Thanks for the comparison! I still have my old, trusty RE-20. To get it even less digital sounding and more "dangerous" I can highly recommend following treatment: (With a little warning, too..! 😀) 1.) Put the RE-20 into the "Long Mode": Less pristine highs, doubled delay time. A "hint" of Lofi, if you will... Fire it up holding "Tap" and keep holding it until the motion LED stops flashing and lights up solid. Turn the "Mode Selector" to "2". Release "Tap" and tap it shortly once again. Ready. ( To go back to the regular "Short Mode" again, do the same, but put Mode Selector to "1".) 2.) Refeed the signal: Put the guitar or synth into Input A, as usual. Go from Output A to Input B! Go from Output B into your DAW or next pedal or amp or whatever: Delay signal gets relatively louder, a bit more saturated and flangey, gets sooner into self oscillation. Warning: Putting the now "phased out" sounding reverb too high results in an unpleasant digital feedback mess! So be careful with the reverb setting!! And now even the reverb is only mono... But, that said: All in all, 1.) and 2.) make the RE-20 giving me a tad more convincing tape delay simulation! I sometimes even back of both tone knobs by a good bit: Less highs, less bass = more mids, not in the way. To having the delays cutting through the mix, go "east" with the treble knob instead. Cheers! Have fun!
Output A into input B. I try that with every pedal that allows it that I get. And if you can, do it with several pedals, and set a mono pedal in the line and the last stereo pedal back into the first one.

Ah fellas, thanks so much for the shout out, I can't tell you how much that has made my day. I'm so glad that it was such an interesting question to you - in reality I think for me it was quite selfish, but you guys managed to blow it wide open and make it apply for a learning point for everyone. You may remember recently my acquisition of a Marshall DSL15 - which I am still absolutely loving every single day - however, I feel like I am missing some reverb. But I tried a couple of different things (cranking the reverb to 11 and moving the Slo before the wet/dry split and turning the effect down a lot) and it didn't really inspire me anymore, so I went back and listened to a couple of the delay shows and I felt myself seeing the lines blur between the delays that I was enjoying hearing, and what I would consider to be reverb. I think what I have discovered through this show and the previous shows is in reality what I am missing from the sound of the Marshall is a multi-head delay - whether it be an Echorec replica or a Space Echo reissue etc. It has lead me to some more, personal questions about things I may do with my board - but maybe that's a video for me to make. Great show as always guys and absolutely awesome to see Mick back on the vintage Strat again and to see the Gretsch come back out! Big love to the TPS family and see you guys soon.
Admittedly I haven't watched many TPS videos lately. Life style change, less time to fully commit. But I'm very glad that I got to watch this one. I really appreciate all the work you two do. Thank you for all your hard work!
Very cool episode. I'm loving the care with production details such as lighting and crafty edits. Too easy to let these go unsung. I was very struck by Dan's comment on sentimental attachment to the old girl. I really get that. The happiness from picking up my first electric while wearing a TPS shirt actually makes me play better. Or so it seems. Cheers.
Hey guys! Just a few minutes in and I wanted to say that I love that you don’t do the more ‘typical’ review type thing. There are so many of those, many of them are great and all power to them, but having been a TPS viewer since basically day dot, it’s this kind of difference that has been a big factor in me always coming back ❤️ Kudos to you both hombres! Looking forward to the video!
The saturation knob CAN affect the dry signal if you set it up that way in the extra settings mode, which is one of the strongest selling points for this unit in my opinion.
"a bit of a hard time doing this video". Not everyday you will feel inspired, or maybe some days technical problems that sap all the fun out of it. I think you guys did a great job regardless. Really appreciate the human element you guys bring, and all that is a big part of what makes this channel great.
The multi-head delay episodes are some of the best. Fond memories of the various Echorec appearances, and this was awesome. That 202 sounds very good....
This is the earliest I will ever catch this show (U.S. mountain time zone). It certainly makes getting up at 5am for work (the morning after a gig 😩) loads more enjoyable.
Others might do “technical” demos better than you do but not many provide a better, broader context and “philosophy of use” than you do and that is what differentiates you. So don’t doubt it and keep them coming.
