Tom Brady, the greatest American soccer player who ever lived. Funny on so many levels.
That one made me rewind twice 😂
Tom who??? 🤷🏻
I thought this Tom guy won "7 american premier league championship"
I don't know who Tom Brady is and I always thought that 'Superbowl' was baseball! 😂
This Brady person keeps getting equated with a barnyard animal, according to American sports media for some reason.
Jacob and Co should make a watch where the Bon Jovi watch is fighting the Tom Brady watch
If Jacob redid that seven Friday it would possibly be the ugliest watch ever.
This comment is fantastic. 😂
Best comment EVER
Please run for office. You have my vote.
😂
“A Bugs Life” and “Ants”…
Not everyone got that, but those of us who do appreciate it
I love how such stinging burns are delivered with almost casual disdain. The wit on display is worth the sub all by itself. The content is just gravy.
Absolutely!
I come for the watch reviews, I stay for the comedy show
You only got half way there with the Bon Jovi puns.
He’ll make it, I swear.
I dunno, he was kind of living on a prayer with that one.
Lay your hands on me.
The Bon Jovi watch gives timekeeping a bad name. I wouldn’t want it, dead or alive.
Glad he did not Runaway with the Bon Jovi puns.
Mike Tyson reference followed by a “Kith on the cheek”😂. I’m dying😂😂😂
😅
lolololol I almost choked on my morning coffee. As a freshly minted 40 year old my search history is rife with recent motorcycle searches.
I was not expecting to get burned so early in the morning.
I’m also 40, and was just on cycletrader a few minutes ago….
Me too! I bought 1 too! 😂
"...all the style and elegance of a leftover pizza..." You did it again Andrew! Thanks for the information and a few true laugh out louds!
"Now being assimilated by the Borg has a handling fee..." as a Trekkie, that actually gave me a spit-take while sipping my morning coffee!
Swatch: Cheap homage to an expensive holy grail:
Kith Heuer: Expensive homage to a cheap cup
Sales of Swatch sustained the big brands.
Swatch is Omega's daddy. That is their house.
What the F is Kith?
@@mmaclemon3179some brand that have higher chance for having production factory in China…. designed elsewhere….
Those 'Formula 1' watches just totally destroyed the TAG/Heuer brand for me !
Unlike the blogs of so many so-called 'experts' on UA-cam, everything you stated is spot on Andrew, well done!
I quite liked that U-Boat watch actually. I liked the patina, it made it look like it'd emerged from the Bermuda Triangle after disappearing 80 years ago.
Me too! It's a bit steampunk
Me three, looks super cool!
Bon Jovi Watch : You give time a bad name. 🎼 🎵 🎶
I just love watches as a little boy looking in a jewellers window and as an old man looking in a jewellers window its just magic
My personal favorite, “piece de regurgitation.” 🤣 That’s an original. Luv you Watch Hands
Mike Tyson's favorite Street wear brand...😂😂😂
Ugh that Tom Brady watch tells me all i need to know about WHO Tom Brady is. That's awful.
I don’t get the hate for the digital PRX. A stainless steel body, sapphire crystal digital watch? Not many options for one of those.
I have one and I love it
@FadeRunner13 same. It might not be the most beautiful watch ever made, but it's solid, well finished, reliable, sapphire crystal, eta movement, definitely not a terrible watch
I really don't get it either. People who say it's just an overpriced Casio really don't get it. The main appeal of the PRX as a whole is the excelent case finishing and bracelet for the price, and in here you're getting that quality for the lowest MSRP value possible. And complaining that the screen looks small in the case is forced as hell
That last one really hurt. Now they need to do a colab with No Fear to go back to their gigachad status.
The Tissot 1893 is undoubtedly the worst of the bunch for me. It’s as if your grandfather started to wear lycra shorts and couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about. Where each one of his balls is East and West of the Meridian line.
“The great watches and wonders in the sky” 😆
I wonder if, "The great Basal World in the sky." wouldn't be funnier.
