Showing my husband that I honored, respected and loved him (he know that without a doubt) gave me comfort, I did not have to think "if only he knew how much I loved him, respected him," when he passed away, do not wait till it's too late, I am honoring my husband now by passing this important information on. Your a good woman and he no doubt knew this in you and how you felt.
Without respect love cannot sustain and grow and I pity the youth that are being taught that it is empowered womanhood to disrespect men and themselves and it will lead so many to misery.

I take issue with the 5 love languages book. People had no issue in the beginning of the relationship bc they were just happy to be together. “Love languages change based upon what individuals are delinquent at the time of assessing their language. It makes the goalposts endlessly move based on what someone “needs” (wants) at the time. Instead of getting mad at someone for not doing what you want them to do, be the driver in your own life. For men we need to become the most respectable as we can be. For women you need to become as lovable as you can be. Both need to hit the gym, lost fat, gain muscle and stop eating garbage. When we each become what the other desires, love languages won’t matter (because they don’t)

This was a great video. Another suggestion I would make along with the lines of physical affection, is to avoid the “frump” syndrome which is basically after women get in a serious relationship, married, or even have kids. They tend to become frumpy so like they don’t comb or brush their hair, stay in their pjs all day, don’t wear anything cute to bed, and gain weight. Like I think we have all heard and read but men are visual people, and how you present yourself to your man is a reflection of that. Just another tip :)

It's not mutally exclusive. If she's not attracted to me im completely turned off and ill be gone before she can blink. If she doesn't respect me, that's the same thing as love. Now if you're talking love as in sex, sex is necessary obviously because why would a guy date you if he isnt getting any? But with that said sex does comfortably take a back seat if other needs are met. If other needs like valuing him arent met then thats when sex becomes the forfront because it's like "youre not giving me what I want emotionally" so Imma get what I can from you physically and dip.

She is correct. I knew that respect was the most important thing that I wanted from my wife even before I read the literature saying that it was a man's number one need. Also, yes, physical touch is my primary love language. Sex is an important part of it, but it is much more than just that. Quality time was my close second love language. I lost my wife to cancer, but her primary love language was acts of service.

You want respect, but offer none, and you will probably never learn because what all feminists lack is accountability. I was thinking about this recently and it seems to me that what has happened is that, as men, we're brought up to be tough and are slowly starved of physical affection as we get older because only the weak need affection. The only time it's acceptable for us to have physical affection is when it is a part of sex. Then we don't know there is a difference between the two. Then we get ourselves in all sorts of trouble with promiscuity and infidelity because we don't know how to read our needs. For example, I know if I'm craving chocolate milk, I'm thirsty and I just need to chug some water and the craving will go away.

The 3 points you make: spot on.
Just one thing: men who have their stuff together don't "desperately need" anything. If we did, MGTOW would not be a thing. These are things a quality woman must provide if she wants to get and keep a quality man. If she doesn't, he eventually "gets" that she doesn't really want him (as her lack of actions in these areas communicate this), so he packs up and moves on.
Ladies, don't ask where have all the good men gone if you refuse to do any of these things for any man.
I don't stay where I'm not wanted. Neither do most other men in my experience, quality or otherwise. The few that are weak and clingy, no one wants.
29 years together, 23 married, wife and I still very much into each other. Yes I get these from her even now.

Men needing physical affection as their love language is so true. I only realised just how badly I needed it when my now ex girlfriend stopped all forms of physical affection and touch with me. It literally broke me and shattered my exsistance. I think a lot of women and society think men generally don't need this sort of thing or are not bothered about it but that is completely false.

Yep, going through a divorce after 22 years. She changed, went hard left on me. Had to have everything her way and could care less what it cost me physically, emotionally, financially. When I finally pushed back and asked where we could compromise, she got a divorce attorney. Fortunately I guessed she would do that and already had one. I could have had full custody of my 7 kids, I had enough dirt on her that it was a possibility. I settled for joint custody which is a win for men in this world.
Now I'm rekindling the friendships with my guy friends that died during my "marriage". Would I like a woman in my life? Sure, but it's not worth the hassle right now. Working on myself to become who I always wanted to be first. Then we'll see about relationships when I no longer "need" someone.