RE-2 vs RE-202 --> the RE-202 also has the new and aged tape mode which the RE-2 does not have. great show as always! BTW, When I'm struck by a slight feeling of depression, I immediately watch one of your shows and I feel almost 100% again - it's that "I feel at home and cosy" vibe you guys send out!!! thanks for that :)
The difference between delay and 'verb was explained to me as being: delay = 'ordered' repeats and 'verb = 'random' repeats. This groks with the multi-head setting and the phasing/modulation artefacts approaching a perceived 'verb effect as aural complexity is compounded. The delay(s), however sped up and stacked up, will only ever approach 'verb because they are still fundamentally ordered repeats even with simulated reflections. Also points to the awesome, algorithmic mentalness of the great digital 'verb units in randomising the maths in a non-machine manner, being able to humanly 'emulate' space to our brains and yet be musically pleasant to the ear...man, there's some clever, clever dudes out there.
Bought an RE-20 literally 2 weeks before the 202 was announced. I don’t regret my decision personally, it was cheaper, is a nicer pedal to navigate, and overall sounds closer to the original 201 in my humble opinion.
I wanted the 20 as well. slowdive,Tame impala used it. but when i saw the 20 new or used it always varied. but to be honest, my Board has 3 big pedal (Plexi drive, walrus warhorn+Ages,Avalanche Run) so the compact RE-2 was probably my best bet. as well as BOSS makes them all so it wasnt like I was looking for one brand and just picked another brand for less money
Yep. In this demo it seemed the “soup” created by the delays in the Re-20 was closer to those in the Re-201. The “fidelity” of all the delays and effects on them with the Re-202 seemed a bit additive and less organic somehow. Great when you’re listening to guitar played in isolation for a demo, but gotta wonder how it would sit in a band mix?
Thank-you Mick & Dan. I learnt so much (again) in the video. As a guitarist born out of lockdown, your content is invaluable on a steep learning curve! 😃
I think that Andy's video for Reverb was interesting. I think it demonstrates the variability in each original RE unit. In general I have only ever preferred the tape units, but I think the 202 brings a lot to the table. Wish it had an analog preamp model in it because I think it misses a lot of the inherent texture that comes from the units having their own preamps - the Catalinbread delays are a great example of why it is great to have. Thanks for another great vid guys
Awesome review and comparison, thank you both ! I've had an RE-202 on pre-order for a while now and can't wait for it to arrive. Usually when I pre-order an item I end up having second thoughts while waiting, but with the RE-202 my anticipation gets stronger each day with no second thoughts at all. Great video guys.
I am absolutely in love with my RE-20. I agree that the fidelity of the 202 is above and beyond, but I can honestly see a place for both, as I'd imagine the 202 could be used as an outboard effect during mixing. Having said all that, I think you guys should look into the T-Rex Replicator D´Luxe Tape Echo. While not entirely comparable, I do think it warrants attention as a device somewhat similar in terms of what it does delay-wise. Thanks for a wonderful episode once again.
I’m still using the Akai Headrush e2! Four heads with adjustable relative levels, spacing, and switch individual heads on/off using jack plugs in the four head outputs.
The combo of full hollow body with Bigsby and a tape echo is unbeatable for moody noodling. The feedback available with low gain barely breaking up guitar signal makes for a highly expressive cyborganic whole (with the player and amp).
@@AnthonyEvans-wl5ts no, I can’t think of any offhand. Jimmy Willsea used to do it with a Strat in Silvertone 40 years ago. My Harmony Rocket got stolen so I can’t do it anymore.
I was taught that the human ear starts to discern a reflected sound as a separate sound as opposed to a tail of the original sound happens at approximately 25ms. So, I always think of reverb as sound reflections that reach the ear in less than 25ms and delay as reflected sounds that reach the ear at greater than 25ms. This is useful when dialing in "fill" speaker delay.
for me personally re-20 is the best delay pedal ever. it's super convenient, reliable and sounds better than any digital delays i've heard. and it self oscillates. rhythmic delays with this pedal are just jam. and i can hear from this comparison that it sits in the mix better and more upfront that the newer version, which is more sofisticated. but is it better in a band situation? i'm not so sure.
Hey guys, been a long time viewer for years. Love your show. Recently lost a good friend, and student of 6 years. He was getting into pedals, so I showed him y’all’s channel, he loved it. Miss my kiddo dearly. But this show brings me great joy, that he’s jamming with all the greats in heaven. He probably has more pedals than Dan. Love you guys. Here’s to Jerod. “Have swang”
Even just having the explanation of the way the tap heads work is great! I had no idea how it works on my DD200, so thanks! Would love to see the DD200 added on next weeks shop when you compare the other delays.
