  • We did a install on this awesome Lowbrow Sportster Chain kit:
    These things are a amazing upgrade from belt. Upgrading to a chain helps with the flex on taking off, wheelies, burnouts, etc. We recommend this chain kit to anyone and can be purchased at:
    www.lowbrowcustoms.com

    Thanks, very helpful review!
    Which type of EK chain do you use? ZVX3 or MVXZ would be enough?

    did you use stock bolts or longer one for the rear sprocket with space? what size are those bolts?

    Low Brow has a warning about using O ring Chains on their site with this kit. Did you have any issues with that EK chain rubbing on deceleration? Is that ZVX3 chain?

    Just wondering about the clearance from the rear pegs, I have completed the install and thanks for the vid really helped, looks like the clearance on the chain to rear peg is to close, did you have that issue?

    • @elsushibandit5389
      @elsushibandit5389 2 роки тому

      When I got mine done cause I'm running 15" shocks they had to remove the top bolt from passenger peg, grine the tab for the chain gaurd and cut a bit of the guard off near the front of the rear sprocket for extra clearance

    I had an old timer Harley mechanic tell me if you do a chain conversion you have to change your clutch to a wet clutch system.I feel like this is most likely untrue cause what about the old sportsters with chains?

      isaiahh702 had to buy a heavy duty impact driver to get it loose. A breaker bar didn’t even do it for me. $50 at harbor freight

      response and over all feel of a chain is entirely different from a belt.

    • @Ratridez

      More reliable , I converted my Electra glide to a rk o-ring pro chain long time ago , got sick of snapping belts .

    • @murphfee617
      @murphfee617 5 років тому +1

      If your into wheelies and rolling burnouts you'll get tired quick of snappin belts, better response an Low end tourque that Harley's are known for.

    It was painfull to see the belt cut! I see you dont need it, I just dont like seeing the pointless destruction. Remoiving an exhaust is worth less than a belts price.