Yes. By all means, let's keep repressing the conversation in public. Let's keep the 1950s in full swing. Let's perpetuate puritan stigmas.
Healthy relationships require open communication - not only between partners, but between humans as well. Rather than continuing to leave "the norm" up to the imagination, it's *far* better to put it out into the open so "the norm" is understood. That doesn't mean "the norm" must be obliged by everyone - what works for one person may or won't work for another. What it *does* do is removes societal shame based on incorrect assumptions from a person's imagination.
If you think that's "too much information", you and reality are going to butt heads - often.

Submission is not the same as subservience. Submission is given willingly out of love or at least respect. Subservience is given out of fear or danger. A lot of women mix these 2 words up. Men submit to their women and women submit to their men. Women submit a lot of their autonomy to his leadership outside of the home, and men submit a lot of their autonomy inside the home. Both sides need to be honored because both are equally important if they're doing their job correctly.

You're not the only one, sir. I married an incredibly beautiful woman I met at Church - I often refer to her as an Asian version of Jessica Rabbit. She was sweet.
She was submissive. She was supportive. She liked classic rock AND the three stooges (she was 11 years my junior)! She was a lot of fun.
      And then she got pregnant.
And she became someone I didn't know. I gave her grace while she was pregnant. While she was nursing. While she was starting her business. While we moved. While we bought and moved into a house. Then one day as we were preparing to move out of the house (we lost) she was going on one of her rampages and it occurred to me: "OMG, this is who she really is! She's never going to be that person I met, fell in love with and made a child with"! She had pulled a total 180 on me! All the while I was working a full AND part time job to try and keep us afloat financially. I also did most of the cooking, cleaning, shopping, household budgeting, driving and when she wanted a dog we got one and I had to take care of her too ( that dog's sleeping at my feet right now - lol!). Marriage counseling - I did it. Church attendence, Bible study groups? "Praise the Lord!" I'm in! I Gave her validation constantly (which, watching these pro-man UA-cam channels they tell me is the worst thing in the world you can do for a woman!). Finally, when our Son went off to college, she went with him to keep an eye on him. While we were in the process of figuring out how we would move forward in the relationship she came down with a really bad case of CoVid and passed away two weeks later (January 2021). My whole life for 20 years was centered around trying to make her happy, so now I have this big hole in me. I miss her greatly, but honestly my life is so much simpler and easier now. Working on fixing me. I put on 140lbs during the 22 year marriage, during the last three months I've lost 40lbs of it! It's an exciting journey of recovery - and the dog she made us get keeps me feeling needed, respected and loved!
Still a lot to work through, though. Best of luck to both of us. Thanks for listening.

Around 2014 there was a straw that broke my meek and humble nature and I threatened to walk. After that she calmed down and dialed back the rampages from a level 10 to a 5 which I could tolerate. It was an uneasy, unspoken mutual level of acceptance that we kept in place until she and the kid rode off to College in late 2019. There were weekly or biweekly conversations about our son or her mother's verbal abuse of her (she moved in with her Mom, and it was her Mom who brought CoVid into the home they shared. Her Mom passed away 9 days before my wife, also from CoVid ). It's been quite a journey/adventure. For those who trust in God and keep their end of the bargain he blesses them, one way or another. Is the word "submissive' even legal nowadays?