If you select the Tape delay option, you can turn the parameters knob to change the heads. For example if you see just 1, it's just the one head. If you see 2,3 then it's the 2nd and 3rd heads. 123 will be heads 1, 2 and 3. You can also assign the right or left buttons to the warp or twist function for some crazy oscillation effects via the settings(Tap Division and Preset button). Check out the manual, there's a bunch of crazy things the DD-200 can do.
@@GarryHuta thanks Garry! Yeah the DD200 is great, some really cool sounds in there. I don’t think the bride and groom will appreciate the twist function on the next wedding gig I do though 😂
@@jacktaylorguitarist lol! What do you mean?? Who wouldn't like the twist function during the procession?? Try the hold feature with the tera echo setting. My God is it a beautiful pad soundscape. I have mine set to the max delay time with just a little of the feedback and I hold down the right switch when assigned to the Hold feature. That Hold feature is like a sustain pedal for the keyboard. Amazing.
Love the video, and I love all things space echo. Saving up for the echo-fix, because I love that real tape thing. Just wanted to give the bass breaker a big shout out too. Played one many years ago, loved it, and ever since I’ve felt like it was a dream, you hardly ever see them or even any info on them. A lost gem,
@@ThatPedalShow - Mick, have I missed where you’ve recounted the tale of buying it? Or do you plan to? I only remember you giving a quick “yes” in a recent VCQ when asked if you’d purchased it. I’d like to hear the story! :) Oh, and welcome to the Pre-CBS club! ‘64 Esquire for me. So far… So happy for you!
Big boss fan here, had the 202 probably as the first one in Switzerland, and.... Sold it a week later, wasn't that much better than my RE-20, so it had to go.
Surprised to see this episode after you said you had scrapped one during the VCQ. Quick turn around! Bravo. My favorite setting on my Boss DD-200 is the Tape setting. So good. I use the analog setting sometimes but I have a EH Memory Toy and JHS 3 series for true analog.
Thanks so much for the tips in this video! It inspired me to set up my Catalinbread Echorec so that all the heads are on, and what a magnificent sound, I like it better than any verb that I’ve used!
Cheers guys, interesting to hear your take on these. FWIW, I think you made them sound better than I've heard before. I thought the RE-20 stood up pretty well, I'd probably dial the 202 in to sound pretty similar. 201 certainly has the real magic ... until it does a disappearing act, love one in the studio though. Have a nice weekend y'all.
Wow.... I wait every week for your new video... great... too much mo ey for the new boss re202 but I own the re 20 and I am very hsppy with that... really beautiful the Gretsch guitar!!!
Really incredible work as always guys... mesmerizing ambient tones that just cut right through you esp w the hollow body feeding back.. dynamics are unreal
Who needs SpaceX, Blue Origin or Virgin Galactic when we have Dan, Mick and Boss? Out of this world tones in this one, magic! The 202 sounds fabulous, can’t wait for next week’s “rumble in Shwangri-la” heavyweight bout!
Drummer Steve here. I just ordered the RE-2 from Andertons cause they haven't landed in the states yet. I collect amps, have a Moog, 3 guitars, a bass, multiple pedals, etc. The the reason I watch your show and collect gear is how to get studio sounds. Big recording project this year and I need every advantage. Thanks mates!
I love delay and almost always have it on when playing. If just noodling around I've found that setting the delay time to be a factor of my at-rest heartbeat to be very natural and relaxing. The physiological effect of music is part of what attracts me to it but it is also something that can affect my playing (rush, drag, over play, etc...). Tape echo in all its analog glory is hard, if not impossible, to replicate in the non-analog realm. I thought the RE-202 sounded really good. Looking forward to hearing it along side the Volante. Great show Leg Ends. Happy May Day and.....Cheers!
I love you guys , you have the best show on earth when it comes to fender strats amps effects , excellent work , you guys inspire many people to wanna play guitar
A couple of days ago I bought a Nux NDD-7 Tape Echo, which emulates the Roland Space Echo. I don't have a point of comparison, but it has a great feature set (I think most of the Roland), easy to use, small well-made unit, nice UI, mono in, stereo out, 1600ms of delay and even has a 40 second looper that can be used at the same time as the Space Echo. So far I'm really enjoying it, and it was less than half the price of El Capistan here in Tokyo. If you guys get a chance to review it I'd love to hear what you think...
Dan! Saw the Black Crowes a couple of times last summer and Rich Robinson was Teles/Gretsch into a fleet of AC30s with tape echoes and a treble booster. The sound of ages. A man cut from the same cloth as you it would seem! Absolutely mega sound played loud. Now I have to scrounge the funds for a multi-head echo...
