I have a friend who works for Walmart and he explained to me that Walmart's current goal is to try and become the next Amazon, which is why their website is so crazy with products from tons of different sellers that aren't actually Walmart themselves.

Yeah, it also causes people to assume they can demand anything to be price matched when it isn't even sold by us. Like, if that's how it worked, I'd make a listing selling a 5000 dollar computer for 20 and demand it gets price matched.

I worked at Walmart almost all of last year. I got sick and was out for 5 days, tried to give them a doctors excuse and was told they don't accept them. After doing more research it appears that this is a completely normal thing for Walmart to do. Needless to say they fired me. I hate Walmart, but its one of the only stores where I live. Sadly they also never gave me a tax form or anything, and me being 18 and stupid didn't do anything, and i might owe the IRS money, because missing documents or something. Anyway, enough of my rambling. I hope you all have a nice day!

As a tip from someone who worked in retail before:
Getting into Walmart is not hard at all. If we are talking about unique SKUs in physical stores, an average walmart will have upwards of hundreds of thousands of items for a single store. In comparison, places like Costco will likely have 2000-3000 unique SKUs instead as Costco aims to be more exclusive (hence the idea of being a member of a club) and sell "premium" goods. Walmart will always be known to sell lower quality items.

They tried to, or actually passed, an anti-counterfeiting law last year. The solution was requiring all seller that make $2000 on shops, not a high amount, to dox themselves.
That’s great for fighting counterfeiting, but what happens when someone wants to sell say ACAB merch while living in a small town where anyone who’s too critical of the police gets anonymous “tips” made against them. Seen it first-hand, and any solution I’ve seen proposed against counterfeiting has just been an attack on the privacy of seers.

Of all the things you could do to make money, selling bootleg youtuber merch is one of the least harmful & exploitative. These bootleggers probably put in more hours "working" than most youtubers.
The correct stance is to not care about this. At all. Unless you are one of the rich youtubers having a few dollars taken away from your revenue, you rlly have no reason to concern yourself with this nonsense. Keep up the good work, bootleggers. Stack yo bread.

This isn’t true. 😅 Walmart pays 15.00 across the USA now for starting positions. Some non managerial positions are 17-18. As a Walmart employee; I make too much money for food stamps as the limits are way below that. Those who make 15 that are full time make 2600 before taxes (that’s how government assistance assesses your pay.) and the limits for families are below that. Usually between 1900-2200. Part timers usually average 30-32 hours a week which still puts them over the limits at 2080 a month unless they’re working less hours but let’s be real. What person is surviving on part time hours/income if they’re providing for themselves without additional income from roommates etc? Yes, there are people who work at Walmart on government assistance, for sure, but Walmart does pay above usual entry level pay across the USA while also providing 401ks, life, medical, and other insurances (pretty low cost too), yearly bonuses, etc it’s not as bad as people make it look.

It’s a private seller just using Walmart as a medium to sell. He just needs to go after that company, which when you click on the Merch it says who that is.

I work at a fortune 50 retailer and often times companies of Walmart’s scale will work with manufacturers that produce the majority of a specific good for many competing brands worldwide. These producers will submit designs to merchants if they believe a design can sell in a market. Depending on the size of the factory you worked with to create the hoodies and whatever was outlined in your contract with them, it could be possible that the manufacturer itself submitted a modified version of your clothing to Walmart and it was missed as being a knockoff.