    • @brians1793
      @brians1793 3 роки тому +15

Only if the man is being submissive, if anything men are shamed for NOT being that, even when it's absolutely beyond their will to be that. Happened to me in a narcissistic abusive family as the youngest, my twin sister being enabled to be very abusive and manipulative to me and me being forced to be 'submissive' in general, even though that wasn't my personality at all.
I'm a lot like a sigma male, I have no problem assuming a fairly submissive role with leaders, depending on WHO it is, that's what they didn't get. I could be a leader, but ONLY if I truly believed I was the best leader, I'd say if I think another person would be better for the role. But I can't stand people that want to lead because of their ego, or because they're just a narcissistic abusive person.
I'm naturally a strong, intelligent, 'independent' type with a strong will, patience, and discipline(more so than most adults when I was only 12 TBH), basically everything narcissists can't stand partly because they wish THEY were true intellectuals and things like that instead of having to fool others into thinking they're 'smart'. I ended being the scapegoat/invisible child/truth teller because of it. I seldom spoke truth because of how abusive everyone could be, often punishing me for months on end for calmly speaking truth in the most respectful way possible. I would only do it when it was really necessary and important to me, partly because I knew it most likely would have no positive outcome and just cause problems, but if there was even a small chance I could successfully hold my dad for example accountable.
The total lack of self-awareness and accountability was unreal. Like he asks me if I want to go fishing with an uncle, and I jokingly make a play on word choices or whatever and make it VERY clear with a smile, tone, ect I'm joking, and he acts like it's serious. Then 4 months later he asks me and is clearly still so mad about before not understanding even after saying SEVEN times I was joking, but he's so stubborn once he sees something a certain way, treating his assumptions like 'fact' because God forbid he ever realizes and admits he was wrong to see something a certain way. He's almost shaking, asks if I want to go fishing, doesn't even give me a chance to answer, and says if I don't want to go I can just go anyway.
Then 7 months later after I totally stop joking with him, he asks me why I never joke with him and takes is so personally, omfg. I tell him EXACTLY why and he still doesn't get it. Meanwhile he tries to play his 'jokes' seriously, and I have a great sense for when someone is joking, but he knows I know he's joking, and keeps acting 'serious'. Then the instant I start to actually wonder is he actually serious, THEN he plays it off like I'm being ridiculous to think he wasn't joking. That or jokes at my expense and I don't necessarily take it personally, I just don't think it's funny, then my brother in particular LOVES making 'jokes' at other's expense, then gets upset when people don't think it's funny, even though he's the worst at taking jokes at his own expense and everyone knows it, and that's partly why it bugs people.
He's so narcissistic he expects people to ignore that and let him make jokes at other's expense, AND act like he's soooo funny to top it off, and not ever give him shit back. I don't react at all and he tries to act like I'm 'being ridiculous', I can be the most nonreactive person and people will act as if that means I'm 'upset' or whatever when they're trying to bait me or get under my skin. That or it's ONLY because I know how extremely patient I can be with the bullshit, but they absolutely can't take the slightest negative criticism, I literally don't even have to actually say or do anything, just LOOK like I'm bothered by anything they say or do in life or like I'm losing my patience and it'll offend them.
Or here's a good one, my dad will say about someone else "He thinks his shit don't stink!". He can be so pathetic when it comes to being a people pleaser and almost act like he's a 'victim' because of it, like when I knock on the bathroom door when he's mid-shit but I don't know it at the time. He instantly flushes, doesn't even wipe or wash his hands, just pulls his pants up but hasn't zipped yet, when I could just use the upstairs bathroom as his way of trying to be 'considerate', even though I'd rather he not do that partly because I'm left with a shit-smelling bathroom, and it makes it hard for me to respect him. I REALLY wanted a dad I could respect but he didn't realize how hard he made that, even with me saying exactly what he could do that would help, like not be so passive-aggressive and childish and act like I'm the problem when I refuse to respect that, and convinced everyone else I'm the problem and not him. I try to downplay my reaction to the smell of his shit, but not necessarily try to repress it totally and don't think too much about that. He sees me react just slightly, and gets OFFENDED by that. So I'm either supposed to totally repress the reaction altogether or pretend his shit smells good I guess, I can't even believe the irony when he says FIGURATIVELY that someone doesn't think their shit stinks, and then LITERALLY thinks his doesn't.
Sorry I wasn't going to go on a rant quite that long, but sometimes I get carried away once I get started lol. Recently watching videos on narcissism by Dr. Ramani made me realize how rare of a person I actually am, a lot of adults even can't spot red flags and bullshit, it takes a gifted kid to see that, even when I was only 8 but 12 is when I was really starting to realize it could be a lifelong problem if I don't try my best to call people out and hopefully get people to see the problems I did, and things that needed to change, but I didn't realize how hopeless it was to hold on to false hope and optimism as long as I have.

