...he is acting as a salesman here. moreover, an artist should have a vision of the kinds of sounds that they want to be able to work with to create the (emotional and informational) effects they wish to create, and then use their ears to figure out how to make them real.
I use the space echo delay mode on my Boss GT-1000 Core which I assume is the same algorithm. The wow and flutter sound incredible.
it's not the same, Boss specifically said the algorithm for RE-2 and the RE-202 is all new
T J the update to the GT-1000 came after the RE-2 released

You mention at 4:50 about "Turning off the direct sound". The following demo sounds like what I'm after. How do you do that?
Hi, Wyatt. Turning off the direct sound isn't actually demonstrated in the video. That is a feature that would typically be used if you were using this with an amp that had a parallel effects loop. All of the dry signal is removed from the output in that setting.

Short answer is yes. Brian Setzer is well known for his use of the RE-201 for delays that this pedal is based on. There are many examples of settings for Rockabilly on UA-cam and many forums online. As with all things, your results may vary based on personal taste.

How about the inputs A and B does it have stereo? If so how does that even work?
