- Today is a special day for Malaysian people. We joined the parade at Dataran Merdeka in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital, to celebrate their national independence day! Hari Merdeka or Hari Kebangsaan is an important day for all Malaysian's and we could see this in the turn out at the event. Over 50,000 people were expected to attend, but based on the crazy crowds of people, it could have been many more...

Happy independence day Malaysia! 🇲🇾 Who went to celebrate? how was your experience?
Terima kasih( thank you)
it was super cool out there today🌿🌿🌿🌿🍁🍁🍁💨💨🤙🏻🤙🏻
its same situation like u hahahhahah... i need air..air air....hahhahah
untuk pengetahuan malasia Merdeka hasil dari hadiah dari Inggris. percaya enggak percaya umno memohon kepada Elisabeth untuk supaya Merdeka secepatnya karena desakkan..
Terima kasih... Thank you🇲🇾🇲🇾
The government was expecting 50,000 ppl to attend the parade, but guess what? There were actually 100,000 ppl. Proud to be a Malaysian and most importantly, thanks for the video, it is awesome!!
That's crazy! Thanks 🙏
But I think it's almost 1m people
After 2 years without merdeka parade, people were excited to finally see one
Im a Malaysian and living in Malaysia my whole life. Never once have I ever saw the parade in real life cause I know how crowded it is just by looking through the livestream. I doubt I would also be able to see anything myself cause of my petite height. 😂 Anyways, hats off to you guys for making the effort to go there and film the parade 🙌🏻
I am Malaysian and I have been to the parade only once as far as I remembered and that was more than 40 yrs ago.
You should try, go with your family. It's an eye opener. Don't worry about your height, if children can go & see surely you can. Go EARLY, parked along Bank Negara and walked in.
It was that time we wished we were taller...
Sudah pernah ke Indonesia mister
I still remember that last year because of the pandemic the parade didn't allow anyone in only the leaders and it only goes live stream, becuase that day we're in our park right at 7am++ playing badminton, in return we saw the aircraft flying over for 8 rounds. It's a memorable merdeka to me.
0:38 not simply bunch of people but they are the malaysian athletes who competed in commonwealth birmingham and won multi medals. they were involved in the parade.
Yeah we realised when they joined the parade later 😅
Happy indepedence day Malaysia! From your neighbouring country Singapore!
Tq bro from Malaysia people
Terima kasih jiranku. Majulah Nusantara!
thank you sir ❤❤
For malaya bro Malaysia day suppose to be on 16 September
Remember who form Malaysia its Singapore North Borneo sabah and Sarawak
After 2 years not celebrating due to pandemic, this was the best celebration ever
U right.
however, super crowded it's insane
Of course because 2 years no parade
@@truthurts704 Especially with 100k people at the time thats insane
I really RESPECT both of you for making the effort to go there. Pity that it is so busy and you can't enjoy the show - I think it is beyond anybody's expectation. Watched it on TV and noticed how many attendees are there and the parade was great too. Thank you for celebrating it with us Malaysians. Subscribed !
Now go have another kedondong-asam boi drink to re-energised yourselves 🙂
Maybe in the future, they should put large screens at various spots so people who came can watch it on the screen as well.
Right? They should have put big screens all over the city so the crowds can watch at many places together. I really pity the small children who were squished.
Thanks 🙏 I think more screens would have been good!
You guys might not realised it, you guys managed to record the other views of the ppl attending the parade. There would be a lot of videos showing the parade itself but yours would be definitely different. Salam Hari Merdeka to you and all Malaysians.
Thank you!
damn so crowded and it’s giving me anxiety already 😂 glad to see this parade! Love from the neighbouring country, Singapore 💕
Congratulations....you guys is the first UA-camr publish the parade....thanks 👍
The best Merdeka Parade so far... 2 years not celebrating so imagine how excited people are... ;-)
12:48 they chant "Daulat Tuanku" which mean "Long live my King 👑".

Your effort to go through that sea of people celebrating my beloved country independence day , deserving more appreciation than we malaysian could give , the least i can do is subscribe to you..
Well done you guys..
Much appreciated
Wow this year's crowd was phenomenal. Probably because of two years of COVID restrictions and no celebrations. Thank God everything went well without any untoward incident.
I watched the parade on TV. Thanks to you guys, now I know what it was like behind the scene. Love to watch all Malaysians from all walks of life sang the National Anthem and took pledge of Rukunegara (just like pledge of allegiance) together. From their faces I know they didn't care about how crowded the place is. They just wanted to be part of the occasion and celebrated National Day with pther fellow Malaysians. Love it!
Glad we could take you there with us!
Happy Merdeka Day to Malaysia...
Im Happy from Tarjikistan😘

Welcome to Malaysia! Hope you guys are having a great time here. Anyways, I actually took part in the parade in the early 1990s representing my employer. I remember we had to practice for about month prior to the actual day but it was worth it! The experience will forever live on inside my heart.
Thanks joining us for independent day 2022 at Kuala Lumpur . We Malaysian very appropriate so much
The crowds was insane. But i'd love to see all Malaysian gathered celebrating our National Day
they are saying: daulat tuanku - which means "long live the king"
Thank you for coming MALAYSIA 🇲🇾
Wow i didn't know that i was so close to you guys. Alot of people push each other around so it becomes congested. I was sandwiched by people of different sizes, looks, race, religion haha!
It's the best celebration ever. It's so joyous...quoting what you said : "Everyone is still smiling despite the squeeze" 😅 - something like that. You can genuinely feel different highly-charged positive vibes where Malaysians of all race/religions flock together in the true spirit of independence . I think the celebration is so meaningful to us mainly due the 2 years Movement Control Order where this is the first time, everyone gets to see the occasion together again. Perhaps also due to some great and transparent improvements made in the judiciary system in Malaysia (yes we still need to work on it)
It's totally different than 3 years ago (open parade I mean) where now there are astounding display of sophisticated/electronic heavy military ranged weapons/artillery and the first time seeing life feeds from the fighter jets - two of the new elements I've never seen before.
There are so many parties working so hard to make this happen. I would to thank them all for such a great job.
13:10 The white car on the screen carried our King and Queen.
After 2 years of no celebration due to Covid, this time people came out to celebrate it
Thank you for your effort. Subscribed!

Totally agree!
There are 2 landmark dates... 31/8 was independence from British and 16/9 is Malaysia Day when Sabah & Sarawak joined Peninsular to form Malaysia as we know it now.
Happy Independence Day Malaysia
The area is quite crowded, may everything be cyberprotective and abundant health to be healthy and cheerful in your daily bro aamiin

Selamat Hari Merdeka 🇲🇾🥳🎉✌️! My gratitude to you guys for braving through oceans of people to provide us with this first-hand experience of the celebration. Appreciate all your efforts and determination to be literally at the ground zero of the Merdeka's celebration, enduring scorching heat, extreme crowds and probable risk of asphyxiation. Hope you two had pleasant and memorable times here, take care and drink plenty of aqua to remain hydrated 😉..see ya'!

It about 100k + Malaysians gather at Dataran Merdeka to watch the parade for Merdeka/Independence day this year. People start gathering early 5 am for the event.
I think more 500 000 people
Awesome video from the ground. I watched this live from the comfort of my home. ☺️😂 Thx for uploading this. Oh, there were huge cheers from the crowd when the fire brigates team passed by because there were some big, muscular firemen posing on top of their vehicles with their fire equipments. 💪😂.