I know it's wrong, and I'm deeply ashamed to admit it, but I find the Tissot PRX digital oddly appealing. Does this get me banned from the channel?
yes! haha, what ever tickles your pickle
Whoever designed that Tom Brady watch must surely be secretly working for Patek or Vacheron
I've recently discovered that I prefer having a watch that displays the date. So it's the Aqua Terra for me.
whenever I need cheering up I just google Jacob & Co watches and laugh
If I were to go to a watch convention, I'd buy that Tissot and wear it just to wind up the watch snobs
I dont mind it actually. I remember when digital watches came out, they were quite cool.
I think digital watches are cool. Casio in particular. But... that tissot is just ugly in my opinion.
@@mk84142
All subjective. I think Casio are horrible tat
Likewise. Watching the fragrant experts vomit their guts out at the mere sight of it would be worth the cost of entry
The PRX digital is the only PRX that I like. I grew up in the 60's/70's. There were plenty of early digitals using the same format.
The presumed demographic excited about the Bon Jovi luxury watch fascinates me
Blacks?
@@JamesSmith-qs4hx😅
“Has all the style and elegance of left over pizza“ 😂
NGL, I don't hate that PRX. I don't want one, but I don't hate it.
It's easily the best of the worst (i.e. this list). If Tissot put a high-accuracy movement as a feature, maybe I'd even buy one.
That Bon Jovi watch gives a love over watch a bad name, still I prefer love over gold
This comment shows you are in dire straits.
👍
Absolutely brilliant! Well done, Andrew!
That Jacob & Co 🤣🤣🤣
..it's as if the combined taste of all Premier League footballers was fused into one object.
Seriously, who (1) is rich enough (2) loves Bon Jovi enough, and (3) hates watches / themselves enough, to spend a quarter of a million quid on that?
Interesting side note. Frank Reynolds tried to buy not only Bon Jovi's football team but also was the inspiration for this watch. Common knowledge
From It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia?
I can tell you I was NOT expecting a Crash Landing on You reference drop 😂
K drama travels far
You should get that '86 plastic Tag Heuer for birth year watch😂
Gerald Charles just makes hideous watches. Sorry to say.
I think its classy, the Bon Jovi watch is hideous
I actually like the way that Gerald Charles looks… but the price is awful.
With a face for radio and funny to boot, I am really enjoying your videos Andrew!
The ability to show me things I don't need, but want (or not, in this case) and make me crack up multiple times over breakfast... Andrew, you have the best watch channel there is!
Outstanding writing and delivery Andrew! 👌
I respectfully disagree with the inclusion on the list of the prx digital.
You can dislike it, obviously, but it is basically a reissue and fusion of 2 '70ies classics by Tissot...I can understand why some people is going to buy it.
Yeah, it's fine. It's nowhere near that bad. The watch UA-cam crew have a bee in their bonnet about it, but who cares.
Content creation at its absolute best. Thank you, Andrew, for the best 20 minutes of this week.
Excellent, as always 👌
That U-Boat and the Gerald Charles are alright methinks (although not the price of the Gerald, mind you).
hi Andrew, love the video! Do you know the brand D1 Milano? of yes what is your opinion on their stainless steel models?
On the Tom Brady AP...
If they put the open heat at the top, and had the Tom VII Brady at the bottom, at least the VII would have been at the right place
...seven come eleven, baby needs a new pair of shoes!
I think Tom Brady might be a gipsy
Another cracking video Andrew. I agree with most of your choices with one slight exception. The Tissot PRX Digital. Why you may ask, it looks odd with a rectangular display shoved into a round sports/dress watch and in that respect for someone who missed the 70's you would be correct, actually you would arguably be correct anyway. Well, there is a handy (no pun intended as it's a digital display) to this watch. For fans of racing it's actually really good, with the stopwatch you can record multiple consecutive lap times without the need for two stopwatches (one is stopped after a lap when another starts so you can record the time), you can also record the delta times between the whole field of competitors. So in a nutshell it probably should be consigned to the annuls of mistaken wristwatches bin but it's actually a very useful tool that may look odd. I also think it looks better in the smaller size as the display looks bigger. A dress watch no, but as a sports watch for racing that's another story.