The last noodles from Mick - I was surprised at how different (and greater, to my ears), the 201 sounded (through studio headphones and DAC anyway). All great boxes; the 201 smashed it.
Headroom of the 201 and the resulting integrity of the core tone. It’s a bit night and day to my ears. Mick, Dan... recording quality/naturalness has really come up a level. Great job.
Thank you Tony. We’ve been working on it a while, but this is the first episode ever where there is no post EQ or digital plugins of any kind on the guitars. All straight from the mic pres. Not that we ever did much post… but still. Feels like a small win in our progress! Cheers!
Hey All, just one note on the Saturation control on the 202. There is a hidden menu function to have that saturation also applied to your clean signal in addition to the repeats.
I was thinking of getting myself the new RE 202 but after watching this video I'm getting the RE20! Either the RE202 thins out the ORIGINAL guitar sound or the RE20 makes it fuller and beefier? RE20 less gimmicks but a far better sound!
Cheers guys. Excellent video as always. As a Volante owner I’m really looking forward to next weeks video. I love the Volante but can’t stop wondering about the RE-202. The eternal struggle 🤯😂
Dan, you always sound great but you are particularly sublime on this video. Bravo! Mick rocks as always. This is the best RE video I've seen so far. Not a lot of guys can compare to a real 201
congratulations on the strat Mick. Inspired by you guys - I purchased my '61 strat 3 years ago. So glad I did- couldn't afford one now! A fantastic instrument - enjoy.
This has been a good video it’s made me dig out my old boss dd3 and experiment with it , (I never used it because I didn’t get it!) but this has explained how delays work tape or digital. Thanks x 800ms
The irony that for decades people spent lots of time, money and technology to make a pristine copy of a signal and then the last 15 they spend all that to reintroduce digitally the things we tried to eliminate.
I do like the sound of these effects, classic and on so many recordings , but still fresh sounding when played in the right way . I think the new re2o2 sounds the best overall and being digital you don’t have to worry it’s gonna work as much 👍 nice one guys!
I just love Roland/Boss delays. Have an RE-301 Chorus Echo, Echo Fix EF-X2, Boss DD-500, and Boss RV-500. Really thinking about picking up an RE-202. Could be my main delay for the foreseeable future…
Both Boss with the RE-20, Re-2 and RE-202, and Dunlop/MXR with the Echoplex Delay and Preamp (designed/engineered with Jeorge Tripps) took a comparative/composite approach to the creation of their respective emulations. This process, IMO, achieves a better result then being "stuck" with the limits (charming and inspiring as they may be) of the original mechanical device.
This probably does 90% of what you'd look for with the sounds but to me, they all miss the unique characteristics of deterioration and random artifacts and peculiar 'misfirings' that a true tape delay has that makes it, well, unpredictable, but also desirable. The one thing that you can say is the upgrade and big check mark is the reliability and functionality that will probably stay solid for many years to come. I baby my RE-201 and hold my breath every time I turn it on.
Thinking more on this episode, and the importance of critical listening I had an idea this morning. It took me many years of playing with professional musicians to realize the importance of having a good set of nearfield monitors, or headphones. Possibly even more important is the important familiarity with a set of speakers, or those headphones and their coloration to the sound they project. So here's the idea I had for you all: Do a brief standalone show just talking on the matter to stress to musicians the details of listening. I know you encourage headphones, but I cringe at the thought most people are just popping in those damn airpods, calling it a day. Maybe some people will take the idea serious enough to revisit old episodes for a new listen. Love the show. I think you all make us better.
The newer ones sound great. I'm pretty wedded to my Keeley Echoes (not the "Eccoes") for multi-head type tones, but the RE-2 would look tasty next to my Boss delays. The Keeley is a Binson-style unit. You can never have too many delays :) At times, the RE-202's repeats seemed a little bit "separate" from the dry signal, if that makes sense. The RE-20 was kinda organic. It's darker, no doubt. Suited to brighter amps & pickups, agree with Mick on this. I do appreciate the fidelity of the newer pedals. Bassbreaker sounding good here, goes great with the Vox. 34:54 El Medio Stomp yeah! Love it.
