- Rob takes us to Home/First Street Complex in Manchester to discuss the IWC Ingenieur, his year long obssession. He discusses the history of IWC Shaffhausen, Gerald Genta, and that unique aqua-coloured dial. It's a WOW.

Love the green dial, your enthusiasm is infectious 😊
Thanks! You're very kind.
Good looking watch. I am enjoying your videos. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the kind words!
Love the look of this.
Keep up the work, the videos are great and casual, love it!
Great point of view about how you feel about the Engenieur, I was torn between the Aqua and the Ti version, end up getting the Ti because thats a color i was missing from my collection. Theres a lot of people that just missing out just by doing what others say, buy what you like and enjoy it! Congratulation its a wonderful watch it always start a conversation every time i wear it.
Very nice watch. Congratulations !
Looks great on your wrist thanks for sharing
Thanks for the kind words!
Hey Rob, turns out Genta did one for Credor too! Love the watch.
Didn't know that. Thanks for sharing!
And the Cartier Pasha,too!
GP Laureato, Piaget Polo, Chopard Alpine eagle are about 4k more. I saw the ingeniur in person, I looked at it and the mark 20 with a jewelers loop, ingeniur finishing is done at a holy trinity level, truly beautiful piece. Hand painted dial, hand finished bracelet
Great to know. Thanks for sharing! The Ingenieur is definitely a WOW,
You'll get the Alpine Eagle for the same price just now if you go into most boutiques. Having tried one on recently, I have to say that it outshines the others, in my opinion. It looks incredible on the wrist and in the light of day. Incredible finishing too. I think it's a hard choice between the IWC and the Chopard. I'm going for the AE as my next purchase, though.
Also a good choice!
Great choice,mate.
Guess, you'll enjoy it for several years to come.
Thanks!
At that price, I don't think your minor gripes are minor at all. A $12,000 watch should not feel as you described. I enjoyed you video y'all.
I agree with the rough edges but it is greatly improved after installing the new buckle with micro adjustments
I asked iwc concierge, and they didnt have any update regarding micro adjustment buckle, have they released it officially now, in the boutiques itself?
@@enth1980 yes, I got mine installed 2 weeks ago
Hi
You mentioned that in review, I was referring to the dial size
Sorry that information I don't know and I don't have any way to measure that.
I'm probably going to get the CW twelve in bright blue for like, 1/12th the price
That's a good watch, too!
Great watch. Can confirm.
One of my favs.
Please do, and tell us if it evokes the same emotion as the IWC, at 1/12th the price.
The Ingenieur has been an obsession of mine also since I got heavily into watches in 2010. I've had 3 or 4 by now, I lost count. Oddly enough, it was the Genta design versions that got me into them, but the one I ended up with is the odd one out, the more round case version based on the original Ingenieur (357002). Still has undeniable Ingenieur DNA in it design/looks, and it wears like a dream.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
I really have to see one of these in person it looks amazing? The price is still my biggest issue, if it was 7-8k I'd probably buy one.
I agree 100% with you about the price issue however, once you see it and try it on, the price gets a bit easier to justify.
Nice watch but.
Baume and mercier use the same movement and a similar case for less than half the cost.
Not for me.
Love the style as always rob.
BM does not use the same movement, that's internet misinformation that people keep spreading. Comparing BM to Iwc is like comparing Toyota to mercedes
Then get the B&M, then tell us if it evokes the same emotion.
Imo this is one of the best looking watches you can buy today
I agree!
If it feels a bit heavy, it’s because it has a soft iron inner case inside of the main case of the watch (to protect the movement from magnetic fields).
Thanks for the head's up!
What is the dial/face size on that?
It's a 40mm case and 10.7mm height
For that money I would got a Chopard Alpine Eagle, much better movement.
Also a great choice!
but worse design
you’re literally my comfort person i love you #mamacoo !