Hahah your writing/monologue is so fire!!

Excellent, entertaining post!
Oh man... You don't mess with Bon Jovi. You're gonna go doooowwwn in a blaaaze of gloooory!
Can't deny that Gerald Charles is an absolutely stunning piece.
Yeah, it may be overpriced etc., but it looked pretty good to me.
The PRX digital is one of the coolest watches in recent years. It's nice to see a Swiss brand bragging about a new digital and even naming the module in the marketing. The 4012 Calibre is worth mentioning. It is simply sublime and suited to the PRX's 70s vibe. Digital is coming back, as is quartz, as shown by the quartz Patek.
Bring it on! We've had too many years now of horology aficionados obcessing over mechanical watches. Lets now enjoy a second wave of quality quartz and digitals.
Admittedly, I'm a mechanical movement preferer. My current project is cramming a Miyota 9015 automatic into a Casio Duro/Marlin, replacing the quartz 2115 Miyota. The 2115 is a good, all metal movement -- but that one hertz, quartz tick just isn't for me. That aside, I agree with you. Bring on the new, digital watches! And some LED's to go with the LCD's. Also, there's no reason we need to settle a single color backlight. RGB illumination would be a fun and easy to implement option. Additionally, the negative space around the display would be a great place for some panels for solar charging. A fun, grab and go watch. The cheapest of Casios already have a perpetual calendar, but would multiband 6 enable automatic daylight savings to standard time in addition to auto time setting? Yes, G-Shock's currently do a lot of the above, but the recent Casiotron anniversary watch and the PRX digital showed there's a good amount ofI interest in dressier, all metal alternatives. Here's hoping.
@@wargamingrefugee9065 sounds like a cool project.
I cannot make this Patek mechanical... But the true happy ending of Crash Landing On You does happen after the credits roll. The perfect couple got married in real life because of the show ;)
I actually had the 35mm PRX. The size of the screen was way more appropriate and on par with Casio digital sizes. It was a great watch too. Moved on from it, but was pretty good quality and I enjoyed it.
You forgot T W Steel. I'm looking at it now in the bottom drawer next to yellowing receipts from 2004. The Collossus of Rhodes would find it too big.
I am cracking up, watching this.
Well done, Andrew.
I'm glad to have found you, the last watch show is lacking greatly with you gone
Andrew's monologs are the epitome of what I call art. So well researched it's like a hard crossword puzzle when you don't get one phrase and have to look it up and get a little dopamine hit from the newfound knowledge.
AvE here on UA-cam does the same kinda thing albeit, from a much more dirty set of fingernails.
Honest question, is there a term for this kind of scripting so I can find more of it easily?
Thanks for the video
Thought you were gonna say the tag was a collaboration with Mike Tyson's favourite band...
Andrew didn’t just spit fire. He woke up and chose violence and brought a flamethrower!
Let's not disrespect the Hell's Angels, and my leftover pizza looks wonderful.
You englishmen has the best humor, ever!! - i already watched two of your watch "documentarys" but waited to comment until now, you have a very fun and entertaining way of presenting the videos! - ben a watchfan since i was a kid, now 66, have a few watches but nothing special, maybe the old Facit i have the most "rare" - i will subscribe, and keep watching when i have the opportunity! - all the best! Levi in Sweden
First time watching your channel. I really like your dry humor that made me laugh. Just Subscribed.
The most important AMERICAN soccer player. Given the impact that american soccer has on the rest of the world, that translates into: globally almost unknown and unimportant.
Ill tell you one im not avoiding is my new Grand Seiko SGBA083....thabks Andrew for all the wonderful videos and teaching me so much!!
The quick cut edit at 20:23. 😂. Lethal. This video is just so snarky good. A guilty pleasure of the best kind.