It's so difficult when a range of products come out and the one that has more is better because it has more. The one that has less is cheaper, because it has less, but less good, because it has less. So, there's no argument that would make me go for the RE-2 over the RE-202, except that if I wanted the RE-202 and couldn't have it, I'd have to have the RE-2. This is exactly why I have the Carbon Copy Deluxe and not the Carbon Copy. That said, the RE-20 has a smiley face. :)
Another great video! I'd be interested to see how close you can get with the dd-200 tape setting. Obvs you don't have the extra controls, but you would expect it to be able to get somewhere in the same vein
The fidelity alone on the 202… not to mention the features!! Great explanation on what space/tape echo is and why it’s the best delay type. I’d love to see y’all compare the El Capistan in the next video! I know the volante has much more features but I adore my El Cap and I’d love to see how it holds up to other digital tape echo pedals. Maybe the timeline too. Cheers thanks for the amazing content. There’s something so sweet about that 201.. if only it were gig practical.
Where these digital emulators fall of is in the repeat trails. The mechanical delay units create a very different swell of the repeats. This is what sold me on getting the real deal. I have tape delays and Binson Echorec units.
Another great vid, gents! I am headed across the pond tomorrow to spend a week recording at Abbey Road. I will be asking the engineers to comment on your mic techniques. 😛(of course it always sounds phenomenal).
Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed the demo and I love where you chose to go in this one! ✌️❤️
Andyyy
Thanks for the comparison! I still have my old, trusty RE-20.
To get it even less digital sounding and more "dangerous" I can highly recommend following treatment:
(With a little warning, too..! 😀)
1.)
Put the RE-20 into the "Long Mode": Less pristine highs, doubled delay time. A "hint" of Lofi, if you will...
Fire it up holding "Tap" and keep holding it until the motion LED stops flashing and lights up solid.
Turn the "Mode Selector" to "2". Release "Tap" and tap it shortly once again. Ready.
( To go back to the regular "Short Mode" again, do the same, but put Mode Selector to "1".)
2.)
Refeed the signal:
Put the guitar or synth into Input A, as usual. Go from Output A to Input B!
Go from Output B into your DAW or next pedal or amp or whatever:
Delay signal gets relatively louder, a bit more saturated and flangey, gets sooner into self oscillation.
Warning: Putting the now "phased out" sounding reverb too high results in an unpleasant digital feedback mess!
So be careful with the reverb setting!! And now even the reverb is only mono...
But, that said:
All in all, 1.) and 2.) make the RE-20 giving me a tad more convincing tape delay simulation!
Vintage guitars and loud tube amps are why I watch, and will remain watching. Is to me the only way to go, and I appreciate your doing it this way.
Thank you kindly!
Finally! Somebody addressing the RE-20 in the mix

Lately I'm thinking, you know what, f the boutique market. The oul boss stuff stands up against them all
Shhh 🤫
They are the Grand Masters after all lad!
That makes total sense. Why pay three times as much for a pedal that is not even twice as good.
Aside from wahs/Whammy, and a few PSK Boss clones, all of my pedals are Boss, they sound great, look great, and are built tough.
And Ibanez.
For me I would say that delay becomes reverb once you can no longer hear a defined repeat of the original sound source. That’s the best way I can describe it.

I love the sound that you guys dialed in for this episode. Very nice.
Yet another great exposition. Somewhat of an institution this Pedal Show!
They have featured it a few times over the years
I’m still using the Akai Headrush e2!
Do you have an example video of these combination by someone?
@@AnthonyEvans-wl5ts no, I can’t think of any offhand. Jimmy Willsea used to do it with a Strat in Silvertone 40 years ago. My Harmony Rocket got stolen so I can’t do it anymore.
Thank you for the information about the extra steps it takes to change between the reverbs on the 202. Great video, can't wait for the Volante video!
How annoying, geez!! 🤦🏻♂️
That might explain why a "doubling" effect using delay occurs at around 30ms
for me personally re-20 is the best delay pedal ever. it's super convenient, reliable and sounds better than any digital delays i've heard. and it self oscillates. rhythmic delays with this pedal are just jam. and i can hear from this comparison that it sits in the mix better and more upfront that the newer version, which is more sofisticated. but is it better in a band situation? i'm not so sure.
I tried out the RE-202 recently. It's so awesome! Definitely overwhelming with all those controls, so I want to try it again.
Sorry for your loss Anthony, and of course to Jerod’s family. May he rest in peace.
What a perfect intro to get spaced to, should one be into that kind of thing. Such lovely sounds from that Gretsch
Finally got to watch….thanks so much! Such an epic, thoughtful, and inspiring EP. Thanks so much!
Cheers Justin, great to hear from you man!
A lost gem,
We were lucky to find the BB for sure. It’s a really nice amp. Thought I would not like the Vintage 30s, but they work great!