@@elmateo77 Yeah, I'm realizing one of the hidden intentions of feminism is to disrupt human biology. That and body positivity is basically brain-washing women into committing self-harm, like 's*xual liberation' ruining pair-bonding for good, and self-improvement is basically 'self-hate' when it comes to being overweight. It's like telling a hard drug addict they should love themselves for being an addict and not do anything about it, or a smoker, it's ridiculous. Then even top 10% attractive men are shamed for refusing to date morbidly fat women, even when the women themselves openly admit they're not attracted to men their size and won't date them. When you're an older guy that still has a strong love of women, like a fatherly tough love of younger women in particular, it honestly hurts to see how much it's actually hurting women.
I've been realizing smart phones and social media is like a Trojan horse families take in that is ruining them within. Especially since the pandemic, it's like the whole country has become a massive digital 'tribe', but humans have a hard time comprehending past 120-150 people as being humans. I'm realizing I was really born a high-value male when it comes to things like intelligence, traits, ect. I can't help but feel like I'm an older member of a tribe and our women are under attack and being turned against us. IDK if I mentioned this in my past comment, but feminism incentivizing women to phase out fathers besides also ruining men and making men less attractive in the first place, is like a less blatant way of enslaving men than killing their wife and kids. It's almost more evil, because when enslaving the masses it's more ideal to keep them alive and convince them it's to their benefit. Much like people were convinced their smart phones are benefiting them, when it's actually part of what's enslaving us.

There is a beautiful dance to the vision you put forward in this video and the one for women’s need. When a woman feels safe and secure she will want to honor and respect the man who provides that. If a man feels like you are on his team, he will want to listen to you and here your thoughts and needs. The affection needed by women is a great conduit to lead to the sex a man needs.
The hard part is conversely, these can be very hard to connect when one or both are failing to serve the other in that way. If a woman doesn’t feel safe she will not respect her husband. If a mans affection is never reciprocated with sex he may be tempted to with hold affection.
Humility and a decision to seek to care for your spouse in the way they need it can lead to an amazing complimentary relationship.

The hugging, kissing or playing with your hair and beard part of affection is more important than just sex, though. Men want to feel wanted.
To me at least, its a way to show that my woman wants me and enjoys my company.
If she's not showing that then I'll start doubting whether she wants a relationship with me or not, regardless of what she says. Men put much more value in actions than we do in words.
The whole misconception that men are animalistic brutes that just want to hump at every opportunity is so tiresome.
We need to be touched more than we need sex. We need to feel wanted by the one we want.
Especially when we're in our prime and have grown out of the hormonal libido of our late teens and twenties.
You realize that there are plenty of men so starved of this that they pay prostitutes just to cuddle, right?

What so many women don't understand is that "submitting" to a husband does not preclude them being a strong woman. In it's most basic form, the term just means that he's got a majority vote. Unless the man doesn't respect his woman, then she has the ability to influence things without turning into a bitch, and still be able to buck up and accept when he decides that "this is the way it needs to be". But if he doesn't respect her opinion at all, then it's just going to be a nightmare for her.

I support him by helping him find solutions, preparing meals and keeping home tidy so he can focus on work outside of the home, and any other tasks he may ask me. And physical affection is a big deal for me too, ladies try it with your husband! Hugs, kisses, loving touches like hair/head or arm/shoulders go such a long way!