Great video Andrew. Maybe a suggestion for your patreon followers would be recent watches that are great deals but also hold their intrinsic value. Cheers!
I'm not sure why, but i feel sad for the PRX digital. It doesn't seem as offensive as it sound, honestly. Round cased rectangle dialed digital watches existed in the golden age by Casio and Timex, to mention two, and since the analog PRX are more or less from that time, a digital version is theoretically an unique exercise on "what would have been". It also had an unique potential to be a premium vintage-styled digital watch that Casio is yet to offer (the limited edition Casiotron reissue is more expensive, if i'm not mistaken).
My bet is that it was too outlandish for the mechanical enthusiasts pleased with the PRX and too unheard-of for Casio fans (the majority of digital owners), specially because it's not actually a reissue.
How did they manage to make that BonJovi watch look like cheap cast pewter ?
Reminds me of things I had pinned to my schoolbag in the 90s...
Tough day to be a Bon Jovi fan. He couldn't have worked out something nice with Seiko?
I LOVE patinated bronze. So your photos of the UBOAT made me excited in a way no quartz watch has before
Get a Hamilton Khaki Bronze. Patinate it by wearing it. Save a shedload of money. It's got a mechanical movement too.
...and it's a solid bronze case, unlike that PVD coated horror, so it won't wear through to the base metal
My guilty pleasure watch is a restored 1972 windup, yellow Snoopy serving a tennis ball. It was my first watch on my 5th birthday.
I'm not doing well here, I have recently got the Tag Heuer F1 with a yellow plastic bezel (not the Kith, the original, I had one as a Teen and I couldn't resist) and that Tissot PRX Digital (I kind of like them). LOL
Take a bow Andrew !! Many stories about a lot of great watches by others have not been half as interesting or full of humor !!
Very good again with extra points this time for multiple Captain Pugwash references. Additive Manufacture is different to Rapid Prototyping though and the plastic carbuncle of a watch could have been so much better because of that.
Just out of curiosity, why is the Tissot PRX digital so disliked? I think if this was a Seiko it would be a different story.
Excellent speaker!
Lol “guilty pleasure watch” should definitely catch up in this space 😂mine is MoonSwatch 🤷♂️
Outside of the US most people only know Tom Brady because of his famous ex-wife.
Bravo, Sir!! 😂 Seriously hilarious barbs.... "It used to be getting assimilated by the Borg was free." Among many others! 😂
I loved this one! Great choice of ridiculous watches and great writing! Thanks
Andrew - You are absolutely and hilariously BRILLIANT!!!
The script in this one made me laugh out loud several times. Don’t change 😅
That crash landing on you reference caught me off guard 😂
I watch other watch UA-camrs but you definitely are the best of the best
Couldn't agree more about that digital PRX.
Unpopular opinion, but I actually like the PRX digital
Love this video
Damn, I wanted to buy Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5269R, but I watched your video, you're right, I'll stay with my Casio Duro :)
True story........ interesting phrase...... sounds like something a ridiculously handsome man would say.
Yep, 10 horrors there Andrew! As usual, very well presented with humour to do the timepieces the deserved justice. I can't pick a favourite! 🤣
Holy cow, an ad every 5mins
""Soccer Player"😂😂😂........I see what you did there. Never miss an opportunity to put the boot in......Good lad Andrew 👍💯
I love luxury quartz. I have a Seiko Astron and a quartz Aqua Terra. I am searching for an old gold quartz MDM Hublot. Luxury Quartz rocks.
14:52 😂😂😂 British humour at it's best. 19:20 now I know which watch Usyk wore on the after match interview. I couldn't recognize it.
Gerard Charles is amazing on design but not at that price ...
That AP is terrible, I'm now selling my fake Royal Oak, it was £85 and I feel like I've been conned.
But I think you're wrong about the quartz GMT Patek...it's ok.
If you'd care someone called you out on a fake, whether it is or not, then you need to ask yourself why you care.
If you're not enough without it, you'll never be enough with it.