Congrats on the Strat, Mick! Such a beautiful guitar! I hope you'll have a great time with it, after searching for so long for a vintage Strat. :)
Thank you kindly! I am enjoying it greatly!
@@ThatPedalShow - Mick, have I missed where you’ve recounted the tale of buying it? Or do you plan to? I only remember you giving a quick “yes” in a recent VCQ when asked if you’d purchased it. I’d like to hear the story! :)
Oh, and welcome to the Pre-CBS club! ‘64 Esquire for me. So far… So happy for you!
Big boss fan here, had the 202 probably as the first one in Switzerland, and.... Sold it a week later, wasn't that much better than my RE-20, so it had to go.
The 202 sounds so damn bright and digital. 😕
Dan’s got the Gretsch out. Lovely.
Great intro Dan, perfect way to get hyped for an exploration with the Space Echo!
Leon Todd, has made great demos too. As well as Pete as you said.
Who needs SpaceX, Blue Origin or Virgin Galactic when we have Dan, Mick and Boss?
Out of this world tones in this one, magic!
The 202 sounds fabulous, can’t wait for next week’s “rumble in Shwangri-la” heavyweight bout!
Thanks for playing the gretsch, there's something about a nice delay through filtertrons that's just magic.
There absolutely is *some* magic that happens there. I think the RE's just love a toppy Gretsch
Great intro playing Dan!
The only thing missing on the new 202:
The small cool needle indicator from the original!
Why didn’t Boss put it there?!
because they will do another version with it 😂
I love delay and almost always have it on when playing.
Clever
I love you guys , you have the best show on earth when it comes to fender strats amps effects , excellent work , you guys inspire many people to wanna play guitar
Thank you Gary!
Boss is really stepping up their game. I got a GX 100 on the way.
The last noodles from Mick - I was surprised at how different (and greater, to my ears), the 201 sounded (through studio headphones and DAC anyway). All great boxes; the 201 smashed it.
Yep. It’s a very different thing for sure! Cheers!
I love the way a Gretsch goes into feedback with a little push on the bar!
Excellent demo vid excellent sound and advice
Agreed. The 202 (and 2, presumably?) sounds like an overly-bright mess, a lot of the time … 😕
Cheers guys. Excellent video as always. As a Volante owner I’m really looking forward to next weeks video. I love the Volante but can’t stop wondering about the RE-202. The eternal struggle 🤯😂
If you're doing the DL-4 and Volante - PLEASE compare their "Echorec" modes :-)
Dan, you always sound great but you are particularly sublime on this video. Bravo! Mick rocks as always. This is the best RE video I've seen so far. Not a lot of guys can compare to a real 201
congratulations on the strat Mick. Inspired by you guys - I purchased my '61 strat 3 years ago. So glad I did- couldn't afford one now! A fantastic instrument - enjoy.
Amazeballs! I texted Thomas Blug last night as, bizarrely, I was at a party with Andreas Kloppmann. Anyway, we are now all brothers in 61! Nice one!
This has been a good video it’s made me dig out my old boss dd3 and experiment with it , (I never used it because I didn’t get it!) but this has explained how delays work tape or digital. Thanks x 800ms
Just saw the intro, and I know it will be a great episode!!!
What a sick play by Dan!!! I love it!
Breaking out the proper in-ear monitors for this one so I can get the best the tube has to offer! Excited for this one :)
The irony that for decades people spent lots of time, money and technology to make a pristine copy of a signal and then the last 15 they spend all that to reintroduce digitally the things we tried to eliminate.
TPS filming an episode without saying "Indeed" : challenge impossible
That was a cool intro!
202 looks/sounds like a nice bit of kit. Still can't break the desire for a proper vintage Echorec though.
Got one on backorder can’t wait to get it
Can not wait for next weeks delayoff!
The newer ones sound great. I'm pretty wedded to my Keeley Echoes (not the "Eccoes") for multi-head type tones, but the RE-2 would look tasty next to my Boss delays. The Keeley is a Binson-style unit.
You can never have too many delays :)
At times, the RE-202's repeats seemed a little bit "separate" from the dry signal, if that makes sense.
Love it.
Bull's Eye...I was anxious to see again your Roland Space Echo...By the way, The RE-201 is unbeatable...
I was just thinking about the dd20 and the tape algorithm!
Close enough
Your demo is amazing!!
Thanks!
Incredible playing Dan 🤘
Thanks Mateo, you’re too kind 🙏
Already bought looking forward to the ideas !
yeah man, here's to classic guitars and amps - rock on
